Best/worst album covers and singles (42,218) by Darryle from USA Best album covers 1. Butterfly: She looks amazing and it's simple without being boring. 2. Mariah Carey: She looks so young and pretty. 3. Daydream: I love the black and white. I like how they put her on one side of the cover instead of the center. Worst album covers 1. Glitter: To much happening, the tiny shimmers and city in the background distract from Mariah. 2. Charmbracelet: This ones not bad but smile or frown whatever it is is sorta off putting she's not smiling but not frowning. 3. MOAIA: Her boob shadow is very distracting and I don't get the point of the three Mariah's. Best single covers 1. Dream Lover: I love her hair and the pose with her eyes closed makes it look so natural. 2. Through the rain: I also love her hair in this picture and the vine was a really nice touch because otherwise it would have been boring. 3. Vision of love: That pose is an iconic Mariah pose. Plus I really like the microphone. Worst single covers 1. Triumphant (get 'em): I don't like her hair. In fact I don't really like her hair when it's straight period. Also she looks way too tan and airbrushed. 2. #Beautiful: She looks fine in the picture, I just think it's really lazy to reuse a scene from the video as a cover. 3. Cover art (42,217) by Dani from USA My favorite is the "Butterfly" cover, and my least favorite would have to be the "Charmbracelet" cover. On another note, does anyone know what's become of the song "Mesmerized" that Mariah recorded for the movie The Paperboy? Sometimes I wish Mariah would release little 15 or 30 second teasers of songs she's recording, just to keep us at the edge of our seats. I'm Irish and always wished she'd perform there but she hasn't done a tour yet but I did finally get to see her in Sydney last year and she was brilliant. Happy St Patricks Day everyone. I don't know why you're comparing a fan site to CNN. Are you aware this isn't a Mariah publication, but done by a fan in his own spare time with his own money as a hobby? He doesn't have to have a messageboard or let us have any of this. He can run it however he pleases. And yes, CNN is censored. Extra news tid bits MC (42,208) by nikki from usa I don't know how much truth there is to this, so take it with a grain of salt. A few weeks a go I heard a rumor on radio claiming NBC had such high ratings with Jimmy Fallon that they're making celebrities sign an agreement to only promo on their network and not anyone else's otherwise they'll be banned from their lineup as well as Jimmy's show. That means no GMA or Oprah, etc. If there's any kind of truth to that then maybe that's why MC was told to just finish her album and come back when they have things figured out. Also, it could just be me, but MC does appear to be slimming down a bit. Perhaps she's not just finishing her album and hanging with the kids, maybe she's losing weight before she continues promo. Also, I need to comment on "relatability". Which I think is hogwash, an artist doesn't get hot until their music does. I don't know anyone who can relate to Lady Gaga or Miley swinging naked from a wrecking ball. Public perception is fickle and can change at any time. The only thing I think sucks concerning MC is back in the day she always had "behind the scenes" and "specials" we don't have now. Mariah hasn't had a live tv special since Blueprint. If people got to see how MC is when she's just scewing around or hanging out with her friends and just singing, it would become pretty obvious her "diva act" is just that. Critics are always cruel, but back then we got to see how she really is to counter it and we don't have that today. (Tuesday 18 March 2014; 23:37)

Yes, I agree Mariah's live vocals have been embarrassing to the lambily and yes, I agree that these are some of worst singles/songs she has ever released. (I'm sorry comparatively speaking, YME is the worst lead single she's ever released.) And yes, her interviews have been unfocused. But there have been too many people on here that seem like they want to burn MC at the stake. They are criticizing her drinking, her sanity, her marriage, her management, her font on her albums, her hair, her breasts, her clothes, her choice of interview locations and anything else. Look, I know the situation is bleak but we can't be critical of every little thing and some of these posts are mean. I am holding on to the fact that Mariah has never released a bad album. She like any other person, doesn't seem to realize that her beauty lies in her realness and her true self. Before the [censored] and the [censored] she was naturally gorgeous. If she has a hard time being her age maybe we need to look at how she grew up and just be thankful that she is healthy. I will say as I have said it before I do not miss early nitrites Mariah actually it pisses me off because she burned herself out. Mariah clearly always had low self esteem. I think for someone in her position it is quite something to be as sane as she is but I will always expect more from her because she is stronger than many and if she wants something I don't think anybody dare get in her way. I think she wants the unassuming public to see the side by side comparison to the pics from yesterday with the shamrock tattoo. You can't fool us lambs MC. Stop lying and accept your 44 year old body for what it is today, move on girl. Anyways it's always funny to see her photoshopped album covers and carefully orchestrated social media pics against her candid pics because it's literally like smoke and mirror effects. The point on my comment about the Rainbow cover album (42,201) by Anonymous from Ok. So when I said that in her Rainbow cover album she looks like a Chinese girl, the point of my comment was that she doesn't look like herself because Mariah's eyes are not like that. It wasn't my intention and actually I think that I wasn't disrespectful but you know there are sensitive people, so if anybody feels touched by my opinion sorry but it's what I think. Emotions (love the sepia tone and the fact Mariah, her name, the album title and the track listing are all at angles) 2. Butterfly (eyes closed, just beautiful and captured the mood of the record perfectly) 3. Music Box (her lovely face). Worst album covers: 1. Glitter (hate the pink, shimmer, and not a fan of Mariah's bleached blonde look) 2. Rainbow (I remember being embarrassed for Mariah when I saw this in the record store and surprised at how unashamedly sexy it was) 3. MOAIA (don't get the three Mariah thing, think one of her would have worked better) Single covers: 1. Always be my baby (this is why it is my picture, I squealed when I walked into the record store after school knowing that was the day it came out, and loved the hat, the hair, the gold lettering, everything about it) 2. Vision of love (Mariah and the microphone is somewhat of an iconic image for me) 3. Breakdown by Mariah ft Bone Thugs n Harmony (42,190) by andy from philippines Mariah should do a song as genius as Breakdown from Butterfly album. The lyrics of that song has too much pain and very deep that anyone can relate too. For me that was the best lyrics on Mariah's songwriting career. Also the beat and production is perfectly done. The music video of Breakdown is the prettiest Mariah I've ever seen. So sad that Beakdown didn't chart because of Mariah's conflict with her label. (Tuesday 18 March 2014; 16:00)
