No grounds (64,657) by Nikki from usa
I can't believe you got a nasty gram from Mariah's lawyers to take down your site. That's BS. Especially, for a site like this which is essentially news with sources. I don't know if you've had further issues with them since then, but that is around the time Prince began his crusade against copyright infringement. All the cool lawyers were doing it. I don't think she'd jump on that train due to her actions in the past. A few years ago a fan had her remix for Joy up on YouTube, but it was just the audio. Mariah added the track to her online playlist. She doesn't seem to have an issue with fans using her stuff and is always bragging about how creative her fans are. Did you ever hear the story about George Lucas and Mad Magazine? Lucas called the publisher to tell them how much he enjoyed the Star Wars parodies on the same day his own lawyers sent Mad a cease and desist letter claiming Lucas film was due damages. They (Mad magazine) sent a copy of that letter to Lucas and the problem was never heard of again. I don't really see Mariah heading a legal team to attack her fans. It seems counter productive.

B and Mike (64,655) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
B, after the fifth splash, the snap chats alone will break the internet haha. And you killed me with the finest lingerie and fishnets from the House of Carey and Bulochnikov. I am all about that life. Mike, I gave out such a terrible giggle after reading your post, I just can't. The blush is a necessity. We gotta blush ourselves up like our life depends on it and you best believe no beauty blenders will be allowed on the show.

Sorry and not sorry (64,654) by 123 from USA
Travon, I want to apologize to you for everything I said. I went too far on a devoted fan and even though I took offense to what you said, I shouldn't have went in like that. I hope that you come back to the board. I know you said you don't need me to help defend you, I just hated how you were being spoken to and here I am, being a big hypocrite lashing out at you as well. I just hate how goldie locks tend to pick on the the same 4 people over and over again (you, Mimi L, B, and Giovanni) or anyone else he considers easy targets. So I tend to reply to him for people when he thinks he has got them pinned in a corner. Maybe one day, if you are in the city, if you accept my apology, we can even hang out. Moving on to the canary of the board. One tends to wonder how you would start a petition regarding photoshop when you pic is air brushed to the gawds and your dark roots are peaking out from that platinum blond. Someone seems to have more in common with Mariah then they care to admit. Even Mishka would do a better job. Mimi L, put your beauty blender down. He woke up like that.

Edward I have always loved and agreed with your posts and one day I'ma come to NY and party with you. Andrew I feel you are harsh at times but I actually agree with you 99.9 repeating percent of the time, I would just tone down the language. Webmaster, I agree you have an outstanding site and I come every day even if I don't post often, please keep it up. I credit this site for me staying an MC fan. For MC. I don't know exactly what you are feeling right now with your relevance waning, as it does with all artists at a certain point. Your contemporaries, Celine, Whitney, Madonna, Janet etc, are not selling records or able to remain mainstream for various reasons. This is normal. When you and your contemporaries were big in the 90s and 00s where were the hit records from Diana Ross, Patti Labelle, Chaka Khan, Roberta Flack and Donna Summer? This is normal. Am I counting you out as a legacy artist? Hell no. You have a way of surprising us. Cher was 54 when she hit #1 with Believe. And you are 12 times the musical genius she is. The only way you could have a hit and/or make your fans happy is to return to the music and make that your focus. Strip down the vocal layering, rappers, production and singing notes you can sing in the studio on "good days" and are not able to replicate live at any moment. You are a natural beauty. You don't need the ensembles, hair extensions and all that make up. If you sang a lyrical album with just you, piano and guitar, all of your fans would die of happiness. You are the greatest of all time. There is a lot getting in the way of everyone remembering that. Remind them. I am still listening to Vanishing, Music Box, Looking In, Butterfly, My All, Close My Eyes, Outside, Petals, Through The Rain, Right To Dream and Languishing. I consider those your genius moments. You a once in a lifetime artist. Remind the masses. Remind us.

Question (64,652) by Marissa from USA
Edward's point about the dwindling amount of lambs made me think of this question. What dealbreaker, if anything, could ever make you want to leave Mariah's fanbase? I don't mean refusing to buy anymore music, but choosing to stop being tuned into the daily happenings of her life.

