Nick, Nick, Nick (45,633) by Lynn from USA
Lets flip the switch for a moment. How do we know how Mariah treats him? No one really knows what goes on behind closed doors. Does she really respect Nick? She has made some silly comments about him as well. When is the last time she publicly supported one of his many projects? He seems to appear at more of her functions than she at his. How does it make him feel to see his wife come out to support Brett Ratner's movie and not even mention his on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram? How does he feel about her hanging out with Dwayne Johnson at the after party? How does it make him feel when he sees Mariah in the recording studio with low cut shirts and tight dresses on around other male rappers/singers? What about posing in the bathtub or posting pictures of herself in bikinis? How does he feel about her not wearing her ring when he wears his? I love them both, but some people seem to think that Mariah is the only one with feelings in their relationship.

New album or re-release? (45,632) by 123 from USA
So Mariah just posted a pic from the Bahamas just having worked with Big Jim Wright. New music seems to be on the way, but I'm wondering will it be a re-release or a new album. Her hinting towards a tour makes me believe it might be a re-release but her silence towards the current project and single might suggest differently. What does everyone else think?

Next album (45,631) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I don't think we'll need to wait long for the next album to drop. I have a strong feeling she'll release it next year to mark her 25th year in the business. It's a great opportunity and will give her the chance to quickly get people's mind off the disaster (that is Chanteuse) by ensuring the next one becomes a success. Although it seems like it's all over for Chanteuse, I still hope there is something more to come. Atleast the video for YDKWTD.

Nick (45,630) by Darryle from USA
Why are people so quick to put Nick down? Yes he has made mistakes like talking about their sex life which is a no no but other than that there isn't any reason. In the booty video I don't think he chose Nicki Minaj to spite Mariah. He probably just thought "Who has the biggest butt?" It would've been cute had he said Mariah but not true. A brick wall has more booty than Mariah. If it was breast week Mariah would have won hands down but it wasn't. It's not like he's saying I'm going to dump Mariah and go with Nicki. He's just saying she has a big butt at least Mariah's butt is real. As for her career Nick didn't ruin Mariah's. Nick has very little input in her career. He suggested redoing covers for MOAIA and he's directed videos but Mariah if she wanted to could say no I don't want Nick doing this or that. Nick's not forcing his way in if anything she's letting him in.

Touring (45,629) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
A big reason why Madonna still manages to sell 2 million copies of her recent releases worldwide is because of her constant touring. Say what you want about the woman, but it's just admirable how she never tires of performing, especially at her age. She attacks every album promotion with such gusto as if it was her debut all over again. That's why I think it's great that Mariah's going back on the road. It's exactly what she needs to reconnect with her core fanbase, especially since apparently there are only around 60,000 left in the US (maybe even less, as hardcore fans might've bought 3-5 copies each of MIAMTEC). In some ways, touring brings her back to earth. It serves as a humbling experience for her, humanizing her and stripping her off of her larger than life persona. Plus, I've always believed that infrequent singing can be just as detrimental to one's singing ability as vocal exhaustion. As Janet said once, "You gotta keep the chords going." Now I don't know how often Mariah sings in her normal everyday life, especially now with her family around, but I believe it's safe to assume that the last time she really sang for an extended period was her last tour. As long as she rests well and drinks less, she'll be fine. It's a solid plan, she'll get reunited with her fans plus her voice will be all warmed-up for her next album, which I strongly feel will arrive within the next 2 years (fingers crossed).

Nick is thirsty to say the least (45,628) by Daydream327 from USA

Okay, so before some try to attack me for the title, I use to love Nick and respect him greatly as Mariah's husband until just recently. I just started to realize how really immature and "thirsty" he truly is. So I was browsing on YT and came across the video above. (If it's not working type in "Nick Cannon talks Nicki Minaj's bodacious ackside" on Youtube.) And was appalled by what came out of his mouth. Now I know he's said some pretty disrespectful things recently but this one takes the cake. he was asked who had the best butt in Hollywood. Firstly, for him to even answer that question was disrespectful and to say Nicki Minaj at that, it's like a blatant diss to his wife. Smh he acts as if he's a child that can't keep his mouth shut. Entertainment or not he is a disrespectful immature little boy and is not a good look for Mariah. Believe it or not he is apart of the reason why Mariah's career has taken a huge dip. I honestly believe most of the heartbreaking songs on MIAM are indeed about him. She has said Nick does have a different side to him that the world doesn't see. Iv'e also noticed Mariah doesn't even seem interested in him anymore nor has she been wearing her ring, dembabies seem to be what makes her the happiest. This is all a shame because I use to think he was so great for Mariah, but now I see he isn't all what he puts out to be.

Re Mimi lamb (45,627) by Joe from United Kingdom
I was about to post the exact same thing you just posted in regards to the truth's rudeness towards Shelly in regards to the whole house selling situation. I don't see Mariah moving house as something to act so heated over.

