Re: Mariah-Stella (74,876) (74,904) by Malcolm from Asia
Absolutely yes, the influence of Stella on her is very obvious. Honestly her face looks different now compared to the first half of 2015, I think it was at the BBMAs or Ellen when I last saw that radiant and beautiful face she always have and I don't think it's even about aging but rather a product of cheek implant/s, I just hope we will not see the day where she will have butt implants too. Sorry to say this but the woman whose Mariah doesn't know is aging gracefully, she knows how to take of herself and her career and for me she won already from whatever the "feud" she and Mariah have. Celine is also at the Met Gala this year, where Mariah at? Oh probably planning to go at a fancy restaurant for Stella to call TMZ. One word for all of this bullshit, tacky. Mimi L. is right, this next album must be executed rightly, this is like her last chance to redeem herself just to be messed up by Stella with her very professional ideas and decisions. I'm glad Anthony Burrell said those things recently because it goes to show that we are not delusional to think that Stella is unfit as the manager of Mariah, a woman who probably pick the Kardashians as her family's role model. I hope Mariah can use her own Instagram to see what Stella and her kids likes and imitates because it's all things Kardashian. It's like Mariah's beliefs contradicts what Stella wants to achieve. I will just look forward to that day where I can see the headline "Mariah Carey fires her manager".

Billboard Hot 100: the tide is turning (74,903) by John from USA
Something "weird" is going on in the Hot 100. The current one is dominated by male artists, with only one female artist in the top 30. Interesting development. Maybe Mariah should take that chance and once and for all take this seriously. Lady Gaga's latest single looks like it's gonna flop. Katy Perry's Slave to the Rhythm is flopping, is getting a lot of backlash for her latest antics and is being slapped left and right on IG and twitter as a has-been. (Serves her right for shading Mariah when she has achieved less than 0.00000001% of what Mariah has. I think Mariah needs to once again nurture that gift that helped turn her life around, and figure out what brought her where she is now. Will Mariah finally take that chance, reinvent her sound, and fill that female void in the music industry?)

Empire (74,902) by B from USA
Did anyone see the episode in which Rumor Willis sang with Jamal? She sang. It blew me away and yes it was really was her singing. Mariah should have blown like that when she did her cameo or if she comes back she needs to sing the hell out a simple ballad like Rumor did.

Thanks. It looked like Roe Roe didn't like it or something was in her eye.

Re: Mariah (74,893) (74,899) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I don't see a proper album roll out under Stella's control. I would be glad to be proven wrong, but we've seen her do roll outs for the singles and she even couldn't manage to do much with it, so I shudder to think how will she ever handle an album release. And this isn't just any album, it's a make or break album. If Mariah wants to make a comeback after the disasters of the last two years, this is her only chance. So I hope Stella stays away from the album promos and let L A Reid and some other professionals deal with it. Stella doesn't have the contacts to pull the strings.

Yes, I remember the thing with the "Tommy exit bag". I meant the classical purse. There was an old interview I guess where Mariah said she's not a purse type. But that must have changed a long time ago.

Mariah doesn't like bags? She talked openly about how during her marriage to Tommy she carried everything she needed in her bag incase shit hit the fan. She also loves using the word bag, lol.

Re: Mariah (74,883) (74,893) by B from USA
I don't hate Stella. I just see what everyone else sees. She's a master manipulator. She was able to somehow talk Mariah Carey, who had just recently dismissed reality shows and stars, into doing a reality show. She even said reality tv wasn't for her and how doing AI was like going to work in hell with Satan. Did she blackmail her into doing it? I mean seriously how did she convince a mega star to change her mind seemingly overnight. She showed her true colors when she didn't whisk Mariah off stage during NYE and gave countless interviews to every media outlet that called. She isn't managing Mariah to help Mariah make a comeback she's doing it to come up (or whatever it's called when someone rides someone else's coattails to gain fame for her and her daughters). I guess the real test of her abilities will be the album release. If it flops or its lead single flops Mariah will give her her walking papers just like she did Randy and JD and if she doesn't it will confirm something's up.

R&B (74,892) by B from USA
#Beautiful peaked at #3 on the R&B charts and You're Mine (Eternal) peaked at #24. Mariah is an R&B artist, Vision of Love topped the R&B charts before it topped the Hot 100, and unfortunately R&B is no longer "popular". Mariah needs to write a strong ballad with catchy poetic lyrics that transcends formats. She knows how to do so. She just doesn't seem interested in playing the game anymore or she's just waiting for the inevitable revival/resurgence of R&B in the US. Using the Jones sample for I Don't was inspired as were their collaborations on MIAM but she needs a new collaborator for her singles.

