Thank you for the suggestion to watch the interview with Walter. It took some finding but it was definitely worth it. I have never heard him talk about that era before in person and it just shows how having two sides of a story can really give you a complete picture. I would love for them to work together again. I can't believe that the My All we hear is actually an unfinished version. But i agree that Whenever You Call would sound amazing with the missing strings sections. I can almost hear where they should be as I listen to it. I just wish the DJs would stop talking over Walter, there were many times when he was about to say something insightful and they cut him off.

The Pauly Monk interview (39,465)
by Chicago Lamb from USA
| |
|
|
Walter states the last time he and Mariah worked was during Butterfly era and that "Lead the way" was written before then. I wish he was more specific on that, but anyway the reason for my post is even if he did recently work with Mariah (on a rumored duet with Stevie Wonder), he probably would we obligated not to talk about it. Therefore he'd have to lie and not "spoil" the surprise. Let's hope so.

I watched the interview this morning and I too found it quite clear that he regrets the fight that he and Mariah had all those years ago. At least he clearly illustrates what caused the fight in the first place. For a while, I always thought that it was a creative difference, but now I understand a bit better I think. It was also surprising to me that he considers Butterfly to be unfinished, but I can understand where he's coming from on that front. It was also nice to hear that the rumours of him and Mariah possibly working together on Memoirs turned out to be true, it's just a shame that that never worked out. I hope they reconcile at some point in either of their lives, because what they created together in the studio was nothing short of magical.

Funny... (39,463)
by Dani from USA
| |
|
|
I think it's funny how anyone can think that Mariah and her team are scheming or conniving in any way. I honestly don't even think she has the energy for that or to even tolerate it. People seem to forget that she's a wife and mother now. That changes the game, honestly, and I'm sure that's what she's channeling most of her attention to... and not publicity stunts. She's not single and 25 anymore, so she needs more time to do her thing. I would just keep it at that.

You need to hear this interview. Walter talks quite extensively about Mariah and she comes in and out of the interview throughout. I found it extremely interesting when he said that to him "Butterfly" (the album) is an unfinished record, with string parts missing, particularly in "Whenever You Call", which was his favorite. He refers to the infamous fight he and Mariah had and it is quite moving to see the regret that is still there. He also addresses the rumors of them working together again and apparently Randy Jackson had something to do with that. Just many interesting stuff. Check it out.

MC's Letter (39,461)
by Lainsky from Philippines

I am so happy as a fan to read this letter from her. It show's who she really is as a person and then as an artist. She's human too you know so to those thinking negatively about the album delay and got tired of waiting. There you have it. She has her reasons and for me they are more than acceptable. It's real because she's real. Thanks Mariah! We love you.

That made me laugh. Oh and for your information, I work as a nurse. You do know that when it comes to patients (especially rich ones), hospitals will lie/seal. Those patients' records, if they request it, they are not allowed to let any of the press know of anything.

You claim to know alot no one else knows, but you don't want to reveal your sources. You make it look like you're very close to her, when in fact you're just making things up. No, you're "not a delusional fan", you're just an idiot. Oops, I just broke one of my own rules.

People (39,452)

People condemn me for the statement given, it's not even a shocker anymore lambs. I've said it here before and I even posted before that a formal message regarding her works and "accident message" will surface months before Christmas and guess what? It happened. You all asking my sources? You think I am desperate to lay it all here? My intention writing here is not to bash Mimi, but to tell the fans what's going on. You may know Mariah as an artist, but you don't know her and her team. You don't know difficult it is to survive in showbusiness for decades, not even her colleagues manage to survive. You think she doesn't need any publicity because she is Mariah Carey? That's what the old folks thought so, but wake up, this is 2013.

Carried away (39,451)
by Joe from United Kingdom
| |
|
|
As I've said before, some fans can get abit carried away. There's kind of a line between fan and talking like you are related to or work for Mariah. It's not even really the talk of the injury that baffles me, it's the fact that it's said like you are part of her work team. I understand saying you think something, but it's written like you know exactly what her every next move is. This is not the first time and it won't be the last.

I'm shocked that that last message was allowed to be posted here. Bottom line, now Mariah is being accused of faking the seriousness of an injury as a way to "get attention" and strong arm her label into "getting what she wants"? I don't really know what to say. Not suggesting MC is perfect by any means, but to me this crosses a line into bashing territory. Quite frankly, it's very disturbing.