I'm probably gonna get crucified for this, but what the hell (45,625) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
Since this can be a touchy topic, I'll tread carefully. Mariah needs younger fans. As we know, they are the most rabid demographic when it comes to buying music. And since she seems to avoid working with other artists that aren't rappers or R&B crooners or even male for that matter, another way for her to broaden her audience is to dabble into other genres - something that's possible without her having to compromise her pop/R&B/hip-hop/urban roots, as proven by Cruise Control, Migrate, and Side Effects, which turned out better than anyone could have expected. I just listened to Ariana's Break Free. She's no Mariah for sure, but she's one of the few current new artists who have talent. The production sounds awfully cheap, but her vocals save it. This made me realize that regardless of genre or production quality, a great voice will always shine through. Always. EDM almost always gets immediate disapproval on this board. As someone who appreciates it as well as everything under dance music, I don't think it will hurt Mariah if she does a dance track. She's done it successfully numerous times before in remixes and a couple of it can spice up her future albums. It's not selling out because she doesn't actually hate dance music, she just doesn't like too much of it. And she's not following any trends because other than dubstep, EDM hasn't been a trend for almost 2 years now. Plus, knowing her, she always puts her own stamp on her more experimental tracks, as most recently proven by the Triumphant remixes. The beauty of electronica is that it has a lot of sub-genres: trance, synth-pop, house, euro-disco, hi-NRG, etc. for her to choose from. She'll it off well if the following conditions are met: 1) None of the generic uninspired stuff in-demand producers like Guetta lazily cobble together now that they’re famous. Dance music suits Mariah’s voice very well, so she should go to less known producers who haven’t run out of tricks yet. 2) She must go for timeless rather than hip. This can be done by adding retro or world sounds. Anything on Madonna’s Ray Of Light or Confessions album still sound great today. Mimi’s brilliant mash-up of My All and Stay Awhile sounds dated but simultaneously still fresh. 3) She must just let herself go with the vocals. Mariah’s signature climactic runs towards the end always sound great against a hard-hitting beat. Now the biggest reason behind me choosing dance music for her to work with is because I miss straight-up dance/club Mariah (and I know I’m not alone in this). And if she doesn’t feel like doing this right now, then I’m hoping for her to toy with other genres such as rock, country, reggae, or even better bossa nova or jazz. She’s done most of these before already but I’m always game for another installment.

"One More Try" (45,624) by Billy from Greece
I'm not one of those people that will milk a song's lyrics to draw strict (or random) conclusions about who Mariah may have written/sung it for, especially since we don't know what's really '"really" happening in her life (unless she has opnely discussed about it), yet this section of "One More Try" inevitably does create some correlations with people involved in Mariah's life from back in the day (who could be the "teacher")":
"When you were just a stranger
And I was at your feet
I didn't feel the danger
Now I feel the heat
That look in your eyes
Telling me no
So you think that you love me, no
That you need me
I wrote the song, I know it's wrong
Just let me go"

"Meteorite" (45,623) by Billy from Greece
Does anyone else think that this song was probably inspired by what MC experienced during American Idol, watching people striving for fame? Gorgeous song anyways.

Re: THE TRUTH from USA (45,622) by MimiLamb from Germany
Rude much? To attack Shelly the way you just did? Who made you God? Who made you the truth about everything Mariah? Let people be and respond the way they want. There are different ways to respond in a more respectful way than this.

Shelly about the home (45,621) by May from Denmark
The house pictured in the cover of the news is not Mariah Carey's home. It never was. She was planning on buying it and it was said she checked the house and everything but never did buy it. It was all over the news in its time because that manor is incredibly expensive. That house pictured in the news front (which is wrongly depicted, maybe no one has pointed out that to them, the Mirror.uk has done the same mistake) is a house in Beverly Hills called "Fleur de Lys", its owner is a multi-billionaire who bought the house for over 100 million dollars. It's currently one of the most expensive manors in the US. Mariah Carey "recreational" home is the one you posted, the "West Coast Crib" where she did the tv special. She used to own a Bahamas house and posted for sale around 2012 if I'm correct, I don't know if it got sold. And finally she rented in that same year she was trying to sell the Bahamas house a mansion in the Hamptons for a couple of months. She still has her amazing "flat" (haha, it sounds funny to call it that way) in New York. I guess she will always keep that one dearest to her heart, it's known to be her preferred place, the "home sweet home". I'm guessing she might get another house in the future or looking into it.

(45,620) by THE TRUTH from USA
Shelly, not to be rude but you sure clearly one of those people who insists on believing in Santa Claus. The cup is not always half full. Yes the picture you just posted is or was their actual home and it's not an accident that a mach larger and more luxurious property was posted and described than the actual one. I'm starting to wonder if maybe you're one of her PR trolls. It's hard to imagine that anyone could be so blindly devoted. Sure we all love her voice and music but most of us can see more clearly that something is also very wrong ever since 2001.