Andrew, she's a she (64,650) by Edward from USA
Andrew, Mimi L. is a beautiful young lady. She has teased us with her photo a couple of times, but then took it down. So, your confusion has been lifted. Our Web-ality could be called, just because of the drama and stuff: "The Real Lambs of MCArchives". Andrew, no, you're not going to the be the white version of Nene Leakes, lol. Once again I want to say a thousand Thank You's to Eric for keeping this website up, and for dealing with all of us. I know it could be frustrating at times, since you have to read though all the madness, and usually remain neutral. You are a devoted fan, and I appreciate when you interact with us from time to time. Mariah Daily went down because it relinquished its control to Mariah's team. If it wasn't confirmed by Mariah's team or something positive, they didn't post it. And that's why people stop losing interest in it. It was once a great website. I do believe in balance, and when there's not balance or some sort of opposition, things usually turn into a distributorship and boring. I just hope that Mariah wakes up in time and realizes that she doesn't really have that many fans left, and that she's about to face a rude awaking if she doesn't do something to reconnect with what's left.

Why? Just because he collaborated with Ariana Grande? That's ridiculous. She isn't even successful, and I must say that their song isn't even remotely good.

Unreleased song (64,643) by Giovanni from USA
I wish Mariah would give her fans a treat by uploading an unreleased song from "The art of letting go" on her Vevo or Twitter. Her vevo account is boring. She should have done this by now. If "I'll still be around" and "Save the day" were indeed actual recorded tracks I'd love to hear them.

You don't know what to do (64,642) by Giovanni from USA
Definitely had the potential to be a hit song with a proper video and promotion. The live performance from "Good Morning America" is better than the studio version because of the added back up singers. The musical arrangements were superb. Mariah cannot be letting great songs go to waste. I find it funny at how long Mariah has been in the business yet she can't pick her own singles. "You're mine" grew on me but it was a terrible single choice. And there are simply no words for "Infinity".

Re: So, on another note (64,616) (64,641) by Haiji Toro from USA
Darren, great idea for the single. I really enjoy those type of slow grooves. Breakdown is very underrated. I always wanted her to promote it much more than it was back then. I'm sure it's a hard song for her to perform but I'd love to hear a full live version, maybe even a version without Bone Thugs and extended/added ad-libs. Overall, hope she comes up with a song with your type of idea. I asked the initial question about a new single, but when I started typing out mine, I ended up making a project out of it lol. I'd love to post it but I feel like I did too much and others on here might not really care for it. Besides, it may be too long and detailed for the webmaster to post it lol. Either way, maybe one day I'll work for Mariah''s team and show it to her.

I just wanna say thank you for everything you've done for the site. I'm happy that Jeff asked you that question, most of us would've never known your story. I think it's great how you also take the time out to interact with us. Please continue the great work you've been doing with this site. It's just a shame that Mariah even tried to shut it down in the past, if she only realized how much work and dedication you've put into it. It's bizarre that anyone would wanna stop someone else for showing some type of support. Thanks again, God bless.

Mimi L.? I don't even know if you're a boy or a girl (I wish everyone would put their pictures up to make it more personable) and directly and only to you: We may not agree with each other, we may argue, I'm sure we would have very animated conversations in person, but I (internet buddy-wise) respect you for the post to which I'm replying. I don't respect so many of your other posts but you give a [censored] and I absolutely know that I really do. I want people to think my way, and you, and others, yours. Perhaps that is why this website has survived. (Aand made Eric millions - the lawyers want the money, Mariah needs a new ring. And fat injections to be airbrushed out at a later date, apparently - ha, old habits die hard.) Negative articles are posted, as are my style of posts. It's a free-for-all honest debate. If Travon can't hack it then let him go. I'm not giving up on *my* Mariah (if I could, I'd send you videos of me telling everyone sat waiting around me at the O2 in London exactly why Mariah is [censored] awesome, and ones of me singing along with her, beaming like a monkey). I like this website because it's an opportunity for me to talk about the truth in re: my music idol. I don't enjoy the [censored] of the last few years. I document it. But play a Mariah song and I go nuts (I was at a friend's birthday in Covent Garden last night and someone next to us said "Mariah Carey" and she and I were banging on for just under an hour about how [censored] awesome Mariah's music is, much to my friend's chagrin). Essentially, Travon was wrong to attack this board. And it was a slap in the face to your support of him, and I'm not down with that. This board relates what die-hard fans think about on a daily basis. That can only ever be a good thing, whether we are people cut of similar cloth or not. And, yeah, Edward plagiarises me. But I love him, nevertheless. And in response to your next one: "I disagree with you. Stella4Eva". Wish you well.

