Total mess (42,778) by Orkun from The Netherlands
Our love for Mariah makes us blind. If any other artist was doing what she was doing, we would trash it like no other. She always says what advice she would give to the Mariah that came out 20 something years ago. I wonder what the young Mariah would tell the current Mariah. Out of excuses. Enough marketing lies.

MC 5/6 (42,777) by Ryan from the Philippines
IMO, Mariah should just release the album on that promised date. The chaos that's been going on in the lamb world is getting worst and if she decides for another push back, she might lose more and more fans along the way. Mariah, just release it on 5/6, the album will tank if it's gonna tank. So what if it flops? What's new? It already happened to her recent singles. What the team (Mariah, label and others) can do is to promote it everywhere (radio, YouTube, iTunes, tv, awards show) to back up its release. That is the only card they can throw at this point in concern to Mariah's current career situation. And please, not another Beyonce-type of release. Sony can back her up with all the means for her, Island is just duh, whatever (censored). The fans have been waiting for so long and already have exhausted all the understandings from the delays but I think we've had enough and it's getting messy. How many revamps does the album need? When in fact until now none of the released singles from the album went to atleast top 10 on the Hot 100. So it's better to just release it, work it out, and prepare for the next one.

Guys relax (42,776) by Nathan from USA
I'm am so sure that we're in for a very pleasant surprise in the near future. Everything's been kept so mum lately, eerily mum. They are acting as though there isn't even an album in the works. I think they are pumping up the album with the element of surprise/shock value release. 6-7 weeks ago, Mimi said she isn't coming back until it's finished. A month ago, they hold an album party. Since then there's been a calculated silence. Trust me, 2 weeks away there is no way MC wouldn't have announced its postponement. Wait and see guys, wait and see. We are in for a nice surprise I guarantee. PS. Leave Jermaine alone. This is obviously her plan and you all need to trust in her and see.

Ripping my rose colored glasses off (42,775) by Marissa from USA
I honestly think Mariah takes us for granted at this point. She has the nerve to come out of an Instagram hibernation to post all of these Easter pictures and say absolutely nothing about the album. Mariah finally tweeted a promotional tweet a few hours ago. Guess who it was for? Debbie Allen. This is just plain wrong. I really am losing the connection that I once felt with her as a fan. If she really knew/cared how we felt than she should at least be making some serious attempts to inform us about her feelings, what's really going on, just something. If it is true that Mariah just wants to focus on her family, that's great, but keep it real and tell us that you are retiring. Don't string us along pretending that music is still your passion when it seems like just a hobby at this point. I don't agree with the whole "take your time Mimi, even if I'm on my deathbed when you finally release your album" mentality. We've all sat here and patiently waited for long enough. It's time for people to be held accountable.

Eric the webmaster (42,774) by Terna from Nigeria
You've been actively censoring posts latetly, blotching out words and sometimes phrases you feel are inappropriate, yet a whole post by Angelo, a very disrespecting and insulting post went unedited and uncensored. Makes one wonder what exactly the criteria is you use when censoring messages. [Angelo did not disrespect Mariah, he's just very upset about the delay and seeing other messages he's not the only one. He only said Mariah should be ashamed for pushing back the album agian and again.]

Re: Shame (42,751) by Angelo (42,773) by Terna from Nigeria
In my fourteen years of coming to this site, I have never read a message more disrespectful than this message you posted. What where you thinking? Honestly, you should be ashamed of yourself for cooking up something so vile, all because there's an unconfirmed rumour of an album pushback. And shame to all of you guys who gave him thumbs up for disrespecting Mariah like that. Sometimes I wonder what some of you take Mariah for. Its such a pity to see such on a Mariah fan site, the one place one would hope to see positive things being said about her.

All I want from Mariah is the album Mariah wants me to hear (42,772) by Geronimo from USA
I just realized that I started caring about the media and radio in particular when I started caring about Mariah. I wanted to hear her music in the media because I didn't have money to buy her records. There were other artists that I wanted to hear on the radio as well. But really, I was just biding my time until a Mariah song came on. Now that I am grown and can't really stand social media or the radio, I still love Mariah. I feel sorry for people who catch feelings about the fact that Mariah is not all over the place right now. She had her time of ridiculous fame and ubiquitous media presence and (besides the money and the catalogue) she didn't want it. She let it go. She produced some of her most generic music at the height of her fame and decided after Daydream that she would to go in a different direction, come what may. This era is what has come. A quarter of a century into her incomparable career in this competitive industry that is based on the sensuality and musical preferences of teenagers and now Mariah is having professional drama that you and I just don't get and probably never will because it is none of our business and has nothing to do with regular people's lives. Mariah Carey is having millionaire problems right now. She's a smart woman and she will figure it out. She'll work it out and release the only thing I care about: the album Mariah Carey wants me to hear.

