Re: Anthony Burrell / Complex article (77,930) (77,935) by RibbonB from USA
Lol maybe he will want to take another real dancing job elsewhere. Or she will find her "A Rod" to fill the role. Her pickings are slim these days. Remember all that "two alphas" crap when JP was around, that didn't last long. She went from so called alpha to lap dog. But whatever, she seems to set the stage for her continued "victimhood".

Andrew, I do agree with you.

Re: ABMB with demkids (77,924) (77,933) by Hilton from USA
From my standpoint I am giving Mariah the benefit of other folks doubts. I don't know for sure, obviously, none of us do, we can only judge by what we see. You and I both know that I nor you or anyone else has solid proof, so it's all assumption, even from my standpoint. I think, feel, and believe that she will always do right by Dem Kids. Every parent can look back, including ours, and say what they wish they could've or would've done differently but I really feel like she has that area on lock. When it comes to other people's parenting skills and what they choose to do with their children I really do think we should tread lightly, which I think we have for the most part. Lambily forever and we only want what's best for her and Dem Kids.

Re: Jessie Ware - Midnight (77,929) (77,932) by MusicfanJ from Germany
I like Jessie Ware. She's special, a true musician, not like the famous wannabes. When I saw a concert of her on TV, I had to buy "Devotion". Such a great album. I'm sure the other ones are good as well. And I do need new MC music (not only a Christmas song) too.

Amen, Sista. Actually I thought exactly the same thing. Enough of that crap is going on in the world without being forced to endure it on an arena scale.

Re: Anthony Burrell / Complex article (77,928) (77,930) by Lila from United States
Of all the things she could get tired of, paying others ways doesn't seem to be one of Mariah's. For Hire is certainly not going to get tired of playing the role. It's not as if he has anything going for him or Mariah can actually buy him a career. Same goes for the rest. It's going to be a long and embarrassing while.

Jessie Ware - Midnight (77,929) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
Unfortunately there really are acts that are immensely talented but still somehow remain undeservedly and inexplicably low-profile. Jessie Ware is one of them. Her first 2 albums, Devotion and Tough Love, were equally fire. Her sophiticated sound is evident in her latest offering, Midnight. I love the Bennie and the Jets-esque chorus. Please do give it a listen. You won't be disappointed.
(Actual translation of this message: Everybody seems to be coming up with new material and I want me some new Mariah jams stat. It's been over 3 years since MIAMTEC, dammit.)

Re: Anthony Burrell / Complex article (77,870) (77,928) by RibbonB from USA
She is not using common sense. It's all about the step down, pay a dancer type of L. Like jlo and many others have done. Maybe it feels easier that way, than dealing with a real relationship where they may have to compromise. This way they pay for it to be all about them, until they get tired of paying, or the dude gets tired of the role.

That usually happens when she is wearing a poorly fixed wig.

Maybe because Danielle Priano is no longer styling her hair so it looks more obvious lol. But now that I look at older pictures it does look more round now.

Re: Roc and Roe (77,922) (77,925) by TJ from Norway
Bobby Kristina Brown, Chet Hanks, Weston Cage, Indio Downey and so on. I don't think growing up as a kid of a famous person is easy, and it's not going to be easier if they are exposed for the media and life style. I remember when Bobby Kristina sang with her mother on stage as well. Didn't like it at all. I guess many thought it was cute, but kids are not supposed to make that experience. I'm not saying the twins will end up as her or the others above, but there's a really thin line between what's ok and not.

Article: Christian singer aims to "invade" tour with God's love (77,923) by Andrew from UK
So, essentially, if you wish to go and watch Mariah Carey and Lionel Richie live, you are forced to endure religious propaganda from the barmy army. How vulgar. I just read a story about a waitress who wasn't left a tip because she had a rainbow tattoo. She had a note written to her that she couldn't have a tip because she "doesn't love Jesus". How utterly bewilderingly mental people are. "And now, free with your ticket, ladies and gentleman, singing to you live from somewhere you don't want them to be, all-singing, all-dancing, yes, it's, wait for it, yes, it's the Mentally Disturbed." What must the alien overlords think of us?

Roc and Roe (77,922) by Andrew from UK
Some really strange people in here commenting on how hard Roc and Roe have it. Whilst I agree that Mariah should not be seen to be using her children for attention or to make money because that would be crass, good for them that they are going to live such a fantastical life other children mostly always, I would say, dream of. Seemingly unlimited wealth, travelling the world, meeting lots of people. Great. So what if they don't grow up in a "normal" lifestyle. What a stupid argument. It's like rejecting a lottery win because you won't know what it's like to grow up average.

Luke, I agree. I doubt their being forced and when it comes to Dem Kids, MC knows what she's doing.

Rapidito (77,919) by Edward from USA
Rapidito scores its 14th week at #1. It could actually get to sit all by itself at the 15th week mark, but Wild Thoughts might actually be the song to dethrone it. I doubt Rapidito is going to surpass Mariah's record. Yes, Rihanna's going to have another #1, but it is what it is. Lol.

Re: New dress (77,913) (77,918) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Now this is a dress that belongs to a lady like Mariah. She looks beautiful in it. I hope she had a good time with Da Brat. Finally someone to spend time with who knows Mariah longer than the clan.

Re: ABMB with demkids (77,901) (77,917) by Luke from United Kingdom
I think it's a smart move. They're apart of her "world" and they can't escape it and she can't remove them from it. I believe she would do more damage to them by trying to shield them and wrap them in cotton wool. She isn't forcing them to stand their alone and sing, but just having some fun. However, if they get older and speak out and say they felt forced into the situation it's a different matter. But they seem like the type of kids that want to be involved though, especially with their mum.

Re: Stella (77,914) (77,916) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
A good manager would have suggested to sing bits and pieces of the more obscure material as interludes in between (or intros to) some songs to zhush up the playlist a bit and make the hardcore fans happy while not alienating the casual listeners. But then again we have to remind ourselves that it's Stella we're talking about here, and what does she know about the music aside from the fact that Mariah sings and the increasing probability that she once accidentally walked into a room where Butterfly was playing long enough to figure out that "unbridled" was in its lyrics and suddenly decided that that's gonna be her favorite word to use randomly and liberally.

Hey all. That YouTube channel that posts the acepella links (Make It Happen, Underneath the Stars, Emotions etc) has posted the studio acepella for Hero. Check it out, it sounds beautiful, especially the bridge.

Yeah I agree. Mariah appears to loose the audience when she performs songs that the crowd isn't familiar with.
