(New York City) Walter will never be apart of MC's creative process again during the creation of Butterfly they had a fallen out and during the divorce from Tommy MC felt he sided with Tommy, because initially Tommy wanted a Daydream sequel for the Butterfly album and MC wanted to go in a more hip hop and R&B direction. I just didn't know where I fitted in with family. Both of my parents rejected me because I wasn't planned. They gave all of their love to my younger sisters while subjecting me to negativity with harsh words and treatment. Music was my saving grace growing up. But right now when it is already June and no first single, I believe she needs him right now to balance the album out. She probably has over 30 tracks dating back to 2016 to 2018. Now she needs that We Belong Together magic to let Jay Z listen for the green light to finalize the new album's tracklisting. Favorite JD tracks : - ABMB - Sweetheart - Slipping Away - Shake it off - You had your chance - My All/Stay Awhile - WBT - DFAU - The One - Love Story - Thanx for nothing Side note : On MIAMTEC, I know many songs were produced with JD but I kind of missed the "JD sound". I get it he wants to show his versatility and is probably encouraged by Mariah. But the most JD sound-like song on the album to me is "You're Mine (Eternal)" and yet it was produced with Rodney Jerkins. For MC's new album I would like her and JD to work together on a few track and go back to the whole "if Jermaine like it, then I like it" vibe, if you know what I mean. That one song that touched your heart instantly and still resonates with you after all these years? Mine will always be "Close My Eyes" with "Petals" in second place. JD hate (82,778) by Sarah from Netherlands Everybody needs to stop hating on JD. You keep saying how you want her to work with new producers, then the album comes around and all the JD-produced tracks become fan favorites. Every time. Album / book (82,775) by Edouard from France Hi guys. I've been thinking lately. What if Mariah were to release a new album and her tell all book at the same time? I wonder if a music artist has ever done that before. It would be a great concept I believe. Also it would allow Mariah to go deeper into her own narrative and create something unique. ILT and WBT was wonderful for her career. He was largely missing from MOIA. And YDKWTD was probably the best single choice on MIAMTEC. They may cook up something fresh. Their pairing is legendary. And MC is practically 50. Why should she work with young fresh hot producers and rappers? Cardi B is literally half her age. I'm not putting her out to pasture but when is she going to ride off into the legendary sunset like Diana Ross, Aretha Franklin and Barbra Streisand did when she came out in 1990? I don't remember them collaborating with rappers. They were still making albums but no one was expecting them to have number ones in an era of Mariah, Whitney, Janet, Celine and Madonna.