Nervous, perhaps (42,771) by Mara from United States
I am beginning to think keeping mum on the whole album could be better promotion than you would think. It is keeping people talking, twitter is on fire with questions about Mariah's new album, questions about a possible push back again, questions to JD, Kristopher Buckle etc. Mariah being so quiet especially. I really hope we're in store for something big. Think about it, no promotion, people talking up until bam it gets released. I don't know, just a thought. On the other hand, if Mariah is totally switching it up and saw that the sound she was going for didn't go over well and has to rework things, then give her the time. We know she is a perfectionist and does not have the same life as when she could spend hours for days in the studio. She has babies now, they are her main priority. I for one would never want to be one of the people that contributed to her having a breakdown due to stressing over this album. When she is ready, we will hear it.

Getting all the ducks in a row (42,770) by nikki from usa
Having a great product is nothing if no one knows about it. Despite personal preferences You're Mine is a fantastic single and had every potential. I've heard non lambs and even haters alike say this is the best song they've heard from her in years. MC promoted it on BET and radio interviews geared toward the R&B market. Guess what? The R&B and dance charts is where it soared. She didn't promote it on pop and pop stations didn't play it. This only goes to show, if she promotes her music then it will get played. Mariah, you need professionals, not friends where your career is concerned. Being sexy is fine as long as there's a point to it. Dancers get away with it because of movement. Just standing and posing looks weird when you're not a model. But, if you're storytelling and a mermaid or a vampire then they'll just have to deal with it, won't they? You've got art to deliver. She can't do everything herself. If her label isn't going to promote it and her managers/publicists aren't going to set her on outings to promote herself, then she has nothing. She needs a manager, a publicist, and a label to do their damn job so she can do hers. It's time to release Thirsty, just come out with the big guns and let the rest follow.

Album pushbacks? (42,769) by Josue Almodovar a.k.a. Lamby Joe from USA
Her life. Her priorities. Her family. [...] Any good parent knows that starting a family changes everything. Your children become your priority. Unless you're a terrible parent and don't care about your family. Being a parent (a decent one as Mimi always wanted to be) is hard work and a full time job in itself. [...] This applies to rich folk too. Hiring all the nannies and maids in the world does not make up for your own time, love and effort. Mariah, do what you gotta do as long as it's what you want and in your best interest.

Julian (42,767) by Will from England
I just checked the release date on Amazon UK, and it's still showing 6th May. However, the price has increased to £22.99, from the £15 that it was a couple of weeks ago. Naturally, this could all change. Could she be doing the staggered release strategy? I also just checked Amazon US and the release date there has been completely removed, stating that one has not been set.

Suggestions (42,765) by Jhonny from Guyana
Mariah is a great singer and the best to me. However, Mariah needs to wins fans or fans back. First she needs a new wardrobe, that is dress more elegant and throw away the tight and short dresses. It's not like she must not wear tight and short dresses but she needs to get the attention of media and promote herself so people will know who is Mariah. More public appearances and performances needed. Mariah needs a callobration with a great artist as herself ,maybe a male or a band. She also needs to work on the sound of her music, like more uptempo sounds which is very catchy. People will get more interested in listening to a catchy song than a ballad at this moment. So a catchy single should be released as a new single and not rap or hip hop.

Push back (42,764) by Trish from USA
The music and her image have become a complete mess. I still think she's too far removed from reality to have a hit song or album without a major ego check. I have said this before but look at Bruno Mars If I Was Your Man, pretty melody, straight forward lyrics that everyone can relate to and major hit. It would take the 90s Mariah a day in the studio to write and sing something similar but better. She just doesn't understand what people want to hear, people are eating up simple, relatable tracks and it's time she hired someone to help her with lyrics and melody again. Mariah thought TAOLG was "relatable" and what her fans were asking for... really? #Beautiful was the best song I've heard from her in many many years but why the hashtag? I think the hashtag took away from the song and made people roll their eyes before even hearing it. Drinking in interviews isn't helping either, as we all have witnessed. I love Mariah but I'm losing interest in the image she's projecting and the subpar lyrics she's been writing since TEOM was such a big hit.

Give us a online special and be frank (42,763) by Me. I am Carly from USA
I am terribly frustrated no matter if the album is late or not. I would honestly like to have Mariah do a serious interview, maybe put together a nice special for the lambs just to explain the era. I am talking an online "special", just a thank you to the fans and with interviews and sets of some favorite songs. I don't think it is about us being entitled at this point, it is about being mislead and I do believe that Mariah needs to be very frank and explain to us what her plans are, is she retiring, is she taking a break, what is going on with her voice ect.

