An increasing number of fans seemingly fail to understand blindness and muteness as to the reality of "badness" when it is happening, but are overjoyed and outspoken with elation when the badness ends. Out of many examples of criticism that you have outlined or others may give let me use Mariah's weight as a case in point. Mariah got fat. People complained about it and in turn were complained about for being negative and rude and worse. The word even got banned from this board. But fat she was. She over-indulged massively and, obviously, had damaged her image because of this. You weren't allowed to say it, though, and absolutely not allowed to joke about it. But scroll forward and Mariah loses quite a bit of the weight. Suddenly all those who were screaming that she's not fat and calling the press to tell them not to call her fat and waking up the President to complain about fat jokes were talking everywhere about how Mariah has lost so much weight and looks so good and she's back to this year or that year and we believe Mariah can ride on the unicorn'a back again, yass queen yass. This is just a bizarre way of being. It is changing the narrative to suit your own ideal. So when I first called people loonies and was told I was a big old meanie, it was based upon that forced altering of the narrative, of having to live wrapped in social justice warrior-cotton wool. Sure, you can be diehard fans who love unconditionally, but it doesn't make you anymore righteous than those who don't tow your line, for in your narrative, the truth is often completely lost. A bit like at Westboro Baptist Church.

Re: negative fans (66,228)

So in order to be considered a true fan of Mariah you have to praise and think that everything she does is the right choice apparently. That is ridiculous. If you truly love someone and you see that they are making choices in their life that is hurting them, you should speak about it. Enabling them is not true love. Now when it crosses the line into insults, like people calling her a "tranny" and slurs like that, that's not love. Those of us who see these bad choices that she's making, and call it out, are being honest and realistic. We just want her to be at her best.

Mimi L., I think Mariah has so many songs already recorded that she could release an EP just for the fans to keeps salivating for new music. Just like when she released "Help Me Make it", "100%" and "Almost Home". We need something, and we need it yesterday, lol. Most likely her collaboration on Empire is going to be the prelude to her actual single. A song doesn't have to be single material to be great.

Ugh. It's so exciting what this next era will sound and look like. Based on her last interview, it seems that she will go hard on promotion this time. Btw like what I have said, we can say everything and anything about her but at the end of the day we don't really know that much what she is behind the cameras so it will always leave as assumptions. And I understand that really, I know that deep deep down in our hearts, after all of the things that we said about her, it is because we care for her. Yes maybe some of us went too much, but hey, what can we do about that right? All I know is, even if sometimes I got frustrated about what her doing is, I will always be here for her music because that is really what I love about her first, well we all are. I will always be thankful to the wonderful gift that she's giving us through her music. I am very much ready for the next era, she does now have the amazing body that we all been waiting since 2014, the all new confidence that she is on stage and of course her improving vocals.

Very good list. I too would love if MC paid tribute to Whitney and covered some of her songs. I agree with you on 1. For the Love of You. The laid back sound is one Mariah flows with. 2. You Give Good Love. Tthis always screamed Mariah to me. 3. I'm Your Baby Tonight. I can imagine Mariah sounding so good on this one with the flow of the fast lyrics and how Mariah is the queen of singing that way. She would kill this song. 4. All the Man That I Need. I think Mariah can go between full and whisper vocals on this and she would sound amazing. 5. Miracle. This has Mariah all over it too and I really can picture her singing this today. And I'll add as a bonus I Believe In You And Me and for our Christmas queen Whitneys rendition of Do You Hear What I Hear.

Yeah I was sorry to hear it too. They gave it a good shot though and I can appreciate that they seem to be handing things very privately. There have been no real tabloid drama, except for that incident in a club a couple years ago. I like that Mary is just moving forward professionally without making this a talking point. So far they are being very respectful. Of course she will probably have some amazing songs on her next project.

Please don't generalize the lambs by saying that. A lot of us here are supportive of her most of the times and at the same time we tell it like it is. Instead of being an enabler and just sitting back and watching her destroy herself while chanting "yas queen". Most people here give constructive criticism and suggestions instead of just bashing her. I won't deny there are rude posts and that some people want her to live up to her "90's standard", something I think we shouldn't because people evolve. But that doesn't represent all of us on this board. I will give the same suggestion Terna did, if you can't digest it, scroll up, unless personally attacked. If you can digest it, provide your point of view with examples instead of going down the old and tired "haters vs real lambs" arguments. That never goes anywhere.

One more thing, perhaps the most important part, Anabelle will always claim to "understand" Mariah better than any of you peasants and goats because in Anabelle's head, he/she personally knows Mariah and has all the inside info. They also claim to have a strong "sixth sense". Which often ends up embarrassing them. So there you go Ribbon.

