The show must go on (71,678) by Andrew from UK
Celine Dion at the O2 Arena, London in June. Just found out and am p*ssing my pants with excitement. Figuratively of course. Until tonight when it may be literal. That would mean I've seen Mariah, Whitney and Celine live. Never thought it would happen. Of course, I don't actually know anyone else who likes Celine. But the show must go on.

New pics / Tanaka (71,677) by Mara from United States
I have to admit I am loving this casual Mariah in recent pics. I think this is as casual as we will see her again. I used to like the way she would dress on off days during the Rainbow and Charmbraclet days but this is the closest to casual we have seen her in a long time. It makes her look younger when she doesn't always glam it up. Just seeing her do normal things with the kids like taking them to karate or gym class or whatever is very refreshing. Even though she still has an entourage, it's refreshing not seeing Stella and her daughter tagging along with her big purse and iPhone in hand. Whether it is real with Tanaka or not, it is nice seeing her do what us normal people do like go for yogurt ad what not. Tanaka does seem like he is good with the kids and I gotta wonder how that makes Nick feel seeing that but this is what happens when people divorce with kids. Although it's not always public as this. I know we are thinking this is all fabricated for the show but if this is not real at all, that means MC is alone and lonely and I hate to think of anyone that alone being since we know what is going on with family and how the only people around her seem to be the ones that are paid. For Mariah's sake, if he makes her happy, I say enjoy it. I really don't know what to make of it or what the kids are told as to who he is but it's no business of mine and it's just nice seeing her do normal things without the manager and crew tagging along at every absolute outing personal and not. That was what always led me to believe the James thing was not real. Meaning why would she want a third wheel tagging along if she was happy with this man? That and the fact the kids never interacted with him. Maybe this is real and that is why we don't see Stella everywhere and her doing more normal things with Bryan and the kids. I hate to say it but I think Mariah sees Nick in Bryan and she is replacing what would have been with Nick and the twins with her and Bryan. Going back to the scenes we saw with Roc on Tanaka's leg and she was just staring at them. Maybe I'm reading too much into this all, but I just don't want to see anyone all alone with no real family, friends, partner. I know she has her children but her life just seems very lonely and like if you take away the paid help there are no real people around her anymore.

Funny review of MW (71,676) by RibbonB from USA
This was short and sweet. That Mariah have half AF about her new years eve show and now us gving 1/4 AF about the last MW episode staged scene. Now she is out in her favorite tabloid exploiting her daughter with the help prominently giving her a piggy back ride while ten people take Roc and Roe to gym class. Such a pathetic display all the while she is wearing the big ring. Sad when you let your help/man/backup dancer look closer to your kids than to you. She continues to normalize cringe-worthy behavior. It is sad that some people actually think it is a good thing to let new men "bond" with young children at regular intervals.

Re: The rap game (71,671) (71,675) by Licia from USA
You said she's just trying to launch them into fame. My whole point was many of the people she has worked with already have their own fame. I can agree that certain ones didn't really bring really good raps or anything special to the table though.

Re: Everyone asking: why open for Lionel? (71,670) (71,674) by RibbonB from USA
Mariah could also learn about the senselessness and impracticality of funding leeches while on tour and through life. Maybe that is why she has stayed on tour to fund her new "friendships" and alternate facts family of leeches. The scene in the NE movie where they all had their own tour buses and flew their massive entourages around with them, while being actively broke was very telling. Mariah is the only star in her show, but she tries to elevate thirsty folks so they can ride with her, which is probably more ludicrous than dragging along no talent sychophants.

Re: Everyone asking: why open for Lionel? (71,670) (71,673) by RibbonB from USA
Yes Luke James is an impressive singer and fine AF. "Hakeem" from "Empire" made a good but cuter Michael Bivins. Crusterella has said that the Mariah Biopic will deal with her childhood, so you know it will be messy and controversial. Stellar knows nothing about music and Mariah is way off base lately. Here is hoping this last show has something different and "better" than what they have been unfurling for the past few months. I see her stunts have broken down even most of the die hard Stella and MW defenders. Stella has been terrible for about a year now.

Re: The rap game (71,634) (71,672) by May from Denmark
Lol you are right but good grief I won't deny it, I didn't listen to Lousinity that many times to even bother learning the lyrics. I just recall the chorus because my little daughter liked to sing it around.

Re: The rap game (71,631) (71,671) by May from Denmark
Licia, that's not what I meant when I named Gucci Mane, I threw his name there to talk about her late awful selection of rappers and what the sound and lyrics they give to her tracks.

Re: Everyone asking: why open for Lionel? (71,668) (71,670) by Licia from USA
I agree. I don't want Stella's involved with anything. Lol. Anyway I don't feel that Mariah or Stella would make a movie that really talks about uncomfortable topics like her vocal issues, issues with her siblings, or her divorce from Nick (she freely talks about the TM divorce). It really would be a story about unicorns and rainbows. It would be cool if they found a cast if Mariah's that can actually sing like her like they did for the Ne biopic. That was the best part of the Ne biopic for me. They not only picked some pretty good actors, they also found some great singers who could match their voices. I knew the guy who played Ricky was an amazing singer and actor, but I didn't know Luke James could blow like that. He made me believe he was Johnnie. Lol. It was impressive.