More music (45,619) by Abraham from USA
This album has left me wanting more music. I don't want to sound greedy or ungrateful. Because I love this album. But I just want more. I think Mariah did a great job sequencing the songs. But I'd still want to hear the ones that didn't make the album. "Hope street", "I'll still be around" and "Save the day". I wonder if those songs were tossed, or saved for the next album? "Save the day" sounds interesting. "Music box" material maybe? Sounds like a ballad. For now "Heavenly" is giving me everything I wanted. Such an amazing track.

Feeling enthusiastic (45,617) by Dove from USA
Thanks Ken. I'm glad you appreciate my enthusiasm. I was starting to feel like an annoying Stan but really it's because I have nothing else to do right now. I'm on vacation, my son is with his dad, and I already cleaned. I don't know what to do with myself so I've just been reading, watching movies, and coming on here. Stacey, I did see the video with the Rock and it was really cute. They did seem really happy to see each other. They would have made a cute couple in another life. I really hope they make a DVD with visuals for this CD and put it on Netflix. For Cry and One More Try it can just be the same as Camouflage. Then Supernatural can be like AIWFC with home video footage of the family but especially dem babies, like when they were born until now. Maybe some footage of them singing. For Heavenly (No Ways Tired/Can't Give Up Now) they can use the performance from the TV special. You Don't Know What to Do can be Studio 54 style with a gold dress. Or any other idea they have but I'm craving some visuals.

House (45,616) by Dove from USA
This house looks like the one from the Real Husbands show, and the At Home concert, and the When Christmas Comes video. I wonder why they used that other house.

Wave good bye to Bel Air (45,615) by THE TRUTH from USA
Too bad that is not and never was their home. Not sure whose publicist was responsible for that BS article but the joke is on the lambs because you're being scammed. I wouldn't say that they didn't sell but neither the description nor the photo is legit. If you don't want to take my word for it, do your own research.

Trish (45,610) by Dove from USA
She had the diva attitude even before Nick, though. I agree that this album shows more of her personal side and she seems more connected and real. Maybe she doesn't seem grounded because we hardly see her, and when we do it seems like she doesn't want to be there, like she would rather be at home with her kids. At first I didn't love Supernatural that much either. I thought it was cute but, like you said, not deep enough. But then I started thinking about when my son was a baby before he really started talking. I mean, you love them but you don't really know them yet. As they start getting older and you get to know their personalities, there's more to say. When they're babies you just know you love them unconditionally and they love you and accept you that way too. It's a love like no other, like the way God loves us. Then one day they say something that makes your heart feel like its going to burst with pride and love; like, "I'm a chanteuse." Because you realize that's your kid a real person and not just a cute baby and they have a lot in common with you. Then I realized it is pretty deep.

Katy Perry / Meteorite (45,609) by Stacey from USA
I watched the video and it's clearly a diss. With the audience laughing right along with her. KP needs to be careful. While she is the flavor at the moment, she too will fade away. Not to say MC has faded away. But things do change. The music industry changes. However, MC is in a league of her own. Did you see the videos posted of MC attending the Herclules premiere? I loved how Dwayne Johnson left the reporter to hug MC as she passed by. Her happy reaction at seeing DJ was for real. Folks like KP are looking for any way to stay relevant, even if it means putting others down. I can't stand her for that very reason, lol. I've wasted enough time on her as it is. By the way, I am loving Meteorite. It's my jam at the moment.

Camouflage video idea (45,608) by Dove from USA
She's wearing the black knee length dress she wore when she performed with the New York Philharmonic last year. (I really love the way she looked that night.) It's a stripped down version with just the main vocal track and the piano. The person that co-wrote the song/accompanist is in the video too. So it's just the two of them, a shiny black grand piano, and maybe white roses and candles. Oh and the video is in black and white.

Meteorite video idea (45,607) by Dove from USA

For the Meteorite video I envision the beginning (including the spoken part) showing a meteorite coming towards the Earth, like it shows in this movie trailer. Then she's laying down in the crater and the camera comes closer to her, just like in the trailer. She's wearing the dress from her Paris wedding and her hair is like it was at when she sang with the New York Philharmonic last year. So she's laying there and she sings, "Gotta get up, cause you know the world is waiting." And so she stands up and the ground she's standing on lifts her up and suddenly she's on a stage. She starts singing and at first she's looking at the camera but as the song progresses she gets more into it and the audience (us) disappears for her, she's in her own world and starts to glow from within (like in the movie). When she sings "You've got the night to light up the sky" she's surrounded by a starry night but she's the brightest star in it.

Shelly (45,606) by Trish from USA
I like the things you said about Nick and I agree with you about Mariah wanting to stay home more. The thing is people who think Nick hurts Mariah's career is that it should be the opposite. Mariah being a married, working mom, should bring her back down to earth and make her more relatable, and quite frankly this album has pieces of the more personal/connected Mariah then we've seen in years. I was disappointed in Supernatural because I wanted her to go deeper.
