Re: Petition or nah (64,375) (64,400) by Marissa from USA
I wasn't referring to optimistic or positive lambs in general, I was talking about the ones who think Stella can do no wrong and have become attack dogs for her to the point where they will go off on other lambs in defense of her, as if she's Mariah.

What's with the stockings? (64,399) by Lara from Middle East
Ok I get she always wears sunglasses with fluorescent lightning, but I don't get why she's always in stockings, especially with the sun and heat. It just ruins the whole look.

Re: Poor Nick perhaps (64,384) (64,398) by TRAVON AUSTIN from United States
I dont need a Nick Cannon or race lesson from you. I am black and I lived the most important era of Mariah's Emancipation. I am also from the hood. I am not saying it's Nicks nor am I saying it Mariah's fault. It's both of them as it should be. I am black by the way and this has nothing to do about race. I am talking about perception on Mariah's image. Everyone is so confused with Mariah and it's causing havoc now. Do you honesly believe the 12 million purchases of "The emancipate of Mimi" album came just from loyal fans? No. Half of those sales came from non fans that loved a few songs or 1. A majority of the success came fron the urban neighborhoods. I witnessed it and I lived in those same urban neighborhoods during that time. She was poppin from the cars and even grown non-gay masculine men were buying her albums just to hear , "So lonely (one and only) pt 1&2". The urban "we" never took Nick seriouslly. He was always considered a man who could not rap and he was notorius for being Mr. Nickolodean. Only kids and teens cared for the guy. He was always seen as being too corny and corny doesn't fly in the ghetto. When she married him she lost her hood credibility. That's the demographic she has been catering to since ODB. I know what I am talkng about. OK.

Re: Poor Mariah (64,369) (64,396) by TRAVON AUSTIN from United States
Mariah admitted in an interview mid 2000s that they have talked and she forgives him. It was after 2005 but before 2010. When she married Nick, the interviewers made it a priority to ask her constantly about her old marriage and the abuse. It's not bashing if someone is asking what happened and you provide a clear vivid answer. I can try to find it. I believe it could have been around 2008-2009 on Larry King when she opens up in detail. I might not be that interview either. He also supports her now since the success of TEOM. Vindication for both I am sure.

Re: A question for all (64,386) (64,395) by B from USA
She alternates. She either sings it live or she lips it. Either way I don't care. If she sang every note and run during a concert live she'd ruin her voice.

Re: A question for all (64,359) (64,394) by B from USA
The best things about this era are Mariah's Las Vegas residency and world tour. She's slaying. Her voice sounds better than it has in at least a decade and she's owning the stage. I'm cautiously optimistic about Mariah's docuseries Mariah's World. The teaser was promising.

They don't speak. I think the last time they spoke was a greeting in passing in 05. I think it was at a Save The Music benefit.

Re: Lambs defending Stella (64,372) (64,392) by B from USA
Tommy and Jennifer Lopez sabotaged Glitter. Tommy stifled Mariah creatively and micromanaged her career and life. When she left him he tried to ruin her career. Contrary to popular belief Jenny wasn't some innocent bystander. She knew what was going on. Nikki Minja disrespected Mariah. Mariah Carey is a living legend and she only shades those who deserve it. Stella isn't responsible for Mariah's vocal improvements or her residency. She's responsible for the Hallmark deal (deals), Mariah's World (docuseries/reality show), and world tour. Mariah's Merriest Christmas is her best special since the late 90's. I hope she does another special like Merriest Christmas or Hallmark airs it every Christmas. Mariah looks stunning and she sounds better than she has in years.

Tamar (64,390) by RibbonB from USA
I'm only commenting on her because that article is noted on this site, but she needs to have several seats. She looks a hot mess with all those face fillers. Calabasas is a cute city and all, but the attitude seems very "rich ratchet". Mariah has Tamar and Stellar for neighbors. Ugh. Tamar looks clownish and M does not have the same cute lovely face of 2008 and even when she was pregnant with dem babies she looked full faced and pretty and the changes may not be just from aging. And does Tamar know that ABMB is actually a breakup song? Lol.

Poor Nick (64,389) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
Ribbon B I have to disagree with you on statements regarding Nick because he was trying to get at Mariah fresh out of his relationship with Christina Milian. On another note Nick knew the status of Mariah's celebrity. Maybe if they did a little more dating and getting to know each other past six weeks maybe the results would have been different. But they gave it a shot and it did not work, at least they can say they got two precious gifts with the birth of Roc and Roe.

Re: Adam and Marissa petition (64,382) (64,387) by Mara from United States
What about her old true friend from Sweden, Josefin? She was seen with MC when she was on her SSFT so there is some kind of contact there. Also Big Jim? He is pretty accessible and personally replies on Twitter to fans. If you notice every time Mariah had those splashes and parties with Tanaka, Anthony and Stella, Big Jim was never seen. Almost like he wasn't in that "in crowd" or he was not into that scene. Who knows? Whatever the case he seems to genuinely care about Mariah as a friend and person and he seems to have strong faith so maybe we could get his attention. Problem is, people might be afraid of getting cut if they speak or show concern with Mariah. Maybe that is why Josefin could be the outlet since she is not one of Mariah's entourage and has been in Mariah's life since the very early days so the change in behavior has to be noticeable to her too.

