2 Mariahs (42,863) by Danny Braden from Uk I think we have 2 Mariahs and we always have one is the Mariah we know and love who reaches us with those personal lyrics and we get the humour and realness and then there's two: promotional awkward commercial "stats" and "anecdotes" Mariah who can be quite evasive and wishy washy in interviews especially with people she isn't comfortable with. I think those 2 sides of her are conflicting right now trying to please everyone while staying herself. Her priorities are still music and creativity it's an outlet for her and also an income she has a hell of a lot to sustain in her life but no longer has to prove it. We need to support her decisions and still have a voice and opinion as fans what we aren't happy with after all we buy the music we are promoters in ourselves so we deserve something real. Marissa and Sweetheart Aaron (42,862) by Randy from USA Thank you so much for posting those videos. I want to speak to JD first. He says that people buy the promotion now? People should basically be surprised when the album is on the shelves with the cover and the title? What shelves; there are barely any music stores. And who buys an album (caps) solely because of the way it is promoted? And YME was put out to show she was still singing? We never doubted MC could sing in a studio; she does it better than anyone. It's the live version that bothered us. Am I the only one who noticed TTR and My All has so background vocals on it, but every time she sang it live there are full choirs on stage? And even if YME was to assure us she could still sing, the one time she performed it it wasn't live. TAOLG was to prove she still sings ballads? She's never had an album without a ballad. Mariah's Vevo (42,861) by nikki from usa I was shocked to see that nearly all MC's remixes aren't on Vevo. That really sucks because that's a good portion of her catalog. It puts the original tracks and schmaltz front and center, but all of the diversity isn't there to be seen. She has so many music remix videos, it's a shame they're not being represented. In the world of Vevo, Rihanna has over 4.5 billion views, people like J.Lo are under 2, and Shakira is at 2.4. (Just a sampling of artists.) Mariah is just shy of 1 billion. Those music videos would put her over that mark. Not that the views are important, but it's great promotion and she gets paid for it, plus it shows so much more variety to Mariah's musical stylings. Right now, it just looks like she does ballads. The fact that she's near the billion mark in views is nothing short of amazing since she's an old school artist and the majority of acts today got most of their views within the last few years. Also, I don't think JD is denying that You're Mine was a single, I think he was getting confused. He says there was only 1 other single apart from #Beautiful, and I think the song he's actually referring to is Art Of Letting Go, he's just getting his dates mixed up. Eternal / what JD really said (42,858) by Edward from USA Eternal, JD never said that YM(E) wasn't a single, he said that "The Art of Letting Go" wasn't a single, which is different. Obviously when he was asked about the single release on Valentine's Day, he must've mistaken it for "TAOLG", since he mentioned it, and made reference to the Facebook fan release. YM(E) is definitely a single. Pulling YM(E) as a buzz single at this point would be crazy. (Thursday 24 April 2014; 23:13)

YME / postponement / whatever (42,857) by Musti from UK A big yay to YME for reaching #2 on the Dance Club Songs chart. I really hope it hits #1 next week. In all honesty I was devastated when I first heard that the album was removed from release schedules. I don't think that necessarily means it's not coming out on May 6th. After all these "news" all come from gossip blogs. No one from Mariah's camp has confirmed a push-back and it's quite curious that no one is commenting on May 6th in particular, only saying it's definitely coming out in May. I wouldn't mind another week's delay or two. That JD interview has practically confirmed my suspicions that a new single will be released before the album. Or perhaps Mariah's camp are planning to release the new single and its video the same week as the album, hoping that album sales will push the single to #1. However one thing I'm sure of is that all this agitation from lambs (in particular the lamb that lashed out at JD on twitter) is creating nothing but bad publicity for Mariah, and perhaps even ruining her promo plans for the album. I hope everyone would just relax. One way or another the album will come out. (Thursday 24 April 2014; 23:06)

JD interview (42,856) by Eternal from Italy Thanks sweetheartaaron for the video of JD. He actually gave a bit more info about the new album and their plans. Did I hear it right, JD said that You're Mine isn't a single, but just a little song to prove that Mariah's really singing? So they're just going to pretend it didn't happen, the whole song, after tons of remixes and two videos and a much hyped BET performance? That nonchalant way he said it sounded like he was trying to minimise the failure of that song in the charts. I take it that in Mariah's books, anything less than a top 10 is a failure, probably even Beautiful, since it "only" reached #15. JD even mentioned how Mariah's really looking to get that 19th number one, so that explains why all these singles. Since after 5 singles and this trick still isn't working, it might do them both good to try something different. I doubt it's going to make much of a difference coming out with yet another single before the album. The album started out on the wrong foot and there's no way to remedy all these consecutive errors. Release that album, if it tanks, take another year or two off and come back with a real surprise album then, not a surprise album with a date attached to it. Stay off all the unnecessary twitter and instagram updates about working with so and so, untill the morning blah. Let the music speak for itself. (Thursday 24 April 2014; 21:48)

Random (42,853) by B from USA Did her team release a statement or what? I'm confused? She still has her voice. I think she struggles to sing live because she has to do countless interviews before hand. I hope that she releases the album on May 6th. If she decides not to I'm fine with that too. I still believe she has her voice. The problem I have with her singles these days is the lyrics. She wrote the lyrics to her best songs all by herself. Maybe she should let go of her dependence on collaborators. No more JD, Manuel, and the countless others that cause her to deviate from her style. She needs a hit song with a hit video to promote the album, otherwise the press will dwell on the fact that the album has been delayed and that only #Beautiful achieved chart success. She needs need producers like Happy Perez, The Smeezingtons and Bruno, Calvin Harris. She needs a beat like We Found Love, yes it was EDM but it was still an R&B song. Album releases (42,850) by Manny from U.S. I was watching Wendy Williams. A member of the Wu Tang Clan was interviewed. He said they were releasing an album but only one copy of it. It's going to be worth a lot obviously, like having a painting from a famous artist. He said something along these lines. They decided to do something like that since music can be disposable with all the downloading. I wondered how the lambs would react if Mariah released just one copy of her new album? Petals (42,845) by Philipp from Switzerland While everyone is anticipating the new album, I listened to "Petals" again today and I just realized again why it still is one of my favourite Mariah songs. It's so honest and beautifully written. I can't get over it. I watched some YouTube clips from the Rainbow tour where she performed Petals live, especially the clip from San Jose gets me, the way she starts to cry during the song but keeps on singing is just so emotional. Re: Johnny / Almost Home (42,844) by Joanna from Poland I totally agree with on the matter of that song. It should have been a hit, and I don't understand why it wasn't. It has got the most amazing vocal, full of emotions and a captivating melody. Moreover, it's totally different from Mariah's mainstream songs. I also hope we will get similar songs on the new album. If you pay attention reflecting back to what you said about the AMA performers, a lot of the performances they do are rituals to satan but a lot of people say no it's just entertainment etc but it really isn't. It's dark and it's evil and it attacks, feeds on our conscience without realizing it. I'm not trying to preach to anyone here but it's just to realize that it does exist and those who don't involve themselves in that are the ones who struggle. Australia is usually the last to get anything unfortunately. As for the bonus tracks, it is often cheaper for Japanese consumers to import the album from another country, so to encourage them to buy the version produced in their country to support their economy, bonus tracks are added to act as an incentive to spend more money on the album than they would if they were to import it.
