The bandana that was meant to go over her head became a shirt. It wasn't anything new or innovative since she followed her tried and true formula for her uptempo lead single. I do believe that if she would have had time to promote the single with some good performances, it could have gone number 1. She was the headliner for MTV's 20th Anniversary Special where she was to perform the song, until she was hospitalized. What she should have done after she got out is stick to her guns and released "If We" as a second single and let the controversy of the stolen concept help build interest with some well placed performances. There are not too many songs on that album other than some of the ballads that would have done well during that time in music. (Saturday 23 January 2016; 6:26)

Not only that, she didn't ask for anyones opinion. She has been beaming and getting her career on track for the past year. Based on that one would assume she has been happy. Lord knows I've jumped faster than Mariah from one relationship to the next. I have gotten annoyed today in the office when people read the news and said "Oh she is marrying for money." I think Mariah and James complement each other, the woman who came from nothing to have it all and the man who always had it all but wanted to accomplished it on his own and not live under the shadow of his father. Wow it's like a tv soap drama haha. Both are around the same age, he doesn't need her fame and she doesn't need his money. They are in a great position and I can only wish them the very best. She was gifted that ring, she accepted it, James prepared a celebration party for her and she showed it after being asked the big question because the paps who were waiting for the couple after they knew the news were there yelling at her to show the rock and all she did was give a fast glimpse of her hand. Let's remember Mariah was the girl with one pair of shoes, whose pantry wasn't full to the roof. With her outrageous amounts of money, I'm amazed she never flashed more stuff on our faces unlike Rihanna and the likes. I think Mariah knows how to keep a certain level of "middle ground", she got it but doesn't let it go her head. I would expect of her showing a bit more now at days though because being with James Packer, is a billionaire after all who has always known nothing but luxury. Maybe that's why they are a good couple, because she was a humble girl who made her way to the top, they might have surely talked about each others lives, including Packer's control freak father. I haven't visited this messageboard in ages and so I thought I'd pop in to say hi and talk about this tiny little piece of news of Mariah being engaged again. I'm shocked because I assumed that she would not want to get married for a while at least. It's so soon. I'm not trying to be shady but is her divorce from Nick yet even finalized? But then again, life is short. Follow you heart. I don't know Packer but he is at least a mature, grown man in the sense that he is about the same age as Mariah, he has his own success and fortune and he could care less about fame or attention. I just hope James didn't put Mariah on the spot by proposing in front of all their friends and that they discussed it through. By the way, I'm ecstatic about the Europian tour and her performing in Finland for the first time ever. I'm going to be in the meet and greet, so I will meet Mariah in person. It's always interesting how different opinons on the same songs can be. To me, Inseparable is the track off Memoirs that many people loved that I'm not a big fan of and tend to skip. I can't even listen to either of the Memoirs "duets" she put on MIAMTEC. And I loved both of them solo. That's why I opted not to get the deluxe version. I can't be the only one (59,256) by Randy from USA Who thinks this engagement is too soon? She isn't even divorced from Nick is she? And does this signal the end of eternally 12? Because I don't know any 12 year olds that get married three times. I really wish she'd see James and hold the engagement off a year or two. Something is happening to me with celebrities. Let me preface my thought by saying this is not MC's fault. She didn't buy the ring. But how many starving families could that 7.5 million have fed? I hate when celebs brag and boast about wealth when there are so many out there in need. I heard in church awhile ago that in certain parts of the world, starving children follow behind cattle and search dung for undigestable pieces of food, such as kernels of corn. Ok I'm rambling. Mariah seems much more content within herself (not just because she's with James) it's a deep confidence and contentment that you can't get from another person. I feel their relationship is also genuinely solid for a lot or reasons. They have the same sensitivity and lifestyle. James seems very mature about life and is secure in himself. Haha what a contrast from the headlines when Mariah started, at that time it was all about her talent as a singer, songwriter, her God given talents, but oh well JLo's is a different thing I guess (shout out to the Mariah-Larry King interview). Bieber went to the opening show, I wish he showed up at Mariah's (not because Mariah needs him to get headlines but just to show support like Katy Perry and 5th Harmony). More Than Just Friends remix (59,249) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I know a lot of fans don't like this song but I kind of enjoy it. It's cutesy and flirty. Anyways so there was a remix with Fabolous that never saw the light of the day. It was supposedly recorded to be on MIAM but then they went with "Money" (which is another song I enjoy). The remix is a little slowed down which makes it more sultry I guess. Anyways here is the link to the snippet for anyone who cares to listen. I love it and wish it replaced the BGK remix in MIAM because I love BGK (the original) and R Kelly sounds great with Mariah but the remix was horrible and didn't make sense to me. Mariah and James (59,244) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter A very big congratulations to Mariah and James. I would say that this is the best match for Mariah, and I'll explain why. They are both of similar age and mature so no one has to work extra hard to keep up with the other (like with Nick). They are both parents so no party will feel like they are taking on excess baggage. They are both successful in their respective fields and thankfully from different industries so no manipulation involved (like Motolla). They look happy. Does it look a bit rushed? Yes, but I think they thought this through, plus they just got engaged so the marriage is not necessarily happening soon. Very happy for Mariah. Hope third time's a charm and she finally gets the love that she keeps writing about in her songs. (Friday 22 January 2016; 10:59)
