Dream setlist come rescue me (46,364) by Bill from the UK
Amidst all of the difficult messages about Mariah's private life, reading everybody's dream set lists is bringing a smile to my face in these trying times for her where I can't help but feel deflated and saddened. My concert would have a focus on the new album, and the classics "for the nostalgia", with a piano bar like section towards the end with just Mariah and acoustic accompaniment, where she can show everybody she's still got it.
The Art of Letting Go (overture - instrumental)

Always Be My Baby
My All
Faded

Money
Heartbreaker (remix)

(the piano bar)
I’ll Be There (with Trey)

"That rainbow's end" (46,363) by Andrew from UK
I think the time has come that we, Mariah Carey fans, have to accept that a lot of things are over: the stellar music career is at an end; the voice is irreparable and preventing live performance of even a whole song; her popularity has disappeared to the point of barely being able to chart; the sympathy for her - which was the building blocks of her career from Looking In onwards - has gone. And now her marriage. I never thought I'd say it: should we not rationally debate, as fans, whether it's time for her to do a "goodbye" era? It may be better for her and everyone can move on. *Remembers a childhood spent listening to Mariah whilst staring out at the ocean and is reminded that all things end.* Teenage me would kill me for saying this. Everything ends.

What does [sic] mean? (46,362) by Joyce from USA
I just read the article about what Nick Cannon's dad wrote. Can someone please tell me wat the in captions (sic) stands for. It makes no sense to me. [Webmaster: See Wikipedia.]

Daydream327 video (46,361) by christine from USA
Daydream327, your video was incredible, and it made me cry too. I wish Mariah and Nick could watch it and remember.

Lyrics (46,360) by Darryle from USA
I've been listening to alot of different artists looking for some good songwriters but at the end of the day I always seem to come back to Mariah. Her lyrics are so poetic and honest. It's almost like every time she writes a song she's copying a page from her diary for us to read. She writes them in a way that makes them relatable to us and herself. She makes them original and strays from the cliches. I love how she can take any subject matter from partying to love to loss and make it original and add her own Mariahisms to it. I don't think you can get a better songwriter than Mariah. If she weren't a singer she'd probably be a songwriter or beautician.

They were in love probably still are (46,359) by Me. I am Carly from USA
Daydream you messed me up with video almost cried. People can say whatever they want about Nick, even Mariah, but the reality is she was deeply in love with him and I think she still is, you can tell she just got tired of loving someone who was not there to love, and Nick yeah she is a diva but you knew that you both knew everything. I think the biggest problem is you have two people who can't let go of their egos but that is human nature and they are no more at fault than the other 50% of people who can't make marriage work. Just like we have always had war we will always have broken hearts. Sadly sometimes, many times, love is not enough. I am just tired of people saying they were not really in love, just stop.

The tour (46,358) by supafly from
I would love for Mariah to perform her entire album live from start to finish, as the body of work she intended it to be. It would be a world first (as far as I know) and a fantastic concept for the tour. Makes sense. Yes, we would miss the classics, but Mariah has done them time and again. I think this idea would show MIAMTEC in a new light. It deserves the exposure and praise. I still listen to it every. single. day.

The Elusive Chanteuse Show dreamlist (46,357) by Lainsky from Philippines
I saw her live for the first time back in 2004 here in Manila during her Charmbracelet Asian tour and the songs I can still remember she performed that made the crowd gone wild were the first song as she was entering the stage Heartbreaker, Always Be My Baby, Dreamlover and Honey. The most expensive ticket that time has now tripled for this year's show so I am not sure if I will watch it but we'll see. Anyway, below is my dream songlist.
1. YDKWTD
2. Heartbreaker remix/album version
3. Always Be My Baby remix
4. Don't Forget About Us
5. Dreamlover TAOM version
6. You're Mine (Eternal)
7. Sweetheart
8. My All/Stay A While
9. One More Try
10. Breakdown
11. Angels Cry
12. Meteorite
13. Fantasy
14. Heavenly (No Ways Tired/Can't Give Up Now)
15. Fly Like A Bird
16. We Belong Together
It would be great if she will sing Butterfly live.

The true love story video you made me so sad. I really hope they work things out. They came so far. I hope they keep trying. It doesn't seem like Nick is cutting back on his workload though which is probably a big part of the problem. Anyway, sending lots of love to Mariah and dem babies.

Stacey (46,355) by Stephen from London, United Kingdom
You know what they say about great minds, right? Lol. I agree, I hope it can be sorted out amicably too. However, if Nick couldn't keep his mouth shut during the marriage, I can't foresee him doing that in the long term post any divorce. Whilst I feel for Mariah, my last post doesn't take away from my opinions re how Mariah should have got out there and promoted MIAMTEC. Whilst, I now understand why she hasn't, I personally would have gone out there held my job and career together. With that being said, I'm trying not to judge, as I've never been divorced, thankfully lol.

Mariah Carey is Mariah carey (46,354) by Fahmi Mustaffa from Malaysia
Having said that, she will bounce higher everytime she falls. The industry will try as much to bring her down but we know that she is the falcon, rising up, soaring from dem ashes. Lambily will always be by her side. Through thick and thin, through eveything. She is our Mariah Carey. She will soar with another record, maybe Me. I Am Mariah to the second power, and she will prove that no matter how much people try to bring her down, she will just gonna fly higher. We love you, Mariah.

Mariah's next CD: They Call The Wind Mariah (46,353) by John from USA
On a lighter note: What do you think about calling Mariah's next CD by the same song that her mother named her after (with a twist of course, using Mariah, instead of the original Maria)?

