Promotion (41,434) by Licia from USA
At least no one can say that she's not promoting her song. She's got an interview with DJ Suss and another radio interview on Thursday. Not sure when the Suss one will air. She's trying to get the song out there. I give her credit on that. Some people want to make it seem like she's just sitting at home playing hide and seek with Roc and Roe, but she's trying. Hopefully more tv interviews like Ellen and The View will follow. Like I said, as long as she releases the album on the date she said, I'm cool. She seems pretty serious with this date.

You're Mine (41,433) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I disagree with anyone who says that it's a low quality song, or whatever. I loved it from the very first time I heard it. There have been many times when I needed to let a song grow on me after listening to it repeatedly, but this one pleased me from the start. I think most lambs also loved it, and I can say for a fact that many non-lambs loved it too. I made some non-lambs listen to it, and from the start they liked it, whereas non-lambs are usually critical of Mariah's style. A lot of people posted similar experiences with non-lambs when they made them hear the song. So no this song was good enough. Why it's not selling as much as it should is a mystery, but I would say this is my favorite single off this era so far.

Album pushed back (41,432) by Randy from USA
What scares me the most is that with the mainstream ignoring You're Mine is that the album will be pushed back. I don't care about #1s. I'm just tired of not having new material from MC. And with the current state of music, no label takes chances. If this single flops, and I know a lot of you say it's too early to tell, the album will be pushed back or shelved. Then what happens? And let me say this. A radio date means nothing if radio decides not to play it or if the general public does not adore it. As fans, we obsess over these things. It's the masses that make it happen and no one I know is talking about this song. All the articles I read on the internet mention the song along with her breasts, Idol, dem babies, Ariana Grande etc. I don't feel good about this at all. I just want the album on time regardless of the success of You're Mine.

Edward (41,431) by Paul from Usa
I have to disagree with your statement to Stephen about "You're Mine (Eternal)": "I think this is a good song, but many people are judging it based on chart success and not on quality." It's not a quality song. It sounds bad, nothing special lyrically or creative to it. Sounds like it was pieced together really quickly. I've read numerous posts stating this here and on YouTube. And the video is terrible, I don't think it helps the livelihood of the song. I also wouldn't compare this song to WBT. The song was creative. A vocally exciting song. Mariah sang her heart out on that track, and the video was "stellar". My two cents.

Mariah on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon (41,430) by Paul from Usa
She came out and paid her debt with many others who lost a bet that Jimmy would never host The Tonight Show. Enjoy.

At this point (41,429) by Licia from USA
All I want is an album with good music. I could care less if the new song goes to number 1. If it does fine, but if not that doesn't mean it's not a good song. It just means the general public had no idea what good music is. Lol.

Lamb O Chop (41,428) by Blake from USA
I literally lol at your post because of the whackjob and the baby please. Yes I agree JLo can't chart even with 30 million fans on Facebook, but the public likes her, despite her boy toys. My mom refers to MC as a whackjob and I think she does it out of love, but I kinda agree with her, but she knows at the end of the day MC ruls. "Please baby baby please" is stuck in my head from Tone Loc's wild thing. Thanks a lot lamb. Lol.

Flop? No (41,426) by Will from England
For the people saying that "You're Mine" is already a flop (somehow after only, what, three days?), let me ask you this: how long did it take for WBT to climb the charts? How long did WBT take for it to get some recognition? It debuted at #81 on the Hot 100. It didn't start out high on the charts. And look at what it became. I think people are jumping the gun a bit here. I don't expect it to debut high on the charts, but that does not mean at all that it's the end of it.

J.Lo? Baby please (41,425) by Lamb_O_Chop from Australia
30 million followers yet she's struggling to chart herself. J.Lo with her changing of men like underwear and trying to milk/use every market just to be relevant (blacks for music, whites for movies, then back to Latina when it's conveniant ) should never be compared to Mariah in a more than way. Atleast Mariah is real, "nutcase" or not. I'll take her over that industry bleep any day. As for her image everyone is constantly trying to be sexy in their own right: Beyonce, Rihanna, J.Lo, Madonna, Janet, Miley Cyrus, even Aretha tried to show her girls from time to time , so if MC want to rock out with the twins out, then why should she be given flack. Hell she definitely does it with more class than half of the names mentioned anyway. I say MC should just drop some undeniable music, and peace out for good and enjoy her family. Folks will never be pleased, no matter what she did. She can't win for losing I tell you.

