Chart question (101,618) by Edward from USA
Remember that during the 90's they were heavily invested in getting people to buying albums, because singles would usually cannibalize album sales, that's why "Can't Let Go" never made to #1. The rules were also different then. Many songs were #1 on airplay, but since they weren't commercially available as physical singles, they were not allowed to chart. AIWFCIY has benefited from such the rule change for four years now, and it will eventually claim the record as the song with moths weeks at #1 in about three more years if it keeps scoring at least 3 weeks at #1 per year.

Chart question (101,617) by Bobby A from United States
Does anyone remember Columbia's marketing and chart strategy in 1995-1997 to cause Fantasy, One Sweet Day, and Honey to debut at #1 on Hot 100? It had to be more than radio airplay and physical sales. I think back then that new singles were released to radio and retailers on Tuesday. MC only did it during that time only. Butterfly could have done the same thing, but Tommy must have pulled all Butterfly marketing money to lessen the shine on the song's poignant message and lyrics that made him not too happy about his wife breaking free from him.

Mariah on Jimmy Fallon (101,616) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
I just watched the interview. This is MC on the very top of her interview game. Gorgeous, engaged, hilarious, personable, and so loveable. It's been a moment since she's done the full talk show circuit, I'd love for that to happen again. The View, Kelly & Ryan, The Drew Barrymore show, Tamron Hall, the late nights etc.

I'm happy to see Swift block Rhianna's new single from number one. Keep up the good work.

Appreciation for "Bring on the Heartache" [sic] (101,613) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Absolutely. The song is outstanding. It sticks out from "Chatmbracelet". For me a surprising but still classic Mariah song at it's best. I always say I need a Mariah jazz album (still do) but I would also take a "80ies style rock album". Mariah's look and tribute to "The Rose" were wonderful. She looks so pretty with Boho-style.

Mariah wearing pants at the premiere of "Spirited" (101,612) by Carlos from Brazil
I love the pants. Made her look younger. She looks stunning this season. I also love the mini dress or mini skirt she wore on the streets with Tanaka by her side.

Appreciation for "Bring on the Heartache" [sic] (101,611) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
This cover (Bring on the Heartache [sic]) needs way more love then it ever gets. The interpretation of this song, the video, the cloths, style and head scarf, the build up, the full belts, the whistle note, the electric guitar. This is what Rock-Riah looks and sounds like. I feel like it gets lost in the mix (no pun intended, Mix-ish) for some reason. What if this was the lead single from Charmbracelet instead of TTR?. This song makes a statement, and gives me all the tingles and feels. I’d love if Mariah did an ‘80’s style rock album like this. Give us raspy, give us pain, give us Boho fashion and the big hair dahling.

Mariah Carey - Walmart range (101,608) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
What's the "Walmart" collection by Mariah? Sorry, I live in Canada where Walmart isn't really a thing unless you want a cheap dressers, toilet paper in bulk or canned soup. You also have to drive at least 15 km from the city to find a Walmart. (This is absolutely no shade to Mariah, or Walmart shoppers. I'm just confused what these collections are.) My dream is that's it's a vinyl, a second vinyl, a perfume, a concert T and finally a stream of "Glitter" for all those Gez's that get it but at the same time don't.

One Child rehearsal (101,604) by MC1989 from Spain
I just saw the clip from Mariah's rehearsal of "One Child" live in Washington in 2010. Wow. This was one of the last times Mariah went for really powerful high belted notes live. What a a treasure she is.

She looked stunning and I appreciate that she didn't go off tangent too much. I adored her part of reading the book. Her speaking voice is like honey and I can hear her read the off a telephone book haha since she has such a soothing voice. I cracked up at the parrot voice. The skit was cute too.

Mariah looked very happy on Jimmy Fallon. I wish she'd stop playing with her hair, hers being disputable. I loved the way she read the book and I thought she looked beautiful, especially in the bunk bed skit.

Mariah's own big budget Christmas movie (101,597) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia
Now that Mariah has cemented her name and brand for Christmas season (#1 song, books, legacy) don't you guys think Mariah should invest in her own big budget blockbuster Christmas movie, the movie where people would tune in to every Christmas, like Home Alone, Love Actually, The Grinch. I'm not talking about that low budget Hallmark movie, Christmas Melody, that Mariah acted and produced, I want a big budget movie where Mariah and A-list actor as romantic interest, maybe Dwayne, Ryan Reynolds etc.

It's that kind of documentary where there are parts dramatized by actors. I think they call it "docudrama"? Anyway, it used to be on YouTube, but now I can't find it. You can read more info on IMDB. It has a better score than Glitter, lol. 6,8 is not bad at all.
