Re: Emotions, Till the End of Time (75,015) (75,021) by B from USA
She's a top line writer (look it up). She's capable of greatness and if she wants to make a successful comeback she's going to have to give the public what they want from her catchy R&B songs with a Pop sensibility. Obviously LA thinks she's capable of making another comeback and hopefully he won't allow her to release anymore songs like You're Mine (Eternal), Infinity and I Don't. Yes, those songs charted on the Hot 100 which is a feat considering LA said that Mariah getting airplay was an accomplishment. YM(E) was a top 20 hit on the R&B charts. It's a great song lyrically. It has multiple hooks that stick in your head. It's an earworm. My six year old nephew knows every word to it and always asks me to play it. Any ballad she releases especially ballads that have similarities to We Belong Together are never going to measure up. Rodney's production sounded like a JD production (like WBT and every ballad on E=MC2 except For The Record and Thanx 4 Nothin') and Mariah's vocal arrangements and delivery made it sound too similar to We Belong Together. If it had been produced by Happy Perez and had that current yet classic sound that #Beautiful had it would be considered a classic Carey ballad. However, if IDJ had given it the same Clear Channel deal they gave #Beautiful and Trey and Mariah had actually filmed scenes together and fully recreated The Little Mermaid it could have crossed over.

RibbonB, the "deluluness" is rampant. With Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum I thought we had enough here.

The white dress is cute, but I'm loving that black one she wore to dinner with Rick Fox. I need to tell Mariah that even though I love her music, I'll fight her and anybody else for Rick Fox. Before the Mariah Brigade surfaces, it's a joke and no I don't think she's dating him. Lol.

Mimi and Mishka. Then we have this full body shot, love the shoes. A 12 year old and a 14 year old. Then we have a nice cake moment. Then we have this trench coat moment. Where is Stella? Haha, so weird.

This show will be so wonderful as everything about her is. And for RibbonUSA - whoever you are - you need to take several seats because any place with MC is a great place.

"TTEOT just takes me somewhere else." Mara that's how I always feel too while listening to this song. Pure Mariah at her best. I love the song from second one (that intro is everything) to the part Licia posted (goosebumbs) and then the calming last notes. And "The wind" is one of the many underrated songs by Mariah. I think "The wind" sounds a little bit like a James Bond soundtrack. "Can't let go" and "And you don't remember" are also gems, so soulful and timeless. I wish we would get another TTEOT. 10 songs are enough if they have the quality of the Emotions cd.

Re: Albums (75,011) (75,014) by Terna from Nigeria
"Faded" a filler? Haha. Wow that's a first. Even non-fans take an instant liking and interest to that song and always ask why it wasn't released as a single. From what I read review-wise the critics indicated that it was subpar compared to the debut and fell short (in other words Emotions was a sophomore slump). And they're right, there's a reason why Emotions only had 3 songs given the single treatment. Lol. Oh well, to each his own they say.

Re: Stella (75,010) (75,013) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Kylie Jenner has a mom who has contacts and talks little but gets things done. Mishka has a mom that talks big, has not contacts and can't get crap done. Stella will never be Kris, Mishka will never be Kylie. I'm sure Kris will cringe at being compared to this mess of an individual. Freaking circus bunch. Shameless people living off someone else's money and then having the audacity to call the paparazzi and TMZ to get coverage.

Re: Stella (74,999) (75,012) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
What the hell? The Mercedes was for Mishka? Why does a 14 year old need a car? Jeez all these empower sh*t coming from Stella's mouth yet she is spoiling her kid without actually letting her earn anything and that too with money stolen from Mariah.

Re: Albums (74,996) (75,011) by B from USA
Those fillers are considers classics by not just fans but critics alike. Each were highlighted in almost every review of Emotions. MIAMTEC has way more filler. Money, Faded, Heavenly, the leftover remixes from the Angels Advocate Remix album that was shelved and a few others I can't think of. I love MIAMTEC but Emotions wins hands down. Mariah's vocals on that album are otherworldly.

Re: Stella (74,997) (75,010) by B from USA
Wow. There most be trouble in paradise if TMZ source (AKA Stella) claims Mariah would have rather been gifted the car Miskha was given. Sounds like Mariah's finally seeing what we've been seeing since Stellar entered the picture. She doesn't care about Mariah or her career. She's just trying to turn her family into the next Kardashians which was the whole point of taking Mariah into doing that docuseries. Thankfully, it flopped or E would have given Stella and her daughter a spinoff like they do every series that's successful. Kylie Jenner has a spinoff called Kylie's Life or something like that coming soon.

Re: Emotions, Till the End of Time (74,995) (75,009) by B from USA
I think everyone has a moment during that breakdown, I know I do. I hope Mariah writes timeless R&B songs for her new album like she did on Emotions. #Beautiful was a Mowtown inspired throwback and it was her last hit which proves that the public loves it when Mariah pays homage to the Motown era.

Re: Article: Mariah Carey not having "midlife crisis" (74,986) (75,008) by Lila from United States
I wonder which phrase she'll be using all of next week to come up with. Honestly, I was surprised the Gossip Cop dating story was so understated. I was expecting it to be all showy with phrases like: unbridled passion and they both feel on top of their game when they're together.

Re: Stella (74,997) (75,007) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Exactly someone please stop the witch. But who could do that (except Mariah)? If you think logical there's no reason to work with such a person. I know some on this board said because she says yes to everything MC does, but there should be a lot of people who would do this for less. Anyway her manager makes me sick every time I see or read something about her. It's really trash 100%. I hope one day we find out the reason Mariah was tolerating her. I'm pretty sure it will end bad or at least not nice.

Re: Stella (74,997) (75,006) by Malcolm from Asia
Her reasoning why she fired Mariah's staff was because she said they're wasting Mariah's money and she always talked about budget last SSFT, then why the [censored] she have the guts to buy these cars to Mariah and her daughter like it was nothing? How much she's getting from Mariah to afford all of this? I can't, she's desperate and doing all of this shit right in front of our eyes. She's totally garbage and opportunist, I'm gonna puke. Open your [censored] eyes Mariah.

Debates like this are some of my favorite because each one of us like different albums for different reasons. The one thing I can appreciate about Mariah's album she has a little something for all her fans. I would hope that one day Mariah would rank all her studio albums according to herself just to see where some of our favorite albums rank according to MC herself.

Re: Stella (74,997) (75,001) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
The only thing is, Stella doesn't know crap. She can never be Kris because Kris gets things done. She took a family of untalented, semi attractive members and turned them into a worldwide brand. Stella on the other hand has one of the most talented individuals in the world and she couldn't do sh*t for her career. That's what a big flop Stella is.

Re: Emotions, Till the End of Time (74,983) (75,000) by Mara from United States
Til The End of Time and then the leading into the Wind is my all time favorite Mariah ever. TTEOT just takes me somewhere else. Everything about that song is hauntingly other worldly. Every time Mariah does something I don't agree with, I always think "this is the woman that wrote and sang TTEOT" and all is good. Lol. I love the Emotions album. And You Don't Remember is another favorite. Great memories from that album.

Re: Stella (74,997) (74,999) by RibbonB from USA
LoL, Mimi has had Maybach's for years already. Why would Stella get a "13" or now 14 year old kid a car though? Is that the age of driving these days? I forget, I thought it was at least 16. But anyway, all so silly and shallow. At least Mimi only spent 34K on Crustacean. Shawn had some very ineresting subtweets last week, I think they might have been about "you know who".
