Caution tidbits (86,072) by Robert-Anthony from United States
1. Portrait sounds like it could fit perfectly in a movie scene. It is the song MC was referring to that she needed to finish with Daniel Moore during her last visit on the Jimmy Kimmel show.

2. 8th Grade has Aaliyah written all over it. She could have easily recorded it in 1997. I love the Timbaland ad libs and breakdown near the end of the song. Pure perfection and so Timbaland when he says "C'mon MC" and "Baby Girl" - Aaliyah tribute for sure

3. Stay Long Love You - Why does this song sound like Things That You Do with Jay Z? I am not feeling Gunna's contribution. Drake could have given more life to the song and the production.

4. I wonder why not one JD/BMC/JA aggressive track. I am kind of bombed about that.

5. This is the first MC album where each song is co-produced by a different producer.

6. Multiple songwriters on each song. All of them give her a fresh sound and arrangement.

7. I wish more Nineteen85 tracks had made the album. His production style is Hot. Hopefully more is coming with a part 2.

8. GTFO video cinematography is just like one of the videos of Nineteen85's group Dvsn. Check out the video for the song Mood.

9. I hope part 2 is coming next year when the tour kicks off.

10. Caution shows that MC can work with any producer of any genre of music and craft a great song. I would have never thought of her working with Lido, Wondur Girl and Skillrex in a million years. Just think what masterpiece she could come up with if she worked with Max Martin, Greg Kurstin, Ryan Tedder, Ashley Gorley, and other pop country songwriters.

11. Now I understand why we only received 10 songs. MC is making a statement of being relevant and a genius. Cohesiveness was the goal of Caution.

12. Giving Me Life sounds like another MC song other than The Roof. I can't put my finger on it right now. Somebody help me. But I love the song and the production.

Re: Genius Level interview (86,067) (86,071) by Billy from Greece
Amazing interview. I'm so happy to see her so relaxed and interacting with the fans and acknowledging the fan faves. A special moment for sure. I definitely got teary eyed when they were talking about "Outside". Mariah has actually reached a point in her life that she has somehow reconciled with the past and is finally more open to say it like it is, the good and the bad. Everything feels like it should feel with the "Caution" era. It really has added so much positivity lately.

Re: Caution reviews (86,048) and excitement (86,069) by enwar00 from usa
I agree, so far I skimmed but will go back and read through more thoroughly as I sit down and immerse myself in the album on repeat no doubt. It's always a breath of fresh air to come on this board and hear people's thoughts on a new album, appearances, etc., positive or negative, and feel the overall excitement. Hopefully we can ride this current wave of energy for awhile before going back to beating a dead horse, insults, and negative for the sake of negative posts.

Even the thought that that sleazy snake and offspring have stolen the demo tape makes me want to bitch-slap the hell out of them.

I've been steaming the album nonstop on Spotify on my tablet and watching the YouTube videos on my laptop. This album deserves to debut at the #1 spot on the Billboard 200.

Caution (86,061) by B from USA
On Caution Mariah seamlessly updates her signature sound without sounding desperate. Caution is a great fall/winter album. I give it 4 out of 5 lamb emojis. Since I've already expressed my opinions on GTFO, With You, The Distance, and A No No I'll give my opinion on the rest of the album.

Giving Me Life is my favorite. It gives me life. Portrait is an introspective ballad that gives us a glimpse of the woman often obscured by the image/diva persona and I love it. 8th Grade gives me a nostalgic feeling and makes me reminisce about my first love. One Mo' Gen' is reminiscent of Babydoll. It might just be Mariah's most overtly sexual song ever. Caution is infectious if a tad repetitive but Mariah's rapid fire vocal delivery keep the song from stagnating.
Stay Long Love You is as hot as mama's cookin' in the kitchen during summer.

Importance of streaming (86,060) by RJJ12 from USA
Hello Lambs. Please make sure you stream the album on any streaming formats on top of buying the album. Legacy artists struggle with streaming such as Mariah as most of fans are accustomed to buying the album. Billboard now includes streams in the Billboard 200 calculations. That's why these new artists tend to not have as many actual sales as the younger generation tends to prefer streaming. Babs who normally ends up with a #1 album with each release scored a #12 with her 2018 release in comparison to 2016 and 2014. So if you can, read the article and stream the album and just lower (don't mute) the volume.

Seriously. I thought she tweeted that it's Runaway. This is going to turn into another All Alone In Love. That's not what it's called. Irregardless if that's how she referred to it.

Giving Me Life (86,057) by MusicfanJ from Germany
This song will get played a lot for the next days. The dark mood somehow totally gets me. When I thought it would end, that guitar started and the end with her whispery in the background. Magical song. I have so many pictures on my mind while listening. The Norma Jean reference suits perfect. I also start to enjoy "One mo gen".

Re: Caution lyrics (86,054) (86,056) by enwar00 from usa
I got scared there would be no lyrics again. But I just unwrapped and there are. I'm excited to sit down and listen to the CD while reading the lyrics in the booklet. I already looked at GTFO and there's lyrics that I was wrong on. Someone mentioned they're not able to distinguish her lyrics as much as they used to, and I will say yes I agree.

Thanks you so much for posting this. I had no idea where or how I'd be able to watch it but I'm very interested in it. Meanwhile I just grabbed Caution out the mailbox and I'm about to take my first ride with it.

Caution lyrics (86,054) by RibbonB from USA
I looked up the lyrics until I buy the physical copy later today. I don't like the song Portrait, but appreciate the lyrics. Have not heard Runway, but the lyrics are particularly poignant. I love 8th Grade and the lyrics, vocals and music are exceptionally matched. The makings of a timeless, yet current song.

Genius interview (86,051) by Jono from USA
Here is the full interview. Best interview of hers in a long time. The hour flew by. And even though the interviewer went deeper with album cuts and fan favorites, it still felt like they were only able to touch on maybe 20% of her work. That's how astonishingly huge this woman's catalog is. .Listen, I would watch an hour long Genius interview for each one of her albums.

Caution - it is fun (86,049) by May from Denmark
After listening to the new songs and then the whole album again I have to say that I really like the album, I enjoy it more than MIAM. I have already listened to some on repeat. My favs are:

Caution (this one is really sweet)
Giving me Life (I have Spotify burning with this one)
With you
GTFO
A No No (it is very catchy)
Portrait
The Distance
The rest do nothing for me and the one I like the least is probably One Mo' Gen.

All in all I'm quite happy with the new album. I can see myself listening to this one a fair amount of times unlike MIAM which I listened full like three times and bye. The melodies are quite modern yet still very Mariah, though her strong belts are no longer there her sweet baby voice, the breathy effect and signature runs are there and I do love her voice, her tone is beautiful and even though there are other good singers out there the sound of their voices are not as nice as Mariah's. I do agree with Edward, if she thinks of a next album she might have to do something about her voice. I heard her latest Emotion version and while she sang very controlled, she couldn't even do smooth runs, belts, or use any high notes other than her whistle register which is alraedy not as high as it used to.

The album is obviously trying to catch a young audience. I would truly like much better though and wholesome lyrics, it's like all of them are vague and missing some sense other than the superficial obviate of what she might refer to, but there is no connection with some of the verses, if you read them without the lyrics they fall a bit flat unlike previous things she has written.