Idol (41,424) by Paul D from USA
I wonder if Mariah is going to promote the new album on Idol. May 6 is around the time of the live shows. Of course I don't watch the show, and I only did last year because she was on it. If she did, she'd likely pre-tape it like last year, and it would prevent any awkward "having to perform in front of JLo" thing.

Single and her reputation (41,423) by Blake from USA
I am giving Mariah's team the benefit of the doubt, but I do think if it takes off at radio, she has a promising single. Her reputation on the other hand I do not agree with. I have watched the interviews and barely could because of the ego, diva hair whipped back and can't hold a normal conversation over her bubble that she lives in. But that being said, I will never stop supporting her career. I just wanted to mention that JLo definitely used Idol to her advantage. She has the talent of a monkey swinging on a rope in the jungle but she does have 30 million followers. My point is, she doesn't come off as a nutcase whackjob. She is humble. Reading Mariah talk about how she just prayed she would get through her performance laying on the piano at the BET Honors with that betty boo dress. Think about that people. Why wear it in the first place? Take the performance serious. And thumbs down, go, go, go, thank you.

A sell out or an artist with integrity? (41,422) by Edward from USA
Mariah doesn't want to be a sell out by compromising her music and artistry. No matter what type of music she ventures in, she'll always sound like Mariah Carey; it is her sound and signature. YME sounds fresh, but her vocals are reminiscent of her Daydream days. I rather she puts out a concept album with great music a la Butterfly, than a collection of singles a la E=MC2. I've sequenced a playlist in the following order: You're Mine (Eternal), #Beautiful, Almost Home, The Art Of Letting Go, and they all sound amazing and cohesive together. I know "Almost Home" won't be on the album, but it is different from any other track she's recorded. The status of her success these days doesn't dependent on the quality of her music, but in her popularity, and we know she isn't that popular anymore. Had Rihanna put out "Almost Home", it would've been a hit, and we all know it. We need to let go of the idea that she'll hit #1 with every single so we could avoid having a heart attack. It is difficult at her age, but not impossible. So, let's just support her, leave the window open to the possibility, and enjoy the music. I want to feel the rush of seeing her on top again, but I rather have a well written produced track over a trashy one to comply with the current trends.

You're mine (41,421) by Jenny from USA
I can't wait for the single to be added to mainstream radio Tuesday. Everyone that I've played the song for loves it. Once it gains traction on airplay, I think it's going to be a huge hit for Mariah.

Carlos / dem babies (41,420) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
It's just wishful thinking dahlin'. Because a lot of big names are collaborating, like Bey and Shakira, RiRi and Shakira, Britney also collaborated with Madonna long time back and even recently I think she collaborated. So yes, although it's never going to happen. There were rumors about a promised Mariah-Janet duet when JD was dating her but that never happened. She can always just do an easy dance song. Ah well let's see what she has in stock. Moving on, I wonder how Mariah has featured dem babies on a track. I hope it's something different than what has already been done.

I can't believe it (41,419) by OGmattyICE from US
Everyone just shut the hell up about the new single. Instead of rambling about how unsuccessful it's gonna be, just wait until it charts on Billboard and then talk. It hasn't even been here a week and you all are tripping out. Wait until it charts, then talk. But for now, just shut up and support it instead of whining like a bunch of toddlers. It makes no sense to me.

MC will never sing with a female (41,418) by Carlos Jaramillo from USA
You guys. I think Mariah will never sing with another female singer, especially all the greats you guys have mentioned, because then she would have to sing that song "live" with them. Mariah is still incomparable when it comes to studio singing, but singing live has become a bit of a challenge for her. She would not go through the embarrassment of a flat/sharp note with another charting female presence on stage.

Dance mixes (41,417) by Carlos Belizário from Brazil
Does anyone know about the dance remixes? Are they going to be available on iTunes? It seems that it could really work given the dubstep/EDM moment that we're in. Especially the Jump Smokers Mix. Reminds me of something related to Avicii or Calvin Harris, but better.

