New MW clip (71,206) by Mara from United States
So the latest clip of MW is out and can somone answer a question I have in comeplete sincerity? In the clip you see Monroe trying on her dress for the wedding and we see Mariah the mother gushing over her beautiful little girl, very nice moment. Then we see Mariah, supposedly trying on her gown for her final fitting before her wedding to Packer. Why then, do we see Tanaka planted there looking unhappy? Wasn't this when MW was to be focused on the storyline of her wedding to Packer and touring at the same time. I would think the final fitting for your gown would be a private moment and forgive me, but why have your dancer there for that. He looked strangely out of place. Was this the plot they were going for all along? As a back up? To stir things up? Was this scene just edited in to look like he was there watching? Does it look that way to you guys? I mean at this point we know it's a staged mess, but I don't know where this can go from here. Where is the footage when we saw cameras following MC around and she went to that Elton John fundraiser looking so beautiful in that black dress. We need more of that, the superstar side.

Mel B (71,205) by Mirage from Unicornatopia
I would like for Mel B to comment on the vocal decline of her own voice. Oh wait, my bad. You need a voice to start with, don't you?

Kelly slammed Mariah? I hope they didn't share pins.

Re: Latest Stella interview (71,198) (71,203) by MusicfanJ from Germany
I can't wait for the day Stella gets fired or at least is in the background where she belongs. But I have hope that Mariah notices how bad her manager is. Sometimes I think she only choose her because Stella is the complete opposite of Tommy. (No compliment.)

Re: Docu-series (71,191) (71,202) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
I've really been enjoying Mariah's World, but 100% agree with you. That clip is exactly what I was hoping for: specifics about her voice, what she does to maintain, more of the creation of her music. That's the problem, Stella isn't a music person.

James Packer / NYE (71,201) by Dan from US
My boyfriend, non Mariah fan, after everything that happend, said to me: Did anyone ever think it was her ex James Packer who paid someone off to sabatoge her? Nevermind Dick clark productions. Hmm. Iv'e also lost complete interest in Mariah recently from her show to all the people surrounding her, it seems way to dramatic and I can't deal with her manager and her whole family way too much.

Re: Docu-series (71,191) (71,200) by Luke from United Kingdom
Definitely. Like background info on her work and how she looks after her voice and how her voice operates. Also that outfit is everything. She looks like someone from a royal family, so classy and elegant.

Re: Latest Stella interview (71,192) (71,198) by Dennis from Miami, FL
Tommy at least was in love or obsessed with Mariah. Stella? She doesn't give a damn about Mariah. All she needs is more and more attention and money. At some point I thought that Mariah had made a deal to make Stella famous.

I also didn't see any problems with whistles. She has problems with other registers. I'm more worried about her high voice. If she had lost the whistles I would not be upset. I wish her chest and head voice to be intact. During Gliiter time some tabloids were speculating that she had lost her whistle register due to tranquilizers and antidepressants.

Re: Article: Mel B wonders if Mariah "doesn't have that voice" (71,195) (71,196) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I too think the backing track has the whistles to have more impact when she whistles over them live. Regardless, I wouldn't blame her if she even thought of just lipping it because she didn't want to risk it on live TV. But the whistles weren't loud enough so I think it's safe to assume that she was indeed going to whistle over the backing track.

She doesn't lip the high notes, she sings over them. Mariah sings effortlessly in her whistle register.

Re: sue (71,190) (71,194) by Carlos from Brazil
Mariah's image in Brazil is also a little tarnished after the cancellation of the tour and the NYE. The Brazilian journalist José Norberto Flesch who is known as a guru about upcoming tours and events in music was asked if Mariah could be booked for Rock in Rio someday and his answer was "No. Rock in Rio is a festival of success." These are rough days.

Kelly Price has slammed Mariah time after time (71,193) by Sheila from United States
Kelly Price and Mariah will never work together again, Kelly has taken a few times to throw major shade at Mariah. Kelly Price has a bad reputation in the music business as being difficult and nasty. Even K. Michelle called Kelly Price a devil.

Hey Mara, this is the link. It's not really an interview, she just gave the quotes I posted. I bet Tommy is out there laughing because Stella is proving him right every day with this unprofessional attitude.

Docu-series (71,191) by Lara from Middle East
Go to the 6th minute mark (approximately). That's what Mariah's World should have been. After watching some parts on instagram, I wished they kept the original name "Mariah's squad".

Re: sue (71,188) (71,190) by Licia from USA
It's not a matter of whether or not she wanted to perform there and that's no excuse. If they hadn't received payment by the time allotted then they should have cancelled way before two days of the concert supposedly happening. That's not fair to the fans. If this was in fact a non-payment issue for Mariah, her team should have handled the situation in more of a timely manner. My gripe is not with Mariah. My issue is with the people on her team who are paid to handle things like this and they dropped ball.

