To Edward (50,328) by Orkun from The Netherlands
Edward, I just finished counting. In your messages, you said "booty" eleven times. If you say it 2 more times, you'll tie Rihanna. Just being silly.

Re: new booty / (50,314) by Edward (50,327) by Dove from USA
Edward, you're funny. As I was reading your comment I could picture cartoon Mariah bouncing up the charts on her new basketball booty.

Honey as a torch song (50,326) by Warrior Butterfly from USA
Someone here made a list of torch songs. I was thinking what if Mariah converted "Honey" in to a torch song, slowed it down and gave it some depth, that would be cool. Kind of like when Molly Ringwald jazzed up "Don't You (Forget About Me)".

Ardis / imperfections (50,325) by Edward from USA
Ardis, you would be surprised at the many doors a booty could open for an artist these days. I agree with you about the rest though. When Destiny's Daughters released "Bootylicious", their popularity went up by 60%. 20% of that was due to the exposure of the booty on its respective video.

Deedre and TheVoice / the booty (50,324) by Edward from USA
Don't you guys agree that a bigger booty would expose Mariah to a wider audience? To see it, you'd have to visualize it, and see the booty for what it is, on its own merits. Then mentally attach it to Mariah, and you'll see what I'm talking about. When she got her new boobs her popularity went up by 20%. Can you imagine what a new booty could do? Deep song titles with meaningful lyrics like "The Power of the Booty", "Touch My Booty" or "Booty Up" would now come alive. The possibilities would be endless. It would really be interesting to see Aretha sing any of those songs with the word "Booty" in the title, just like she sung "Touch My Body" before. I swear this is my last post addressing the booty.

Bigger booty? (50,323) by Ardis Logic from Earth
Not sure this story is true or not. I would encourage MC to learn to love herself as she is, instead of trying to alter her body. Exercise is great. There is nothing hotter that a body that is toned, inshape, and healthy. Too many people these days are so eager to change their own natural beauty. They dye their hair, wear push up bras and padded underware, shave their eye brows off to paint them on, plastic surgery, high heels, and colored contacts. Mostly because of what we see on tv and movies. Everyone is beautiful in their own special ways. If you can learn to love yourself naturally as you are you will win in more ways than one.

Marissa, thank you for the "Hide YouTube Comments" app tip. RJJ12 and Mara, I'll go harder on Sunday but I'll try to pray a little every day.

Instead (50,321) by B from USA
Instead of getting butt implants Mariah should get a breast reduction. Her boobs make her look top heavy. She should go back to how she looked during the Butterfly era.

It's just like honey (50,319) by enwar00 from usa

I've been sick for a week and a half with a lingering cold, finally feeling well enough to go out tonight, and after dinner now I'm at my favorite martini bar, where one drink gets you buzzed, and they're playing this. It's a good night and I needed it. I need it need it need it. I just thought I'd share with the MCA lambily. Cheers to the freaking weekend.

Shelly / Mara (50,317) by 123 from USA
Shelly, that prayer you posted is awesome. It covers everything. I need to get a copy of that prayer book. We can pray for her on Sunday. You know what they say, as long as there are two or three gathered in his name he is there. Mara, thank you for your kind words. I also enjoy your posts and point of view. It is great to see fans get together for something positive.

The Jazz/Torch Chanteuse setlist (50,316) by Benjamin Fisher from United States
This would probably never happen, but I do hold out hope that Mariah will channel her inner Billie Holiday and (1) record an album of jazz/torch songs and/or (2) do some one-off jazz shows. It would be really easy to re-arrange some of the following songs that may not have "jazz" studio recordings. Songs with an asterisk would, of course, be covers of standards.
1. The Wind
2. Don't Explain *
3. Lullaby of Birdland *
4. Lillie's Blues (Turn You Loose)
5. Twister
6. Petals
7. Looking In
8. Subtle Invitation
9. I Wish You Well
10. Languishing
11. Cry.
12. Camouflage
13. The Roof
14. Rainbow (Interlude)
15. Sunflowers for Alfred Roy
16. Right to Dream
17. Mood Indigo *
18. Babydoll
19. Outside

Duets and #1's album in one go (50,315) by JCS from United States
People are saying she should re-record her #1 hits while some people are saying she should do a duets album. Well, why not hit two birds with one stone? Mariah should re-record her number 1 hits as duets with some of the biggest names in music with new arrangements. She should do it with Beyonce, Rihanna, Usher, Ryan Tedder, Michael Buble, Sam Smith, etc.

