Re: NBC Universal Summer Press Tour (64,962) (64,963) by Licia from USA
Lol I was on a real vacation. I had limited Internet on the cruise. It was hard not being able to get on social media, but between the splashes and the partying I survived. Lol.

Nigel American Idol shades MC (64,961) by RibbonB from USA
Lol. Nigel Lythgoe threw Mariah back a little shade when he was asked about her comments on Idol at her press thingee. He said this "I'm looking forward to Mariah's new series and wondering if Nicki Minaj may guest," the ex-executive producer tells Billboard.
Lol, could be possible, people were talking about the Stellar connection to producing Nicki's TV show.

Re: From Mariah's Facebook (64,956) (64,960) by Malcolm from Asia
I agree though. If they're pushing this act and defend that is not the real Mariah behind the cameras, they/she just really isolating her with the norm of today's generation. It maybe worked in the 80's, 90's, early 2000's, but not today, atleast 80% will not buy that. This generation wants real, simple, and sincere. Enough with the shirtless dancers, just go by yourself, that type of gimmicks are good with Britney and Madonna. The thing is, all of what's happening with her right now seems unsuitable, uncoordinated, and unfit for her. She have dancers on and off stage but she doesn't really dance, all they do is carry her around and a little this and that. She wears these bodysuits but she sings songs like Hero, One Sweet Day, Vision Of Love etc. It's like they doing that just for the sake of entertainment and not thinking what Mariah Carey is all about, but the truth is it's really not necessary to do. Because the reality is at the end of the day, she is not a performer, she is a S-I-N-G-E-R. Who could imagine an R&B, Gospel, Soul artist doing all of this, it's like putting a beef in a trifle, it's really a mismatch for what her music is.

Article: Mariah Carey talks "Mariah's World" (64,959) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
Season 7? Really? She was a mentor for a week then. She was a judge for the whole 13th season. Why am I even explaining this? It's just one of the saddest things ever when reporters don't even get the most basic facts straight before publishing it for the entire world to see.

I have to agree. She looks absolutely gorgeous and sexy without looking tacky. She's had moments where she has shown the girls and still looked great though. That red dress she wore to dinner with JD will forever be greatness for me.

There you go. An MCA post equivalent to "Mariah Carey in covered up breasts shocker" lol. Fair play, she looks absolutely amazing in that photo. That's Mariah Carey. Not the clown seen almost everywhere else recently.

Re: From Mariah's Facebook (64,945) (64,956) by Andrew from UK
Mariah Carey in regular clothes shooting out of a slide? Awesome. A normal person again. But straight back into the quite frankly annoying, obnoxious behaviour that most people think she's a twat for, and fewer and fewer "lambs" are prepared to accept. It isn't ironic. It isn't funny. It isn't entertaining. If this documentary is meant to glamorise Mariah's life and create a superstar diva image in the public's eye it is seriously out of sync with the times. People don't like pretentious, spoilt diva types, they like down-to-Earth Adele types and YouTube stars. The only thing worse in that trailer is Stella's face. It's like a cross between Pennywise the Clown and an Eastern European lady of the night. Anyway, too scary. So cue a shot of Mariah's staged crying and talking about how hard life is. The whole point of this documentary is falling seriously flat. It is not going to endear Mariah to anybody save for a few of the crazies that L4L themselves and would buy her piss if it was in a bottle with a butterfly on it.

Mariah and her team are definitely making a good choice airing MW in December. In December, I think I can make out what will Team MC do. If they're making good choices, they would do either: 1, Push the hell out of AIWFCIY so that it at least cracks the top 10, with all the hype surrounding MW and the Christmas sales Mariah earns in December (it needs stronger airplay tho, to ensure that it reenters the top 20 Mariah should aid the song with radio deals like what she did with #Beautiful) or 2, release a new single to coincide with MW, as its sales would be increased with the December Mariah Domination going on and the MW show. It would probably impact the Hot 100 at least better than Infinity due to these reasons, ensuring that Mariah at least gets another top 40.

Yes I loved this look much more than the other posted on her instagram. She looks much more classier and fresh faced. On the other side, something has changed in her face, her eyes are so much smaller, it look likes she can't open them fully.

NBC Universal Summer Press Tour (64,952) by Malcolm from Asia
Is this for real? No cleavage, boobs are hidden, and below the knee dress. I love it, simple yet beautiful ensemble, she must keep wearing these type of clothes. BTW her weight is now on a fine phase, I don't care if she lose more because for me it's just right. She only needs to continue building some muscles for it to be toned.

Pictures from the press conference (64,950) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Woah Mariah, I wasn't ready to be slayed like this. Of course she came on a purple velvet chaise lounge, I mean who sits on normal chairs during a press conference haha. She looks exactly like her 2008 self in this one. This is the era of bra out, bodysuits and oiled up men haha, honestly I thought this was funny. Usually I am like Mariah calm the heck down with all the diva act, but here it actually is funny because it is so apparent that she is doing this as a joke to play up what the public thinks. Um fat who? Splashes. This is from her instagram. Her humor is back in the conference, most of her quotes from it were hilarious.

Mariahs Instagram picture lately (64,949) by Liz Archer from Sweden
I'm sorry, but I have to rant. I haven't been checking Instagram for some time. What is whoever handles her Instagram thinking? Some of the pictures should never been published. There are some pictures with her in green dress. Her one arm is between her legs, the other hand is on her chest and it's taken from a weird angle. The next one she looks completely buzzed. Idk, but they give a strange vibe that isn't or shouldn't be meant for everyone. It totally freaked me out. What the heck is going on? It gives her a bad image. I'm so sad and disappointed. And it makes me worried. I'm not seeing a happy Mariah. Yes with her kids she looks happy but honestly the rest is scary. I'm feeling she is getting used or something that is wrong. She should let those *private* images be private. Maybe I am overacting but it's been long time coming. I haven't said to much. Also delaying projects also is horrible for image when you already started to promote it.

