Question mark? (80,474) by Gilles from Malta Are we allowed to ask for an artist to make what we do expect from him or her? I can't really picture it because it wouldn't be an artist anymore. We all want the best for MC but I do not know If we are counscious about what we are requesting. Anyway hope she doesn't get too much influence from us and just make what she wants to create. New album title (80,470) by Andrew from UK Mariah really should stop making self-referential album titles as it is really overplayed (Butterfly, Mimi, Imperfect Angel, The Elusive Chanteuse) or even trying to force through a story for it where none exists (I don't believe anybody used to call her Mimi on a regular basis, I absolutely would steak money on The Elusive Chanteuse being a something somebody maybe once said to her in passing - in a dream -, and, frankly, nobody saw her with a charmbracelet before or after that album's promotion). And obnoxious is definitely the right word for Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel and Me. I Am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse. What serious non-obsessed straight man is ever going to buy anything that's called anything like that? The Art of Letting Go sounded like a cool concept and was free of self-adulation or blue cheese. She should try down that route again. "The Balance of All Things"/"The Darkness and The Light" and so on. (Thursday 18 January 2018; 21:16)

So I don't think she'd do "Back" or "Return" type theme in her title. I love the idea of going back to her roots tho. My fave suggestions so far are: Long Island Girl Mirage Or What about: Stand. Art, Power, Love. Fact & Fiction. I like the idea of there being a period in the title ah-la Jojo "Mad Love.". It transforms the title into at statement, using subtle punctuation. We generally see what they want us to see even the minimal sharing that she does lately. The majority of time she doesn't want to be seen and takes steps to make sure she isn't. So it stands to reason that when she does want to be seen she takes steps to make that happen and goes to those hot spots and or calls the paps. Whatever. I own this to the fans and I will never forget it." It's time for Mariah to show us and the world why exactly we all fell in love with her as an artist and as a human being. This woman has meant a great deal to me over the last two decades. And some of her more personal songs still resonate with me on a daily basis. I do understand she wants to move on and not necessarily look back on what without a doubt has been a tumultuous life but that lifestory is what made her in the first place. If she steps out of her apt in NYC paparazzi is near by waiting for a photo. I highly doubt she is calling them to let them know where she is going. I would love if she goes back to Long Island and record her album there. Maybe she will get inspired by the days before fame. Back to basics is a great starting theme. Stella and company are definitely not apart of Team MC anymore I can tell you Roc Nation nor people like Steven Hill would deal with Stella and they definitely would not invest in MC with Stella and the circus around. Re: New album title ideas (80,444) (80,452) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines It's best to go with a simple title this time, especially after TEOM, MOAIA and the still unbelievably and ridiculously obnoxious MIAMTEC, I'm not sure the public would be able to handle another verbose title. Maybe go with just "Back" or something more personal like "Ms. Carey" or "Mirage", or since Mariah loves a vocabulary lesson then maybe "Scintillate" or "Chrysalis" (doubtful, though, since Butterfly already exists). Or perhaps try a foreign phrase, such as "Jamais Vu" or "Presque Vu" (two fascinating phenomena) as "Deja Vu" has been used by more artists such as Giorgio Moroder. Just try to keep it short.
