New photos (58,921) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter How many times can anyone claim their vacation photos looks like it is a flawless photo shoot worthy enough to be a magazine spread? Look at this woman. How does she look so beautiful? The hair flying, I mean come on, only Mariah. I also love this photo. These are better than some of her recent photo shoot. We need her to wear a monokini and get on that beach and post a couple of pictures on instagram. She'll look straight out of the MIAM/TAOLG cover minus the photoshop. I am happy to see the vacation photos. I think Stella should stop posting the low quality old pictures so much for no good reason. I mean yes I am all for a "Hero" anniversary post or whatever, but no need to put a random picture from the SIO shoot and label it "fringe game strong" like what is that even? Anyways I saw someone mention on another board that Mariah should use a "team account" like the Mariah Alerts account to post these if she absolutely has to and use her main account for more exclusive pictures like the vacation ones and behind the scenes stuff or just day to day updates instead of the old pictures. It doesn't even have to be her picture if she isn't in the mood, she can just post pictures of her surroundings. By the way, her instagram following has increased to 3 million. It's good to see an increase but she can do much better considering the fact that she is such a major star. (Wednesday 6 January 2016; 19:30)

Oh please, Adele? (58,920) by Seth M from South Africa I don't think that we should be concerned about Adele and her 10 weeks reign. She is not on the same level as Mariah and is light years away. Right now, the attention is on her and Hello but I can assure you that it will soon fade away. There were many artists who have come and gone and when they started their careers, they all thought that they were the next Mariah Carey. Remember Ashanti and Tamia? Ashanti even claimed that she will be writing for Mariah in 2001 lol. Now you don't hear anything about them. There was also big hype when Leona Lewis and Alicia Keys came out. People said that they will be the next Mariah, but it is yet to be proven. Leona Lewis emulates Mariah until this day with her butterfly signature on her latest cd cover inlay and working with Walter A. The point I'm trying to make is that there are lot of singers who tried to contend with Mariah but failed to do so. Mariah had longevity and staying power in the industry and others including Adele will not be able to keep up to that. Rihanna also failed to garner a number 1 hit from her last album because the popularity decreases with time. The same for Lady Gaga who has to rely on image rather than vocals to gain publicity. I remember when Katy Perry was peaking in her career, many lambs were worried but I assured them that she too will fizzle out when the hype is over. As much as I respect Adele for getting a number 1 hit with a ballad, I don't think that she will break Mariah's record that is timeless. I do think however that Mariah must realize that she can still hit Number 1 with a big ballad in this day and age that is relatable to the general public and not only to the R&B market. To me, songs like "The Impossible", " Love Story" and " Candy Bling" are not ballads. Having said that, Mariah is still the queen and she has earned the ability to do or sing what she wants to in whatever way she wants to. She has inspired so many singers today and set a high standard in the music industry that not many will be be able to keep up with. So basically, I don't think that we need to worry about Adele. She started performing "Emotions" again when she was with him. I'm pretty sure she did say that. Who knows what really happened with them? Migrate should have been a single, everything about it screamed banger. Maybe not a #1 but a top 10 for sure. I do believe Mariah and LA were not agreeing on a lot during the promo roll out. Remember it was rumored that I'm That Chick was going to be the lead single? And there was this whole mess about the title being sexist or whatever. And I remember LA saying he was "surprised" by TMB being a #1 like he didn't believe in it. Even though the label were making these bad decisions, I hate to say this, but it was Nick who bombed E=MC2. Mariah couldn't juggle both and sadly abandoned the project. She was so in love with her new man and probably felt invincible because of Emancipation and TMB's success. Think about it, "Oh wow, you past Elvis. You're the #1 view for sure." I remember riding with a friend and she was singing along to Side Effects, asking me how come it wasn't a big song and this was during the Memoirs era. I just sat in silence because if I started crying, I'll be crying for the rest of the ride, no I'm just playing. Anyway, you know what they say about sequels. (Wednesday 6 January 2016; 3:11)

Time to migrate (58,904) by Edward from USA While being interviewed by Perez Hilton, one of her biggest critics back then, and in response to negative allegations he had made about that Migrate would follow Touch My Body as the second single, Mariah stated that Migrate wouldn't be the second single, that she knew what she was doing. That she had been doing it for a long time. Mariah and her team had decided to stick with the formula of an uptempo and then a ballad, I don't think it was a decision that was pushed onto her, and she hasn't ever stated so. She definitely wanted Migrate to be a single, but not the second single. With E=MC2, Mariah was riding high on the success of The Emancipation Of Mimi, and she had the full support of her label, but bad single choices and the abandonment of the project by Mariah for whatever reason, they let die what could've been an album with four of five #1 hits. I think they went with "Bye Bye" as the second single because some of the critics who had heard the album at various listening parties stated that if nothing else could be a hit, "Bye Bye" would be a sure hit. Bye, Bye (58,903) by B from USA Why Bye, Bye was chosen as the second single is mind boggling. A poor decision. Had any of the midtempo/uptempo songs been chosen as the second single Mariah would have scored another #1. The ballads on E=MC2 were weak with the exception of Thanx 4 Nothin, For The Record, and I Wish You Well. I'm thrilled Mariah is working with Warren. Plus I think it has such a nice narrative that the video would have been quite easy to make. As much as I love "Bye Bye", releasing that song after TMB was one of the stupidest mistakes of Mariah's team if not the whole music industry haha. I mean come on, who does that? I don't think she intended to do a residency like Celine's or Britney's. If she had she would have went with a venue that doesn't already have a rooster of rotating talent. So I am pretty sure she said "I wouldn't" because I read the transcript of the interview. I either read transcript or it was a print interview I can't recall, I just know that I didn't get to see the interview or hear the audio. I think I might have come across the interview in MCA. New album, new look (58,899) by Malcolm from Asia I wish Mariah would try some new hairstyle/haircut for the next era. I always imagine her in a short hair and I think it suits her and bring some youthfulness on her look. And when I saw this, it's definitely good, but this look is what I most looking forward for her. It will be surely a surprise for all the people, it will be talked about and I guess will introduce her to younger generation, all they (Team Mariah) need is right outfits and on-point style at any moment. I will say this, JLo has fabulous amount of followers on Instagram because of her on-point looks and selfies, if Mariah will do the same thing it will bring her some huge following most especially having that unparalleled artistry, we will definitely see her back at number one.