Mariah's World (64,948) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
So the second is out and this is even better than the first one. I actually love it, she is in a slide, there is a moment she is crying, we already get to see the wedding dress. I loved the trailer. It has humor and she seems to be enjoying herself. It's cute. And I love that she is using "Emotions" and "Fantasy" for the background songs, I mean these how do these songs still sound fresh?

New Mariah's World promo (64,947) by 123 from USA
I actually like this promo a lot more. I love that she is poking fun at her "diva demands", did she say albino elephant? The man said they will get Noah's ark for her wedding. Lol. Behind some of the luxury set up shots Mariah comes of very normal to me. It's very clear from the promo that the "diva" is clarified as an "act" for comedic effect. Can't wait to watch. The press has been tweeting positive things about today's press conference and I'm glad she is schmoozing them by gifting them champagne, chocolates, music, and a show. If you going to promote a luxury lifestyle might as well show its nothing to share a little piece of it with everyone else.

I might be the minority but I love the SSFT SA tour pic. She looks good and she wasn't airbrushed to the size of a tooth pic. I have no complaints. The Mariah's World pic is ok, not bad or good, just ok. Nobody cares about these things other than the lambs. Pics aren't going to matter to the general public with Mariah, if the material and promo lack, the general public won't bite. These pics are definitely a step up from the "You Dont Know What to Do" single cover or the unrecognizable #1s To Infinity cover.

The show (64,943) by RibbonB from USA
MW is shown having the December 4, date on the E website and M was out in Hollywood doing upfront promo for it. She is even trending on twitter right now. I will say, good luck and I hope it is not as bad as many including myself predicted. The short footage of the kids was adorable.

Re: Mariah's World update (64,918) (64,942) by 123 from USA
Thanks Stacie. December is the perfect time. I get they were promoting it initially but I think they were waiting on whether they could book the SA Leg of the tour. Summer would have been a bad time as everyone is outside enjoying the weather. The fall would been a bad choice as well as all the major shows that pull all the ratings come back and it would have gotten buried. In December, everyone is inside. She dominates that month with AIWFCIY. I think it was smart as the can book her promotional spots and promote all things Mariah from Christmas music, to the Beacon Theater, Mariah's World, and hopefully (fingers crossed) a new song. I think they are planning to do a Mariah onslaught on promoting all these projects simultaneously. She has a better chance of success as December is the month Mariah takes over. If she could book a Rockefeller performance with her revived vocals it could garner more press and interest in all things Mariah. I would like her to do a acapella number or a stripped down version focusing on her live vocals. An 8 episode show would run throughout December and January. Then her first Halmark Special in February. Hoping for a surprise album release in the spring. This is make or break for Stella not Mariah. If 2014 isolated vocals didn't destroy her career, a docu-series won't. Just my thoughts.

Been on a little vacation (64,941) by Licia from USA
I see nothing has changed much on the board or in Mariah's World since I've been gone lol. All I can say is I'm so over this show. I wasn't excited about it when she announced it and now that it's been pushed back I'm even less happy and I'm for sure not going to watch. I just have a bad feeling. I did have a small happy moment seeing her in the studio, but those studio pics don't make me as excited as they used to. I'll hold in my excitement until I hear a song. As always I wish her the best. Even if I don't like what she's doing I always want her to win.

Re: Hozier / Brittany Howard (64,932) (64,940) by RibbonB from USA
Wait, what, Womack? Wow. I love some of his music, obviously "If you think you're lonely now wait until tonight". Mariah gave up a lot just sampling that line for WBT. Womack etc. got co-song writing credit, for little or no lyrics, but that is a memorable song. The whole copyright sampling thing is a delicate and expensive issue either pay up front, or be sued and pay lots later, especially if it's a hit. Anita Baker is so smooth, she is a winner. But Hozier is one of my favorite of the new crop of singer songwriters, especailly of the males. I love James Bay too. Hozier has this very deep soulful, troubled quality, also vulnerability. I would love to see what he and MC could do, especially with those vocal arrangements. Of the new ladies, I adore Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes. Taylor got record of the year, when it could easily have been the Shakes. Brittany and Mariah could have some really cool, edgy and otherworldly collaborations too. "Sound and Color" is another record that I keep on repeat even after a couple of years. If Mariah could start writing the right songs, she could easily have her music in more movies or TV shows. Both Brittany and Hozier are getting a lot of play in both those arenas after only one or two records each.

Re: I feel it (64,933) (64,939) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
Thank you. I mean I know some people here love it, but To The Floor sticks out a little bit too much of the tracklist, and not in a good way. It's one of those very few Mariah songs that are shockingly devoid of an easily discernible melody.

That promo image (64,938) by Liz Archer from Sweden
Yes I agree. It's terrible. I don't understand how Mariahs team or the studio of the show thought that was a "great" image. Just look at the picture for "Mariah Carey, we miss you". THIS image would have been perfect. We see her on a stage. Light effect in the background. She is in a fabulous - but still classy - dress. She is holding a mic. She is smiling and in the for front you see the shadows of the crowed holding up their phones. I mean that image shows clearly what she is about and what has made her the star she was (I mean is ). Instead she looks like some gangster (to put it in hard words). I really don't get the message they want to give for this show. Either it's bad style, or bad idea or bad editing or all above. I'm not happy about that promo image. It's not a good one, but what can you do? It does seems she is hiring the worst people who doesn't understand what is good, or maybe it's on her or Stella's orders. Usually Mariah has good style, but it does goes terrible wrong at times.
