Re: Can someone recap the Memoirs remix saga (76,619) (76,624) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
I honestly wish the remix albums got released. The Jump Smoker's version of "Obsessed" and "Inseparable" were the best version of those songs. I loved UOMF with Nicki and "It's a Wrap" with Mary J. I don't think they would have pulled the plug if they knew Memories was going to be a success compared to MIAM. I like MIAM 100x more, but commercially Memories was the bigger success (168K in the first week vs. 58K). I also appreciated that everyone was telling MC it's time to work with someone other then JD, so she did. I also liked she was stepping into EDM with the Jump Smokers. If they had dropped the original Memories, Angel's Advocate, and MC vs JS all on the same date, I think it would have been a brilliant move (because no one has done that before). This is a weird cork, but it bothers me that her tour for Memories is called "Angel's Advocate" but the Angel's Advocate album was never released. It feels like an incomplete project.

They (the public) don't follow Mariah's career as closely as we do. They didn't know about MIAM, Infinity, Infamous, or I Don't. Most think her last album was TEOM or E=MC2 and the last time they heard about Mariah was either the NYE debacle or the Rockefeller debacle.

Re: Can someone recap the Memoirs remix saga (76,619) (76,622) by B from USA
It was an attempt to create interest in the Memoirs album and capitalize on it. Unfortunately, the remixes were uninspired (copy and paste remixes) and the single second released to promote it did poorly and the album was scrapped. I'm glad it was. I think the Memoirs era was messy and unispired. I think they knew Obsessed was a hit so the rushed and released it.

Why do you love Memoirs? Thanks for the info.

Re: Can someone recap the Memoirs remix saga (76,619) (76,620) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
First of all, I love Memoirs. Secondly they initially planned to release 2 remix albums, one with featured guests and one was a remix album with Jump Smokers. The one with the featured guests was apparently due to making the album appeal to different people by using different artists and at the same time left over tracks from Memoirs sessions like 100% and all would be included in it. However after Memoirs failed to sell well, they scrapped the plan probably because it wasn't worth the money and effort and Mariah instead decided to focus on her next album. Yes, if the remix album was released there would probably have been more videos since the "Angels Cry" video and UOOMF videos were remix versions of the songs which were supposed to be on "Angels Advocate" the remix album. The versions in the video were not the regular album version.

Can someone recap the Memoirs remix saga (76,619) by Alexis Morell Carrington Colby Dexter Rowan from USA
Can someone recap why Angels Advocate and MC vs Jumpsmokers was even created? I know it wasn't released because Memoirs flopped (rightfully so, I dislike that album). What was the plan, were there gonna be videos released? If there were so many remixes, why not make the remix albums the original project?

BET asked on their twitter who should be honored next and overwhelmingly the public chose Mariah. I believe they posted several choices. It was nice to see that the general public believed she should be honored for her work. Her inspirational tracks will never go out of style.

Oh crap I think my last message didn't go through. I was saying they should quickly release the stone groove smash hit "Why You Mad" and promote it as a diss track for Will Ferrell and the cast like "I Don't" was for Packer. It might even chart much higher since Justin is going through his Midas Touch phase. Learn to grab opportunities Stella, if you want to be messy might as well make it worth the while.

They should take this opportunity to release the stone groove smash hit "Why You Mad" and promote it as a diss song for Will Ferell and the cast, like "I Don't" was for Packer. WYM may even chart higher since Justin is going through his Midas Touch phase. Learn to grasp opportunities Stella. If you want to be messy at least do it where it's worth the while.

The MC tribute rumor is untrue. New Edition is getting the lifetime award tribute.

Also she has a show in Azerbaijan in a day or so, so maybe she's vacationing in the area for a bit before plus she shot the makeup commercial in barcelona. Weight-wise I get what you mean but we all know she's been yoyo-ing since 2000. I dont know when she'll feel that next kick to get into shape again like she did for her wedding that never was.

I was probably being mean about the weight. Hell, I'm battling those issues myself. She usually tries to look svelte for tv appearances. But can anyone confirm this? Is there a tribute to her? Do I have to sit through two hours of ghetto fabulous to find out?

Re: BET Awards (76,606) (76,610) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Not a vacation either, she first went to Austria for the singing gig, then she shot something, possible the Premier cosmetics commercial in Barcelona, then she came to Paris where she attended a dinner hosted by Azzedine Alaia where she hung out with Naomi Campbell. She has also been hanging out with the head of Hermes, Michael Scott and she'll be going to Azerbaijan, where she's set to perform for a show in a few days.

I'm still trying to figure out why they so mad? They hired Mariah to play herself and that's exactly what the hell she did.

Using MC name (76,608) by Tyler from USA
I don't care what people say regarding MC being irrelevant but she still draws headlines. This is exactly what this little movie is doing. Why are they keep bringing it up if she isn't even in the movie? Yes, Will Farrell didn't go into details but he could of also requested the interviewer not to bring it up. We don't know the full story but we do know they are putting her down to lift buzz around this movie. Nobody is checking for this movie and most prob haven't even heard of it until MC was brought into conversations. I respect MC for not giving into the drama and super surprised/happy Stella isn't interjecting.

Love the idea of Tamar doing a tribute to MC. Not sure how her weight plays into this though.

BET Awards (76,604) by Randy from USA
I heard a rumor on one of my FB groups that MC is being honored this year and Tamar Braxton is singing a tribute to her. I cannot find anything online that confirms this although Tamar Braxton is a performer. Mariah is currently prancing around Europe for no reason and isn't in the best of shape so I'm really wary of this. Have you guys heard anything?

No I never forget that Mariah is a singer. That's why I'm not happy with the latest choices and so on. But you're right some people might forget that she is.

Re: All this complaining, who will Tommy it? (76,598) (76,602) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I don't think it's true that the lambs are not honest on social media. I mean over the 2 years, Mariah has gotten a lot of comments from fans calling out Stella, and expressing their disappointment over some of Mariah's moves and all but I feel like Mariah has completely detached herself from social media, which is probably good for her health since it's not cute to wake up and see all the rude comments from idiots calling her fat and judging her looks every day. However it detaches her from the world too because now whatever she hears is the filtered version. I'm not even going to entertain the whole "Mariah is a smart woman, she wouldn't be fooled by anyone". I'm not calling Mariah stupid, she's far from that, she's a brilliant artist but she's also a vulnerable person who has this habit of falling into friendships with people who take advantage and this wouldn't be the first intelligent person to be manipulated. Maybe she thinks she's coming off a "rebel, a Rihanna I don't care attitude", but in reality it's looking like a mess. Mariah's whole image was set on class and elegance previously. I'm not taking the blame off Mariah, she is responsible too, but when someone is in a vulnerable state, like she was in 2014, it's easier for people to give them a "false sense of security" and manipulate them.

Re: So much shade, but no substance (76,596) (76,601) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Whoever used the word "abusive" to describe her behavior was honestly just being more dramatic than Mariah. I mean Mariah can be a diva and difficult to handle, and sometimes a little unprofessional but abusive isn't something that I think Mariah would ever be.

Monroe (76,600) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
This picture of Monroe is just stunning. She's such a beauty and looks like a young Mariah. I love that she even has Mariah's husky voice. In a few years Monroe will have the music industry "shook", the rightful "next Mariah" will be taking the throne. Side note Rocky is a cutie too. Beautiful children and I really admire that Mariah always dresses them up in normal kids clothes, I mean obviously they are still designer labels but at least they are not walked around in leather pants and fur coats and all unlike poor North West, who is also another cutie but poor girl is basically already being trained to continue the Kardashian Jenner fashion.
