Honey was the escape from the mention, Heartbreaker was the collaboration with a rapper on the main version which at the time was very bold for an artist like Mariah, Loverboy was a big scandal in its own way and the melody of the verses as well as Da Brat's are a clear shot at gelloe, TTR was her way of saying I'm still here even after Glitter, ILT and WBT is a party record "them chickens is ash and I'm lotion" and a shot at Tommy Mottola. Touch My Body and #Beautiful don't surf on the scadal wave. When you think about it Drealover uses a sample from Emotions (the group) and people accused her of plagia when she did Emotions because they said she used the Best Of My Love song (from the group Emotions). Mariah lost the plot after Memoirs (75,871) by T from USA Actually I noticed a change in Mariah the artist after she released Obsessed. I think that song cursed the rest of her career. I really do. I mean it was the last single to date that she promoted properly in that old school Mariah fashion but even with all the hard work it only reached #7. And then there was the subject matter. It was a very different kind of single for MC. There was an air of desperateness around it. As if for the first time she needed controversy to sell a record. Since that song she has never promoted a song properly (or even had a top 10). Maybe the music gods weren't too keen on Mariah making and releasing Obsessed. (Tuesday 30 May 2017; 02:18)

That debut is still the best so far by any (all caps) new artist, point blank period. There's a reason why the album "Emotions" suffered a sophomore slump. It's just bland, dark, headache inducing and has absolutely no personality of Mariah on it, it's just empty. Talk about a snooze fest. It's my least favorite and least played Mariah album. Only tracks worth mentioning are "Can't Let Go", "The Wind" and "Make it Happen". Meanwhile the debut has "Vision of Love" and "Love Takes Time", two powerful, timeless, classics from the same album. Mariah plays innocent. Stella plays sister and loud foul-mouthed enforcer. Her family turned employees play fake family. Then of course, there's superiority complex having Shawn who takes to social media to play at being Mariah's knight in shining armor and the only one she can trust when he's just another person who goes along with every dumb thought and action. All of these kids stuck in adult bodies but no real adult around to give a sensible word and steer away from danger. (Monday 29 May 2017; 18:21)

Battle of the albums (75,857) by Pablo from Spain I think I'm the only one who just doesn't like "Emotions". The title track is one of my least fave singles (I almost typed "least", but it is better than "I Don't"). While I love "Can't Let Go", "Make It Happen" and "So Blessed", the album just doesn't speak to me. The only album I like less from Mariah is "Memoirs". I love the self-titled debut. I love every song on it. So... I vote for Mariah Carey in the battle of the albums. (Monday 29 May 2017; 18:09)

Mariah on Wendy, "House" story (75,856) by Chicago Lamb from USA This story of Mariah being 4 hours late, demanding stuffed lamb toys, white roses, changing plot, song, etc. is clearly (all caps) just a publicity stunt to promote the movie. I hope we see through all the fake news. But it is what it is. They use her name for negative reports and at the end of the day I don't think Mariah or her camp minds. (Monday 29 May 2017; 17:28)

"The First Album" has more hits, and even the songs like "Sent from up above" and "There's got to be a way" are radio friendly and could have been hits. Emotions is more cohesive, almost like a concept album. I think I prefer Emotions as an album because it's less instant and obvious, but the first album is just so good as an introduction .