Re: sue (71,188) by Nikki from usa
Mariah tends to wait until the last minute, until she absolutely has to end it. I'm sure it was a matter of "it's on its way" and Mariah saying ok until there was no more time left. She wouldn't cancel unless she had to. Mariah has been trying to get down South for awhile now, I'm sure she didn't want to cancel.

Latest Stella interview (71,186) by Mara from United States
MimiL do you have a link to the latest interview Stella did? I can't believe it was brought up again about what Tommy said. Maybe that's why she wanted Mariah to take a break from social media? This is getting a little out of hand. I understand she really is into portraying th female BossLady attitude but c'mon at this point it's becoming embarrassing. I can start to think her attitude is a turn off to professionals wanting to even work with Mariah. She thinks nothing of bashing people in a "high school tough girl" type of way instead of a professional in charge of Mariah Carey the legend's career. I don't think she should be banished so to speak from Mariah's circle but step aside and give the PR portion to someone that can come across a little more polished.

Re: New Stella quotes about Tommy (71,172) (71,185) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
I'd like to think that Stella must have picked up the word "unbridled" from listening to Butterfly, but then again I have to remind myself that the extent of her knowledge of Mariah's music career may just be limited to the fact that Mariah is a singing legend. That's just about it.

Re: Why [...] mad? (71,158) (71,184) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
I'm not letting negativity thrive. The webmaster has been generous enough to let everyone's opinion be heard, even the ones most would consider nasty. So stating that isn't an answer to me, but is rather a message to the moderator of this board. Is he letting negativity thrive, then? Even if you see posts from the most polarizing and outspoken "critical" ones here, Andrew - you know that deep inside he still does have this level of respect you're talking about, if you really look hard enough. They have butt heads with Eric several times in the past but then you still see his posts out here. It's all in the name of fairness. We're all Mariah fans after all. Now if you deem those points of view as hate messages under the guise of being "strong opinions", then you're free to believe so. If you feel those don't have a place on a Mariah fan board, then you're also entitled to do so. If you think that this is just "tolerance for negativity" tagged as "fairness / respect of freedom", then so be it. But ultimately, whether those messages get posted or not is up to the webmaster who has been nothing but fair to all of us. I believe it has been fully established by now that this isn't some sanctuary for Mariah fans where they can be shielded from all sorts of perceived negativity. Like someone else has stated here before, if anyone doesn't like how things are done here, then they can always start a board of their own, full of rainbows and butterflies. Just don't come out here constantly wondering why there are so many negative comments because all you're ever gonna get is a reaction in the lines of, "Ooh, someone's new to the internet."

Article: Mel B wonders if Mariah "doesn't have that voice" (71,183) by Andrew from Australia
Mel B did mention something valid though. MC planned to lip sync the high notes of Emotions - it was on the playback while she was talking on stage. It makes you wonder how many times she had done this with the high notes in the past. Did her fiercely loyal manager explain why this was the case?

Re: The Weeknd and Selena Gomez? (71,178) (71,182) by RibbonB from USA
IDK, the Weeknd, is meh, IMO. But if they could come up with a good product, then cool. Mariah working with Raphael Saadiq could be cool. She needs something a little bit experimental if not just straight up R&B. I just hope whatever she does, there is no trendy phrases, shade or general pettiness. Good thoughtful lyrics are essential.

What's gonna bring in the ratings? (71,180) by JAXGH from United States
"I wanted it to be more serious, and yet they chose to go another direction which felt very reality TV and that's not my bag." Where is this Mariah? I can't believe Stella somehow managed to lure her into doing this "docu" series. What a shame. Mollie's mess, Tanaka being injured (we never saw happen) the other dancer being injured (we never saw happen) the fight between Anthony and Mary Ann, the nanny "not bringing" her passport (we never saw happen), Stella and the hairstylist feud, are all sensationalized bullsh*t. Everything about the show is staged. They are all cool with each other in real life. All of them knew they had to act once they signed the contracts. I was cringing when Anthony said "for some reason, Mariah and I's chemistry is off tonight". Lmao how much faker can you be. His line delivery is atrocious. To be honest, knowing that this was all a set up, you can kind of judge who's a good actor. Mary Ann's good, Stella's good, Mollie is bad, Anthony is horrible. This show didn't prove anything. It was just a roll of stupid drama that never mattered and didn't help to show Mariah's credibility as "the hardest working woman" in Hollywood. It's just a series of unknown attention whores (Stella, Tanaka, Mollie, Kristofer) wanting more fame. Mariah did them a favor but Mariah's brand just cheapened when this nonsense show happened. You can't expect people to see you as a great talent when you do a reality show and pretend it's not a reality show. Mariah is not discerning her reality at all. I just want this series to be over and Mariah do something more helpful to career. Her name is synonymous to "lip sync" now. It's so sad.
