Say Something remixes (83,338) by Gilles from Malta
As we are talking about I Still Believe remixes (which are really good), I must say that Say Somethin' remixes So So Def and Morales were excellent as well. Triumphant as well. Can't Take That Away, My All, The Roof Mobb Deep remix, Don't Forget About Us remixes. Anyway there are plenty of excellent remixes that's why they did a double album named the remixes. I like to name this time the MC golden age. [Webmaster: Please, next time use capitals, it saves me a lot of time.]

Article: 5 Best "Vision of Love" performances ranked (83,337) by Seven Of Nine from UK
The best version I've ever heard was on Wogan. She was dressed in a black dress. It is not available anywhere although I have looked.

Fall music 2018 (83,336) by Bobby A from United States
If Mariah does release her 15th studio album this fall, she is going to be competing for album sales with Carrie Underwood, Rihanna, Celine Dion, Britney Spears, Zayn, Ella Mai, Backstreet Boys, Culture Club, Maxwell and many more. It is going to be the biggest fall music release in years. Will we finally see MC15 in the 4th quarter of 2018?

Re: Here's some proof (83,326) (83,335) by Andrew from UK
You wouldn't believe how many of my messages Eric chooses not to publish. It's his website, who am I to argue, you may ask. Except that websites provide a public service and I find censorship within them very strange. Free speech is a precious thing. I can't resolve the conundrum that is the person who appoints themselves the arbiter of what I can and cannot see, absorb, be exposed to. What qualifies anybody to act as such a censor, to decide that your opinions should not be received by me, that you should not receive opinions of mine with which to agree or disagree? Or, in most cases, ignore? I would never appoint such a person in my life because I do not think anyone in the world suitable. I am sure you would not yours. So I cannot be a "know it all". Because somebody here decides that I should only know what he thinks I should know. So when you blab on about how much Eric let's through, give a thought for how much he does not. And if it pleases you that opinions you don't like are silenced, think for a moment of a world in which your own opinions are silenced. Think of a world where you cannot claim to be righteous because you are not exposed to actuality. And tell Eric to go (censor) himself.

I agree. The "I Still Believe" maxi single is thoroughly fulfilling, almost as a stand-alone piece of work.

So sad. Mariah used to do very few concert shows when she had an amazing voice. And now, she can't sing anymore and does extended tours and Vegas residences.

Re: "I Still Believe (Stevie J. Remix)" (83,331) (83,332) by Bill from the UK
I Still Believe has some great remixes. I think the fact the Pure Imagination remix is so brilliant, often means the Stevie J and Morales mixes get overlooked. I’m going to go dig this one out now.

Billy I love that remix. It's different, kinda dark. To be honest when I first got those remixes I hated that one. But it grew on me. I think the I Still Believe maxi single is my favorite one. Lots of variety in the mixes, and I love every one of them.

Is this the remix with Mocha and Amil rapping on it? If so I never could get into that mix. I may have to revisit it since it's been years since I've heard it. I might have played it once or twice back then.

This has to be the most forgotten remix by MC, with re-recorded mind you.

Re: Demi Lovato is a complete idiot (83,322) (83,327) by Tijl from Belgium
Todd, I very much agree with you. Furthermore I believe it simply surpasses a matter of double standards but a major shift in moral that has occurred over the last decade. Whereas beforehand substance abuse if not the regular use of cocaine was considered something belonging to the world of rock stars and Hollywood. These days whenever you hit a nightclub or whichever other venue there is a blatant omnipresent acceptance of drug use. The taboo no longer exists and the "redemption" of silly starlets such as Lovato, Lohan or any other star of that caliber in the media creates further excess among the public that perceives that kind of behavior as glamorous if not the standard.

