Lee TS (51,082) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Thank you for sharing the video. It's one of her best interviews. I really enjoyed it. I haven't watched this before. She looks so humble and sweet. Falling in love all over again.

1999 Interview (51,080) by Jono from USA
I'm not sure if this has been posted, but this was just uploaded about a week ago and I think this is one of her best interviews. She has so much more insight than what the general public gives her credit for.

Mariah's birthday or anniversary (51,079) by Ardis Logic from Earth
I hope MC can have some fun on her birthday/anniversary that will be here next week. I always remember her birthday because I was supposed to be born on March 27th also, but I was so anxious to come into this crazy ass world that I was born a day earlier. Anyways, I know she always plans something "festive". She deserves to just relax and have a blast.

Intimate portrait Charmbracelet era (51,078) by Lee TS from USA
I love these E True Hollywood/Behind The Music type of specials. I've never seen this one but it's pretty cool. There are 5 parts so check it out.

Thirsty the troll (51,077) by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End
He's focusing on being the best douchebag he can possibly be. That's what he's good at. Who the hell does he think he's fooling? Everybody knows Mariah put him on blast in Tokyo with "I know you cheated motherfucker". He's such a pretender. I mean, the ease with which he will misrepresent his real personality is beyond disturbing. Also, Farnsworth Bentley called, he wants his damn wardrobe back.

Thinking out loud Ed, Sam and Mariah in the lonely hour (51,076) by Edward from USA
Two soulful artist who put out great albums in 2014 that keep going strong in 2015 are Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith. I do think that Sam Smith has the more powerful voice, but Ed's lyrics and soul are refreshing. Both of them remind me of 90's Mariah. Why is that? Well, besides the great music and production, both Sam's "In The Lonely Hour" and Ed's "X (pronounce as Multiple) albums can be listened from beginning to end without skipping a track and the songs are introspective and soulful. That's a feast that not many artist could accomplish, but 90's Mariah was always on point when it came to that. Mariah Carey, Daydream, Butterfly, Music Box, Merry Christmas could be listened to from beginning to end without skipping any tracks. Toni Braxton's first album was also like that. Sam and Ed, just like Mariah, have albums with a theme as if they were telling a story. It is refreshing to see young artists making unforgettable music. Should Mariah decide to collaborate with any of them, it would definitely be something different, and they would help Mariah get the initial momentum to keep slaying with subsequent singles. I'm happy to have discovered both their albums. Ed and Sam are not about cute faces that will eventually fade in time, but about great music that might transcend generations.

New #1s CD / Vegas (51,075) by Ethan from United States
I'm looking forward to the new music. I have an idea and I'm not sure it's in the works yet. Several articles mentioned that there will be 4 new tracks (possible duets of classics and new songs). Since Fifth Harmony is also on the label, I'm wondering if there's been a discussion of featuring them on one or two remakes of Mariah's classics like Always Be My Baby and Anytime You Need A Friend (Fifth Harmony sang this on the X-Factor). They both seem like amicable to each other and I think this is a good idea for Mariah to get a new wave of younger listeners/audience. For Vegas, I've mentioned this before about having a hologram of Whitney to duet with her for When You Believe. Someone recently brought up again on this forum and I think it's a great idea but it might be too much or too soon. If it can happen, I don't mind using the same idea for Endless Love with Luther.

Island years / Sony (51,074) by Billy from Greece
While some fans believe that even the imprint of the Sony logo on a Mariah cd would erase all "bad" memories or imply a magical restoration to the good old 1990s, among the many things that can be said about the divisive Island years, I have to acknowledge that if there was ever a problem (since "Charmbracelet") that would be the single choices, not the material. Old story, but re-checking out posters of "Charmbracelet" now and even the stickers on the album, there was no clear direction as far as the second single was concerned. Apparently, sticking to "one" plan never really worked (except for the "Mimi" album). Similarly, with "E=MC2" and "Memoirs" not choosing for singles songs that charted on the Hot 100 for crying out loud (not on a subsidiary chart) with no promotion at all seem now like career-making or breaking choices. Although I want to avoid the "shoulda coulda woulda" kind of posts, and I may sound like I'm rehashing topics that have been exhausted to death, I'm saying all this to point out that, despite the record industry politics that went on, the material recorded while Mariah was on Island is really of high quality. A record company alone, or chart success, does not entail great music per se, which many people seem to forget. Finally, to all the fans that complained about wanting "classic" Mariah during the Island years and not getting it, I'm still amazed at how "The Elusive Chanteuse" failed to satisfy them. That album is the epitome of classic Mariah.

