Eric, I am still having the problem with the "new message" option and also there is a problem with the "reply" button now too. I have not been able to use it since my last message. [Webmaster: It's already very late here in the Netherlands, so I will check it tomorrow. But it would really help if you tell me what the problem is.] [Update: I think I know what went wrong, thanks to RJJ12, and I think the problem is solved now.]

I am not able to reply without getting errors, seems I was able to submit this new message tbough. I like the format and looked forward to using "reply", but apparently a few bugs? [Webmaster: I feel bad. I thought everything was working OK. Could you tell me what kind of errors did you get? My e-mailaddress is info@mcarchives.com.]

Re: Remix (55,746) (55,751)

She did re-sing the verse. I think she probably re-sang the chorus too but exactly like the original. However the layering makes the "infinity ee ee" less grating. I want to hear the HQ version.

It sounds like she added/changed the final verse a little bit? And I think she re-sang the first verse. Looking forward to hearing it properly.

Infinity remix (55,744)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
| |
|
|
Ok so I heard the remix. Very low quality but you can hear it here. I'll have to say even from LQ version it sounds better than the original. Although the chorus is similar to the original, she did layer it with something so the "Infinity ee ee ee" doesn't sound so harsh. The first verse is French, then Mariah comes in with "why you mad verse" skips the "frito rap" and goes straight into "close the door, lose the keys". Then comes Justin with his verse. Yes I am happy Justin has a verse and not just background vocals. Justin's new song is making headlines and impacting BB without even being released. So he still has a lot of pull fan base wise. I wonder when they plan to release it. I mean they said "coming soon" but that can mean anything.

Mariah was such a doll (55,743)

I'm surprised there are no earlier modeling photos of Mariah because she was an absolute doll at 18 in that Brenda K Star video. Malibu Barbie lol.

Roc is like any of us (55,742)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
| |
|
|
I saw this gif of Roc and it is hilarious. Honestly this could be any of us when we see Mariah haha. Trying to lounge on her booty while someone drags us out and we kick and scream. It's cute. I know a lot of people got angry and said the kids were misbehaving or that the kids should have been left at home but really they are just kids and Mariah brought them because it's a career milestone for her and she probably wanted to share her day with the kids. I wouldn't even blame Nick for this, it's no one's fault really. Except for maybe the entourage, who could have done a better job but maybe the kids were screaming and they didn't want to get fired for denying Mariah's kids anything. It's not that big of a deal, the ceremony went smoothly. Roc seems to be very attached to his mom because even when she was sitting in the audience, he was all over her, touching and grabbing her and all that. Roe is more shy and composed but you can tell even she wants to hold on to Mariah because she ran to her every chance she got. I think it shows that Mariah indeed is close to her babies unlike what many people think that she just leaves them with the nannies all the time. I had a big smile on my face when she picked up each kid and they both yelled "I love you mommy". 25 years in the business, over 200 million records sold, more #1's than any solo artist, but I think Mariah's biggest achievement is getting the 2 awards she got in April 2011.

Guys, take a look at this video. There are a few seconds where you can see MC perform background vocals for Brand K. Starr way before her solo career. It's amazing. She was just a baby here. Also, there are a few backstage moments from the "Emotions" video that I've never seen before. Check it out.

Mariah has a busy remainder of the year ahead (55,738)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
This year has been amazing for Mariah. I really credit her new managers with getting her back on track. With the Israel concert to her Christmas movie/concerts to Empire, she is going to shine this fall. I really hope her Empire character stirs up trouble for Luscious and Cookie. Mariah should do an R&B duets album with Tyrese, Trey Songz, Chris Brown, Babyface, Sam Smith, Lyfe Jennings, Jesse Powell, Usher, Maxwell, Sam Salter, and Miguel. I wonder what will her next album be like. She probably won't begin recording until after February of next year.

I know we miss the hot and skinny Mariah but now it seems like you're insulting her. It's cute to pick and tease her a little but no need to hammer it on in. Saying only her hair was nice is so, I can't even know what to say. She literally looked like a doll. You have to cut her some slack, ever since her arm injury she's been having trouble to keep her shape. She was flawless from head to toe. The only thing I would probably change would be her earrings, she's worn those so many times that some nice diamonds would've added an extra pow. She might not have serve body but she served glam-more dahling.

Mariah looked Fabulous at the Hollywood Walk of Fame Ceremony. That hair and makeup was perfect and giving me "I Still Believe" moments, and the gown was a classic Mariah look. She looks so happy these days.

HWOF (55,735)
by Leigh from USA

I know it was Mariah's day and way overdue, but it was definitely Roc's "walk of fame". Truly all boy and what a little hellion. I am unsure how much of the stream is playing on YouTube and elsewhere, but the live stream started without sound far before the ceremony began and from the moment I saw Roc on camera it was going to be all his. I almost fell off my chair when they finally got started. That limp that Mariah had that looked like a scene played in the movie where the hunchback of notre dame summoning Igor was because Roc was actually attached to Mariah's entire leg from her thigh to her ankle all the way to the podium until she peeled him off (as most moms have) like a banana peel. The star tribute was awesome, but the interactions Mariah had with her kids, the affection that was reciprocated between them, and the manner by which Mariah was able to display her love for them while maintainting her professional poise goes beyond words and points out why that star is hers. Outstanding. This is why she does what she does so well. When you love something that much, you can make it look effortless.

A goat vs a lamb (55,732)
by Ty from USA
| |
|
|
While again some of you don't realize you're goats not lambs, this is a positive moment of celebration where the world all agrees Mariah Carey is a living legend and worthy of praise. Instead of rejoicing, the goats want to speak of her weight, she just looked ok, her 4 year old babies being just that babies. Shut-up and rejoice. Rihanna's navy does not do this. The beehive does not, stop being nasty to Mimi.

Walk of Fame (55,730)
by Lee TS from USA

Wow, how stunning was she? Mariah looked every bit of the star and what a wonderful way to recognize all that she's achieved (so far). She was perfection. I couldn't get over how Rocky was so attached to her, even though he was acting out a little bit the pictures are the cutest. Him resting his head on her booty has to be the cutest thing ever, reminded me of the Lion King. I loved everything about her today, she looked expensive and brand new. Buckle and Roque always get her looking right. Although a little disappointed about Infinity remix, it sounded good in the background. I hope she has a good time celebrating today.

Mariah looked beautiful, elegant and like a true star. It's a pity Roc was having a very off day behaviour wise, but it's understandable for his age. Mariah can't exactly be in mother mode when all the cameras are on her. I am surprised though that Mariah's own mother was not there (from what I could tell). Mariah literally had no close family member with her and you would have thought that Patricia would have made a rare appearance for her daughter's honouring. Oh well. I hope all is well behind the scenes family wise.