Re: Good Lord (64,631) (64,636) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I think we should all just go ahead and get our own reality show, Lord knows it will be a hit. We have the drama, the emotions running wild, the rare moments when we all agree, the so-called conspiracies and what not. From Andrew and I fighting to me agreeing with him and then back to fighting. RJJ12, Licia, Mara and Marissa being the voice of reason. The constant fights between Travon and Andrew with misspelled names and what not only for them to agree just once which led to the million dollar "Are my conversations with Andrew and finally agreeing with him rubbing people the wrong way?" question that Travon asked (which came out of nowhere). Edward dropping truth bombs (he should really post more though, his messages are on point). Travon going from this sweet, positive Mariah lamb to suddenly claiming emotional abuse and then running to the "classier" UKMix where he continues to bad mouth this board. Me supposedly trying to get Stella fired so that I can move in to Mariah's closet. Last but definitely not the least, Eric going through all the messages (especially the big ones, now that we don't have a word limit) and approving messages while simultaneously keeping the Archives updated as well and occasionally giving us his opinions (by the way Eric, I can't thank you enough for keeping this board active and not selling it to Mariah). Mariah's World has nothing on MCA World. We should sell this show idea to E. We will dethrone the Kardashians as reality TV royalty in no time.

Re: Webmaster questions (64,633) (64,635) by Andrew from UK
This is beyond fascinating. So without reason Mariah told you to take down the site and hand over revenues? I'm completely shocked. As I told you before I thought Marij would bend over and kiss your ass for doing this site. I understand that you post negatives as well as positives but as an example, for every negative comment I make, there are ten people jumping on it. The only bad press is no press, surely. I remember an interview during the Rainbow promotion, with Jamie Theakston (whose back and forth flirtatious with Mariah every interview were hilarious) for the oZone (90's Uk music programme), where he lists some of her accomplishments to her face, and one of them was the number of websites dedicated to her (in 1999 a big deal) and she was chuffed and humbled. Mariah's abandonment of social media now seems to be part of a deep-rooted ill. Why would she suddenly start hating fan sites? And professional ones, at that? And she wants your money? Maybe somebody can she some light on the rationale behind it because I can't find it.

Re: (64,623) plus my view on the current (64,627) (64,634) by RibbonB from USA
MDJ had slowed down considerably from when she first married Nick and then when she was pregnant. Open, unmoderated forums get too nasty and mean obviously. But MDJ was good for the current news, pictures, print and radio interviews. They were good at what they do, just as MCA is great at what it does. I enjoy this messageboard and I also have taken extended breaks from it. I don't think anyone is obsessed by Stellar, but she does inject herself and her kids into the mix, so it will make for lively conversation both for or against. and people arguing about it. Lol. My last point about Stellar and reality show producers as villains was just to point out that if people think she is being discussed or vilified too much now on a Mariah fan site, just wait until the show hits the waves and therefore social media. Perhaps they want to stop Mariah from seeing it, but it won't stop anyone from speaking their mind on the net. And Mariah will probably take the worst of it when and if the show airs.

Re: Webmaster questions (64,629) (64,633) by Webmaster Eric from the Netherlands
I have no idea. Prince also didn't like fansites. Maybe because I publish all news and not only the news approved by Mariah's team. A couple of years ago, fansites were forced to only publish news from the official website or else they would be blacklisted. That's when Mariah Daily started publishing less and less news. The official website nowadays is a joke (in 2010 there were 365 articles, in 2015 only 51 articles and this year only 7).
