B, take a chill pill. Nobody was making fun of you for being anything, I don't appreciate your attempt at playing the victim here by even remotely implying I was making fun of you're being bipolar, I wouldn't do such thing. I was poking fun at Eric and at the same time I was making fun of myself with my comment. Do not look for the fifth leg of the cat because he only has four. If you start reading too much into something, you'll go nuts. Peace.

Rainbow (87,725)

I've been loving "Rainbow" a lot lately. This album has always given me the feeling of a "big budget" production. I love the mastering of the record. There is a clarity in sound and in Mariah's vocals that was not present in her previous albums. Jam & Lewis also added a "spaciousness" in the ballads that results in an almost cinematic feel if that makes sense. Despite the aspects that may date it ("X-Girlfriend"), it comes across as a very "comfortable" album for Mariah. I adore the vocals in "Can't Take That Away", particularly the ones in the ending after the bridge. Even though it's only one minute long, "Vulnerability" is one of my favorite Mariah pieces. Same goes for "Rainbow (Interlude)", which I've been singing a lot to myself lately. I want a deluxe edition of this album with all the great remixes included.

Edward, making fun of me for being bipolar because I apologized to for not checking to see if it had already been posted is a new low. I have lost all respect I had for you. No wonder Mariah waited so long to reveal her battle with bipolar II disorder.

Remember this one? I think it's such a gripping nice force somehow in this tune. I believe it's an extraction from a longer dub. Heartbreaker / If You Should Ever Be Lonely (Elijah Extended)

The president of the country where Mariah is a citizen is participating in a shameless coup to overthrow the democratically elected president of a nation from which Mariah has ancestry. We could not dream that Mariah even knows anything about it (I hope that I'm wrong) much less has anything to say either way. So, of course she will perform for the human rights violators' model nation, Saudi Arabia. And of course she will perform for the nuclear apartheid state of Israel - without caveats.
This is her flaw as a public figure. I am just glad she stopped singing songs like "There's Got to Be a Way" and "Make it Happen" because that individualistic, personal striving, and dreaming your way out of the troubles of the world schtick simply doesn't make any sense in a world where superpowers trade state-of-the-art killing machines with no strings attached for trillions of dollars annually.
I wish Mariah was deeper but to be honest - unlike most Hollywood liberals - Mariah ain't never lied to us about her politics.

Why just why? Aren't there other countries/companies who are willing to book her for an event. The Caribbean makes sense after Christmas (who wouldn't love to be there) but Saudi-Arabia? If she would perform in Dubai fine, but Saudi-Arabia? Just a no no.

Just my 2 cents. I'm a little shocked anybody would believe half this stuff coming from the scream team. We know Mariah's not walking around naked, she's been complaining since 2012 she can't take a bath without that one-sy bodysuit on. She was on Ellen a couple years ago and complained she never takes off her bodysuit because people are always walking into her bedroom and bathroom unannounced.
Lianna and Stella are a real piece of work and I don't believe a word of those claims. Those two are like two clucking hens on meth. Straight up. If Stella tried to pee on her Lianna would've punched her in the cooter.
I know folks are used to sensationalism, but I doubt half of what you're thinking is true. Based off Mariah's recent revelations, I'd bet anything those tapes show Mariah in manic and depressed phases with bi-polar. Maybe even crying talking about dark times from her past. People have a right to privacy and it's nobody's business. Being trusting is rare and not very rampant today. It's not right to dis her for that. She's willing to give newbies a shot for a dream and give people a chance when others won't. Like everything else: with sweets, come the sour. They took advantage, now MC's cracking heads.

Agree. I don't get what's despicable either. KSA (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) is the official name of Saudi Arabia. One can refer to Saudi Arabia as "the Kingdom", much like one can refer to the US as "the States" in regular parlance. She's performing in the country for an event, not for the royalty there.

Not sure what you're talking about. Mariah said the Butterfly music video was based off a dream she had. The only difference was she didn't want show the blood when she hurt her hand on the barbed fence.

Butterfly (87,701)
by Dove from United States

I was watching the Butterfly video and started wondering if the video was based on the movie Butterfly with Pia Zadora. She has the same haircut and wears the same type of nightgown/sexy dress Pia wears in the movie. Also the brown color theme is similar. The movie is about a young, beautiful, and sexy girl who gets it on with an older man who she sees as a father figure she thinks she loves because he offers her security but then at the end she leaves him for a guy her age who she really loves loves.
I know parts of the Butterfly video are supposed to be a parallel to the Vision of Love video, with VOL being what she thought she wanted and envisioned for herself, but then by Butterfly the house is decrepit and she feels trapped inside. Other aspects remind me of the Pia Zadora movie, though.
