You're Mine (Eternal) (41,218) by Stephen from London, United Kingdom Great song, great hook, great production. In the same vein as WBT, but unlike Love Story and most of the ballads on E=MC2, it doesn't sound like a poor rip off. It updates the formula. I know the song was produced by Darkchild, but major shout out to Mariah for the production. It sounds like a Mariah Carey production and that impresses me a lot. So many people have always given credit to JD, and the various producers Mariah has worked with. However, irrespective of who she works with, when it comes to mid tempo ballads, they all have a certain feel, which can only be attributed to Mariah as producer, as the common denominator with these tracks. It highlights why she is the most successful female producer and songwriter of all time. Now on to the bad news, the video. It's a total non event. A snooze fest. What on Earth was she thinking? Another vanity video. Great, just what Mariah needs at this point. Ok, I don't want her to do a Gaga or Rihanna, but surely she can incorporate a decent storyline, especially with this song. It would be so easy to do. Hopefully, the remix has a video, which helps shape some kind of story. I think the record company may have put zero money into this campaign, which limits what Mariah can do to be fair. On a positive note, she and Trey looked all kinds of phyne. My outpouring for Mariah Carey (41,217) by Andry from Indonesia Hi, Lambs. I'm happy to finally be able to join this forum after I just become a "careful reader" for years of the various aspirations of you guys against Mariah. Now, I feel I want to be a part of you. I hope we can all come together as "extended family" like how Mariah often refer to us that way. I know, if a message is too long it will not be published, so I'm trying as hard as possible to speak of what the outline of the statement I want to say. By the way, this week is a week full of surprises at a time, with the release of the new single "You're Mine (Eternal)" and everything associated with it. I do not have to respond to what I had with all this hysteria. But, I'm just a little feel something is not managed very well or as it should be, I mean, with the release of Mariah's singles that even to this day remains ambiguous for us all, which is the exact lead single off 3 singles so far from Mariah? Mariah's Your're Mine video (41,216) by Gilles from Malta Regarding the nudity, the first time that we saw Mariah almost naked it was in "My all" album version and especially in the remix "My all stay a while". The video is ok but they should have made the biggest wings on her back. There are a lot of symbols regarding the song. I would love to know when she wrote it and and the meaning of all the symbols as the gold powder, the wings that makes reference to Butterfly the song. YM video (41,214) by Licia from USA The only thing that I didn't get in the video was Trey Songz scenes. They just seemed out of place. I know she said in one of the interviews that she couldn't get him to Puerto Rico. Maybe they should have just left his scenes out and just put him in the remix video. It's not an issue for me. But seriously, everything she does is the same for the last 7 years. [...] This saddens me. I'm a fan. [...] She said recently that belting all the time is boring. Well I'm sorry but so is whispering. All the time. I'm fed up by waiting for a climax to hear some singing. And the quality of lyrics and melodies go down. I truly wish she gets it together. Video (41,211) by Lyric from USA The YM video is pretty uneventful, a typical Mariah video with vanity shots and no plot. I would have loved to see her and Trey interacting and playing out the emotions of the song. I think Mariah could use a creative director as far as her visuals are concerned. But now that I've listened to it more than once, I'm in love with it. That one note at the end, Mariah nailed that. The song and the video (41,207) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter So can I just say this again that I am in love with the song. It's so cute and mushy but deep at the same time. And the hook has been on my head all throughout the day. Ok now for the video, Mariah's makeup and hair was gorgeous. Simple yet oh-so-sexy. However, I wish for once she wouldn't sit throughout the whole video with one hand covering her chest, I mean I get it that she's a mermaid, but come on wear shell bikini or a glitter bikini MC. But ok I don't care, she looked great, the underwater shots were so beautiful. Her shots in the rainforest looked like a moving piece of art. And Trey looked so amazingly sexy. You're Mine ( Eternal) (41,206) by Manny from U.S. Wow the song puts me in a hypnotic, starry-eyed, and trance-like state. The part where she sings "I can't seem to live without your love, and I just can't seem to give you up, you're mine" sounds hypnotic to me. The different textures of her background vocals and subtle sounds also send me into this hypnotic state. The lyrics are so relatable. When you love someone and you're not over it, you keep thinking they're yours. I still feel like that about an ex. Even though we might never get back together. The last note where she transites into the high note sounded so flawless. Like when you're playing strings on a musical keyboard and you play a note and then hit a note 1 1/2 octaves higher. The transition is so smooth and the ethereal. I hope the public enjoys it like us (Lambily). Mariah, you've done it again. You are a true artist! (Thursday 13 February 2014; 8:04)

