Yes it was great to see their Nanna Beth there with them. I thought it was so cute when they referred to her as that on that Christmas video a couple of years ago. Those kids have so much personality.

I don't know, she did way more promotion for MIAMTEC than she did for Memoirs if I remember correctly. For Memoirs she was so caught up in Precious and her new perfume. All the promo appearances were either pushed back and cancelled. Yes she had more singles that were released but none were really promoted heavily with the exception of Obsessed. For MIAMTEC, the promo actually started with American Idol and #Beautiful, then she went on to promote #B a lot. With YME she did tons of radio interviews and even appeared at the World Music Awards. She even lit up Times Square. That would be excellent promo imo for a new album, but first and foremost the songs have to connect to the people.

Yep, "acting so corny like fritos" stands up there as one of her greatest ever lyrics and there's absolutely no need for anyone else to step in.

So much for hoping they weren't there. Lol. Anyway I'm glad that Mariah and Nick's mom still seem to have a good relationship.

At a quick glance: "I think Bruno and The Smeezingtons would be excellent for a 1990's Mariah throwback songs" (74,542). "She should work with Miguel and Happy Perez" (74,440). "She should listen to Bruno Mars' Unorthodox Jukebox" (74,379). "She should collaborate with Frank Ocean, Miguel, and The Weekend" (74,368). "She needs to work with Bruno Mars and The Smeezingtons and Miguel" (73,521). Repetitive, am I? Lol. You put the B in banal, buddy.

Stellar even went to the Potter's House Church with Mimi and Roc and Roe. So I know things are still tainted. I just hope Mimi isn't doubling down on the contrived drama, on the low this time. This is a time when even Mary J. Blige is tweeting curse tweets to her ex husband all the while promoting her forthcoming CD. These are "desperate" times for divas. Janet pops out a baby at fifty and files for divorce before introducing the cub to the public. "Promotion" is a long game these days, with lots of personal life drama at stake, or so it seems. But as for Mimi, at least she is going toward church diva instead of club diva, for the season at least. Lol. Oh now I am reading that MJB said her twitter got "hacked" that she didn't tweet those foul things about her ex. OK then.

Mariah doesn't need a cowriter for her lyrics, she writes her best lyrics she she writes alone. I don't care if she interpolates a sample or two into a song but she doesn't need several other cowriters like Crystal who like JD seems to be stuck creatively in the mid 2000's.

You're Mine (Eternal), Infinity, and I Don't have all charted. With better promotion and execution (and material) she could easily score another hit. Especially since it finally seems like LA and Epic have decided she's still a viable asset.

I think Bruno and The Smeezingtons would be excellent for a 1990's Mariah throwback songs ala Someday. Or an epic ballad. When I Was Your Man is basically the male version of We Belong Together.

She needs the right promo not riding the subway in an evening gown or taking her children to the playground in a evening gown. She also needs to give straight forward answers when she's interviewed because she turns off a lot of people when she rambles.

And also to MCA family. Nice to see Mariah at the Potter's House today with TD Jakes. I was wondering when we would see them connected again. Today is a nice day for it. I wonder if her whole family attended. Here is also hoping her next project includes a massive gospel tune a la Fly Like a Bird.

Promotion actually has been a problem since 2013. MIAM may have had some promo but most people had no idea that Mariah was releasing an album, heck most people think the last album Mariah released was Memoirs. Now I can't blame her for the lack of promotions for "#Beautiful" and MIAM because she had personal problems, but I think MIAM would have done a lot better had it been promoted and was not released at a time where she had personal issues, also delaying the album after the success of "Beautiful" (which in itself would have done better if the injury didn't happen) lead to people moving on and not knowing when it actually came out, the momentum was lost. The album, although not my favorite, had some solid songs and she experimented with her sound. So I don't doubt she'll deliver her side.

Hahah you killed me with "no Stella" produced songs, it's not far fetched because "can nobody, can nobody tell me" that the Remy Ma remix wasn't "remixed" *cough copy paste free software cough* by Mishka Bear.

I'd like to see Mariah co-write a song with Julia Michael, her song Issues could really work with Mariah's voice. Or she should go the uptempo way, yesterday in the gym I was pleasantly surprised to hear a dance remix of YME, so something upbeat on which a nice zumba choreography could be done would definitely help in gaining popularity.

LA Reid has no choice (74,531)

None of his artists (including JLo) are really panning out right now. He has a global superstar on his roster, someone who can actually sell and has a proven track record of that (200 million albums and records sold). So he has to put all his eggs in the MC basket. What Mariah has to do to fulfill her end of the agreement is create the songs. The songs she is capable of making. Yes some clever collaborations with the hottest quality artists but also ballads like "Butterfly", and "If It's Over". Songs that make you feel something no matter who you are. She also has to be able to put her full energy into promoting. Which has never really been a problem for her (even MIAMTEC had some promotion). She'll have to step it up though.

Letting people write songs for Mariah (74,530)
by darrian liu from taiwan

I would be okay with it, but I don't think it would happen. I think Mariah is very hands-on with her creative process and the most she'd do is the regular co-writing session. I just think she needs new collaborators, because I'm getting tired of JD producing almost everything she releases. She needs fresh collabs. Write something with Sia, that's a must. Collab with Daft Punk and The Weeknd (both combined., on their own they're good but imo there's something different when they both join forces). Beyonce and Gaga are definitely nice collabs, but I think Solange would be even better than her sister in the Mariah collab, as well as Bruno. If she doesn't want to collab, then just record and produce everything by herself, no other producers (definitely no Stella). Record with a guitarist or a pianist and make one whole album showcasing the singer-songwriter side of her. I think it would be a good one.

I thought the same thing too as I indicated in my earlier post that Epic now has her in high priority again; makes us the fans heave a sigh of relief. Lol. I'm expecting this to be Mariah's return to form and yes that includes ballads. Write big songs for that big voice and unleash "The Voice" again. As Jermaine Dupri once said, "She's the one to sing when the voice needs to be heard." Right now we need that voice.

Ironically, I just listened to that remix too. Lol. It's my favorite Mariah Rap-sung collaboration ever, and In my opinion the best. She got it right with this one. It's melodic, memorable, and haunting at the same time. This remix is one of the reasons why I don't get mad when she kinda misses the mark with unnecessary ones like "#Beatiful" feat. Asap rocky or "Triumphant".
