Todd from Australia - season 2 (74,289) by Jeff from USA
Todd, dahling. I would totally watch you as the love interest for MW season 2. Haha. Anyone else with me?

Most challenging song live (no lip) (74,288) by Jeff from USA
Just curious. What do you guys think is MC's most vocally challenging song that she still sings fully live (with no lipsynch)? I know My All is challenging, but she lips certain parts almost every time. I'm just wondering what song she showcases her vocals on.

SnaggleRoc (74,287) by RibbonB from USA
Awww, so cute, the picture Nick posted of Roc with his first missing tooth. Roc and Roe are so cute, but are about to get at that awkward stage of being little snaggleteeth kids. Priceless.

Re: Mariah Carey: winner by default (74,275) (74,286) by Terna from Nigeria
I once told you to stay outta my replies, now didn't I? First things first there's a God, whether you choose to believe or not has nothing to do with that fact, point blank period. Secondly, the term "favorite" as used in my original post indicates that God has those who's responsibility, burden and life journey has much more significance and importance than others. (Moses, Abraham, Noah etc. Are you even a Christian? Do you read the Bible? Were you brought up in the ways of the Lord? Apparently not. That would explain a lot about.) Do you think we still don't have them today? Modern day versions? If you do you must be more lost than you come across. Even Mariah Carey (the singer you quesionably Stan for) acknowledges that there's a higher power at play or songs like "Vision of Love", "Fly Like a Bird" nor the hoard of other songs in which she references God (I bet you skip those songs) won't exist. So who are you to question his existence and who he chooses? I won't stoop to your level to name calling, I don't know you personally, we haven't even met. Not once. But I'm not the one who's shown erratic behavior, derogatory name calling, sudden unexplained outburst and temper tantrums, with a general reputation of being highly unstable and difficult on this messageboard. Only you Andrew carry that title. Even the newbies on here don't take long to zoom in on you and notice there's something off about you. Oh Andrew why are you like this? Do you have love in your real life? Do you have the capacity to love?

Re: Debunking Lila (74,284) (74,285) by RibbonB from USA
Lila, some people need to "stop trying to make fetch happen" with Toynaka. Lol I mean Mariah can probably make him go fetch like a little lap dog and if that works for her, then oh well. But some fans want to believe the fantasy and don't want others to point out the things in plain sight. If it doesn't make sense then I'm going to speak on it if I want to. But where is that Busta video so we have something important to talk about? Oh and you are absolutely right, when Mariah does not want to be seen, she is not seen, not a peep. When she wants to be seen she is with nip slips and all.

Re: Debunking Lila (74,278) (74,284) by Lila from United States
1) He was fine enough to take the stage on NYE and on his Instagram page there's one lone reference to a fairly recent $20 a head dance class he was supposed to teach. No pictures from it so who knows if it actually happened but it seems his leg is well enough. 2) Mariah's jobs post NYE did not have dancers nor did Tonka Toy dance. He has not worked since NYE. 3) I don't see what Mariah's tour being pushed back has to do with him not working. In fact, I'd be highly surprised if dancers didn't have protective clauses in their contracts for occurrences like this, seeing as most of them do not make enough money that would allow for them to be out of work for extended periods of time and tours can be put off until next year or even longer. 4) He worked with Beyonce eight years ago. I don't know why some keep hashing that out. It's over and done with. Tell me what he's doing now to support himself other than living on Mariah's dime. Nothing points to him living the same lifestyle before 2015 that he does now. 5) He's family oriented. And? That's not some anomaly that deserves a pat on the back. Why would that be "refreshing" for Mariah? She was married to a man who is family oriented and spends a great deal of time around his family. One whom she chose out of many and waited many years to father her children and has always complimented as a father. 6) Every where they went was not a celebrity "hotspot", so yes they did call them. As for the ones that were, there are a million places to eat in LA; when celebrities don't want to be seen, they don't frequent the venues they know there's a high likelihood of paparazzi action. When Mariah doesn't want to be seen she's not seen. The same goes for every other well known celebrity. When they're seen it's because they want to be seen.

Assumptions (74,282) by Manny from U.S.
It bothers me when some fans assume so much about Mariah's love life. We do not know enough to be talking with so much conviction. Mariah is not a personal friend. It just seems excessive to lay down all this evidence like we just got off the phone with her. It just seems dramatic and like bad gossip.

