Re: Meet and greet (65,652) (65,657) by darrian liu from taiwan
There's definitely something wrong. During the SSFT she looked absolutely joyous and she's confident. In this leg of the Vegas residency her voice is still as strong but there's something in the way she presents herself, like there's something going on. Especially with the crying clips, it makes me worry about her.

Re: Meet and greet (65,652) (65,656) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I don't know first hand of course, but I read about it on UKMix from people who were in attendance. Two different members talked about it, so that sounds believable. But I was wondering if anyone on this board can confirm this. If she actually is upset about something, that combined with the complete silence of the Kardashian wannabes is really something to worry about. I hope she is doing fine. No matter how much I complain sometimes, I care about her well being and I hope whatever happened is fixed soon.

Re: Meet and greet (65,651) (65,655) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Well she might have been upset and they did say that the fans would be getting a partial refund. Plus I don't even know if the rumor of her is crying is true. I asked for confirmation. She is human too, she can be upset and instead of cancelling the whole show (which people complained about during the first leg) she gave them a good performance but she probably wasn't feeling good enough for a meet and greet. I see nothing wrong with it if she has returned the money.

Re: Article: Mariah Carey "threw a laptop out the window" (65,649) (65,653) by Andrew from UK
Total nonsense. You are guessing. But following on from that, why not plant a story saying "Mariah Carey makes large donation to AIDS Foundation" or "Mariah Carey to build schools in Africa". Better still, how about Mariah actually goes and does those things with her limitless time and endless wads of Packer's cash. Would be much better publicity than acting like a self-involved lush on entertainment news. "Mariah Carey throws laptop" serves only to make people think she's even more of a spoiled brat than they already do.

Re: Meet and greet (65,648) (65,652) by Malcolm from Asia
You know, as I watch some clips from her last Vegas show, I sensed something different, the way she sang the songs, she forgot the lyrics on WBT etc., I don't know but it seems odd for me. And now you mentioned that she apparently cries and cancelled VIP meet and greet, it adds up to my suspicion that there's something going on. Especially that she/her team also doesn't posts on social media, it's getting weird. Maybe I'm overthinking and I hope I am.

Re: Meet and greet (65,648) (65,651) by Andrew from UK
Cancelling the Meet and Greet is another example of Mariah's total lack of interest in her fans. So she can perform a show for an hour and a half and accept the large amount of revenue from it but can't have some photos taken with fans who have paid for, and looked forward to, it for a long time? Crocodile tears on stage won't gain her sympathy from a very many people, that ship having long since sailed with the dawn on the narcissism era. If she's okay to perform a show she's probably okay to have a few photographs taken.

Re: Article: Mariah Carey "threw a laptop out the window" (65,649) (65,650) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I can actually believe that her manager would pull such a stunt, especially now that it has been so long and they didn't issue a clapback (whereas Stella is notorious for her immature clapbacks when it comes to the rumors about her). But if they planted these stories, they should know they are playing with fire. Little rumors like "Mariah will only walk on a carpet of rose petals" or "Mariah flies her dog first class" are fine. It keeps her diva image up (which I still think does her no favors but whatever). However when they bring in the name of another big name celeb, especially someone as big as Beyonce, things get complicated. It also adds fuel to the "Mariah can't stand other big name female artists". Honestly Maiah needs a professional manager and a separate PR expert. Not someone who is a C grade producer now experimenting with managing and representing an international icon.

Article: Mariah Carey "threw a laptop out the window" (65,649) by David Baker from United States
Doesn't anyone get it? These antics are all carefully orchestrated to keep a [...] singer in the public eye. Her management plants these ridiculous stories and then, in some cases, denies that they happened. [...]

Meet and greet (65,648) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Did any of you attend the show? Is it true that Mariah cancelled the meet and greet? Apparently the show was 15 minutes late because they were announcing the cancellation to the VIP ticket buyers. Is it also true that she was apparently shedding a few tears during "I don't wanna cry" and some other song? Can anyone confirm these?

No it's fine now. It wasn't working when I wrote the post. You are right about the silence, it is weird.

Is it still down? I see the widget here on MCArchives website and I just pulled it up a few seconds ago and it's still working. That would be great if that was the case but I don't want to get my hopes up as of yet. The silence is yet another manifestation of the incompetence of her social media management. How are you back in Vegas and there's zero talk about it on your social media? I didn't even know the exact day she was coming back until I came here and saw people talking about opening night. The silence is weird.

Re: Mariah's voice (65,638) (65,645) by Terna from Nigeria
That performance happens to be my favorite and I watch it quite often just to gloat at how miserable Jennifer Lopez and Kylie Jenner were in the end lol. FYI she had bronchitis during that time if I'm not mistaken so if she truly was pitchy she's excused after all she's "just human". A week later or there about she performed at Michael & Kelly the same medley and was her amazing self as usual.

Mimi on Empire (65,644) by RibbonB from USA
This first peek of Mariah on Empire looks great. Yay, I hope this works well for her and that they have a great song together. Mariah's voice is so raspy. This looks great.

Haha in that case congrats to Marissa for making it happen. But I doubt that she took back her social accounts. Speaking of the petition, why is it unavailable? Did someone take it down?

I agree with The Truth above, I am a die hard lamb for life but I can actually believe that Mariah would get upset and throw stuff because I throw stuff too when I get mad.

Article: Mariah Carey at Caesars Palace (65,641) by Betty from Canada
Great review but I was there and she started only fifteen minutes late mainly because there was a lady who were explaining to us VIP package holders that she has cancelled the meet & greet photos after the show.

Article: Mariah Carey brings spotlight to the Colosseum (65,640) by Betty from Canada
I just got back from my trip to Vegas to see her on opening night August 24th with a We Belong Together VIP package
that includes the meet & greet photos. Unfortunately for me and all the other lambs there that night, she did the show but she cancelled the meet & greet. I was so disappointed because they told us it was a scheduling conflict and that we would get a partial refund. I don't buy that story because she shed some tears during I Don't Wanna Cry and One Sweet Day. I wonder what really happened. Why did she do the show but not want to meet her lambs afterwards?

Re: Mariah's voice (65,624) (65,638) by Musti from UK
Watch Vision Of Love/Infinity live at the Billboard Awards. I think the whole thing makes my point pretty clear. You attempted to dissect yet you haven't actually said anything technical in your post to make you more than a casual listener (as you named it). If you honestly think that Mariah is still capable of the melisma of 1990 Mariah outside the studio, I really truly don't think you've been watching any of her live performances from this decade. You really shouldn't create this artificial standard that she herself is still trying to recreate. She is human and her voice changes just like any other human beings. You would really be doing yourself a favour if you begin to accept.

I notice something different since the United Nations event. Very quiet. No instagram post for weeks, latest tweet without hashtag and she liked a tweet since forever.

Neither Mariah nor Stella have been active on instagram for a couple of days now. Not even a mention that the new leg of Las Vegas started. Any thoughts?

Thoughts (65,635) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
Mariah did relatively fine for her first night at the Colosseum. I hope she gets better in the following shows and end it with a bang rather than a whimper. Meanwhile, on a completely unrelated note Britney Spears just released her best album in years while Carly Rae Jepsen dropped an EP of outtakes from last year's widely critically acclaimed E-mo-tion LP, which pretty much means I'm gonna revel in pop nirvana that will tide me over until the next few months, or hopefully long enough until we hear new material from Mariah. I really hope that Empire track is good enough to spark some public interest.

Ok, so when will this story be buried? Waiting for a Stella clapback but I guess she only does that when the rumors are concerning her family.