Blame (42,762) by G.G. from USA
When The Emancipation and E=MC2 were highly successful, I gave credit to Mariah, Benny Medina and the label/L.A. Reid. So, now with this mess, I blame MC, Jermaine Dupri and the label/Barry Weiss. You can have an excellent product, but if there's bad management involved, it won't do well. I've seen it happen before.

Good for her (42,761) by supafly from
If Mariah delays the album again, of course I'll be disappointed, but I know it is what's best for her. The last thing I want is for her to have a breakdown because she is trying to please everyone else. She is obviously under pressure to get this right, and judging by the "blame Mariah" and "shame on her" posts on here, it's her fans who are causing it. Shame on anyone who is selfish enough to demand or hold expectations for an artist's work. We are lucky to be blessed with anything from her. It's Mariah freaking Carey. Take your time Mariah. Take care of yourself and your family. That is and should be your priority. I for one will be grateful if and when you have perfected your creation and are truly ready to share it with the world.

Album release (42,760) by Mikey from USA
I'm still hopefull it will come out on 5/6. The title of the article is completely unfounded and is just speculation. There have been behind the scenes promo like her Wonderland Magazine cover shoot. I still feel like something is brewing behind the scenes. The only reason I hesitate is that if the singles that were put out were the best the album has to offer so far it's not a good sign. I don't see why they think "We Belong Together" part 15 is a good idea. Maybe they just don't recognize it? I agree with the post below, Mariah should look for something fresh and new. I feel like a lot of times she reproduces a lot of what was successful for her in the past which more times than not comes off as being stale. That said, I still desperately want Walter back.

Hero (42,759) by Bill from the UK
Last night, and this afternoon, Hero was played on two separate radio stations in the UK. Mariah rarely gets airplay here except for at Christmas time with AIWFCIY, so it is always an unexpected joy to hear her on the radio. Hero sounds so good on the airwaves. I will be disappointed if the album is pushed back, but we have so many great songs from her past catalogue to enjoy in the mean time, let's not forget that.

Stop trying to put off the inevitable (42,756) by Johnny from United States
It's sad but true. They keep pushing the album back because her singles are not connecting with mainstream America. They are afraid the album will bomb without a successful single to promote the album. She will not have a successful single if she doesn't promote it right. The general public isn't interested in her style of music at the moment. I am a hardcore fan and even I'm losing interest. You're Mine was uninspired. A weak attempt at We Belong Together Part 4. She's making herself irrelevant which is unbearable to me. Wake up MC.

My thoughts (42,755) by Nathan from USA
Believe it or not, recent events have made me "much more" excited for this album/era than I have been post push-back of 7/23. Here's why. After all the stalls/failed singles, I think the route it appears MC's taking as of late will be best. She's kept mum on everything album related. Now I hear it's disappeared off Islands' and other websites? Nah. This is a bluff if you ask me. Until Mariah herself says it's cancelled, it's not. She's kind of taking the "Beyonce" route. I'm betting on May 6th, or as close to that date as possible, we won't here anything about it. Not a peep. Then boom. We'll get the album available only digitally and as a package and a new single available, artworks, titles, articles. plus promo. Hopefully this is what they'll do. Let's see, but I hope I'm right. PS. [censored]

Mariah's new album (42,754) by Gilles from Malta
She can take as long as she wants. I do not mind, this album is going to be a legend and I really can wait for it. She is a perfectionist, she is from my point of view and really as talented as a lot of other artists. It is going to be wow and I really think she wants this. And keep in mind, it is not official that the album has been pushed back. Slow down fans arround the world, soon it will be out.

Album push back (42,752) by David from Australia
Based on the long silence, it seems the album has been pushed back. I wish people would stop blaming JD though; it's not his fault the album's not ready. Mariah is clearly not finished with the album and understandably doesn't want it to be heard for that reason. I'd rather have her delay the album again, despite how frustrating it might be at the moment, rather than have her release an album that's only half finished just to stick to a date. I'd prefer great quality music in the long run, as opposed to a bunch of incomplete songs just thrown together.

Shame (42,751) by Angelo from Italy
It's a shame, after 4 years and "final touching" or "final mixing", it's a shame that the album gets pushed back again. And don't tell me about Island or whatever, it's a shame that an artist stays in the studio until dawn the last 2 weeks before the release. After 4 years. Shame on her, and when she'll find the brave to confirm the pushed back, I'll start "operation shame on her", because this is what she deserves.
