Promotion / album / Christopher (40,982) by 123 from USA Christopher, don't fret. News is starting to trickle in on Mariah's plans. She is supposed to be on the View next Wednesday to promote her new single Be Mine. I'm assuming they either changed the name or changed it slightly on the press release like they did Beautiful on Showbiz by calling it Gorgeous. I heard about this song way back in 2012 as the follow up to Triumphant called "You're Mine". That would be perfect for V-Day I know it isn't like her to stay quiet but I believe she really wants her album to be a surprise to the fans and release the plans right when she drops it. I was getting worried as well but just kept my trust that she is brewing something good and is just keeping the info under wraps to take advantage of the surprise factor. New single / album / duets (40,980) by CMC from NY,NY I can't say I'm excited for a lead single not consisting of just Mariah. Speculation on this Trey duet and being first single have me worried. All this time and it seems that this is thrown together last minute. Is she trying to recreate #Beautiful now? I just want fresh new Mariah only with a great hook. Double album (40,979) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I like that idea. I have been thinking for a while too that she has enough material to release a double disc album (even a triple disc lol) because she has been working on this album like forever. I like Mikey's idea that she could have one disc consisting of only songs with her vocals, and the second with multiple duets. And she can release two simultaneous singles from each disc. I don't want her to drop some good songs just because she could not fit it into the tracklist limit. (Thursday 6 February 2014; 20:32)

B (40,978) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter You should listen to the remix like right about now! Inseparable itself was a super cute song, and when they added Trey's part it didn't change it. I liked H.A.T.E.U. remix but I think somewhere along the song it felt like Mariah was the featured artist (but I still loved it as I love when Mariah uses re-sung vocals for remixes). Inseperable kept Mariah's original parts, and just added Trey's vocals. But it was still cute and if the lead single is like that I wouldn't mind. And they would look great in the music video too. Reflecting back (40,975) by Gilbert from USA I forgot which show it was but it was a discussion about Mariah ranting and not answering the fans questions. Anyway, I was thinking back because someone had asked her about single choices and she mention E=MC2 (which is my favorite album compared to TEOM) and I will admit I was pissed off at that time at the single choices. Then when she spoke about it she mentioned herself that she doesn't have control over which singles get released because she preferred Migrate, and I would've as well including Cruise Control and my favorite 4 the Record. The same with Memoris, she stated she didn't have those choices they bounced from Obsessed to IWKWLI and then the floop happened. I believe Betcha Gon Know would've been a strong single because it's a story and with a video following the song would've been amazing. So that was all from me. I blamed Mariah when really she didn't have the choice in which singles were released. (Thursday 6 February 2014; 15:35)

Trey / Will (40,972) by Stephen from London, United Kingdom Mariah and Trey on an official single together, well all I can say is yum, lol. Will, I think it's likely. It kind of makes sense tbh, because to some extent Mariah has struggled to keep certain sections of her fanbase happy since 1997, with some wanting her to continue with her rnb and hip hop flavours, whilst others want her more traditional ballads. To Mariah's credit, it's because she does them both so well that people feel she should do one or the other. This may be an album where she satisfies both sects of her fanbase in one go. For those who like both styles equally, such as myself, it's going to be straight up Mariah porn, should she indeed make such an album. (Thursday 6 February 2014; 14:17)

I remember during the first week of release it was the most downloaded song from the album, which was a sure sign. IDJ really have been dropping the ball promotion and single choice wise since E=MC2. Songs with great potential (40,969) by Elena from The Netherlands The other day I listened to some songs on the Memoirs album and realized that some of those songs are of such a high quality that it's a shame that it is not been made available to a wider public by good promotion of the album or single choices by IDJ. It hit me that when Rihanna or Beyonce would've recorded H.A.T.E. U or Betcha Gon Know, they might have come with a great story-video and heavy promotion on radio and YouTube, and the same song Mariah has recorded so brilliant would've been appreciated just because they are ruling the charts now. That to me is pretty sad. Charts might not be a priority amongst fans now, because we just want some music from her, but I wish she still would've put more effort into her videos (not particularly dancing) with story-lines, so she could also throw in her acting skills. In my opinion, the H.A.T.E. U video was such a waste of a beautiful song with such potential for a video. And Betcha Gon Know, might not be "single" material, but it could have a great video if done in duet with R.Kelly!Beautiful was also a big potential, but the video ruined it. It is such a sweet song like Dreamlover, although a bit more sexy, the video could've portrayed more love and less sex! (Thursday 6 February 2014; 12:25)

Matt / Trey Songz (40,968) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Mariah and Trey had amazing vocal chemistry in the Inseperable remix, and I personally would not have a problem if the lead single is with Trey, however I would not want it to be a cover of an old song. This is one of the most anticipated songs of the year, and it can almost be counted as Mariah's official lead single for the new album (since #Beautiful was like almost a year back). So it would be better if the song is a Mariah original. About a week left. I won't lie, I am a bit worried since Mariah is not even talking about the song. The only two times she mentioned it was the NYE concert and then a small line at the end of her charity post. After that she gave multiple posts about the charity but none about the song. How would you all feel if she releases 2 songs on Valentine's day? A dance/party themed one and another ballad. Complete with 2 videos. (Thursday 6 February 2014; 11:16)

Since the first vision (40,967) by Haiji from USA Hello lambs, fans and all others. My name is Haiji, from south Florida, and I am new to this message board. I really enjoy reading all the wonderful opinions and new ideas supporting Mariah and her body of work. In my opinion and ideas, I personally don't care when she releases the album as long as she continues to release songs until ready. I know the finished project will be A++. I would love to see her playing more diverse roles in movies or even in tv. She's beautiful no matter what she wears or style or color of hair she has. At the end of the day, she's remembered for her voice. When you're a singer since 4 years old and professional singer for 26 years, your voice will never be the same. I would love for her to remake "Anniversay" by Tony! Toni! Toné!. For those who dont already know, she never has birthdays, they're called anniversaries. I can imagine her "tone" and adlibs. I think it's a bold choice and could work out. It could be a love banger. I think they could make a Journey cover sound good together (Who's Crying Now) but that's just me. Stephen (40,965) by Will from England I've been thinking this for a while as well. She's recorded so many songs for this one project, it would seem such a shame that a lot of them will go to waste and that we'll never hear them. And also, referring to what she said during WWHL (I think?) about how if this were her last album, that she wants people to hear it the way she wants people to hear it. Choreography / double album / fav 2000s album (40,964) by Austin from USA I agree with some posts, Mariah doesn't do choreography well. She definitely has rhythm, but she can't dance. She doesn't need to anyway, her voice is the entertainment. I would love to get a double album. She should have more than enough material for one. They should be released together, like I Am by Beyonce. If they're released separately, like Justin Timberlake's latest, the second half may not do well. My favorite "Valentine" song by Mimi is Underneath The Stars. It's a classic. My fav 2000s album is definitely Memoirs. I agree though, Glitter is very underrated. (Wednesday 5 February 2014; 22:03)

She's been working on the album since 1902 and there have been numerous collabos mentioned, perhaps too many for one album. It leads me to suspect that there may be a double album on the horizon.
