Travon. I always knew you were a screwball lol seriously bro, chill out. I don't know from where you get this idea of being constantly attacked but I think you've actually been well supported on this website, not least from Mimi L. who as the board regular championed and defended you. Your position is just not based in reality and it's bothersome. I agree with G.G., the drama is pointless. So cut it out and post your opinions (even though I hate most of them and do think you're annoying). If not, fare well.

Dearest May, I am (internet buddy-wise) in love with you right now. Some people really are Stella obsessed and it's not at all veiled very well. Maybe it's not Andrew vs everyone then lol. Much love to Kongeriget Danmark

What was the possible legal reasoning for trying to force a site takedown and you to hand over advertising revenue? I can't see any legal basis for that. That's kind of outrageous. Mariah tried to have this site shut down? So basically she doesn't even want it here? Outrageous. Audacious.

Just wanted to say thank you very much for keeping up this website, it must also require a fair amount of effort and time. It has helped me go through some of my negative moments as a fan and find the light in the end to keep supporting Mariah's music. In a time when I had big doubts about her as a songwriter, Shelly's light hearted posts, Edward's beautiful coherent and rational words kept me afloat, this community has done a lot for me as a fan, I even enjoy those Andrew vs everyone posts that come up sometimes. The only site where I could vent my frustration and not be shunned away has been this one and only this one. I had taken a big break once but it is always nice to come back and see many new people with great views. Wished I saw more of some of the old ones but reading fresh newcomers is also great. Thanks for your hard work.

That website was dead long before that. It hardly had any relevant pictures, was not up with all that was happening, articles were few, the forum community it started like thw one in the time Mariah was pregnant didn't last a month, it was shut down and the normal forum (where lots of opinions were deleted and users banned) kept running but no one likes a place where you can't express 100% what you actually feel, even if it is venting for a moment. This is the only place from all forum communities where what lambs/fans/casual listeners can be open. That is except the illuminati freaks hahaha. And then they had their space for a time. So being open now, I will say that the only reason preventing me from commenting anything or checking as often is because now this community feels more like Stella archives and the shared hatred by some. It got to a point where I can't be bothered as everything some lambies talk about is Stella, it's like an obsession and while I don't care about her I won't make her bigger either. All the small talk about her make her more relevant than Mariah. I understand there's no current music but I think people are placing energy in the wrong places. I love Mimi L. and other posters but right now I prefer to take a step back until the Stella tide passes by. I will keep up with the site, it's the best one out there, it truly is an archive and nothing beats its simplicity and organization, plus it has some of the best lambs in it that makes it worthy reading.

Mariah's resung vocal mixes (64,626)
by Sheila from United States
| |
|
|
Her old resung vocal mixes are perfection, from the Breakdown remix to "I still believe" to the incredible "Can't take that away". She had the gospel in her voice on some of those house mixes. 1. "Honey" house mix with those ab-libs 2. "Anytime you need a friend" mixes 3. "Butterfly" mixes

Thank you. Breakdown is also one of my favorite songs, hands down one of Mariah's finest moments. The remixes you mentioned are also magical, I have a special place in my heart for her old remixes.

That was very insightful. I guess that explains what happened to some of the other fansites. With or without the others, you have given us a great fansite and I'm glad you didn't quit. I remember the times when most of the posts on this board were fans looking to trade items. Now it's a big community, fans discuss a whole range of things. And your discography page is still unparalleled. It's what first got me onto this website back in 1999. Thank you for everything you've done to make MCA the best fansite.

I've known Mariah from the start, but she did not impress me. I liked her Unplugged concert, but that was all. When her song Hero came out, I bought the single because I liked the song. But I wasn't a fan yet. That did change when I watched the UK chart on MTV and Without You entered the chart at number 1. There wasn't a video for this single, so they only had an audio for a few seconds. After these seconds I was sold. I started buying everything she released, from CD-Singles to cassettes and DVD's. I now have a collection of almost 1500 items. I've met Mariah in person once, although I had to wait because she was six hours late. The security guy then told us we couldn't touch her. When it was my turn, I just touched her anyway and she didn't mind. She also knows about my website, which I started 18 years ago, because I received a letter from her laywer ten years ago. He summoned me to quit the website and hand over all the money I made from it. Ofcourse I did not. For some reason she and her team never liked my website. They never ever mentioned it when they had a page of fansites on her official website. And now I think mine is the only fansite left.