Are you for real? (39,448)
by Carol from Spain
| |
|
|
Let me see if i get this right. Some so called fans think Mariah's injury was a publicity stunt? Or worse, you think it didn't happen? Are some of you for real? Do you guys believe Mariah would go that far and endure slings, pain and God knows whatever for publicity? And I'm the one who gets booed for calling some of you posers. We all know Mariah is very cautious with her image, but she never stood there and said "Feel sorry for me and buy my album", simply because she doesn't need it. Whatever is coming, it's big, we all can predict that. Now, if it will sell, it will depend on the market, the promotion and, most importantly the fans. Instead of writting rubbish about if her injury was or not this or that, why don't some of you focus on the new music she's done and will show us soon (I hope)? It would be alot more productive. I was upset that she postponed the album, but she is a grown woman and she knows what she's doing. As fans, lambs or whatever, we should support and wait, hoping always for a killer album. I believe in Mariah, always have and always will.

You seem to be very convinced by what you're saying: what are your sources? Do you work for Mariah? Do you have some form of remote controlled fly that has recorded everything? You've made some, in my opinion, big statements without supporting evidence. I'd like to see what you've got to make you so bold to make those statements. Who are your "legit sources"?

I've said it before and yeah I will repeat that here. Mariah is one of the music industries legends, business woman, and a player. Her team and new management are creating the recent "noise" about her, this is in preparation for the attention they needed for her. May it be a good or a bad news, it's still food for the press and for the people to talk about. She is done editing her current album now, and is ready to rock the Christmas season and use it as the promotional days for her to drop the album. As you can notice, she's done it this year, the AI, the feud with NM were part of the press noise they created for her, then supposed to be Summer album. When she coudn't compromise with Island people, she hold her album back and used the so called accident as an "break" in which the accident no one really knows how legit it was as the hospital mentioned on the news paper don't really have the records of her admittance. When press tried to investigate her so-called injury, her team said, she was discharged less than 24 hours and moved to her house for private doctors. (If you believe the news then so be it, I know the truth.) She's done these hillarious news so many times, remember how she played with the media about her weight loss program in response to her "liposuction" issues during her E=MC2 era? Lol and the Eminem and Christina feud? Lmao again to clarify: During those healing months, she arranged meetings with Island and ranted, and eventually changed her management team which is now being headed by JD. The album until now is not sure will be release under Island or Sony. It could still be under Island because she still has an existing one album on contract with them, which may lead to a lawsuit if she breaches it. Or she can move to Sony with the supervision of L.A Reid. (Now holding a high position under Sony Music.) Lets see what else is there Mariah and her team is cooking attention for us. An accident, JD, divorce, cleavage tweet, Im waiting. We're all waiting, since she's back being active in the social media again. Lets just support her. Im a fan, but I got my legit sources with all these infos, and again I'm not a delusional fan. Mariah doesn't care about her reputation as her old management thinks that her talents and achievements can back her up. But the social world is different now, so good luck to all of us lambs.

I like Mariah's little note to the lambily explaining what's going on. It's now more clear to me exactly how bad the injuries were. And considering how the expected time for her to heal fully was predicted to be eight months, and that she's doing really well after three, I think is very good news indeed. I think even she's more than ready to release the album now.

Mariah featuring Roc (39,442)
by Manny from U.S.

I also got the impression Roc will be "featured" in one of Mariah's song from her letter. That would be so cute. I wonder if Monroe will also be on it. Reminds me of Whitney Houston's "My Love is Your Love" featuring Bobbi Christina. She says "sing mommy" in the beginning and sings "clap un your hands" at the end. I rewind those parts because it's cute. I am glad Mariah is doing much better. I've hard dislocating a shoulder is hell. Mariah, I love you girl.

I'm pumped and ready to rumble. This message made me scream (literally) and now I'm even more eager for the album. Mariah always makes us wait for a reason and she never disapoints. Apparently the twins will feature in the songs. Stars in the making. I don't know what we have in the future, but I think Mariah will rule the charts during the beginning of the year. Welcome back Mimi (eventually).

People who are cheating, and "headed for divorce", don't engage is silly, obviously staged "fights" for MTV, or tweet cleavage photos in honour of their husband's birthday. It may not be something I would do, but if she's comfortable with it, so be it. Tabloids are such garbage. Seriously?

I didn't know about the tweet. I also just remembered that he had commented on "Daydream" and "Glitter". Here's his exact comments: "Daydream is one of my most played records. People need to reinvestigate Glitter. I'm settled enough in my masculinity to say I don't see anything wrong with Glitter."
