I'm sorry but I don't understand how she could blame the dancers. She should'vd walked out on her own. When she said that, I couldn't believe it. She should take more responsibility. I would've blamed Stella more. Why didn't Stella walk in and take her off stage. She's the manager.

Did Andrew wrote this piece? It's word for word what has been claimed by him. Especially calling the successful SSFT disastrous. Some of us deserve a writing credit like the poster who called Stella and Company sycophants.

You can read the article online here. It's savage, but mainly true. I'm glad Stella seems to be getting a lot of flack. I wonder if she'll respond?

I read that last night and it basically states what a lot of us lambs on this board have thought and stated for a while now. Very sad if it has come to this. Mariah can turn it around, but she needs to do that sooner rather than later. Clean house, take a break and get qualified and realistic help with her career.

Yes my hope is that this terrible experiment is coming to a dramatic halt, end, finish, all of the above. Lol. Time for her to clear out this circus of dancers who cared more about their steps and routine, than helping her from looking a fool left on stage with no ears, the blusheriffic "manager" and her family of leeches and the teenage social media manager. Why Mimi was ever in, who knows, delusion, addiction, ego, all of the above? At some point though, she and Stellar have to see the point of diminishing returns. I do think she allowed herself to try the all press is good press BS. Whether she allowed it, was forced in some way like her old team suggested, IDK but I do hope this stops. I thought the media blackout would help and maybe it did allow her to read her own press and fully assess the mess. Mimi L. I think her being silent on hired hand is because she could barely be convincing on the engagement, so she really doesn't want to put anything in writing on this latest deal with "best dumb ass ever" Bryan.

It is possible that at first she bought the "all publicity is good publicity" crap but now realizes what bull crap that was. But you are right when you say she has been in on it. Nothing happens without her approval. But she gets swayed a lot by her entourage and yes people like she did even before like Nick said. I just hope this blind item is true and we are getting a farewell soon.

Thankfully Mishka didn't torture us with those photos on insta haha. But I'm pretty sure they knew what was happening, wouldn't even be surprised if this was staged. First of all she was wearing super fitted pants and while it's normal for pants to slide down a little if you sit, it's impossible for Mariah to not have felt it when her entire ass was out. What makes me feel like this was intentional is all the nip slips we had in the past year. Never in Mariah's 27 years in the business did we have as many nip slips at this frequency as we did the last 2 years. Plus even if we think that this was an accident, it speaks volumes about her team not covering her up immediately even if they didn't know there were cameras. As for her airport look, I agree, she looked really good and it reminded me of her 2008 self.

That whole mess could have been avoided and Mariah would not have been turned into a punchline (example the award show hosts poking fun at her sabotage claims everytime there was a glitch) had Stella just been clever enough to go with the joint statement. She's burning every bridge for Mariah and while Mariah is seemingly eating up this "empower women" bull shit, it's doing nothing to empower her career.

Good point about Mariah saying that she doesn't want to talk about her personal life anymore. If I'm not mistaken, she said something like she used to keep it private and that used to work pretty well for her implying that ever since her personal life became more public, things started going bad. I hope it was a direct dig at Stella because ever since Stella came, we got the abundance of relationship leaks. Starting from those bizarre kissing pictures of MC and James on the boat (which clearly was taken by someone in close range and not a paparazzi) to all those staged Bryan pics at the beach.

"From diva to laughing stock" (72,941)
by Jamie from UK

Unfortunately there is a double page spread in a U.K. newspaper on Mariah saying how she's become a laughing stock. This is very sad to read, this feels much worse than the Glitter era now. I hoping there's some kind of change coming soon. She proved last week singing VOL that she's still got it. But she now needs to get decent management as Stella has contributed to this mess, but also Mariah needs to refocus in herself and get herself in a better place. I love Mariah and always will but she can't carry on like this.

