Re: Witchy woman (57,614) (57,620) by B from USA
She looked stunning as a good witch. My friends all agree [censored]. I think they [censored]. I think she needs [censored] if she ever wants to make another epic comeback. She does look better with less makeup. Doing so would help change the publics perception of her. I love how fresh faced she looks in the Always Be My Baby video. [Webmaster: You wrote a really nasty message.]

Oh the humanity. What dancer leaves Mariah for I don't know her. I would die if Mariah and Taylor wrote a song together. Taylor's 1989 is an excellent pop album it reminds me of a countryfied Daydream.

Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade (57,617) by B from USA
Mariah is headlining the 89th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, this is exactly what she needed. She needs to give a stellar performance of AIWFCIY and the vindication of Mariah Carey will be complete. I knew she wanted to redeem herself after last year's debacle. Did you really think she wasn't going to be singing on our tv's this holiday season? How boring and not festive would that be.

Bad Blood v. 1902 (57,616) by Lee TS from USA
Case in point, the TMB dancer is now team JLo for her Vegas residency. Isn't this what birthed Taylor and Katy's feud? I believe M now has to hit up Taylor and write a song together. Actually, I'd imagine M being more like Silk, "They're just back up, they don't matter." Haha just being messy here.

Re: ET Halloween interview (57,611) (57,615) by May from Denmark
It was obvious Mariah didn't want to talk "Nick" haha. I wished the interviewer asked her for Packer instead, I would have loved to see her face and what she had to answer. She seems really happy and carefree lately. Maybe he is her match but too early to tell.

Re: Witchy woman (57,605) (57,614) by May from Denmark
Ah, I loved her make up. In the close up pictures it looks amazing, her eyeshadow was like a mix of yellow/orange with purple. I loved that everything was sparkly. I thought she looked so beautiful and it is different, reminds me to the heavy make up she wore for "Shake it off". The strong make up didn't bother me because the whole outfit was black. The hair was to die for though. That was my favorite thing in the whole costume.

Re: Witchy woman (57,605) (57,613) by darrian liu from taiwan
Agreed. But she should be allowed to experiment though. I thought Mariah looked the best when there's no makeup or minimal makeup on her, like in the Always Be My Baby video. I mean the woman is already very beautiful naturally, she doesn't really need makeup.

Single release strategy (57,612) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
While we could attribute Adele's recent record-breaking comeback to her fans' fervent longing after the length of her absence, her burgeoning charisma, or just the brilliance of her new release, we could also pinpoint her release strategy as a a reason for her explosive return. When an artist releases a single before a video, he/she/they are clearly aiming for chart longevity as opposed to impact, so the timing between the two should not be too short to be considered useless, as well as not too long for the hype to die down, in which case the video should be out-of-this-world awesome to rekindle interest. If the video comes first before the single, they're probably looking to build anticipation until the single release, which is riskier as the video could have been already converted to audio and made its way to sharing sites by then. So Adele decided to go with option #3 - release both simultaneously, which could yield varied results, depending on the magnitude and relevance of the artist as well as the anticipation for a new release from him/her/them. Naturally, since it's Adele, a #1 just seems like a sure thing. If Mariah's gonna release a new single, I'd rather have her go the same route. She barely made any splash at all since #Beautiful in 2013, and the long wait for the mostly underwhelming videos and remixes definitely didn't help. It won't guarantee success, but at least it would maybe help make a slightly bigger splash, which sadly seems to be all that Mariah gets right now. But of course, the material has to be great. If it ain't gonna be a commercial hit, it better be at least a critical darling, right?

ET Halloween interview (57,611) by Pau from Mexico
I just watched the interview MC gave to ET at her Halloween party and I believe it is so awesome MC invited Nick. Even though what happened between them she has the maturity to do the best for Roc and Roe. I am sure we all can agree that the reunion happened because she wanted it and that says a lot about her values and of course as the type of mom she whats to be. Also, I was wondering if anyone else thinks her voice in the interview sounds like she has a soar throat. I hope she can rest her vocals and take lots of care. I mean, December will be her moment, and although we acknowledge her greatness, deep inside we all want her to have a mini come back. I sure want her to make all the people that judged her last year after the Rockefeller situation regret what they said.

Hidden notes (57,610) by Manny from U.S.
I've come across background vocals I hadn't noticed. Usually this happens when using headphones and I realized she did different vocals for the left and the right. On YouTube there's a channel that shows those hidden notes. This is one for I Am Free.

Yeah she has loads of songs like that. It's Mariah Carey, she's a musical genius.

