BET performance (41,067) by Lee from UK I actually enjoyed listening to this song being performed live. That is actually a good test for me. The first time I heard Vision Of Love and Emotions, they were live performances. If I enjoyed it live, I will more than likely love the recorded version. Mariah's voice sounded great, the chorus sounded pre-recorded but I've come to expect that from Mariah's layering techniques. (Monday 10 February 2014; 8:00)

You're Mine (41,061) by 123 from USA So I just heard the leaked version. This is what I have been waiting for. It’s a perfect merge of Mariah/Mimi. She needed to come hard with a ballad for Valentine’s and this song is Mariah at her best. The lyrics are brill, the melody is chill and catchy and the vocal performance at the end reminds you why she is Mariah Carey. For those who thought she couldn’t do it again, she is back. This song shows the perfect mix of a mature sound, artistic growth, while still creating a song that radio will eat up and become an instant hit. This will be a number 1 record, mark my words. The Art Of Letting Go was a throw away to hold us over, this is the real single and it delivers. (Monday 10 February 2014; 4:19)

I happened to comment that I didn't like a certain single that she released. I got a nasty e-mail from her saying "How dare I come on a Mariah site and trash anything of Mariah." I did like MDJ, but that site was always for fanatics. That and another site, they get so mad when nobody worships everything she releases. Mariah Daily Journal (41,059) by 123 from USA That's too bad that the site is shutting down. I liked how they had all of the magazine interviews housed in their database where I can go back and reminisce or learn something new or back up something I knew she said before. They used to have a comments section and I feel like I was partially to blame for the removal of it. There was several fans on that board who bashed anything urban she did and wondered why she was trying to be "so ghetto" and who also had some insulting things to say about Nick or blamed him for anything. I always defended him because, her personal life should be off limits and I believe that as her husband and father of her children, people should respect him. Especially because he seems too genuinely, love her. This "touchmybody" character who just waited for me to post only to attack me and provoke a response. Then there was this "Avila" character who loved to argue with me and would always respond to my post with some snide counter argument. When Oh Santa came out, I was attacked by both of them because I didn't like the song and they demanded that I love everything she releases. After that ordeal, the comments section was closed. So when I discovered this site, I was so happy that I could interact with other fans that I promised to avoid confrontation and just try to turn the other cheek if someone came at me, and start to curb what I say. I like it. And I agree about "Lullaby". I didn't really like it at first ,but after hearing it more it grew on me. But I'm glad that you love "Charmbracelet" as much as I do. And I think that "There goes my heart again" is on Japan's version of the album. Lucky them huh? I listened to "Yours" and "Bringing on the heartbreak" recently. I just love those two. But I'm super excited about the new album. Hopefully 2014 will be Mariah's year. But I'm wondering if the song "Beautiful" will be left out, since it was released last year. I think this album will be everything we could want from her this era. The voice sounds gorgeous and I love the sultry "Jessica Rabbit" look. The twins were on full display, but so what, she still looked hot and classy at the same time. I can't wait to see this performance, it looks like she was in full diva mode and feeling herself. The end of Mariah Daily Journal (41,054) by RadChad from United States I'm completely sadden and disappointed by the discontinuation of MDJ. It was probably the first fan site I discovered (in the early 00s) and I loved everything about it to the excellent picture archive dating all the way back to the very beginning of Mariah's career, to the weekly updates on album sales and chart positions. I've always felt like this site (MCA) and MDJ completed each other, because one was more informational (MDJ) and the other was more interactive (MCA). I really hope someone takes it over and keeps it going, because along with this site it was definitely a "go to site" for me as a fan and I was truly looking forward to it for this era. To be honest "Miss You" wasn't one of my faves by our queen it's kinda cute, but I couldn't really get into it for some reason. It was the same way for me with "Lullaby". It really doesn't matter that MC's recent singles don't go to Billboard's Hot 100 peak. We should praise the music itself and forget the chart achievements since they are shaped by teenagers. Remember that R&B is not that popular as it used to be, most radio stations that create audience impressions are not eager to play songs of adult contemporary R&B and similar genres. Mainstream radio will not play Mariah songs the way it used to do, it's not 2005 or 2008 any more, people who contributed the famous chart success of We Belong Together or Touch My Body are almost 10 years older right now (however, they buy LP's, and if they just wake up, new album will rule the charts for weeks). These people don't listen to Top 40 format, which delivers that Rihanna thing, I mean europop-techno-influenced songs (even if they are stylized to R&B). #Beautiful did great on charts, and I think that reaching top 30 is a success for artist of Mariah age. Oh, no, wait, we can sell the single for extremely lowered price as Sony and Virgin did, but why for? Let's just enjoy these new songs that are set to come out soon, they are gonna be great the way "You're Mine" is - a pretty strong message that Mariah will not do it for the numbers, because she does it for love. Listening to the leak doesn't help promote the song and get it to number one. She looked amazing though. But the pictures on the back of the screen didn't seem to be filmed anywhere special like Puerto rico, so I hope this is just for the BET performance, and the actual video be a bit better. The bits and pieces that I've heard from the leak were great, I just hope what I heard is the actual single and not a remix.