Stuck? 2.0 (41,416) by R&B Junkie from Poland
And there's that yet infamous Almost Home. It's vibe is totally different from her previously released material. And what about It's A Wrap, Cruise Control or Skydiving? They're also different. You're Mine is not a copy of We Belong Together, that's a horrible undestatement. It's like For The Record mixed with H.A.T.E.U. with some elements of Candy Bling (remix) and Undereath The Stars. And this mixture makes it fresh and classy at the same time.

#19 You're Mine (41,415) by jumpingjack00 from Philippines
I am excited for the song. I did wish for a better video, but I kind of expected what a typical Mariah video will look like. I am happy Mariah is doing her best to promote the song. It is up to the masses if this will be a hit or not. Let us do our part by voting, requesting and downloading the song.

Stuck? (41,414) by Lamb_O_Chop from Australia
"#Beautiful" sound totally different from anything she's ever done in the past, "TAOLG" was different from former ballads (with its spoken words feel), "You're Mine" has a typical Mariah sound but even that sounds refreshing. And if we want to dig deeper, "Obsessed" was totally different. "Betcha Gon Know" was totally different. Sorry buddy, but I'm not seeing how she's "stuck". Maybe you just aren't feeling her new sound/music and that's fine, but she has experimented with fresh sounds and worked with new producers. We haven't even heard this album yet, so how can you say she's not talking about anything different or is uninspired? I think if some of you actually listened to the MTV interview instead of being comsumed with judging and criticizing her, you would've caught when she told Sway that she's experienced so much over the past four years and she wanted to make sure this album reflected her growth. See, she actually made sense, I guess she wasn't so drunk after all.

Mc and Bey (41,413) by Darryle from USA
I think it would be cool if they worked together. but I personally would love for Mariah to work with Rihanna. I think Rihanna is really edge and popular so the song would go far. But of course that won't happen because Mariah only works with guys or female rappers.

Alexis (41,412) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I am doing the same. I have both versions on repeat. And around the beginning I wasn't really feeling the Trey remix, but now I love it. Since the day it came out, these two versions are the only tracks I am listening to, so maybe my condition is a little worse than yours lol.

MC and Bey (41,411) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I want Mariah to do a song with Beyonce. That would be huge. I don't think Mariah will be interested in working with any other female singer who came after her due to ego clashes, but she seems to somewhat like Beyonce (whether it's just for Jay-Z's sake or genuinely, I dont know). But I think they can come up with a cool women empowerment themed song or just a catchy club song. In other news, Beyonce seems to be doing everything possible to push her song Drunk In Love (which I personally liked) to #1. Even if it means adding Kanye's ridiculously inappropriate rap in a song which firstly already has her husband Jay Z and secondly Kanye's verse seems so random that he just suddenly starts off the song with explicit details about his intimate moments with Kim (bound 2 part 2 much?). I'm like what's the need to add a third person to a song which is about Bey and Jay? Thank God for Mariah and her sensible songs. Also please don't give up on You're Mine, it has just been 4 days. Obviously Mariah won't let it fade away, it is an official single and she has been very clear about it. She may have some strategies planned out, give it time.

Mariah is stuck (41,409) by jaker20 from US
Over the last 4 years or so I have posted similar message to this, and the my point hasn't really changed, i.e. Mariah is stuck. She is not growing or changing anymore. And if the artist is not changing or growing, you can't really expect to gain new fans, or old fans to stay with you. The fans have moved on, grown, got smarter, changed tastes. MC did not. Here she is again singing lyrics that seem taken from two decades ago, sounding like she did in many of her songs, and a video that looks very much like she did in the past, very sexy, sensual, looking beautiful. The only difference is she is slightly older now. Where is the artistry and creativity that she's talking about in American Idol? Where are the clever lyrics she did in TEOM? She needs to collaborate, learn from other artists, experiment new sounds and genre, and become a respected artist. The sameness is her songs, style, and the loopy overtly sexy image is very tiring. She has nothing new to say in her songs, no new experiences to share on her lyrics. MC is stuck and can't move forward. She's giving us throwaway songs, because she's in family mode. We all have to work, we all have families. Which is fine and dandy. Just don't expect all "lambs" are going to bite the same shtick.
