Songs you wish Mariah would do (75,119) by Mara from United States Anyone have any songs they would like to hear MC put her sound into? I was listening to Lisa Fischer today who I still adore and while we know "How Can I Ease The Pain" and her famous high notes in that one, I would love Mariah to do her song "Wildflower" or something like that. I know Mariah has songs similar lyrics wise, but if Mariah covered that without hopes of it being a single and just letting loose on that song I think it would be melodic heaven. I also would love to hear her do something by Sade. I think something sexy and smooth and just a song to relax and "chill" to would be amazing. I can't imagine what it must be like it be best friends to just friends with Mariah and getting the chance to hear her do even a few lines of some of these obscure songs. Unless MC still only listens to MC and therefore doesn't have other music to sing along to, or as we have seen in some online things, when she is asked to sing she replies "not today dahhling". Is she in a space right now where she's 100% committed to putting out great music? LA should not have to be in the studio watching and forcing her to do what she always claims she loves to do. 5/9/2015 (75,110) by B from USA On this day two years ago I attended the second night of Mariah's residency (after driving from Ohio to Las Vegas). After finishing Infinity Mariah invited the audience to stay and be in her new video for Infinity which was being directed by Brett Ratner. I'll never forget that night. Seeing Mariah was #1 on my bucket list but being in a Mariah Carey video wasn't on my list because I thought it would never happen. (Tuesday 9 May 2017; 18:48)

Re: The industry (75,096) (75,107) by B from USA Her last three official singles, You're Mine (Eternal), Infinity, and I Don't, have all charted on the Hot 100 with basically no promotion or label support which proves she's still relevant. LA needs Mariah's next album and single to be hits or his tenure at Epic will but littered will epic failures especially after the meteoric rise of Megan Trainer and her sophomore slump despite having Epic and Reid behind her 100%. Meagan and Fifth Harmony were basically his legacy and Meagan suffered one of the biggest sophomore slumps in history and Fifth Harmony broke up so he needs a superstar who can deliver and Mariah can. He's going to be all up in her writing and recording sessions like Wendy Williams clashing with Stella. (Tuesday 9 May 2017; 18:09)

I really dislike the Memoirs album. I barely listen to it (and like Mariah all I listen to is her music, lol). I go back and forth on Faded. I hope she has been able to do that despite her NYE debacle and her silly reality show and failed PR relationships. Here is hoping she is able to write a few great tunes, while on tour with Lionel or stationed in Vegas. All these Stella stunts are not interesting, they are really just alarming. The industry (75,096) by Edouard from France I know a lot of you don't particularly like Mariah's behavior lately. I've just realized something though. Maybe Mariah is not trying to show us she is relevant. I think she's showing the industry (the media, the label, etc.) that she is. And I think it is working. She is consolidating her brand so that no one can prevent her from releasing an album by saying she doesn't have an audience anymore. She's still in the game. She will move on to making gospel and jazz albums later in her career. When she decides and not because doesn't have any other opportunities. I believe that's how Mariah manages Mariah.