New music (66,218)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter

For the last few days we are getting a lot of "new music soon" coming from Mariah and her friends. I hope the promo plan is set, Lord knows I'm thirsty for some new music. Although I am ready to wait if she needs time. I am happy to see her collaborate with Crystal because she comes up with catchy ones. And I think we can be certain a Weeknd collaboration has happened or is scheduled to happen because she never said "no we didn't but I'd like to". With Beyonce she clarified that. Here she kept smiling and said "I'd like to see that". So I am expecting a sexy jam from these two.

I honestly think most lambs think Mariah is supposed to be perfect, when she does anything that's left field like a sexy pic or a fun pic or a rap song they start to bash her. I've actually never seen so much hate on a fan blog, the Navy would never, the Beehive would never. If you don't think most of these lambs are sad and dressed and angry at the world, you also are living in a fantasy world.

Rumor also has it that they are an active poster on the elegant UKMix where Anabelle is notorious for trolling and being bashed on the regular by other members for being, well a troll. This is the same poster who keeps bringing up the petition (in a negative light of course) and thinks everyone is out to sabotage Mariah. They will simultaneously argue that Mariah has superpowers and can see what no one else does, but at the same time everyone fools Mariah. Everyone from Tommy Mottola to Dalai Lama. Anabelle has this condition where they forget what is truth and what is a conspiracy theory so they will try to fight you and try to pass their theories as facts. When attacked, expect Anabelle to take personal shots at you which will include calling you a "psycho" or things of that nature. Best thing to do is keep Anabelle locked in a glass box with a sign "positively do not touch". Contact Lorraine Warren if Anabelle gets out of hand.

I don't think that was Anthony, as far as I remember that was someone from her old team. Someone who was also friends with RaeRae because he was tagging her. When Anthony left, I think he put up a post thanking Mariah and her team. My memory is a bit foggy at the moment but basically Anthony didn't say anything about Stella. Stella is still very much in Mariah's circle but I think she has taken note and is keeping a low profile. It's about time because I almost lost track of whether Stella was a part of Mariah's entourage or Mariah was a part of Stella's entourage haha. So it's refreshing to see MC with people other than Stella.

Learn to ignore them or better yet skip their posts altogether you don't have to read their "opinions" when you know it's just going to be yet another bout of hate and negativity, just skip it. I know I do. There are certain gremlins on here who's posts I never read. They know themselves. Don't feed the them let them starve. (Obsessed anyone?) Let them cosign each other's hate and negativity. Lol.

I agree. Most people here mean well and it's coming from a good place though because we all want to see her succeed again and be received well by the general public but it does get too much at times. I remember a while ago it was mentioned how the fans' money had made her and they are not being repaid well which is ridiculous to me - she never held a gun to your head and asked you to buy her records and to love her. Yes she's changed and she probably will change some more by the time she's through - it is what it is. Constantly bashing her every move won't bring the 90s back. She can dress however she wants but her management and roll outs need to be on point.

5 Whitney songs that Mariah would slay (66,210)
by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
| |
|
|
It's been a while since lists have been posted here. While waiting for music-related news from Mariah, here's a list of 5 songs (which unintentionally happen to be all slow jams that are mostly non-singles) from Mariah's good friend Whitney which I think our girl would also do justice to and I wish she could consider doing as a tribute in the future: 5. Until You Come Back - This will suit Mariah's current voice well, as it was also recorded by Whit at a time when her voice started to show signs of wear and tear as well. 4. After We Make Love - Mariah's breathy coo would be perfect for this track. 3. For The Love Of You - We all know by know that Mariah does well with breezy, laid back songs like these. 2. You Give Good Love - Everything about this just screams Mariah - the melody, the smooth groove, and the sexy overall sound. 1. Just The Lonely Talking Again - Mariah's vocal tone and delivery will surely complement this smooth, elegant number. Honorable mention: Saving All My Love For You - I have no doubt that Mariah will do her own thing with this, but the song is one of Whitney's signature songs that it would be difficult to ignore its popular association with her. What are yours?

Isn't Anthony the guy who went on an Instagram rant, calling Stella an evil witch, or something to that effect? Why would he go back into that situation if he honestly feels that way? Maybe Stella ia losing some of her influence in Mariah's life. Hopefully.

Annabelle is an evil porcelain doll that first appeared in the movie "The Conjuring". She was so evil that she got her very own movie called "Annabelle". Rumor has it that the doll was a regular poster on this messageboard. She was around for a year or so, then during a Full Moon, some regular posters here got together and cast a spell chasing her away. Rumor has it she was vanished to a place called Dreamville or something like, I don't really know. She was supposed to have a baby with not beginning and without an end. Don't ask me, I don't know what that means.
