Re: How did I know? (77,852) (77,853) by SM from Citizen of the World
Lol I agree but I actually give Stella about 7-9 more months and going into the new year and Mariah will have a new manager. I think Bryan is a smart guy and I'm sure Stella not around on this tour as much has something to do with him. Hopfully he's letting Mariah know what's going on.

How did I know? (77,852) by Licia from USA
How did I know that was going to be Stella Whoseitwhatsit's response? She's so articulate and comes with all the receipts. Lol. She responds to Anthony's comments, but does not say anything when the media outlets have said and posted way worse stuff? She said nothing when they were posting that old video of Mariah whistling saying it was from the Lionel tour. What's wrong with this picture?

Oops. My bad. When it comes to Tanaka, Special K comes from a place of love. Hehe.

Sorry didn't mean to add an interrogation point after the title song "How come how long". It is a great song. Exclamation point.

Lol you actually started it. Was that a typo? I am just embracing the shade of it all.

Haha but Special K, you are the one who first wrote Tanya and then RibbonB picked it up and then the rest of us haha. It was in that post I think, the one where you were gushing over him.

Re: Anthony Burrell / Complex article (77,845) (77,847) by Special K from USA
To me it's kind of disrespectful. It's like what are we implying here by calling him Tanya?

Lol, yup.

I love that everyone has embraced the name Tanya.

What shade did I throw at you? I did catch the shade to Tanya, I said he wasn't mentioned by name, which is even more shady and perfect for a hired dummy like Tanya. I did have a typo, share should have said shade in my original post.

Article: In defense of Mariah doing the absolute bare minimum (77,843) by Terri from USA
I prefer singers like Mariah on stage, alone. For me dancers are a distraction. Sade, Pattie Labell, Mary Blige even Adele and others of that limited class of singers, can stand alone without the extras.

Re: Anthony for manager, Tanya is a dancer (77,841) (77,842) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Agree with this. Anthony isn't one to just "yas queen" Mariah just to stay in her entourage, unlike Tanya. He says it like it is, whether Mariah likes it or not and this is the kind of people she needs in her entourage. I saw Tanya doing interviews recently, and it's giving me Stella flashbacks of when she started giving multiple interviews to cash in on her 15 minutes of fame right after the NYE disaster.

Anthony for manager, Tanya is a dancer (77,841) by Sheila from United States
Anthony's version of My All is so beautiful, he slows dramatic over the top ballet moment with Mariah is classic, and delicious. Tanya is a dancer only and you can tell. Anthony keeps Mariah sexy, thin and classy. Anthony needs to be manager.

In defense of Mariah doing the absolute bare minim (77,840) by Terna from Nigeria
"The phoenix who rose from the ashes of a public meltdown with one of the greatest comebacks in music history." I disagree with this phrase from the article, well part of it. Mariah has the (all caps) greatest comeback in music history point blank period. Haha.

Re: "Pisces" - Trey Lorenz feat. Mariah (77,834) (77,839) by Edouard from France
How come and how long is an amazing song? Pisces is great, I believe there are 2 different versions, one sounds a bit like the arrangements on WBT. I would be interesting for Mariah to make a project (a soundtrack would be amazing) only as a background vocalist for other singers. Her work on Close My Eyes, Make You Happy, Just To Be Close To You, Pisces, Things That You Do, I Understand, is just phenomenal .

The blame game (77,838) by Andrew from UK
Love how, on this board, when things are awful it's the fault of Mariah's team. But when things are good, it's because Mariah's a genius and knows what she's doing.

In defense of Mariah doing the absolute bare minim (77,836) by Edouard from France
This article is great. I was worried at first but it is great and really embraces all the different points of view we have here on this forum as well as within the public perception. There is no need to oppose and fight against each other. This article finds a way to be objective without shaming MC. On the contrary it is very respecful and it shows how Mariah may know more about what she's doing than some of us here think she does. She is the industry. She clearly knows it from the inside.

Re: Despacito | Most-viewed YouTube video of all time (77,827) (77,835) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Hey Tevin, I cannot say for sure. I am not really good at analyzing charts and all, but I heard that next week that Cardi B song (the song that just got viral) is likely to go to the top 5 (next week will be "Despacito's" 14th week at number #1), and then we can hope next week it goes to #1. Then we won't have to worry about Luis or Rihanna. So lambs go stream that song hard. This song, apparently was out of the Hot 100, but recently Drake stepped up its popularity and it jumped to #14. Predictions for next week is top 5.

Re: "Pisces" - Trey Lorenz feat. Mariah (77,829) (77,834) by MusicfanJ from Germany
I love "Pisces" too. Yes, Mariah is phenomenal even as a back-up. By the way, Billy I love the word Mariah-esque. On "Everytime" with Babyface it's the same. Mariah takes the song to another level only with her back-up vocals. I remember when I bought "How come how long" and discovered MC's voice on "Everytime". It was the best.

Re: Anthony's comments (77,830) (77,833) by Licia from USA
I appreciate his honesty while still being respectful towards Mariah. He could have said a lot of nasty things, but he kept it as professional as he could without dragging her. I don't think anything he said was out of jealousy, him being catty, or him being upset because he didn't become the fake boy toy like some are trying to say.

Well yeah, maybe, but I'll take Rihannaish every time over Stellaish, which has unfortunately been the case for 3 years now.

Simmer down, please. Sometimes we have this tendency to take other people's opinions as if they were being posted as absolute truths, which they are not. There is such a thing as agreeing to disagree. That's how a lot of people in this board manage to coexist despite having differences. Peace.

Anthony's comments (77,830) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I appreciate that every time Anthony speaks of Mariah, he highlights she's a legendary star, unlike her team that seem to think she's an up and coming reality show star. I also can't blame him for putting her team on blast because they did the same to him. They leaked rumors about how he was fired and how he made the NYE event a bigger disaster by moving the backup singers. His career could have been ruined at that point. But he's doing well for himself, working with Beyonce no less.
