Ummm (43,048) by Marissa from USA
I like the Wonderland cover but why does she she have to have alcohol in her hand though? It's beginning to look like her security blanket in everything she does. I cringed as soon as I saw it in the picture.

I totally concur with you on the matter of MC's lyrics. I am of the opinion that Petals is Mariah's best song when lyrics is concerned. It is profound, allegorical and diverse. Her last song that has got deeper lyrics is Languishing. However, in general I think her lyrics has recently deteriorated. Still looking forward to the new album.

No, no, no (43,046) by Joyce from USA
The more I look at that new pic in her panties and bra, with the her arms and coat strategically placed to give the appearance of a thinner body frame, is just so silly as is the side head turn to get her "best side" for the camera. The whole photo just does not look natural. Fail. Tyra Banks would tear this photo apart in ANTM.

What? (43,045) by Joyce from USA
So, the new photo-shoot in black lingerie, "Laun'jarea" as I wish it was spelled, is Mrs. M serving up the same old sex themed look. It's not trashy but it's just not classy. What is the voice of reason in her mind that approves this look? Who cares really? She looks hot now but it is a look for her that is getting worn out as she don't know what else to do. Is this foreshadowing of what's to come, grandma MC in 2024 with big old toopy dritties hanging out on stage?

Re: Orkun (43,044) by Jeremey Carey from United States
Honestly, I have to disagree with you. If you can tell me one song of Mariah that sounds like #Beautiful then maybe I'd agree more. I think she's trying to give this album a different sound and feel. And even with the layout of TAOLG, she hasn't done a layout like that in awhile. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think she's going to give us "Mariah" when we get this album. We'll just have to wait and see.

Future releases from Mariah (43,043) by Isabelle from USA
After this album, I wish she would go independent artist. Island didn't do any good for her after the release of E=MC2. After LA Reid left I believe she would finally get some justice, because everything good he starts with he ends up wrecking it. Now Island and Def Jam split, Def Jam her new label is packed with so many artist and I don't know how are they going to be able give her justice. She should be and indie artist so she can release music without a label telling her what they think might be a hit. I can see her getting a distributor deal with Sony or WMG. I really liked #Beautiful and somewhat The Art of Letting Go they didn't rely on to much synthesizer, wasn't pleased with YME because of the simplicity of the song. I just can't wait for this album and her getting out of Universal.

Mariah on Wonderland magazine (43,042) by ADAM from USA
Check out Mariah on the cover of Wonderland magazine, shot by Terry Richardson. She's fully exposed again wearing lingerie and panty hose with an open trench coat and gloves. This sex kitten look is so played and tired, I'm mean come on now you are over the hill and someone's mom now. Move on. I'm not saying she needs to be dressed like a nun, but I think we can all agree that no one needs to see all that anymore at the age of 44.

Antonio (43,041) by Marissa from USA
I couldn't agree more Antonio. Ariana's debut album came out in 2013. Mariah's came out in 1990. They are clearly two different generations of singers so I don't understand why so many lambs go in on Ariana on Facebook, Twitter and even this messageboard as if they're competition. Whether you think she is a "copycat" or not, out of the younger generations singers like Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, etc. she is by far the best vocalist. Even if you aren't a fan of hers, I think it's extremely harsh that there are like 45 year old lambs that have so much animosity towards someone who's 25 years their junior. Mariah's success is untouchable and damn near impossible in the current state of music, so why worry?

Bradley (43,039) by Mara from United States
As a day one lamb since VOL, those songs in your posts are some of her all time best. I would have to add Til The End Of Time and Do You Think Of Me to those as well. There are so many, There For Me is another unofficial single that I loved too along with the amazing Fly Like A Bird that really hit home with me.

Physical vs digital (43,038) by Lee from UK
I used to be a hardcore collector of Mariah's physical singles and albums; both CD and vinyl. This was mainly so I could hear the remixes which often contained extra vocals or backing vocals. When the music industry began shifting to digital singles, I always felt uneasy about it because I enjoyed having a hard copy with the cover art and the credits right there in front of me and I could see my collection. I always felt I was missing out by purchasing the singles and albums digitally. These days, however, I couldn't care less about hard copies as digital singles don't lose their sound quality and they are backed up and don't get scratched etc. I just wish some of Mariah's older 12" remixes were available on iTunes so I could recreate my physical collection digitally. I know I could rip the songs to my computer but the quality is never the same. Does anyone else feel the same way?

Magazines (43,037) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
In the last 4 days Mariah has been on 4 magazine covers. I'm happy so see that she's getting covers again. I hope she's on the cover of more magazines leading upto the album release. But she should seriously do some photoshoots. Apart from the wonderland cover all the others are old pictures. Just a few more days untill May 6th. I don't know whether the album will be released on schedule or not but I sure am excited. I may get annoyed every now and then but I love Mariah dearly, her songs have really helped me through many times, be it happy or sad, so I'll always support her. I don't care when she releases it, but I am sure when she does, it'll have great songs, her albums never disappoint.