Nick (51,073) by Pablo from Spain
If Nick is talking about Mariah, I understand and agree with posting of the articles. If he's just spouting about his mouth and no Mariah mention, I'd rather not know anything about this jerk. Looking forward to the new tracks on the new Ones and hoping for an Epic future for Mariah on the label.

NCA (51,072) by THE TRUTH from USA
Ardis has a great point. Nick already trashed her career and climbed her back to build his celebrity, why help him in any way? Banish his lame ass from MCA.

Nick Cannon Archives (51,071) by Jon from Netherlands
I think it's great to post about him. Understanding the marriage and divorce is key to understanding Mariah. Anyway she isn't really out there right now so this is the only info we can get.

Honey video (original and remix) (51,069) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia
I do agree that Honey video is the epitome or blueprint for all music video of female singers in the land. I was 16 years old when the video came out and I still remember talking to myself how beautiful Mariah was in the video. She was so perfect looking especially in the remix video where she parted all her hair to left covering her left eye. She even performed this live with the same hairstyle and look at Top Of The Pops in 1997 wearing the white ensemble. Perfect.

The Roof (51,068) by Darryle from USA
Today's the 17th anniversary of The Roof. I never really listened to The Roof until today. I always let it play but never payed attention to it. Now I recognize it's a masterpiece and is one of Mariah's best songs. The sample makes for the perfect combination of hip hop and R&B. Mariah croons over the beat not doing any vocal tricks until the last part which makes the background vocals stand out. It's like Mariah went into the studio built a wall of vocals layering on top of layering. Then there are the lyrics. Lyrically the song is phenomenal. What song do you know that can rhyme moet with liberated? It's a shame the song is so underrated. I guess it will just remain another one of the hidden gems in Mariah's catalog.

Nick Cannon Archives? (51,067) by Ardis Logic from Earth
Do we have to post news about Mariah's ex? So annoying. I have no interest in him. He is just pathetically using this whole thing to get more attention. Otherwise I don't think anyone really give a crap what he does or thinks.

Honey (51,066) by Jon from Netherlands
One of the best things ever, one of the best songs ever, one of the best videos ever is now on Vevo. Honey Bad Boy remix. Could Mariah be more beautiful? No. Could the video be beter? No. Could a pop/hip hop collab be better? No.

Mimi.L (51,065) by Luke from United Kingdom
Yeah it does seem they're just trying to milk it while they can. Using thier name to bring in more money. I didn't mind Whitney's recent album because that was just live performances which was nice, but unreleased songs I don't think should be let out unless they said so before they died. I don't think I saw Shelly's post on that, I did think it had been brought up before because Mariah is amazing at reinventing herself over the years. So for her to revisit those styles would be wonderful.

Mariah Carey (undubbed) MTV Unplugged 1992 (51,064) by Nilah from U.S.A
I was listening to some undubbed Mariah Carey songs from her Unplugged concert when I came across a link that had the entire set plus extras such as first and second takes, stage banter, and ambience. Thought I might post it on here, because I thought you guys would be interested. Love you much. Here you go.

Stuff (51,063) by Stacey from USA
In the top 10 of posters here? Hmmm, I didn't think I've been posting that much lately. Maybe I did early on. Anyway, best of wishes to you Shelly. Come back anytime. Illuminati? Really? That's the best topic we can come up with here? I'll leave it at that. I'm excited to see what MC has planned with the Vegas shows and coinciding album. I read a news article that said a new Christmas album is false. Of course on any album release, you have to include AIWFCIY.

Almost Home (Dapo Torimiro version) (51,062) by Dani from USA
Did anyone know there was an alternate version of "Almost Home"? I prefer it to the one officially released by Disney, actually. I just saw a video on Vimeo (titled "Mariah Carey - Almost Home (Dapo Torimiro Version)"), and it's done beautifully. I think it could be fan-made, to be honest. They interpose her image into scenes of the film, and it seems a lot smoother than the cut and paste job they did with the official music video. Thought it was something worth sharing.