Is he serious? (46,352) by Abraham from USA
Nick's dad reminds me of Kelly Price. Nobody cares for his boring book. Watch it flop more than Mariah's album.

Daydream's video so sweet (46,351) by Andrew crisostomo from Canada, niagara falls
I love that video you posted here, I don't know if you made it or somebody else, but its the sweetest thing. I know Nick loves her and he always talks about it like seen on the video so he gotta do whatever to make it work. You know what, I'm going to copy that video and post it on twitter so hopefully it blows up and starts trending and maybe, just maybe Nick Cannon will see it. I would love it if you all are with me. My twitter is @bfotch.

Now we know the kind MC married into (46,350) by jaker20 from US
Not only is Nick going to talk, it looks to me that his family is just like him. And most likely cash in on her failed married. Yeah, I'll be a broken record to say I never liked Nick, but here it is for the world to see why, unfolding right before our eyes. Guess what, MC is classy enough not to bring this family matter to the media and public. Unfortunately the other half isn't like her.

This is the sweetest thing ever for you (or whoever did) to compile this together. My heart is going out to their entire family right now. I hope they can come to realize that no matter what, all marriages have their ups and downs, and that although resiliency is hard to find at times, the journey to get there only makes you (as a person, a couple, or a family as a whole) stronger than you could ever be. Mariah has inspired us tremendously always with the inspirational pieces she makes throughout her career. I hope she finds her inner hero to come along to save her family and remembers that nobody can take that away from her.

Dear everyone (46,348) by Anthony Basco from Cardiff, Wales
So many things happen in our lives. Christmas and birthdays, love and heartbreak, illness and death. It's all part of life. One thing I get strongly from listening to Mariah is that she's a strong woman. Someone who is able to express themselves, either via speaking to a friend or writing a song, is a strong person. It means they aren't burying their head in the sand. Acceptance is part of grief, and grief is normal and healthy. I believe Mariah is stronger than the sum of what we know of her, and she will be fine. For bless, Mariah, and we're all here for you. As a final note, I just want to say, whenever a marriage breaks down, usually it's both parties have a part to play and "the blame game" is not helping anyone. Let's just support our idol and not get involved with blaming she or he. It's not our life, or business. Whatever either says is their own version of events. We can have our own opinion, I just politely suggest being non-judgemental.

Wishing Mariah all the best (46,344) by Persa from Greece
I just want to express my love and support to Mariah. This is such a sad turn of events. I hope she is doing fine and that she has people around her, close family and friends, to stand on her side at this difficult time. I can't believe Nick Cannon has proven to be such a low class person, badmouthing his wife and mother of his children to the whole world. I never liked him in the first place but he was her choice and she seemed happier than ever. Mariah deserves so much better than him.

"The purity of a child's heart before it was ever broken" (46,343) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
Mariah and family are certainly in my thoughts and prayers now. Although none of us who follow her work, and we're acquainted with many details of her life via "celebrity" we can't really ever claim to "know" her. Her music has been a huge part of my life's soundtrack since I was 12 when (Vision Of Love came out). The lack of promotion makes sense. Perhaps folks will cut her some slack during such a transition period. As Stacey mentioned, it takes two in a marriage and both Nick and Mariah are co-creators of their personal experience. No one is to blame, it just is what it is. Pretty telling that "It's a wrap" and "Betcha Gonna know" are on the deluxe version of MIAMTIC. That's not an accident. I have to say I respect her choice not to do a promo blitz for the record. I know it upset many lambs, but seriously, how would she genuinely promote this album without taking about the songs and potentially making the whole thing about "airing dirty laundry"? Her song lyrics on the album are clearly cathartic expression for her. Like a musical diary. Sending love to everyone involved.

Stacey (46,342) by Will from England
I was thinking exactly the same thing this morning (that "Camouflage" is this album's "Petals"). It saddens me that she writes her best songs when she's sad/upset.

Stacey from USA (46,341) by Gilbert from USA
I'm with you on that. I was listening to Camouflage on the drive to work this morning and I could feel the pain and it makes sense (now that we know about the marriage troubles) and I thought how close I feel even more to her because she is giving us a little piece of her life that she is experiencing. Thirsty came on a few songs after then I thought it also made sense. Nick is Thirsty for fame and was taking gigs left and right. I remember somewhere I think it was on her twitter chat she had when the album came out saying she likes to keeps things slightly vague so each person who is experiencing it can relate. Then later there was some footage shot where Nick said Thirsty was about him and Mariah was like I don't know where he got that from.

Nowhere but down (46,340) by Darryle from USA
I have know idea what Mariah's going to do after all of this over. It must be so emotionally and physically draining on her. With Nick and his dad commenting on her health and the kids. Then there's all the people on the internet that couldn't give a rat's a** about Mariah before, but the moment they hear she's separated they think they know something about her insecurities or the way she acts outside of the public eye. I only see this going downhill. Hopefully I'm wrong and Mariah can find solace and peace in her fans, dem babies, her family, and the Lord.

Tidbit (46,339) by PJW from The U.K.
Did you know that Mariah's name is actually Maria? Ma-rye-ah is the true English pronounciation of Maria. As the world became more connected the Latin pronounciation has been commonly adopted. One could argue that Mariah is a name in its own right, however we know that Patricia named her after the musical "They call the wind Maria", itself spelt correctly but pronounced with Rye-ah. [Webmaster: Actually, the musical is called "Paint your wagon", and in it is a song called "They call the wind Maria".]
