Hey there. Haha don't worry, you are not the only one. There were many a times when I wrote something and pressed submit and then I was like oh no, should I have written that? But I am glad you understood my point, infact you got it exactly right because I was thinking about MJ when I wrote that post and that's why I included the part about the posthumous album. I hate that they keep milking his name every chance they get and knowing the perfectionist that MJ was, it bothers me more. I am a huge MJ fan and like MC, I somehow feel really connected to MJ so it bothers me when I think something is unfair in their cases. I don't know much about Whitney but she was a legend and I am sure not much different from MC and MJ when it came to her artistry so I would assume she wouldn't appreciate it. As for your other suggestion about her bringing back some of her iconic moments, I would love that. Due to time constraints it might not be possible to do all her looks, infact it's quite impossible. So she can break down her eras into 4 parts and choose 1 hair for each part. Shelly had a wonderful post about the breakdown of the styles in one post. It was really good.

Why are you so obsessed with the illuminati?! (51,059) by Otti from Belgium
There's is this video talking about Mariah and illuminati. I only saw the second part, that was about Mariah. They said that the videoclip of "Honey" contains messages of illuminati, like jumping in the pool (washing away the past), showing her sexy body (forever youth), ending up with a boyfriend on the beach (forever love). And they also bring the "Obsessed" video up, the idea of the rapper in the video is also a sign of illuminati, like fame and fortune. We fans know (thank God) that the videoclip of "Honey" is loosely based on the movie "James Bond". And the videoclip of "Obsessed" contains elements from the movie "Mean girls". From the first line "Why are you so obsessed with me?" to the tragic bus accident ar the end of the video. Please stop the nonsense.

Vegas / Mimi.L (51,058) by Luke from United Kingdom
You're right, I didn't really consider about how a hologram would be recieved. I guess I just love Whitney almost as much as Mariah and I love "When You Believe" even though it's a bit cheesy. I did feel a little insensitive for Bobbi after posting that but unfortunatley you can't go back on here. A lesson for me to think before I post? Haha. I know where you're coming from about the holograms, I do actually remember watching MJ's hologram and feeling a bit uncomfortable. I definitely agree she should revisit her old styles though. It would be such a great flash back. My favourite era fashion-wise is the Charmbracelet, her hair was stunning back then as well.

Vegas (51,055) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I would love for Mariah to incorporate some of her iconic looks into the Vegas show. Since Mariah's hair changes with almost every era, she could have wigs for a couple of eras and bring on some of the iconic costumes. Anyways, that's just a thought. I however do not like the idea of having a Whitney hologram for a "Mariah Carey #1's" concert. It can go wrong in many way. 1) With Whitney passing away just recently and Bobbi Kristina's latest tragedy, MC might be slammed for using Whitney's likeness and people might take it in the wrong way thinking MC is using Whitney to create buzz. 2) It is a show about her #1's and I am sure she already has a huge set list. If she really picks songs apart from her #1's, I'd rather have her pick some fan favorites and as much as WYB is great, there are other tracks fans love more. 3) Whitney's likeness should only be used when the concert is a tribute to Whitney, this is Mariah's 25 years being celebrated. There are so many other reasons, so no, just no to the hologram please. 4) I never liked the idea of using dead artist's holograms. I don't know, it's just corny and a little cheap. The artist is not alive to have a say regarding this and so it's unfair to them. Same with posthumus albums. If the artist didn't feel like the songs were not ready to be released or perhaps not up to the mark in their POV, then it shouldn't be released. Just saying. That's my opinion.

New cover idea (51,054) by Warren from Trinidad & Tobago
As MC loves doing a religious song (which in today's world probably doesn't resonate with many people) I think she should do Hallelujah. The chord progression and style of the song seems like the most perfect thing for her and right up her alley (singing style-wise). Also, it's it a very popular song that people won't have to Google or Youtube (like most of us had to do for Heavenly) in order to know the song before it is heard. That way buzz can be generated about it. Enough with the 80's covers for now. Just an idea.

Vegas (51,053) by Luke from United Kingdom
This has probably been brought up but I was just thinking how amazing it would be if Mariah incorporated elements of her past tours/concerts set design over the years into the Vegas shows. As well as, her costumes and dresses of different eras. I also think it would be amazing if she had a Whitney Houston hologram to perform "When You Believe" with her.