Re: Album release and title (83,318) (83,325) by Ethan from United States
Thanks for your opinion Andrew. I'm looking forward to it because I believe she deserves a second chance - not counting Glitter - such very unfortunate timing of release and I think most lambs agree it's a great album/soundtrack. Charmbracelet is underrated but it yielded her best tour ever (I think most lambs agree with me on that). To me, the only "failed" album/time is MIAM because it doesn't seem coherent (and other factors of course) but contains several great cuts - #Beautiful, Faded, MILG, and IDKWTD. I'm optimistic about this time around due to better management and it seems like she knew she needs to take a bit more serious. It's just the music business structure on female artists late 30s and over 40s. We will all have to wait and see.

Re: Demi Lovato is a complete idiot (83,317) (83,322) by Todd from Sydney, Australia
What I can not stand is that people are referring to Demi has being "so strong" and "courageous" in her fight against substances. Wrong. It's not glamourous, nor should it be celebrated. Everything she is going through is the direct result of a bad choice she's made at some point. I have a massive weak spot for a cigarette every now and again. Not because of my upbringing/lifestyle/God-plan (lol), but because I tried smoking when I was 16. Also, the double standards here are sickening. 2001: Mariah heads to rehab because she's worked herself into the ground - career basically dead and buried for 5 years. 2018: Twerp woman uses drugs, almost dies, is lauded a hero, and her coincidentally named drivel of a track "Sober" is on constant rotation. I save my sympathy for people that are deserving of it.

My new article about "The Butterfly Returns" (83,320) by Richard from USA
Hey all, I posted my latest blog post and it is about my trip to see Mariah's new residency in Vegas last month. I won't be checking back here often - too many haters and trolls on message boards in the past, but I do think the true fans on here will appreciate it. Enjoy.

Re: Here's some proof (83,303) (83,319) by Andrew from UK
Hold up, you can't really leave it there. For a last two pence worth: you're both not really hearing each other. Mariah has indeed *been* called the "Queen of Petty" (as evidenced) but what I think the poster was objecting to, whilst not wording it properly, and before feelings once again tried to overturn fact, was it being made to sound like Mariah has been, and is still, often referred to, and widely renowned for being, the "Queen of Petty". Which she is not. Were it to be so, I and others would have it in their daily consciousness. So everybody is right. And also wrong. This broadcast is sponsored by the Angel's Advocates, in association with MCA Censorship Board, an EdR Company.

I don't mean to sound on a downer but who is actually caring about when the release of and what it will be? It already feels like another drawn out process with possibly no pot of gold at the end of it. Is anyone excited? No? Thought not.

Re: Demi Lovato is a complete idiot (83,314) (83,316) by Andrew from UK
I posted it on the Mariah Carey Archives messageboard because
1. Demi Tomato has been a total asswipe to Mariah in public for no reason.
2. She is mentioned here often.
3. I am incensed by celebrity culture which determines that some people are victims but some people are poor little lost souls and I am, as some might say, "calling it out".
And finally, 4. Because [censored] that's why. This broadcast was brought to you by the Anti-Bleeding Heart Brigade.

I know the Demi topic isn't Mariahish, if taking drugs is an illness, why doesn't smoking count as an illness?

Re: Demi Lovato is a complete idiot (83,309) (83,314) by Steve from USA
Wow. First off, I'm not sure why you'd post this on a Mariah message board, since it has nothing to do with her. Secondly, what an insensitive statement. I see what people are saying, that we are compassionate with celebrities like Lovato and condemn other addicts. I think we need to move wholesale toward finding ways to help all of these people, rather than move toward wholesale condemnation.
Did every addict make a choice at some point to try the drug that became their issue? Of course. Does everyone who consumes alcohol, or cocaine, or whatever, become an addict? No. Some people are wired differently than others. Some can handle it, and some become hopelessly addicted. In Demi's case, she's got several conditions going on at once - bipolar, bulimia, and the substance issues. She obviously has some deeper issues that manifest themselves in a variety of ways, but we only know what she and her PR team are sharing, and frankly that side of her life is private and none of the public's business. I went back and watched her doc on YouTube, and I think she comes across as well intentioned, and fragile at once. What I think I'm getting at is that we shouldn't be judging anyone for this type of thing, because if someone isn't an addict, then they don't know what a person like Demi, or Whitney, or any number of these high profile people are going through.