Re: Asia-exclusive album as next step? (74,884) (74,891) by B from USA
I hope not. She's always been huge in Japan. Sony retained the rights to sell Glitter in Japan as part of her exit from the label despite still owing them an album. She still has a lot of fans in the States, we just don't go all out unless she does. She has to show us she means business like she did during TEOM and E=MC2 eras.

Mariah's birthday post about the twins was adorable and I actually think she wrote it, not Mishka. I love that they entered the world to the live version of Fantasy. So Mariah.

It's cute that they kept the event low key and family oriented, low key by Mariah's standard I mean. Can you share the picture of the cake please? I didn't see it yet. I have seen the roller coaster one though. It was cute.

Time has really gone by fast it seems. I hope they all had a great day at Disneyland. Someone tweeted a candid shot of Mariah, Nick and Roc and Roe on some roller coaster type ride. Roe looked like maybe she got scared on the ride. Awww. I see Mariah's nephew Shawn was also at the event. Their little Mickey and Minnie Mouse cakes were as adorable as the twins.

Asia-exclusive album as next step? (74,884) by Jeff from United States
I know Mariah has had a commercial apocalypse in the States, which is a shame. I still love "I Don't" and listening to Me. I Am Mariah, I'm stunned that I previously thought it to be a lesser album than her previous works. The sequencing is truly brilliant and the fact that she could create such beautiful vocal inflections on "Thirsty" proves her artistry. Secretly I feel that Beyonce was inspired by that album (specifically Thirsty) as well as Solange (Cranes in the Sky steals from Stay the Night). But I have a feeling that Mariah's next step should be to do an Asia-exclusive album since her fanbase is still huge in Asia. I listened recently to IU's new single "Palette" and I can't help to see the Mariah's influence by the stacked vocals and quirky lyrics. I live in Korea, grew up in the States, and my experience here has been a Mariah love fest in strange ways. I heard "Make it Look Good" at a convenience store, "Don't Stop Funkin' 4 Jamaica" at a popular department store, "You Don't Know What to Do" playing outside in a busy district, and every time I go to a karaoke room, I can always find Mariah rarities such as Outside, Close My Eyes, everything from the Glitter Soundtrack, yet... Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Madonna and Beyonce don't have an extensive catalogue available even in Seoul karaoke rooms, only the major major hits. I mean, I can rarely find New Order's Blue Monday or Culture Club's Do You Really Want to Hurt Me. Yet for Mariah, I can find most of her catalogue even in karaoke rooms in the boondocks of Korea. I feel like she should do something akin to what Mary did with the London Sessions and maybe do a "Korea Sessions" and branch out. Her albums have always done well on the Gaon Charts and BTS's cover of #Beautiful was extremely popular here, even to the point where you can no longer watch Mariah's original on VeVo without disrespectful comments saying BTS covered it better. Just a suggestion. She is the only current American artist to have conquered Asia. I know the horde always say that Mariah is not an international star like Madonna since she didn't conquer Europe, but that is simply an ethnocentric notion purporting Europe to be the center of the world. Asia has a large population and has been rising in influence. Come on Stella, make this happen.

Mariah (74,883) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
Let me start by saying we have all been influenced or influenced someone a time or two in our lives and Mariah is different after all she is human like the rest of us. I find as a majority of the fans hate Stella to maximum capacity we just want to nitpick at this point anything we can to say she is wrong for our Mariah we have become so spoiled with MC we find a majority everything wrong with everyone in her life. Don't get me wrong I am by no means a Stella loyalist because to me she has done anything to prove her worth as Mariah's manager but her last team became dead weight also but what do I know I am just a fan observing and with an opinion but at the end of the day I know that until Mariah decides Stella and company have to go they are not going anywhere. All I can do is either continue to support her in the ways I choose or leave her alone all together as for right now I may not like everything going on in Mariah's world but I am open to hear where the direction of the new album is going to go. I believe this new era will determine the duration of Mariah and Stella's business relationship.

Happy birthday (74,882) by Lila from United States
I already wished them happy birthday from my Twitter account yesterday but I'll put it here to: Happy 6th birthday Monroe and Moroccan Cannon. I hope you had so much fun with mommy and daddy at Disneyland and that your 7th year will be even more blessed and fun than the 6th.

I can't believe I missed wishing the twins a happy birthday. I hope they enjoyed their party and I'm sure they were excited to have both mom and dad there. Time really flies. Before we know it they will be teenagers. I don't think Nick will be ready. Lol.