Durand puts his own spin on the song while including Mariah's legendary whistle register. He takes is to a sexy place. I hope Mariah hears it and re-does a version like this. Understanding the video (41,203) by Ryan from the Philippines I actually like the video. It's simple yet classy. As I understand, Mariah plays as a goddess (mermaid and butterfly) who fell in love with a guy from the city played by Trey. I disagree that it's another vanity video, it's actually so emotional. Word premiere of Youre Mine music video (41,202) by Justin from USA - Los Angeles Mimi released the main version of her music video via MTV today in over 100 different countries across the globe. Giving meaning to the name global superstar. The video was shot in the jungle with Mariah naked through out most the video. This is the best I have ever seen of Mariah in a music video. It very much reminds me of Ill Be Lovin U Long Time music video. As always Mariah looks flawless. The video is posted as of now exclusively by MTV online. (Thursday 13 February 2014; 4:45)

Song structure (41,201) by enwar00 from usa We all hear things differently so I literally may be the only person that feels this, but I'm loving how You're Mine has an interesting song structure. Like I thought the chorus was three different verses until I read the lyrics and realized it's the same lyrics she's just singing them differently. I just think it sounds so cool. Ok so that and how the hook is so contrasted with the chorus reminds me of Alone In Love. I always felt that Alone In Love was interesting because the choruses are so soft and then the verses are much louder and where it builds. Just thought I'd blab and share. Beause I'm excited. But is it me or was she a little tipsy lol? She was in diva mode and I loved it. As for the song and video, I'm not crazy for the song. It's okay, but that's fine. The video was nice. YME video (41,198) by Paul D from USA I was thoroughly bored with the new video to You're Mine (Eternal), as it basically featured Mariah "look at me" emote for the camera, mostly while squatting. The only part I enjoyed was the brief underwater moment of her swimming. Trey Songz's scenes didn't even seem connected to hers. However, I hope others enjoyed the video, because of course I want the song to succeed. I listened to it for the first time today, and quickly purchased it on iTunes. My two cents (41,197) by Randy from USA I am a bit deflated. First of all, the single is nice, but it's not undeniable. My problem with it not being undeniable is that in the current music climate that means your album could be pushed back when it doesn't hit the top 10. I want an album on May 6 because as we have all learned Mariah does great albums even if the single choices are meh. I do wanna say that the remix is more interesting than the original. The video is boring and I am more attracted to Trey Songz in it than her though. I'm not for all the glitter and the dry wavy hair. Mariah recently (41,195) by Jono from USA So I just watched the video of her on The Breakfast Club and I know a lot of people are giving her flack for the way she acted, but I think she was just being herself. I'd much rather her showcase her goofy personality than to be completely media trained and robotic, which can be really boring. The public perceives her as this over the top diva, which I'm sure she plays it up, but this interview really showcased how fun she is. Now regarding "You're Mine", I absolutely adore it. It's so smooth and sensual; I think Mariah has really hit a groove on her recent songs and if her album is going to sound like that and #Beautiful and The Art of Letting Go, it's going to be killer. Remixs and charts (41,192) by Jeremey Carey from United States I'm new to looking at the Billboard charts, so will the remix and the regular version of the song be treated separately or will all the views for the individual versions count for one position on the charts? I hope everyone is enjoying the new song as much as I am. To me it's like a piece of "Hate u" with a splash of "We belong together", and the fresh sexy feel of "Touch my body", but with current Mimi vocals. And don't the pictures from her music video make her look like some kind of sexy fairy? Lol maybe it's just me. I can't wait to see it. And her performance on Friday!