Hello Webmaster, I apologize if you have answered this before, but would you be willing to share how you came to love MC? What "era" did you become a fan? Have you met her? I'm sure you put a great deal of time and effort into the site, and I very much appreciate what you do. Thanks in advance.

Darren, I love your reply. As Breakdown is my all-time favorite song, I would love a new take on it musically and lyrically. I also have fond memories of the remixes My All (Stay Awhile), Heartbreaker (If You Should Ever Be Lonely), and I Still Believe (Pure Imagination). Brilliance.

Still read my messages, though, don't you, princess? Go ahead and, um, not read them. I will contribute to the board whether you like my opinions (which many people now agree with where once they didn't) or not. Your contributions seem to mostly be about, um, me. Itchy under your skin, right? Keep scratching and I wish you well.

Thank you Jeff for the reply and support. I think your idea of the song is great. I'd love to hear how it would turn out. I like the idea of having a remix and club remix as well. God knows we've been waiting for those old school remixes she used to bless us with. I remember loving her My All/Stay Awhile Remix and the I Still Believe (Kings Remix). I'm still trying to come up with my idea.

Re: So, on another note (64,598) (64,616)

I would release it in the end of 2016 or early 2017, like in the very end of December of early January as there is less competition in the charts. The Mariah Christmas invasion is also likely to be still in effect so it will help with the sales. It would be a more contemporary, darker and more mature R&B, not necessarily ballad but more of a sexy slow jam (kinda like Janet's No Sleeep or Mariah's Breakdown, or if Mariah wanna show off her pipes, the song would lean more to Beyonce's Rocket). The vocals would be more understated and those classic layers of Butterfly era would be making a comeback. I think she should go solo but a The Weeknd feature or Maxwell would be amazing. She shouldn't try the surprise method first, I think she should go full-blown traditional single treatment.

Hell yeah to that idea. You Don't Know What To Do has potential to be a monster hit and could've charted high in any era. It deserves full-blown single treatment.

Stellar is not ready (64,614)
by RibbonB from USA
| |
|
|
Miss Stellar, misspelled intentionally, is not ready for the readings and draggings she will incur if Mariah's World does air. She really isn't ready at all. Reality show producers like Mona Scott Young and Shaunie Oneal, get the business all the time especially from so called "Black Twitter". They are jokingly or sarcastically called pimps, slave drivers, etc. Stellar was low key and silent with TI and Tiny's show, which is a cute show actually. She is a part of the new Gary Owen show, which I do intend to watch, but her high profile in relation to Mariah's World automatically makes her and her daughters targets. It is the nature of the beast and they seem to want it that way. They may become popular, I doubt they are the next Kartrashians, but it also may not go over very well at all. That is the risk everyone takes in participating in a reality show. People often react harshly to reality stunts, but at the same time lots of people love mess when, if it ever airs and if it takes off. But then, it could also flop.

On another note (64,610)
by Jeff from USA
| |
|
|
In reply, this would be what I would like in the next single. I want a throwback sound, in the vein of The Roof. I want that husky lower register. I want that mid chest. I want her to sang. If it's too much to do live, don't do it in the studio. It invites hate. Lyrics about what she knows best: love, loss, and late nights. I want Jermaine producing and I want him to remind her why she is called the voice. I want a remix featuring Beyonce with new lyrics, layers, and harmony like no one has heard in a decade. I want a club remix like the old David Morales days. I want a super traditional release: radio, video, iTunes, and go out and sing. Hit up Ellen. Hit up GMA. Hit up SNL. Hit up Fallon. Bring Mr. Lorenz and Ms. Tatum, and utilize them like you do on tour. Shut down the critics, aka sing it live with the amazing talent in your heart. Teach these naysayers why you are who you are and why you have staying power. And when they ask you how it feels to have #19, be that humble and courageous and beautifully strong butterfly that we love. With honor and respect, I bow down.

Good Lord Travon. Really? Who forced you? This is horrible. I am really shocked that you would write something like this. "I have been a member of this forum since February. I don't think I have ever posted but wanted to say hello. I have been given a link to share. I am sharing it on behalf of MCarchives. They forced my hand emotionally to sign even though I didn't want to. After I post the link I will refer back to them and I will no longer be a member of their site. I hope you guys embrace me with open arms. Here is the link."
