I've always preferred this version. It was the main radio/single version here in the UK.

What would be the point of trying to gain attention with using her name if the scenes with her got cut ?

If that's the loudest you've ever screamed "Yes bitch scream that good word", I have to ask the question: how often are you screaming this?

I love this thanks Edouard. It was filmed I guess during the "Rainbow" era and probably from the Home Coming special. I love this arrangement.

I couldn't have said it better. I'm glad most of us fans don't just take one side of the story and run with it. By now as a Mariah Carey fan, one should know stories are made up and comments blown way outta proportion when it involves Mariah. They want her to fail and fall so bad. Smh, sorry sore losers. Lol.

MC brings down the house (76,578)

I have to admit the diva antics act has become very stale regarding MC. To be honest it seems that the promotion for this movie has been how difficult MC was to work with opposed to discussing the actual film itself. Honestly while I believe some of what the co-stars are saying, I also believe that they are doing this because they know for what it is worth Mariah name attracts attention whether for good or bad.

That line is iconic. I'm not even joking. I love that verse haha. No seriously I love it but I haven't listened to "Infinity" since 2015.

MC brings down The House (76,572)
by DK from USA
| |
|
|
I am not sure of the details revolving around The House movie project (I had no idea about this movie until the MC-shaming articles), but I find it equally unprofessional, and quite PR opportunistic, for the actors to speak about Mariah publicly, especially since she is not going to be part of the movie. (Even Seth Meyers was shady about her Christmas-time visit on his show, but why would a young TV personality whine about MC coming up with a different creative way of interviewing on a reindeer carrier? Anything outside the corporate boring structure is considered diva-ish difficult nowadays?) Overall it seems like there was a creative difference between how the producers wanted her part to go vs. how Mariah wanted her "real" character to project to the public. I would be equally demanding if I was playing "myself" in a film no matter the genre. As to why they did not sort things out prior to shooting seems rather inefficient and perhaps unprofessional - it's [censored] Hollywood people, not the most spiritual place to start with.

If anything, at least Will Ferrell wouldn't out right lie about Mariah, he is trained enough in the media to duck questions. There has to be a reason why they completely cut out her role. And yes, this isn't Mariah's first film appearance, but neither is this her first disaster in the past 2 years. The stunt wasn't "sprung" on her, she just said she wouldn't have done it like that in the sense she probably thought the stunt girl didn't get her mannerism right. How am I sure that she wasn't kept in the dark about exactly what they intended to film? Well it's clear, Mariah did end up filming the scene and it was later cut out, and she wouldn't have filmed it if this was new information, she'd have reason to refuse the shoot. Also coming late on set for a movie in which you are commissioned for a cameo is also not cute.

I completely didn't see her because I was focused on Mariah and the fan's interaction, haha I guess I spoke too soon. It's impossible for Stella to let Mariah be alone for a second.

The only reason I'm afraid of Stella responding is she won't ever go down the "apology" route or accept their own fault, she will come out bad mouthing the cast and crew and call them out saying they are using Mariah's name for promo. That won't be a good look. Also from the people you mentioned , some of them already tried to talk her out of MW, like Lee Daniels and Randy Jackson and then look what happened. Nick Cannon has also been pushed aside after being used for a few weeks for photos. JD probably won't say anything, not because he doesn't love her but because he just recently came out of her "I don't know him" zone.

Licia you're rocking the house with "Can't let go". This is cool. Definitely sounds like a good morning. I also love the part of the song, best lyric and emotion in one.

Not to mention, someone like Will Ferrell gains zero by lying about Mariah's actions on this movie set. Contrary to the belief of a few delusionals, gossip and lies about Mariah are not bringing this movie any crazy extra attention nor will it be raking in crazy extra money earned from those who are attracted to the movie that "Mariah Carey acted a fool during the filming of and subsequently got cut from". He was even nice about the whole thing, no disdain or maliciousness.

Yes Louise McNally was a good one. She was clearly not a bff for Mariah but that wasn't her job. I think she was very professional and tried her best to "protect" the superstar Mariah Carey. Maybe she was too strict for MC but better than the 24/7 reality-tv that we have now.

Can't Let Go (76,565)
by Licia from USA
| |
|
|
So I'm having a 3am jam session and this song comes on. I'm basically just vibing to the the verses and the chorus until my favorite part comes on. "Do you even realize the sorrow I have inside Everyday of my life Do you know the way it feels When all you have just dies I try and try to deny that I need you But still you remain on my mind" I've never screamed "Yes b*tch say that good word" so loud in my life. Can't Let Go had me all in my feelings thus good morning. Needless to say I scared everyone in the house and now they're mad, but I don't care. Lol.

All three of these people can't be lying and the fact that neither her or her team has offered an explanation or defended themselves speaks volumes. They are so quick to dispute dumb stuff that no one cares about, but yet they are allowing this story to grow legs. They should have said something when the first guy spoke out. I want to hear her side, but when she nor her team is talking all I can do is go by what the other people are saying.

So much shade, but no substance (76,563)
by Nikki from usa

Will certainly mentioned some issues like the producer did, but what I find shocking is the fact neither were present. Will said he was in his trailer and "heard" all of these things. Which sounds like the producer who also said these were things he "heard". That's an interesting way to push a movie. Then, this Cedric guy comes out and flat out says it's in bad form to "out" other "actors", but since they're doing it he's going to jump on the bandwagon. I'm not surprised by this board's willingness to believe the worst about MC without a single shred of information on how she was "difficult". What I am surprised at is the pure lack of objectivity period. This isn't MC's first rodeo. She's played herself before and actual movie roles without any of these issues. The only 2 tidbits of info we did get out of this was: 1. They intended to shoot her which wasn't something she agreed to do. 2. They decided to come up with some sort of "stunt" for her to do at the last minute and thought it was a good idea, but sprung it on her once she got there. So far, none of this sounds like "Mariah" being a diva. We still don't know what her "demands" were that no other movie she starred in seemed to have a problem with. It sounds like Mariah's a "diva" for expecting to have a say in how she's being portrayed as herself. I would like to hear MC's side of this before making any judgments.

Singing with Lionel (76,561)
by SM from Citizen of the World
| |
|
|
Based off the interview I seen, I bet money on it she will not be performing with Lionel Richie on the tour, if it still happens, he won't let her lip sync with him and how she keeps saying I'm only 60 minutes, which means 10 minutes late, 15 minutes for songs, 20 minutes for changing, 5 minutes for Trey Lorenz, 5 minutes to introduce the band and the dancers and the last 5 is her exit to play Butterfly. Lol.