New booty / new #1's (50,314) by Edward from USA
I think that when Mariah gets her new booty she'll bounce back easily. She only has to do it gradually though. I hope she'd learned her lesson by trying to make people think that her then new acquired boobs were the result of push-up bras, until her boobs came out of the closet while giving her acceptance speech on behalf of Lee Daniels. I think a new booty, not as big as Beyoncé's, would help her achieve a few more #1's. If Cher could score a #1 at 52 with her new face, why can't Mariah with her new booty. I just hope she doesn't go for a donkey booty like Nicki Minaj or Kim Kardashian, but rather a round, fluffy, and natural looking one. Some would think that it is a stupid idea, but one mustn't underestimate the power of a new booty when is carried with grace and class. After all Mariah coined the term bootylicious before Destiny's child used it in a song.

New sound (50,313) by George Golden from UK
I wish Mariah would do a duet with Beyonce for her new number ones album. With Beyonces fan base and her own fans eating the song up, it will definately be a hit. Lets face it at this point she needs a monster hit. She needs a big uptempo track. Mariah should do something different now while she still has the chance. The reason she has not had a hit in years is because she has refused to move on from the style of music she has been producing. That's just it, it's not rocket science. Her best tracks for the past five years have been "Triumphant Pulse Remix", "Almost Home" and "#Beautiful". That is a sign for her to switch to more uptempo numbers.

#1's, Las Vegas, and Epic (50,312) by B from USA
I'm looking forward to the reissue of #1's. I'm also looking forward to attending her residency in Las Vegas. I'm excited about Mariah joining Epic and working with LA Reid again. E3 or MC3. LA Reid needs to advice her to work with new producers like Happy Perez, Bruno Mars and The Smeezingtons, Mark Ronson, and Calvin Harris. Times have changed if Mariah wants to remain relevant she needs to work with relevant producers and writers.

A recommendation (50,311) by Marissa from USA
For those of you who are sick of the mean spirited comments and chronic Ariana Grande comparisons towards Mariah on YouTube, there is an extension called "Hide YouTube Comments" if you use Chrome as your browser. My life is refreshed by being free from sexists, racists, trolls, etc. Now I can watch her videos and enjoy the artistry without the ignorance of low-lives. (I did not create the extension so this is not shameless self promotion in case you were wondering lol.)

She's only 45 (50,309) by MC1989 from Spain
Someone said that it looked impossible for Mariah to achieve a new number 1 because she's 45. Remember Cher's worldwide hit "Believe" from 1998? Cher was 52. She became the oldest woman to perform that feat. Tina Turner, after years of success with Ike, and more than two decades doing music topped the Bilboard chart with "What's Love Got To Do With It" in 1984, at the age of 45. In fact, her career as a solo artist became much more successful after 45. Aretha, Madonna, Barbra, etc. topped the charts after their 40's.

I apologize (50,308) by MC1989 from Spain
Sorry for misunderstanding you. I wrote my post again so that the fans here can read it propperly. Today I listened to "Can't Let Go" and I realised how great that song is, and how it deserved to be a number one. It's a pity that Mariah doesn't sing it nowadays, doing an unplugged version, or with a lower tone. I was thinking that it's a pity that "Without You" didn't go to number one in the US because it's one of her biggest hits around the world. Songs like "Can't Let Go" (#2), "Make It Happen" (#5), "Endless Love" (#2), "Without You" (#3), "Loverboy" (#2), "I Know What You Want" (#3), or "Shake It Off" (#2) should have been number one. Also, I think it was a pity that she only released " There's Got To Be A Way" in Europe, without any promotion (she didn't even sing it anywhere), and I believe it's one of Mariah's most powerful and difficult songs to sing. It really shows Mariah's awesome and angelical voice.

Deniece Williams (50,307) by Lee TS from USA
It's so cute to see Mariah fangirl over someone, the tweet she sent to to Deniece, "It's an honor to talk to you, you'll always be a huge inspiration to me. Let's get together soon. I'll dm you." Mariah direct messaging? How thirsty. Lol, kidding.

Purpose of message (50,305) by Ryan from USA
Why approve the message from MC1989 if we have no idea what song they are talking about. I rather it not be posted at all. Pointless. [Webmaster: My rules are simple, but it seems al lot of people have troubles with this rule: "Try to write understandable English, with the proper use of dots and capitals." For example, if you're talking about a song, please say There's Got To Be A Way or "There's got to be a way". If you don't use capitals for the title of the song, or if you don't put quotes around it, we have no idea you're talking about a song.]

Mariah (50,303) by B from USA
Mariah needs to use the media training she received during her early days at Sony under those brilliant execs that guided her to glory from the start. You know how to play this game and how to lip sync. Stop the self sabotage. I love you. I'm your biggest fan. Your music is the soundtrack to my life and I'm coming to see you in Vegas. You know she's a member on this board or someone on her team is.

Mariah Carey (50,302) by B from USA
Mariah Carey's music is better than Beyoncé's and Lady GaGa's and Ariana Grande's. She has the best voice even in its current shape/condition. She's a living legend, these missteps are not going to tarnish her legacy. She's human. Her husband cheated on her. Emotions affect the voice. Show some respect.