Eric the webmaster (51,052) by Terna from Nigeria
No offence Eric but did you really read and get my meaning well, before you tried to embarass me and instead ended up embarassing yourself? You do realize I quoted "Can't take that away" (Mariah's Theme) and not "Hero" right? You of all people should know that. When she says youth she was refferring to her first album "Mariah Carey", she was just 20 when she released that album. Isn't 20-something considered to be one's youth or prime? I would love to believe Mariah's songs are deep, mostly about her life experiences and come from a place of substance, not just shallow songs. But oh well to each his own.

Christmas album (51,051) by May from Denmark
I find it almost odd that there is already a talk for another Christmas album when we just not long ago had Christmas haha. I like her idea of doing live duets to promote her last album but I dislike the people she choose to sing with. Justin Bieber was a horrible choice mostly because his voice was going under a change, so it was terrible timing. And Michael Buble was just awful, the live performance he sang with her was weak. If she is going to do another Christmas duet it has to be with someone really good and not just go for the popular, or if it's popular at least who can keep up with Mariah, Buble voice felt sounded so inferior. I liked a lot that her mom was part of the process and sang together, was a beautiful moment to enjoy, I always wondered when she was going to sing a song with her daughter. If she goes for a new Christmas album and why not, Mariah is Christmas Queen, she should do something very cheerful with new songs and not go for classics like in her last one.

Illuminati (51,050) by THE TRUTH from USA
BTW Nicci it's the lady in black wearing the Eye of Horus ring, and suspicious amulets not MC. I think the level of ridicule about this is sad and very telling, especially given past events in the music industry. Speaking of the eye of Horus it is featured on your dollar bill and Jay Z, Beyonce, and a slew of powerful celebrities are adorned with it regularly. Recognize.

Enwar (51,049) by Lee TS from USA
Yeah, I've seen that interview with Howard before and also the phoner. I've probably seen most of Mariah's videos to be honest haha. That video of her with Howard was cute and I liked how he was just messing with her, she handled it well. In that particular interview it was more of like a TV moment where it's just silly. I would love if Mariah goes to his studio at like 8 in the morning and have a sit down interview with Howard and Robin for over an hour. I imagine he'll ask things about her childhood, being interracial, big break, success, Tommy, Glitter, Nick, and her songwriting process. I don't know just a hopeful thought.

Third Christmas album (51,048) by NHYTG from nyc
I don't think the release of another Christmas album is a good idea, but if Mariah and Epic would decide to release one I will support it anyway. On the other hand I think they are busy with Vegas and the new #1's so I think this is a false rumour anyway.

Re: Illuminati, food for thought (51,046) by Webmaster Eric from the Netherlands
Just when you think things can't get more ridiculous, Terna comes along. I always thought Hero was about anyone who feels depressed, I never imagined she was singing about the illuminati. And with the quote "they have greatly oppressed me from my youth", he implies that the illuminati already knew Mariah would be a great singer when she was very young and tried to oppress her (for what reason?). And his last quote, "they can say anything they want to say, try to bring me down", is nonsense. The illuminati is supposed to be a secret organisation, so who knows what they are saying? I suggest to lay this topic to rest, before the illuminati-fans embarrass themselves even more.

She's been interviewed by Howard Stern if you haven't seen it. Or did you mean she should again. I've also heard a phone one from when Around The World was airing.

Illuminati, food for thought (51,044) by Terna from Nigeria
You know these lyrics all too well guys. "This goes out to you and you. And you, you know who you are." "They can say anything they want to say, try to bring me down." "And they can't bring me to my knees." And the Bible verse from IWYW: "They have greatly oppressed me from my youth, but they have not gained victory over me." Who do you think Mariah is talking about or referring to? I see some of us are just more sensitive and observant than the others. Smh.

One more thing about interviews (51,043) by Lee TS from USA
This probably would never happen but I would die if Mariah goes on Howard Stern's show. To me he's one of the best celebrity interviewers and he gets his guest to open up and talk. He made Gwyneth Paltrow likeable and Madonna recently paid him a visit. But knowing M being kind of protective I doubt she'll ever do it.

Interviews / Wendy (51,042) by Lee TS from USA
I also liked her interviews with Molly Meldrum, Donnie Simpson, and that one English guy she always flirted with - I think his name was Jack or something. I actually would love to see M go on Wendy's show just because it would be fun and entertaining. I know Wendy makes fun of M a lot but I also think she's rooting for her, always saying she wants to see M feeling juicy and dating again. Wendy has calmed down a bit with the ticky ticky boom boom when it comes to M, she now calls her fragile which is still shady. Some other celebs get it worse, whenever Wendy brings up Britney it's always ticky ticky boom boom and Kanye is a madman. My favorite Wendy shade would be when she said we wouldn't catch Mariah driving in a Fiat.

