The truth is that yes, Glitter was bad writing and an ill advided choice by she and her team but she was in fact brilliant in both WiseGirls and Precious. Career choices like Stella, Nick, Mariah's World, and Hallmark speak to her mental and emotional health not her ability as an actress. Your hateful vitriol makes me wonder about what your true agenda is. Are you trolling? Have a bone to pick with Mariah? Maybe get a hobby or something. Wouldn't we all be so thrilled if she just started making great music again, got rid of you know who and settled into the idea that being a mom and a legend is just fine. Debates and ideas (62,743) by Anthony Basco from Cardiff, Wales The genuine reason I come to this board to discuss Mariah is because, shock horror, I'm a huge huge fan. If anybody cares to read through my post histor, the majority of my posts are overwhelmingly positive and full of praise and admiration. It's only recently that I've started expressing concerns. Nothing anybody posts regarding their own opinion is a fact here, not one person, which should be obvious, and as such, sometimes I do read other points of view and think "I didn't think of it that way, I actually agree". That's why I like to share ideas, read ideas and discuss. But there are people who immediately cry foul, and become emotional to the point of hysterics, picking up one word or phrase to bash or further their own agendas, whilst ignoring the posts as a whole. Although I enjoy when people do challenge my opinion, and encourage it because it may make me consider things from a different point of view, using buzz words or phrases such as "hater", "slay", "calling you out" etc are not conducive to proper debate because it's just people getting angry and emotional and often incoherent, reading into things the wrong way or in some cases actually putting words into the mouth of the poster. I just want to point out that I've no secret or non secret hate for Mariah, I genuinely do love her, I just don't have anybody close to me who is a fan so I come to this board to express thoughts and ideas with other fans. Of course, the state of undress alone doesn't signal a change, but even regarding that, we've seen Mariah dress so incredibly well recently, which shows she can be super sexy and classy. If any messages said simply "she's wearing revealing clothing, she's going through a midlife crisis" then I could say fair enough to your message. But frankly you ignored the whole post and sentiments of the post and picked up on one thing that wouldn't make sense in isolation. It's good that we can discuss opinions, but not so good when people pick and choose elements of a whole in an attempt to ridicule or discredit the original post. If you've sound logic to poo poo the idea of a midlife crisis and can address the post as a whole, then perhaps there's a worthwhile discussion to be had. (Friday 27 May 2016; 17:03)

That was hilarious to me because I don't care about those artists. It's painful to watch an artist like Mariah openly engage. Of course Wendy will take the bait, she lives for Mariah stories. I think her response will be hilarious, of course at Marian's expense, but she might surprise and treat it like a serious moment. Either way it becomes free press for the parties involved. (New York City) After coming to this board for years as an daily observer and as a member of the family, I have to say I have never seen this board in such an uproar. I am one who believes in speaking your piece but coming to this board lately seems very strange because the majority of comments are now coming from a negative place. Everything MC seems do or anything the media seems to report most of the family here has an objection and to me I say complaining won't change anything. Don't get me wrong I am all for the music above all, but I have no problem with MC exploring other avenues of her creativity. I will support what interests me, and the things that don't I will not waste time on, and you all should do the same. MC can't please everyone, keep that in mind. (Friday 27 May 2016; 13:05)

And yes all your points are true. It's not necessary, nobody likes to feel old, but for me it makes everyone older with that behaviour. Never thought that would happen. Mariah is not old, of course not a youngster, I hope this crisis will end soon. And she can be "normal" again. Anyone remember the "Homecoming Special" at her old high school. She was so amazing and natural. I love how she talked with her old classmate Chuck and that they watched Pretty In Pink and Thirteen Candles back in the day. No playing, 100 % real and loveable. I don't understand why tag Wendy directly? And why post the same video twice? Oh and to the person who was saying Mariah has a double, well yes she has, and she's named Stella. Notice it's also posted twice on Stella's instagram with the same caption "my docu-series coming soon". At least change the caption to "Mariah's docu-series". Did you see how Mariah asked what it named and the person shooting the video tells her it's a docu-series? At least she's still good friends with Lee. It's getting weirder with time. She should have other ways to take care of herself and her family. I just don't give a crap about any of it (besides the perfume, I love those) and instead of me sitting and complaining about