Secret background vocals (57,607) by Luke from United Kingdom
Has anyone been listening to a song from Mariah and suddenly noticed a small background vocal that is so sutble you never heard it before? I was listening to Meteorite and on the line where she sings "Meteorite-ite-ite" she adds a really whispery "a shooting star". It's around 1:29 in the song. I know it's small but it adds so much more to the song and she does it until the end. It really shows her musicality and attention to detail and sets her apart from so many other singers.

Yes, it looks like the promo train is on its way. Since the event is attached to NBC maybe M will return for the tree lighting. Merry Christmas lambs.

I sadly disagree. I think she looked [censored]. Mariah wears way too much make up that she's starting to look [censored].

It was very funny, loved the "no no no" part. Just listened yesterday to Ariana's new song, terrible is not enough word to describe it and I won't even get into detail of what I think of her in the video as I want to respect the webmaster rules. Can we say to her "bye bye"? Lol.

Re: Adele's Hello and the 3-minute something songs (57,599) (57,602) by May from Denmark
You know Edward, I completely forgot about IWKWLI. I could never get into that song, I love the way she sang it but I don't know, I never felt the song, it is not her fault, the song itself, I never felt connected to it, I don't feel it had a huge impact (not even half perhaps) that "Without you" had. I heard it a couple of times but still does nothing for me, the videoclip was one of the worst in my list. I did like her rendition of George Michael but also think alike, she played it safe, still sounded beautiful. Most people seem to still prefer the original, some say her version wasn't good at all (I'm no George expert or anything, I love his voice, some of his songs but I'm not one to say his version is untouchable or hers is not good enough, can't really judge), I like both versions. Up to this day I still wonder about that Infinity remix, it felt so out of place haha, all that people mashed up in one remix and it didn't do any good to it, I did love her parts and one part Justin sang. I don't like Justin voice neither the way he sings, I wished it was just Mariah all the way in that remix. She needs to find a really good song to cover and give all of her in it again. The late ones seemed baked half and half.

Mariah the witch (57,600) by Lee TS from USA
What a witch she was. I am dying over her gorgeous hair, I couldn't get over how amazing her hair looked, it was pure perfection. I loved her whole getup and did I peek her cheating with the shoes? If I'm not mistaken those are her slippers. This clip seriously had me dying, it's the over dramatic diva who knows she's playing along. She is giving face for days. I'm glad Mariah and Nick can get together for the kids, let's hope everything goes smoothly with the divorce. So good to see her enjoying her life.

Adele's Hello and the 3-minute something songs (57,599) by Edward from USA
Just heard Adele's "Hello" for the first time and I must admit I liked it. It is a 6-minute song, but I rather have a long song telling a good story, than a 3-minute something song for the sake of the charts. I love when Mariah takes her time to develop an idea in a song regardless of its time length, like "Through The Rain", "Outside", "The Beautiful Ones". There are songs Mariah has released as singles that left me wishing for something that was missing, like "#Beautiful", or when she cut short "I Wanna Know What Love Is". Mariah did an excellent job vocally on "I Wanna Know What Love Is", but by leaving out a full verse, it didn't quite live up to my expectation, and many critics stated Mariah had gone full karaoke on us. "One More Try" is a masterpiece. George Michael murdered that song so well so nobody could revive in the future. When it was confirmed Mariah would cover it, I couldn't believe it. I first was praying she didn't turn it into a 3-minute something song, but I was also hoping she would murder it even deeper than George Michael originally did, but unlike her rendition of "The Beautiful Ones", she did played it very safe and it even sounded autotuned at times. I don't understand why she even touched it. To my understanding, it is the worse cover she's ever recorded so far. I really wish for the perfectionist Mariah used to be. I hope she thinks twice before releasing songs like "Infinity" and its respective remix, because those type of mediocre songs are stains on her stellar discography. Now that her divorce is over, and that she seems to be in a happy place, I hope she finds her muse once again. She only have herself to blame for getting us used to such quality music.

Article: Halloween party brings Nick and James together (57,598) by MIAM from United Kingdom
I was waiting for this to be posted, and I'm so glad it did. It's so inspiring and mature to see parents that are not together come together for the children that is absolute good parenting right there. Kudos to you Nick and Mariah.

Re: The Macau misrepresentation (57,594) (57,597) by Luke from United Kingdom
There's no doubt most of us wish for answers only she has haha. Don't forgot she's done a Vegas residency which she could have filled with a bunch of songs she's comfortable with but she didn't, a lot of them she left in the 90's lol I think the case with the Macau performance was the fact that she was in a foreign country and those songs are pretty much known world wide. So those people who went knew them and could enjoy it/sing along. The thing is it's up to other people to use their money how they like and if they don't mind a little lipping from her majesty then who cares? It would be out of order if she was lipping every single live performance the entire way through but she isn't, thankfully.
