Weight on the face (67,249)
by Malcolm from Asia
| |
|
|
I'm just wondering, when will her face look like this? Her body is almost the same as she was in 2013 but her face is still has so much weight that seems disproportionate for her body, it's weird. Fillers are probably the case here so does anyone knows if it will be removed or something like that? Does her face will be permanently like that? Just a concerned fan because for me it's looks unnatural with or without the make up.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder (67,248)
by Marissa from USA
| |
|
|
I actually find Mariah and co.'s absence from social media refreshing. I would much rather her take a break than make a fool of herself on Instagram. It reminds me of the days when Mariah really lived the lifestyle of an "elusive chanteuse". I hope she's just busy and not going through anything personally because I haven't seen any Mariah out-and-about sightings either. From a business standpoint though, the consistency needs to be stepped up when it comes to her social media. The radio silences last for so long that it looks like her social media efforts have been totally forgotten about, but then again I highly doubt that a 13 year old would have such a burning passion to consistently post on anyone's social media that isn't their own. This is why you either do it yourself or hire a professional.

Article: 23 of Mariah Carey's best hip-hop collaborations (67,247)

A lot of the entries are legit, but this list lost some credibility as soon as I noticed that I Still Believe (Pure Imagination), H.A.T.E.U. Remix, and Dedicated were missing.

I'm sure she is mainly prepping for the next leg of SSF shows, but I wonder if Kim K's latest incident has been food for thought for M. and other wealthy folks on instagram. Flaunting wealth can be hazardous. Kim and crew did some careless mess, but no one deserves that kind of thing to happen. Another reason that M. should hire an adult, smart, experienced social media manager, or just do it herself on a minimal time delayed basis.

Even by treading the same musical ground since TEOM she already managed to alienate a lot of her fans mostly with her image and antics, so now I'm thinking maybe a more drastic sound shift won't really matter that much. If she falls flat on her face for it, then at least she tried something different.

I want to be surprised by her next album as well but if there is one thing that I want to expect from her is that Mariah Carey-The Weeknd collaboration. I'm all for it, I know they will deliver greatness together.

It's all there, every single video Mariah ever put out worth mentioning, even live performances. Wow I'm impressed and you need to see the comments all positive, all recent. It's Mariah's World again and I'm loving it.

MAC promo (67,238)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
| |
|
|
I have been waiting for this official promo shoot for so long now. And boy did she deliver. Look at this stunning promo photo for her new MAC collection. Here is a sneak peak of some (not all) of the products that will be in the line. I can't deal with the gorgeousness of the packaging. After the horrible champagne frost (aka silver chunky glitter) lipstick with no special packaging, this is probably one of MAC's best limited edition packaging of all (all caps) time. Can't wait for more promo pics and details. I am so proud of her finally embracing her natural size and not bothering with slimming stuff down unnecessarily. She is a gorgeous woman. I love that they didn't alter her body, or her face. We just have the airbrushed skin which is mandatory for promo shoots. So people will have no opportunity of screaming "photoshop" this time around.

Wendy Williams (67,237)
by Terna from Nigeria

Is a big lamb. All her commentaries on Mariah are just attention jabs at Mariah. I feel like she's desperate at this point to have Mariah on her show at all costs which would kinda validate her and her show. And when she doesn't get honored a visit from the one and only chanteuse, she throws hissy fits and tantrums which we've all witnessed in the past. Lol.

I agree. However, she can't stray to far from her signature sound or she risks alienating her fans.

Past producers (67,230)
by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
| |
|
|
It's undeniable that Mariah has created phenomenal stuff with the likes of Walter, Ben, Babyface and Jermaine, and although God knows how much I would want to see her work with the former three again, I'm now leaning more towards her ditching them altogether in favor of collaborating with new producers she has never worked with before. They could be extremely popular and work their tried and tested tricks with Mariah, or even better, they could be relatively unknown/up-and-coming producers, like she usually does when picking rappers to feature on her songs. Before Hard Candy, producers didn't make Madonna - she made them. Mariah certainly has the star power, credentials and talent to do the same if she just experiments with producers. Loyalty is one thing, but being adamant is entirely different. How else can she change up her sound if she keeps working with the same people? Even working with 2016 Walter, #Ben, or Babyface 2.0 is pretty much bound to turn out well, they're not guaranteed to produce truly outstanding results. Working with a new producer possibly won't either, but that way at least she'd be taking risks. She just cannot be stuck in 2005 anymore. Her next step forward has been long overdue. Work with Max Martin, Mattman & Robin, Bloodshy & Avant, Xenomania, Greg Kurstin, Ilya, The Eleven, The Cataracs, Da Internz, Cashmere Cat, Dev Hynes, Disclosure, Rich Harrison, Ryan Tedder, Snakehips - I mean whoever - just about anyone you haven't worked with before. Surprise us.

As much as I would like to believe that they are going to pull a secret project on us, I think the silence is basically because Mishka got distracted with some tween boy and so she forgot posting on Mariah's social media. The same happened a while back. However, I will be very happy if Mariah actually manages to pull a big surprise. Another reason for the silence maybe they are rehearsing for the SSFT shows.

I would think Max Martin would be more suitable for Mariah. He could churn out catchy hooks that still stays true to the artist he's producing. If Mariah wanna work with Skrillex, it would be better if Mariah works with Skrillex's duo Jack Ü. Jack Ü's sound is softer than Skrillex's solo work, giving more space for her to shine. The Chainsmokers would be great too. Or, she could work with Daft Punk. They're amazingly talented.

Wendy did not offer to eat crow if she were wrong. Therefore there's a good chance she might not be correct in regards to her "prediction". How many times has she eaten crow now?