To and fro (74,281) by Nikki from usa
It's interesting how everyone just loves Anthony, yet he's the one who told Mariah to bring her butt out and touch her breast. Everyone loves Benny who has been fired by nearly every artist he's ever managed including J.Lo. He's been known to burn bridges and has incorporated sleezy business tactics. He is one of the reasons Brenda hates Mariah. Of course, he can get the job done because he's cut throat just like the music industry. Rene was a great manager, but it doesn't change the fact he also married and lived off Celine's success [censored]. Go on and love Mottola, but he was nothing before Sony and hasn't amounted too much since being fired by them. He can scream from the top of his lungs how he "discovered" great talent and had his own biz once upon a time, but it doesn't change the fact he wasn't the one to turn them into stars and his business didn't go anywhere. He had to be hired by a friend and then stab him in the back for his job to get his seat at Sony. Just because you want Mariah to rule again, doesn't mean she wants to. She did that for 2 decades. She's said repeatedly she doesn't want to have a million comebacks. She's trying new things, stuff she hasn't been able to do before. Now, she's enjoying herself, her hobbies, and her life. Mariah needs to be needed and those that are grateful for her help makes her happy. Amazingly, Mariah isn't interested in having people around who don't like anything about her and criticize her all the time. She's just not frigid and joyless like a girl should be.

Re: Edward (74,280) by Nikki from usa
Not to rain on your parade of lynching Stella, but Mottola didn't raise Sony revenue to 6 billion. That's for the whole entire company, not just the music division. 2000 actually saw losses from the previous year in the music sector. Mottola lost over 200 million in 2001 and then doubled it in 2002 which is why he was canned in spring of the next year. But, you're right, he did open up more and new markets and help them make more money from '91-'99; before he became obsessed with sticking it to his ex wife and then Micheal Jackson over The Beatles catalog. Both Mottola and Stella are too extreme in opposite directions. I would like to see Mariah with someone who's professional, knows what they're doing, but still allows Mariah the creative freedom to express herself as an artist. Guidance and teamwork are wonderful things, but Mottola's brand of domineering in Mariah's case, isn't. Renee was a good manager in many ways, but he didn't treat Celine like a dog to bark when he said so. Nor would Celine be on board with such treatment.

Art of Letting Go (74,279) by Nikki from usa
I agree, I heard Mottola all over that record. She was never in any one else's "dominion". Especially, since that came out in 2014. I know Nygel and Mottola are friends and he's the one that frequently brings up Mariah from years ago. The sheer fact Mottola wrote an open letter to a gossip column shows he's not done with her. Most of us heard that he was calling up MC and asking what MIAM sold. I was worried about her joining with AI to begin with because of the J.Lo/Mottola connection to that show. Of course, Mariah joining under false pretenses is when the show decided to "try something new". How do we know Mottola wasn't calling up Mariah and asking her to let him manage her again after that debacle? If he had would the Art of Letting Go make more sense? When MC left their joint mansion she said she only took pictures and "sentimental" things. It would also make more sense why he wanted an article published that says how he would've managed Mariah. I'd think after 20 years he would've moved on. But, if we're realistic J.Lo's getting old and her fame is based on beauty. She could have a good 5 years left and then it's going to be slim pickings for opportunities. Mariah will always be the talent with a legacy despite age and appearance. There's more angles to work with.

Debunking Lila (74,278) by Nikki from usa
Because, why not? 1) Mariah broke Tanaka's damn leg. Just because the cast is off doesn't mean it entirely healed. He would have to go to physical therapy for months and still keep major weight off of it initially after it's healed. You think tours happen without advance tryouts ahead of time? What would he be trying out for with a bum knee? 2) He was still cutting scenes for MW in November and Mariah was still touring. He was a dancer for her in December and she had gigs in January. Did we also forget she's supposed to be touring with Lionel which got delayed? He's not going to be looking for new work while still employed with a current job. 3) Tanaka has been in the dancing biz for 10 years and worked with everyone from Beyonce to Madonna. 4) Bryan is good with kids and is hands on with his own nieces and nephews. I don't know if I buy the relationship as romantic, but I think they're good friends who have a love of kids and both are family oriented. That's probably refreshing for Mariah and Bryan will allow her to lead. And no, Lila, celebrities don't have to call paparazzi for a photo op. There are "hot spots" where the paps like to hang out because celebs frequent there. If a celeb has juicy news surrounding them than the paparazzi are more likely to watch them like a hawk because they can score a higher pay day for their pics. Mariah was huge news after the NYE catastrophe and stayed big news by "offically" being with Tanaka. Of course, a lot of that has died down now.