Re: Grammys comment (72,872) (72,938)
by this_is_qhm from the Philippines

While it is true that the Grammys were beyond cruel to her in '96 what with all their focusing and zooming in on Mariah's expression after every award she lost, the frustration for this recent comment is mostly stems from the fact that it just makes her come across as some petty, arrogant grown ass woman who still can't get over a 21-year incident when she has accepted three Grammys 11 years ago. It makes her seem like she only accepted those awards because out of courtesy and nothing else. Questions regarding the credibility of the Grammys have existed for ages now. But this issue really isn't about the Grammys. It's about just how poorly Mariah can answer questions when she's not being careful (or what other people might call "being honest"). This behavior can only be justified by people who know what happened in '96, not the general public - an audience that used to love her but now can't even stand her 90% of the time. So it's really not a matter of which institution she suddenly decides to criticize, or whether or not her opinion has any validity to it. Like someone else has said here, she can't afford to just burn bridges on a whim or outburst.

My only standard for Mariah is for her to make the great music that I know she's capable of. I fell in love with her music and she hasn't been giving us her best music in my opinion. Yeah I talk about her clothes and her pushing the twins in our faces at inappropriate times, but at the end of the day I really don't care.

If she may feel like she's in a place that she doesn't know how to get out of why did she allow it to start? The negative leaks didn't start when the tour was announced. This has been going on for awhile and she's been in on the game from the beginning in my opinion. I don't believe that she's so oblivious to the outside world that she's just now seeing how much negative press she has been getting. She allowed a lot of this to happen.

I don't think people necessarily hold her to a different standard. We're basing our opinions on things she has said in the past. You can't say you believe in one thing, do the opposite and expect people not to scratch their heads and wonder what's going on. If Madonna did a video like "I Don't" - I probably wouldn't think anything of it because she has always been that way. Her material has been sexual in nature since the beginning of her career. Mariah hasn't always been the way she is now and that's why a lot of us are concerned. For instance - she speaks about her strong faith in God (which Nick confirmed), brags about her rule of no sex before marriage and being sexually innocent, yet she allowed nude bathtub photos to be posted for the public to see and televised herself emotionally cheating while engaged. It makes no sense.

This is a truly smart and well considered view on her and women in the pop business facing age. Also, I believe that if a younger female artist would have released "I don't" it would be a top 10 hit already.

Grammys (72,928)
by Tameka walker from United states
| |
|
|
I have seen some of what she said about the Grammys. My thoughts is if she has a great album and do the work she is capable of she could end up with the Grammys you never know. I doubt she would get album of the year because they never give it to r& b acts. I look at Emenem and how he dissed the Grammys and he still went on to win. So I do believe that if she puts out great music she can still be a Grammys darling. She needs to work with LA Reid and other people to make a great product. I do think that people holds Mariah to a different standard and that is just not fair. Other artists do the same thing and nothing is said. She is right she has to make like five million comebacks before she is accepted.

No because the very next set of photos showed her wearing her bra out and then a major plumber's crack moment when she sat down and her entire ass and underwear was visible. Not just a glimpse, the whole entire thing was completely out.

I can understand her being "stuck" and not knowing how to get out, but I can't understand why on earth would she ever willingly reshoot those MW scenes to make it look like she was cheating on Packer with Tanaka. She can't blame anyone for those but herself. She willingly went and shot those when they could have gone with any storyline. It's not like Packer said they can't use his footage either because his team denied it and he was even shown in some scenes. Them trying to rewrite and basically imply at the end that she broke up with James made her look like a liar and completely put her credibility on line even for fans because right after that I saw many people question whether she has "changed the narratives" of her previous break ups as well. Now no matter how much she says she hopes it was about the music and tour, it won't change anything. They said they had over 800 hours of footage from the original recordings yet they go on and reshoot stupid scenes.

Beyoncé (72,925)
by B from USA

To put my comments about Beyoncé being phonie and not being from the ghetto in to context the town I live in is the second poorest in the state. Here's a link. I grew up in the projects raised by a single mother who did the best she could. I witnessed overdoses, blatant rascim and homophobia, and drive by shooting as a child. She just seems fake to me. The home she lived in while growing up is considered a mansion where I'm from.

Grammys (72,924)
by Manny from U.S.
| |
|
|
With all this discussion on the Mariah snub I wonder if some people know how the Grammys are chosen. I used to think the Grammys were out to get Mariah in 1996. But there is no Grammy panel deciding who wins the awards. The Recording Academy, which are a group of music industry people like engineers, musicians, and others who vote for them. I guess you can say they are awarded by their peers. I took some college music classes and my professor clarified all that. We had a discussion on Grammy snubs and many people thought there was a Grammy panel or judges. He said he was part of the academy and each year he voted.
