Vision of love (59,910) by Giovanni from USA
I don't care what anyone says. That was the best performance of the song since Blueprint. She's a lot more confident now going for the big belts and long runs. I'm happy.

Please don't ever put Kesha in the same sentence with Mariah. She has no talent.

1OAK (59,908) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Not loving the dress she wore to the 1OAK party. The makeup was also not on point and that splotchy tan is back. This look is a total no no. I don't get it, Mariah has slimmed down so much that she can carry off a lot of different types of clothes, why does she mess up with these choices when she has access to the greatest designers in the world?

1OAK ensemble last night (59,907) by Nick from USA
I feel like I am always posting about her looks here alot more lately but she looked spectacular last night. I love that she is starting to wear more short dresses instead of the long ball gowns. Also, her voice has been in the best state that it has been in this whole decade IMO. I am a very pleased lamb at the moment.

Mariah live - February 20th wow (59,905) by Dav from Ireland
I'm just back from the concert. Her vocals were amazing. Much better than I expected, she could release another 90's vocal style album if she chose too, all her talent is still there. And I was lucky enough to touch her when she reached out from the state. I think my husband tipped off her management team that I'd come a long way and was a huge fan. Long flight back ahead, but very happy.

Re: Vision of Love live (Las Vegas) February 19, 2016 (59,895) (59,904) by Malcolm from Asia
Oh my goodness gracious that was the best. I don't understand why some people are criticizing her voice over and over again like are they still a fan or what? Yes, I came to a point that every time I listen to Mariah, it irks me, it disappoints me, it saddens me because of the state of her voice. But whenever she had a good performance, I give her the props, I appreciate it and I'm trying my best not to be critical about it. Come on, Mariah slayed on this performance, I'm not saying it's a 1990-debut type of greatness or whatsoever but in my heart with my personal compromises, she did great, I felt that goosebumps and satisfaction that I need to feel. It only annoys me why this is not the performance that she showed in the BMAs performance damn it. It could be great, she would have a positive feed backs from the public and earned a standing ovation, even the ever respectful first rows will be amazed. I know Mariah is really getting there and if somebody will still deny and criticize her capacity as an artist, seriously I am close enough with this.

Kesha and Mariah (59,903) by David F from Mexico
I feel bad for Kesha, she is going for what Mariah went too. The music industry is a cold place if you lose your connections with the people who helped you build a hit or two. Mariah fought very hard and was released. She was aware that the revenge would come at a price when she left them. I hope she never loses her faith and her love for making music. Mariah is now an example of overcoming obstacles for the artists and people.

Drake / Beyonce (59,898) by Giovanni from USA
I'm all for a song with Drake. I don't mind his music at all. I think him and Mariah could pull off something good. However I'm hoping the rumors about a Beyonce duet are false. I feel it would be desperate move from Mariah. Needing Beyonce for relevance or a hit. She doesn't need Beyonce. Beyonce's new song has flopped, and it seems the rest of her album will too. Her producers are writing terrible lyrics and giving her bad songs. So let Beyonce die out as soon as possible. She's taken Mariah's spotlight for years now, so now it's time for Mariah to take it back and shine again.

Re: Not a good look (59,884) (59,894) by 123 from USA
She did get relaxed after TMB but the single choice isn't hers, it's the labels. That's part of the reason why she hasn't had another number one. Yes, I definitely agree the videos need to stop being so bad. Invest in a director that is going to have you play out a story, with some prompts, something big like the Honey video (it's really her best one). Although I don't agree that her rental a rapper formula as you call it is what is preventing her from getting another number 1. Can you image if Mariah came out with a song with Drake on the record and if it was really good, it would blow up. If she would have promoted YDKWTD with Wale it could have gone number 1. I like him on the song as I think he adds something to it but I don't like him in the intro, that should just be her. Here is a version without him.

The key to success (59,893) by Marquise from USA
I know some goats say Mariah can't get a hit and blah blah anymore but if you look back at her recent lead singles, Obsessed peaked at #7. It could've reached #1 probably, but I believe she only performed the song twice (Lopez Tonight and Americans Got Talent) which was the downfall of that song lack of promo for it. Next was the lovely #Beautiful which was a refreshing sound for her more people wanted her to keep going in that direction musically and what not, but anyways the song was doing well they signed a clear water deal to have it played at the top of the hour all day on the top 40 radio stations. That helped it get to the young audience and people started buying the single and it got rave reviews. I remember reading an article from Billboard about #Beautiful possibly debuting at #1 from the high percentage of downloads and airplay it was getting but all of it didn't count altogether because of the cut of day so half of it went towards another week which messed the charting up, but Mariah had a hit on her hand and I believe the reason it didn't go #1 or get into the top 5 was because of the string of "bad" performances of the song plagued by constant lip syncing allegations which created a dark cloud over the promo and killed the song off. So for her next single she has to bring her A game like she did when she performed "Infinity/VOL" and promote the song heavily with interviews and live performances and a big radio deal and great music video like TMB, WBT, It's lLke That etc.

I remember the song and video taking a lot of criticism. I still love both, to this day. I agree with you, too B on the #Beautiful remix with Jeezy. I find it really hard to narrow stuff down lol.

Article: Mariah's "You're Mine" debuts on R&B, Hot 100 charts (59,891) by B from USA
You're Mine (Eternal) is a R&B song and it peaked at #12 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Songs chart and #15 on the Hot R&B Songs chart. It wasn't and isn't a flop.

Re: Not a good look (59,889) (59,890) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
If Billboard released an official prediction for "Work" going to #1, then there is a very good chance that it will go to #1. They obviously use statistics to make an estimate. It doesn't matter what Rihanna used to get the #1, at the end of the day, she may end up getting it. Mariah also has opportunity to get a #1 in any way she wants, but if she chooses not to take advantage of those, well it's on her really.

Re: Not a good look (59,884) (59,889) by B from USA
I don't think Work will top the Hot 100. The only thing Work has going for it is Drake. Rhianna isn't in the same league as Mariah. She's the poor man's Beyoncé. She cannot sing.

Not a good look (59,887) by Ian from United Kingdom
I don't think we can say Rihanna is getting number one singles because Chris Brown beat her up years ago and people feel sorry for her. She is current, appeals to kids, teens and young adults and has a great image with videos to match and unfortunately Mariah has none of these qualities anymore. I am sure teenagers see Mariah as too old for them, the styling has been so over the top and old fashioned for years and it doesn't matter how many rappers she employs on every track, she needs some current radio friendly tracks with videos people will want to view more than once. We all know she is more than capable and unfortunately Mariah is at this stage in her career has to work a lot harder than Rihanna, Taylor or Beyonce to be taken seriously.

Re: Not a good look (59,884) (59,886) by Luke from United Kingdom
I wouldn't be worried yet. They way Mariah and L.A Reid were talking about her #1's and not overtaking The Beatles last year made me think they had a plan in motion. I could be wrong but she's obviously not finished yet because she's making music, and knowing Mariah I think getting passed The Beatles may just be one of her final goals musically. It won't be easy but TEOM wouldn't have been easy either when everyone was writing her off. When she's in a good place her music touches people and when it does people buy it. Even people who bitch about her.