Re: Bryan's World season two (71,666) (71,669) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Honestly, if Mariah felt awkward doing the scenes, she should have just said she won't do it. It's as simple as that. But she did it and then knowing that it's 95% scripted and re-written with only 5% reality, she still went on defending how it's a "docu-series" and then got pissed at anyone calling it a reality show. It's really sad that it has come to this. Also I've noticed that whenever Mariah and Bryan are pictured, it's always like he's her bodyguard or employee. We never see them hold hands or smile at each other or whatever. Even in the "relationship" with Packer, they'd hold hands and he'd put his hand around her back and all, this time no such thing. Why even bother faking a relationship? You're a music legend, why are you lowering yourself to cheap reality show stunts. I can't even say "Kardashian stunts" because the Kardashians have more well thought out and better quality storylines. They'd never be caught dead with messy episodes like the ones Stella is making.

Re: Everyone asking: why open for Lionel? (71,663) (71,668) by RibbonB from USA
Yes the New Edition Biopic was great. I hope Mariah does not do a Biopic, certainly not one produced with Crusterella involved. Crusty will only bring ruin IMO. Mariah's story might be told well in the hands of BET like NE. Her first TV interview was with Video Soul in what 1991? Great stufff. I wonder who they would cast as Mariah?

MW missing great performances? Why? (71,667) by Sheila from United States
This was not a docuseries, it was a reality show about Mariah's romantic life and about annoying dancers. The show did nothing to help Mariah's image problem and did not deliver one great vocal moment. Stella and co. including Mariah foiled it. They wasted a golden moment to shine. What it showcases is Mariah has lost touch, she has no real friends other than ones on "payroll". It showcased her as alone.

Re: Bryan's World season two (71,662) (71,666) by Luke from United Kingdom
You're right, I just think Stella underestimated how thirsty he is. To me it's almost like Mariah herself feels awkward doing some of the scenes lol.

She's foiled us guys (71,665) by Danny from Uk
The problem with MW is that she led us to believe it was a documentary series with behind the scenes footage (there's been a little). It's a drama series and she knew it and all the time she fiercely defended it, most recently to Ryan Seacrest when she got a little irked to hear him call it a reality show. Denying the truth doesn't make it less truthfull. She led us to think it was for the fans and herself, something she could always look back on what she did in 10 years? Look back and cringe at Stella, Bryan and the rest of the looney tunes flaunting around, spending her money, abusing her fame and showing complete disregard for a legacy and fan base she's worked so tirelessly to create. When I listen to Butterfly or even Glitter it's a completely different person.

Ribbon since you brought up NE and their biopic, wasn't it awesome? I wasn't sure how it would turn out but they did a great job. They picked a great cast. I was not expecting them to go as deep as they did, but I appreciate them for letting us in. Hopefully Stella and Mariah are taking notes for this supposed surprise biopic. Tell us the real story and not a fairytale.

Re: Bryan's World season two (71,659) (71,662) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
It will never be "Bryan's World", it will always be "Stella's World". Bryan was just the "flavor of the season (1)". A side piece (in all senses).

Season 2? (71,661) by Lila from United States
So Mariah Carey Australia is reporting that there could possibly be a season 2 of Mariah's World due to the show's "global success" - what a crock. This better not come to pass.

Bryan's World season two (71,659) by Luke from United Kingdom
So Bryan's World season two is apparently likely to happen. Yay. I could cope with one season as a little side venture but it's awfully acted. Who is Mariah kidding when she says "I don't know when I'm going to do a tour like this again so it's nice to be able to document it." When the whole thing hasn't even been about the tour but rather the build up of Bryanna Twinkletoes and the rest of drivelling squad. This is getting silly now. I hope she's stops trying to sugar coat it by calling it a "docu-series" and just starts being honest and calls it for what it is.

Re: New song: Side Effects comparison / The Weekend (71,656) (71,658) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
Ohhh. That's right, they were at Leo's party, not in the studio. I let my daydream get away from me, because I love The Weekend and his sound is so ethereal and moody, so I would love for them to do a collab. Sometimes his sound gives me vibes of a dark-Butterfly album. The layers, the lyrics, the personal connection every note. Even if The Weekend was just a producer on the track, it would crush.

Re: New song: Side Effects comparison / The Weekend (71,652) (71,656) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
The SE comparisons came from a fan on UKMix, not Mariah's team so we can't be sure. Also as far as we know Mariah never mentioned (nor was she spotted) being in the studio with The Weeknd. The only time we saw them together was when she attended Leo DiCaprio's fund raiser. The track that will be released soon is a collaboration with YG and JD.

Re: Everyone asking: why open for Lionel? (71,639) (71,654) by Andrew from UK
Don't you think that this is bizarre on Mariah's part? She's the one with the so-called "music in her". At once, she wants to be both Hoodriah and pop(ular) Mariah. She's recording nonsense drivel that no one wants to hear, but, at the same time, performing popular hits that she doesn't really stray anywhere near to in the studio. And when she does, and does it well (we all know the most recent songs that shoulda and coulda), she ignores them. Make no bones about it, she won't go out on Lionel Richie's stage singing - sorry, strike singing, I meant performing - performing Triumphant and Side Effects and Infinnidee Remix and Infuhmuzz. No fecker wants to hear them. So who does she think she is (in the literal sense of the phrase)? If you're Hoodriah then go get some gangstas who drone on about objectifying women in the back of Lambourghinis paid for with drug money and double up with them. Don't double up with Lionel Richie. How bizarre. Appeal to the middle masses? That's all well and good. But when your latest releases are all Crap Hop, the middle masses will forget you as soon as the curtain comes down on your Greatest Hits show and not flick a look, let alone a penny, in your direction. It's almost as if Mariah likes to kick sand in the face of those people who actually still give a shit about her relevancy and her output. I have no idea who she really is anymore.