Youre Mine #1 (43,036) by David from UK

Hope (43,035) by Twisterman from Brazil
I hope this album has deep lyrics like many old songs. Besides getting forward to hearing something unique that only Mariah can do I eagerly await your lyrics. I confess that lately I have not impressed me so much, but I know that MC is light years ahead of many, and I know this time I'll be proud of her again. Of all the songs, one that stands out is Petals. In various ways, in different situations, I've been identified with this music and lately has been no different. I appreciate the MC for have composed this song.

Ariana Grande II (43,034) by Antonio from Spain
Hey Blake. To be honest I wasn't refering to you, I had read your message though. I had already thought of commenting on the topic days ago and today felt like the right time. I totally respect your point of view, and I am happy for her as well, wish her success. She has just started out and I'm excited for what she'll bring to the table. Actually, I would like to know, in what ways do you think she is imitating MC? Love to you all.

Questions? (43,033) by B from USA
According to Showbiz 411 columnist Roger Friedman Mariah played the record for IDJ last summer in London and they loved what they heard and now they release a statement contradicting comments she made to Billboard Magazine, the music industry bible. I know there have been some changes going on at IDJ but to flat out disrespect an artist of Mariah's caliber while she's promoting a project you're financing and releasing seems pointless, like we don't have faith in her oh by the way buy the album.

Billboard Music Awards (43,032) by clueey23 from USA
I need MC to open or close the Billboard Music Awards. They are on 5/18/14. And perform whichever song on the album that djs and the public are leaning towards. At the least I hope she is on the show.

The new era (43,030) by Bill from the UK
If this new era becomes more successful than TEOM, hell, even more successful than Daydream, and Mariah rocks up enough number ones to smash all records, all you naysayers will be praising it as a return to glory and you'll be so glad she waited for the album to be right before releasing it. Sometimes I wonder if some of you care more about the stats and chart positions than the actual music.

Music from MC (43,028) by Bradley Zirker from United States
Charmbracelet will forever be my #1 favorite album by Mariah Carey. Can't Let Go will forever be my #1 favorite song by Mariah Carey. Her music is the soundtrack of my life in so many ways. Everything Fades Away, Slipping Away, Looking In, Side Effects, I Wish You Well, Close My Eyes, Petals, Through The Rain, Alone In Love, After Tonight, Can't Let Go, Make It Happen, Never Forget You are just a few songs from her that speaks to my spirit on a personal level.

Mariah Carey fans (43,024) by Bradley Zirker from United States
It is so funny to see how everybody is talking shit about the direction Mariah is going in her career and yet I bet when her album finally comes out, all of you are going to be praising her voice up to the sky. Now don't get me wrong, I love Mariah but yes, I am a little tired of waiting for this album. I am anxious just like the rest of the fans out there. At the same time, I don't stress that much on it because I know when Mariah Carey delivers it, she is gonna serve all the haters.

Antonio (43,023) by Blake from USA
I hope your post wasn't referring to mine. I showed no hate for anyone, even Ariana. I was stating that she is exploding with #1 on iTunes. Good for her I say. I like her and think she is slowly coming into her own. I do think she is often imitating MC but time is her friend to find her own artistry. I did show concern for Mariah on radio with this new album should it ever be released only because if an artist sounds similar to her (vocally), it could be harder to be played. I was simply asking will this be more trouble with this era's success? Mariah sure don't need anymore problems. Love the Lambily forever.

The Today Show Toyota Concert series (43,021) by clueey23 from USA
They just announced that MC will kick it off 5/16/14. Something is just telling me that this era is gonna be something special at the end of the day. I just want MC to sing all new material. I don't wanna hear "We Belong Together" or "Hero" or anything from the 90s on this concert performance. Lol. I think that if she kinda moved away from huge songs from the past she would be able to draw more attention to the new material instead of deflecting with "Always Be My Baby".

IDJ (43,019) by Stephen from London, United Kingdom
Oh my, it's all turning into one huge mess. Mariah and IDJ have been having differences of opinion for a while. However, this album has been years in the making, and yet they've not sorted it out yet. IDJ obviously feel threatened by an initial iTunes only release. If such a release strategy was to take off, it means the record company becomes less important, because there is less reliance on the company for distribution etc. Whilst I don't think a "surprise" iTunes release would be a great move for Mariah in terms of sales, I would like her to do it, with or without IDJ's permission, just to annoy them and make a point. In the unlikely event that it generated buzz for her album, and this sales, then that would be the icing in the cake lol.