Nah, I have never heard Mariah sing the WBT climax live, except for maybe BET Blueprint. She just uses a lot of different prerecorded climaxes. This year I think she recorded new climaxes though because the climaxes sound a lot more like her current voice than the other prerecords.

Re: Poor Nick perhaps (64,361) (64,384) by RibbonB from USA
Hey Trayvon. I think Mariah looked happy and confident because she was with Nick. He might have been one of the best things that happened to her. I also think he kept her in the press which she likes. Who knows maybe she used him, she certainly made a calculated risk marrying him, but he made an even bigger risk marrying her. He actually stood to lose quite a lot. While Mariah's legacy is in tact, almost no matter what she does, his certainly is not and he got attacked at every turn from her fans, clown's fans many people on many levels and yet he hung in there. Since none of us know what really happened to break them apart, it's not fair to blame it all on him. It takes two to want to make a marriage work, to move on or whatever. Just as I think M. is moving on for apparently not the best reasons, this too will bite her in the butt if she is not careful. And people blaming Nick because E=MC2 a million seller, with good songs suddenly stalled is ludicrous. The fans who wanted it bought it, just like the cd's which followed. Like people blame Obama for racism just because he got into office is absurd and misguided, IMO. Many people backlasshed because a black man dared to win, but they just showed their true nature and the media has highlighted racism again and again. People some how want to think two things correlate because they happened at the same time, but don't look at the full dynamics of one thing or the other. If Mariah's fan base is dwindling as you imply then wouldn't it be better if Mariah just got real and did good music. That has been her winning hand throughout her career.

Re: Stella has her good points too (64,379) (64,383) by Licia from USA
The only thing I give Stella credit for is helping Mariah to find ways to make money doing things besides music. She doesn't get credit for giving Mariah her confidence back or making her work on her voice. Those two things depend on Mariah to make it happen.

Adam and Marissa petition (64,382) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I'm definitely all up for a petition. Someone should arrange it. Adam, contacting Rae Rae and Jasmine probably won't work because they don't seem to be in contact with her for about 2 years now. Mariah usually meets Jasmine in London, but this time she didn't. Marissa I agree with all you said, we should start increasing pressure so Mariah has to take note. Man I wish she had some concert going on at the moment so we could urge the fans who bought M&G package to say this to her directly. I would have also said we should go ahead and contact L A Reid, but the man is clueless. I don't know if he'll help. He doesn't seem to care at all.

I too thought it was awesome that Mariah or whomever (lol) tagged Nick in the pics. I'm hoping that more pics are being shared with him privately, but I still appreciate this little gesture. Whether we like it or not that's their father. The only thing I'm positively sure of is that he and Mariah both love those children and children love them both. The adult thing to do is share those good moments with him. I'm also absolutely positive that it wasn't Mariah who posted the pic because of the caption. Those #demkids? Unless MC was wasted she didn't do that.

Re: Stella has her good points too (64,379) (64,380) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
1) If anything Mariah's fashion has deteriorated every time she tries to follow Stella's style. Every time she tries the dark smokey Stella look, it ages her and makes her look drag like. I am not judging drag queens, they do what they do and they are good at it, doesn't mean it's equally good for Mariah. Plus the long nail thing, what good does it do? Overall, I'll have to disagree.
2) Changing her set list? How do you know Stella suggested the change when she can't distinguish "Fantasy" from "Dream lover"?
3) Front and center with the reality show, which as of yet remains under "TBA" status. No news at all about when it will air.
4) If you think this is the most confident Mariah has been, you must have missed TEOM and E=MC2 era. Where she was fierce as hell.
I am not going to fully blame Stella for Mariah's negativity, because after all Mariah did hire her, but I refuse to give this woman credit by grasping at straws to find something positive to say when there is none.

Stella has her good points too (64,379) by Sheila from United States
Stella has helped Mariah on the fashion tip, the nails, the wigs are a little over-the top but at least they are modern and current. Stella also helped Mariah get that boring dreadful setlist together by adding [...], [...] and [...]. Stella has also put Mariah front and center with the reality show. While I do agree [...] and those dreadful daughters (Cinderella step-sister gross) are boring and tacky they have helped Mariah get a sense of confidence I have not seen before.

I'm all for you running it. "# B for MC social media oresident". Seriously I understand Mariah not wanting to run her own social media, even though it's not that hard. But ya maybe she doesn't like seeing negative comments so I'll excuse her, but she should at least hire a professional or one of her die hard lambs like you to run it.

Re: Poor Mariah (64,363) (64,377) by RibbonB from USA
I think it is great that she tags Nick with pictures of their children. Even though they are on vacation with Mariah, it's kind to let him appreciate these moments of his children growing up and having fun, especially the pic of Roc dabbing and throwing up deuces. Last I looked both Mariah and Nick still follow each other on Twitter and with two kids they will always have things to discuss and share.