it I just won't support what I'm not interested in. She's known for music and that's what I want from her. I definitely get the point of why she's doing all this extra stuff and I don't have an issue with it, but there are plenty of other artists who do all of the things she's doing yet they still put out not only music, but quality music. Mid life and career crisis (62,729) by Anthony Basco from Cardiff, Wales Parties and often hanging out with people much younger? Check. Drinking a lot and acting the fool? Check. A general blasé attitude to the God given talent and ability? Check. Acting younger at middle age than during the 20s and 30s? Check. Wearing less and less clothing in public? Check, check, check. I could go on and on, but this whole mess, and by now I've seen more than enough to say that I feel this whole era and current situation is nothing but a dire mess, seems to me like one hell of a mid life crisis. The whole thing is tacky and uncomfortable to witness. I'll continue to observe, just because quite frankly, it's fascinating. I've never seen someone I admire so much derail so quite completely. The worst part is, the people who really do want to help Mariah are being held back and forced to watch this mess unfold before their eyes and cannot do anything. I don't know where Stella came from, I would probably guess at a place where there are flames and eternal damnation, but wherever it was, she's really picked Mariah up and is running with her at the speed of light into a very solid impassable brick wall. Are we now going to engage in social media feuds? Seriously what is going on? Wendy will have the best time reporting this. She finally got "directly" referenced by Mariah after 2009's "Obsessed". This was an unnecessary move. Just post the video and that's it. I said it before I'll say it again, get the 13 year old and her 13 year old level minded mother off Mariah's social media and hire professionals otherwise we will get more petty posts and Mariah will be the one being laughed at. The best way to shut down someone is to pretend they don't exist. To post 3 consecutive videos about this Wendy comment kind of makes it look like this thing got to her. I didn't notice it first but she is tagged in both the Facebook and Instagram posts. Is she going to the show to promote her docu-series or did she write that as a response to Wendy's claim that Lee was dissing Mariah? Because since when does Mariah take anything Wendy say seriously? Even if she does she never responds to it, which keeps her above Wendy. If she is going on the show, well then the tag is fine (I don't know how I feel about her going there, I mean Wendy might faint and all). But if this is a Wendy backlash, then it's a no no from me. Mariah's video to Wendy Williams / Stella (62,724) by Martyn from England, UK Okay, this is too far now. After initially being wary of her, I started to warm to Stella thinking that I'd got caught up in the lamb-hate-hype. I can now see that she is a bad influence. Don't get me wrong, I'm aware that Mariah is a grown woman who can make her own choices, but she's been making some very strange ones recently and whilst I don't fully blame Stella, I definitely think her influence is affecting Mariah's judgement. One of the things I've always loved about Mariah is she doesn't respond to criticism, or if she does, she does it in a very subtle/classy way. This video seems somewhat aggressive, and the fact she's tagged Wendy Williams in the caption just seems so unlike the Mariah I know. I'm so confused about what is going on at the moment. Whilst there are lots of great things in the pipeline, this era is shaping up to be a bit of a bizarre mess. Maybe RaeRae, JD and the rest of the old team were yes men, but at least Mariah seemed happy. At the moment she seems neurotic and heavily influenced, and I genuinely think it's damaging her reputation. Enough of the staged antics. Enough of the drama. Everything but the music (62,723) by 123 from USA I understand everyone wanting new music as I want it too, but the reason why we haven't gotten any new music is simply because she hasn't had time. There is no point in rushing something out only for it to fail because everything isn't right. Look at the last album, she had a lot of potential hits and there was barely any promotion and she barely performed. When she did perform, she was stiff and the vocals were bad. Now she has lost the weight and she is finally focusing on the part of her music career that has needed improve on for the last 6-7 years, her live act. Her performances were scarce and iffy during that period. Now she is constantly performing and touring. She keeps improving with each performance and seems to have a new focus on taking more care of her voice. Fans from all over the world have more access to see her perform in the flesh either on tour or in Vegas. I think she needs to continue Vegas and go on a South American leg of her tour so she can continue to improve her performances. That way when she is ready to drop new music she will vocally be able to deliver great performances live for tv. After the tour she needs to work on three hot songs that can be potential singles. Release something in the fall to coincide the with the docuseries. I'd be cool with that for now. (Friday 27 May 2016; 8:00)