Another Christmas album? (51,041) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
There is a rumor circulating that Epic wants Mariah to record another Christmas record after the release of #1's but it also says that Mariah has not agreed to it yet. I hope that MC doesn't plan on another Christmas album. She already has 2. Three holiday albums is a bit too much. Plus if Mariah really wants to record another album this year, it should be a comeback commercial album. After the unfortunate failure of Memoirs and MIAM, MC needs to shake off the bad streak and plan an album that will put her back to where she belongs - the top. Now isn't the time for a Christmas album and she just released one 4 years back. Anyways it's just a rumor so nothing serious I guess.

Wendy (51,040) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
This woman is so full of crap, spewing hate in the name of entertainment. She just hates Mariah because MC probably declined coming to her show. I used to think that MC should go Wendy because in the episodes I watched a few years back, she used to always praise Mariah. But now I am glad Mariah doesn't pay her any attention. Wendy has many a times bad mouthed about people and then changed tunes while they are on the show and then go back to bad mouthing after a while. She used to always make fun of JLo but now all of a sudden JLo is her favourite and every Mariah topic is compared with JLo. She keeps saying MC is "ticky ticky boom" in the head and what not, well Wendy what have you achieved so far? She keeps going on about how trashy the Kardashians are, when they're not collectively as trashy as her. She is so obsessed with MC that she even made up the story that she declined MC as a guest because she wanted to sit on the side Wendy sits. As if she would risk say no to the woman she keeps talking about almost every other episode. Two words to Wendy: "Bye Felicia".

Mariah's morrocan jewlery (51,039) by nikki from usa
The "eye of Horus" is originally the "eye of Widget" the creator goddess of Egyptian folklore. The "eye" has to do with anatomy. Slice open the human brain and the stem looks like an eye with the pineal gland being the pupil. The pineal gland is said to be the source of all intuitive and psychic energy. Long story short, in cultures of the Middle East, South American, and *Morrocco* this jewlery charm is called the "evil eye" and is used as a reflector for negative energy. If anyone is giving you negative vibes or wishing ill will of you they are giving you "the evil eye". So, by wearing it, the negative energy is reflected back to the person or entity causing the negativity. This ring looks Moroccan in nature. Considering Mariah's love of the culture and the fact she was there a couple years ago, I'd say there's a good chance that's where she got it.

Favourite interviewers, so far (51,038) by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End
1. Charlie Rose
2. Lost Rainbow interviewer
3. Tabitha Soren
4. John Norris
5. Barbara Walters
Things narrow list is why Mariah needs to make a documentary. There reapply aren't that many great portrait pieces of her out there. She needs to present the sum of all her parts every once in a while, with no interruptions, or else anyone can keep picking and choosing what they want to label her as. She can't control the editing of mass media but she can make it more difficult for them. I love what she is doing by taking control of her career and maintaining radio silence on negative stories. I'm just saying, when she finally does do interviews and press to make it count this time around. No vanilla sit down with Oprah or some hot vlogger who knows shit about her music. Pick people who do their homework well, have a genuine passion for music and actually practice true journalism. There are probably fans who could do a better job interviewing Mariah than most of these so called reporters who can't even bother to fact check song titles before they rush to print a story. I'm volunteering right now. Also, I wanna know who you guys think I might have missed or forgotten about that has interviewed Mariah as well as any of the five above listed.

Jupiter is alligning with Uranos which made my cat sneaze the wrong way and give me the middle finger and because of that birds are now following me and telling me that Mariah named an album "The memoirs of an imperfect angel" because she is trying to tell us that she is not actually human but she can't be honest about it because if she does she'll be kidnapped by the USA governement and forced to tell us all where Elvis has been hiding all this time. A bunch of dead singers are actually not dead but composing new music including "We are the (underground) world". It's all fun and games until Cleopatra kills us all with the invaders from Mars.

Interesting when a non mainstream opinion elicits so much hateful response (51,034) by THE TRUTH from USA
I always tell my students to watch, listen, and learn. Not to pay attention to the bullies with the loud angry voices but rather to be wary of the little guys lurking around the corner. Loud angry voices are a sign of fear and ignorance. I'd encourage them to research anything carefully before voicing an opinion on it. Clearly there is no shortage of people here with loud angry voices but there is an abundance of misinformation devoid of any research at all. The only thing worse than being wrong is being loud and wrong.