Re: Busta collab (74,272) (74,277) by Capri_ from China
Unfortunatelly the people in twitter are suddenly attacking Mariah Carey and Busta Rhymes through a video just posted which they performed in 2015, and people's comments on Mariah's vocal crack and Busta's fat body are terribly nasty. I tried to tell them this is a video from 2015 and posted Mariah's latest performance "One more try", but they just ignore it and continue to attack Mariah. So what should we do?

Re: Busta collab (74,272) (74,276) by Will from England
Really wish that they didn't do that (i.e. calling it a IKWYW pt. 2). Lord knows that it will set our expectations too high, and anything less than that will prove to be a disappointment, as proven in the past when anyone has said "oh it's like Vanishing/VOL pt 2 etc.". Mariah has way too high a standard when it comes to collabs and singles that whenever critics or people around her try to hype it up, anything less will fall flat and the song/album flops. Wish we could all go into a new song with no expectations for it to be like anything she's done before, so we're not comparing it straight away. We usually do that after we've heard the song anyway lol.

God has favourites? The big magical make-believe beardy man in the sky likes Mariah a lot so gave her lots of talent and money. Moreso than he likes the people of Syria, for example. Bad little Syrians. God doesn't like you as much. Take this chemical bomb, kids. What an insane load of nonsense you always write, with very little ever based in reality. However, you have outdone yourself this time. Lunacy.

Mariah Carey: winner by default (74,274) by Terna from Nigeria
She's a special one. God's favorite (yeah the most high does have favorites). She stays winning by default. Everything she touches turns gold. A career spanning three decades of record breaking, staggering achievements even other legends would kill for. A body of work unmatched, still relevant, still talked about, still kicking and most importantly the most beautiful kids of any celebrity and generally. Sounds like a career to be envious of. She's got nothing more to prove, she's done it all and come out on top everytime. Indeed she is "#1 to Infinity".

Mimi / Ribbon / Licia (74,273) by Lila from United States
Thanks Mimi, I try. Licia you are not the only one, and Ribbon Anthony was so right but it's so mind blowing at the same. This pervasiveness within the fan base to eat up and believe every lie, and not even good lies but poorly thought out, obviously lying lies is mind blowing. I can't stop Mariah from doing the stupid things she does but it doesn't mean I have to fall for the stupidity either. I don't understand how they can let someone piss on their leg and then tell them it's raining.

Busta collab (74,272) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I wonder when it will be dropping. Mariah was under the impression it will drop late March, but since it's not her single, she probably doesn't know the details. They shot the video too, I hope it's coming soon. I love Busta, although I don't know how he's doing commercially at the moment, but I just want a hot song, that can be the summer anthem. They are playing it out to be IKWYW part 2 and I'm here for it, after all it kick started the return of the voice.

Edward (74,271) by Gabe from USA
This guy has been a fan posting here since I can remember. He does have valid points and has followed Mariah's career to have an opinion. I agree with what you are saying and feeling. Sometimes I tell my friends and family if I can't defend or justify Mariah's behavior or actions then you know it's kinda not so good hopefully she will get new professional management. She has it in her to clean up this whole mess and give people a new memorable "era" the lambily deserves this and so does Mariah.

Re: The Carey-Tanaka cynicism (74,267) (74,269) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Yes Licia, completely agree with you. How "it" started makes me wonder too. It all reminds me of a bad soap opera. I also don't trust Bryan completely, because of the things that were already mentioned on this board. The thing with Mr. Packer was the weirdest for me and then right after that mess Mr. Tanaka showed his "love". Mariah seems to hate to be alone. I wish she would love herself enough to spend some time alone. And then let "real" people into her life/inner circle. Maybe one day.

Re: The Carey-Tanaka cynicism (74,263) (74,267) by Licia from USA
I personally don't care about his looks, his age, or his job. If that is really who she wants then she should be with who makes her happy. I just don't believe this "relationship" is real for either him or Mariah. I hope I'm wrong because she deserves to be happy and even though I'm critical of it all I want that for her, but it just seems fake. I also don't like how this all started. She was engaged to another man, but she's bumping, grinding, and flirting with someone else on camera. I can't really be the only person who found something to be wrong with that?

Re: One more thing (74,261) (74,265) by RibbonB from USA
Exactly. I love that Anthony made that parting shot, that MW was a show created for dummies who believe whatever they want them to believe. Snakanaka is just getting his moment off of Mimi's dime. Thirstbot in action. Anyone who would actively contribute to Mariah's drinking, possible drugging and image muddying is not to be trusted. Stella is just a snake.
