I've seen her on my own already and it's just not the same as with company, especially similar minded company. There is just so much to appreciate with the ad-libs etc that a casual listener may just be oblivious to. I'm sure you will be able to find a fellow lamb to meet up and possibly get a seat close or next to.

Survey question: Hero? (58,519)

I have seen how Hero brings people to tears, but I would change it to Fly Like A Bird with a full choir.

Hey Jade. Yeah I don't mind going to things on my own, I go to the cinema on my own all the time haha. I just know it would be enjoyable with like-minded people. I've only considered concerts a few times mostly because they can be pricey but I feel if I don't see her now I might never get the chance. It is a good idea to ask around so if anyone does fancy it, holler. Thank you for the consideration though, I hope you have a fab time when you go.

Luke I have never been on my own but to be honest if my partner wasn't going with me I'd still go on my lonesome. It's been so long since Mariah came to the UK and ok, she's no way as good as she was but hey I've accepted that. I'm just pleased that Mariah is still going, even if she's not on the same par. The atmosphere, the fans, Mariah and the goosebumps will outweigh the fact that you're on your own. I'm sure there are plenty of fans that would bask in the moment with you. If I could, I would have had you join me but my ticket is already booked. Maybe start a post of Mariah fans who have no one to go a concert with? Potentially you could find a fan alike and attend the show with you? You've got nothing to lose.

Mariah Superwoman (58,515)
by Gilles from Malta
| |
|

Even if I am very exited about everything going on, I would love that my favorite singer has some rest and holidays because she has been no stop performing for almost 2 years, changed label, divorced and all that stuff. Mariah take your time for the next album, take it easy a bit, I do not want that MC faces again what happened in 2001 and has a physical burnout. Spread love. I know we are all excited regarding MC but I really think that sometimes we are too eager and greedy, we are going to her (I do not even want to type the verb). Have a nice holiday everyone.

I am very tempted to see her perform in Luxembourg or Zurich because there the song "Anytime you need a friend" was number 1 for a month. The same for "Without you". Hope she will respect what she said. Feeling excited.

A hello from you Maria could help friend please re (58,513)

I fell in love with your biggest fan. His name is Joey. There's been heartbreak, death, and tragedy. At 33 years old Joey's been hiding behind walls for a few months. And only looks to your voice for comfort. He's been your biggest fan your entire career. We met relating to have same recent tragedies. The longer he stays like this, the more sad he becomes. I pulled him out and had him inspired for a moment for he inspired me. But I wasn't enough. I believe personal talk maybe phone or Skype could pull him out this severe depression. I'm hurt too but his smile is the only thing that pulled me out of mine. Please Miss Maria Carey willl you please surprise my freind with just a hello. That's all it would take. Two minutes of your time. Please? Sincerely Peter.

Good vibrations (58,512)
by David F from Mexico

Very happy to see our Mariah if full force, vocally and in style. I love her weight gains and when she is in excellent figure, that sometimes says our actual happiness or sadness, anyway I am hoping that the Merriest Christmas TV special reaches a lot of viewers, just like Adele did. This might be a good chance to get some new fans for her, and move up her sales. When will people realize Mariah is the real thing?

That's brilliant. I've always wanted her to perform that song. She was scheduled to perform it on MTV's 20th anniversary special. I wouldn't mind her re-creating the video of the riding on the low rider when performing it live.

Urban Outfitters and HMV vinyl (58,508)
by Matty from Vancouver Canada

I Love that Urban Outfitters and HMV are now selling Mariah vinyls. This is a good sign that MC is grabbing the attention of a younger audience recently and dare I say even tapping into the arduous hipster crowd. Urban Outfitters by my apartment has a big display set up front as soon as you walk in the front door with the Merry Christmas album.

Hey all! New here (58,506)
by Dustbin from USA

Hey all. I've been lurking the board for awhile and thought I would finally post and get in on the action. My name is Dustin, I'm from Oklahoma. Ive been a hardcore MC fan since 1999. I celebrated the 5th anniversary of my 25th birthday last month. I've been hearing a lot of ideas for Mariah's next move. I agree with the article "lets focus on the Mariah we have now". In my humble opinion I agree that Mariah should switch gears. Personally I would like to hear Mariah sing music that: 1) she can sing live with no "help" 2) songs that mean something to her, I want to hear her emotion once again 3) songs that aren't reincarnations of previous songs. And as far as her live/concerts I would love to hear to rework some of her material. I think it would be greatly beneficial to her career to have a TV special where she reworks a lot of her classic hits. Although Mariah cannot sing like she could when she was 20, she sounds A+ to me. She sings leaps ahead of current singers, but falls short when trying to recreate what she could do when she was younger. Don't we all? Also, I'm pumped for Saturday and the Funny or Die snippets. So fun. Nice to meet you all.

Haha I'd still dance and sing along even on my own. London is nearest but then it all depends on tickets because I want to be a sat close enough to smell her.

Yay. In this backstage mini-interview where MiMi revealed the European tour, she also implied that the Lambily around the world will be able to see her TV projects with Hallmark, "hopefully". This is the full clip.

Luke, mate, don't be daft, don't go on your own. You can't talk about it or you won't have as much fun singing and/or dancing along. Post what city you're near and I'm sure someone would love your company.

Lacey Chabert gushes on working with Mariah Carey (58,501)
by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End
| |
|
|
Awww, Lacey is a total sweetheart and she's got the art of effortless plugging down to a science on The Real. The amount of information she packed in to a 0:57 second clip is astounding: Mariah (whom she's a big fan of) serenaded her on her birthday when she got the part on A Christmas Melody which premieres this Saturday December 19th on Hallmark directly followed by Mariah's merriest Christmas. And she looks fabulous doing it.

O Holy Night (58,498)

I think this has to be the best performance thus far. I thought the first couple nights were kind of shaky but this one is a definite stone groove. You hear her lovely lower tones and she sounds strong.