Luke (51,060) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Hey there. Haha don't worry, you are not the only one. There were many a times when I wrote something and pressed submit and then I was like oh no, should I have written that? But I am glad you understood my point, infact you got it exactly right because I was thinking about MJ when I wrote that post and that's why I included the part about the posthumous album. I hate that they keep milking his name every chance they get and knowing the perfectionist that MJ was, it bothers me more. I am a huge MJ fan and like MC, I somehow feel really connected to MJ so it bothers me when I think something is unfair in their cases. I don't know much about Whitney but she was a legend and I am sure not much different from MC and MJ when it came to her artistry so I would assume she wouldn't appreciate it. As for your other suggestion about her bringing back some of her iconic moments, I would love that. Due to time constraints it might not be possible to do all her looks, infact it's quite impossible. So she can break down her eras into 4 parts and choose 1 hair for each part. Shelly had a wonderful post about the breakdown of the styles in one post. It was really good.

Why are you so obsessed with the illuminati?! (51,059) by Otti from Belgium
There's is this video talking about Mariah and illuminati. I only saw the second part, that was about Mariah. They said that the videoclip of "Honey" contains messages of illuminati, like jumping in the pool (washing away the past), showing her sexy body (forever youth), ending up with a boyfriend on the beach (forever love). And they also bring the "Obsessed" video up, the idea of the rapper in the video is also a sign of illuminati, like fame and fortune. We fans know (thank God) that the videoclip of "Honey" is loosely based on the movie "James Bond". And the videoclip of "Obsessed" contains elements from the movie "Mean girls". From the first line "Why are you so obsessed with me?" to the tragic bus accident ar the end of the video. Please stop the nonsense.

Vegas / Mimi.L (51,058) by Luke from United Kingdom
You're right, I didn't really consider about how a hologram would be recieved. I guess I just love Whitney almost as much as Mariah and I love "When You Believe" even though it's a bit cheesy. I did feel a little insensitive for Bobbi after posting that but unfortunatley you can't go back on here. A lesson for me to think before I post? Haha. I know where you're coming from about the holograms, I do actually remember watching MJ's hologram and feeling a bit uncomfortable. I definitely agree she should revisit her old styles though. It would be such a great flash back. My favourite era fashion-wise is the Charmbracelet, her hair was stunning back then as well.

Vegas (51,055) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I would love for Mariah to incorporate some of her iconic looks into the Vegas show. Since Mariah's hair changes with almost every era, she could have wigs for a couple of eras and bring on some of the iconic costumes. Anyways, that's just a thought. I however do not like the idea of having a Whitney hologram for a "Mariah Carey #1's" concert. It can go wrong in many way. 1) With Whitney passing away just recently and Bobbi Kristina's latest tragedy, MC might be slammed for using Whitney's likeness and people might take it in the wrong way thinking MC is using Whitney to create buzz. 2) It is a show about her #1's and I am sure she already has a huge set list. If she really picks songs apart from her #1's, I'd rather have her pick some fan favorites and as much as WYB is great, there are other tracks fans love more. 3) Whitney's likeness should only be used when the concert is a tribute to Whitney, this is Mariah's 25 years being celebrated. There are so many other reasons, so no, just no to the hologram please. 4) I never liked the idea of using dead artist's holograms. I don't know, it's just corny and a little cheap. The artist is not alive to have a say regarding this and so it's unfair to them. Same with posthumus albums. If the artist didn't feel like the songs were not ready to be released or perhaps not up to the mark in their POV, then it shouldn't be released. Just saying. That's my opinion.

New cover idea (51,054) by Warren from Trinidad & Tobago
As MC loves doing a religious song (which in today's world probably doesn't resonate with many people) I think she should do Hallelujah. The chord progression and style of the song seems like the most perfect thing for her and right up her alley (singing style-wise). Also, it's it a very popular song that people won't have to Google or Youtube (like most of us had to do for Heavenly) in order to know the song before it is heard. That way buzz can be generated about it. Enough with the 80's covers for now. Just an idea.

Vegas (51,053) by Luke from United Kingdom
This has probably been brought up but I was just thinking how amazing it would be if Mariah incorporated elements of her past tours/concerts set design over the years into the Vegas shows. As well as, her costumes and dresses of different eras. I also think it would be amazing if she had a Whitney Houston hologram to perform "When You Believe" with her.
