Morgan (54,178) by Luke from United Kingdom
If you believe what was said (if he even said it), then you have no idea what an alcoholic or addict is. Her voice wouldn't be improving like it has been, I doubt Ceasers or Sony would agree to sign a contract with a drug addicted alcoholic and I don't think her children would be allowed to spend the majority of their time with a disfunctional mother. The fact that she's okay having a little drink with interviewers in the evening shows that she's far from being an alcoholic. It's when they're smashed in the morning and adamant they have never been drinking that you should start worrying. As far as having a stripped down interview, it wouldn't hurt but the tabloids are always going to be saying stuff like this. Remember that it's not just her they do it too though.

National Enquirer (54,177) by darrian liu from taiwan
That article is pure bullshit. The media is just trying to tear down Mariah at this really good time when Mariah is rebuilding her image now. If you're trying to spread a lie through an article, at least post some convincing, well-written article, not that piece of rotten Frito.

That was a good song. Very late night. Which reminds me I'm gonna need that new Maxwell album now. Mariah should do Mariah though.

Mariah Carey Archives (54,175) by Lee TS from USA
Please, this is in no way of criticizing the webmaster. But I noticed recently you've kind of started to omit in posting certain articles relating to Mariah that may seem harmful to her image or negative in light. Just coming from being a fan of Mariah and this website (since '99), I want to know all things related to Mariah, the good, bad, and the ugly. And I mean this in the best way possible, but don't become like Mariah Daily where she is only praised and things get censored. That keeps us in the dark. You were brave enough to post when Mariah was drunk accepting her acting award or when Nick made those crude jokes first appearing on Howard Stern. This is our go-to source and can look up past stories/articles. Yeah, that's all. [The only article I didn't post was the The National Enquirer story about Morgan and Mariah. It's The National Enquirer, need I see more why I didn't post it?]

RJJ / Morgan (54,174) by Licia from USA
I love that song by Tamia. After I heard this song I forgave her for that Sandwich and a Soda song. Lol. As far as that supposed interview by Morgan, I'm taking what was said with a grain of salt. The National Enquirer isn't exactly my go to news outlet for truthful stories. Throughout Mariah's whole career I have never seen or heard Morgan ever speak of Mariah good or bad in the media. Why would he start now?

Least liked or disliked songs (54,173) by enwar00 from usa
This isn't even easy. I tried to find 5 from non-Christmas non-bonus track studio albums but really couldn't. I just love her songs that much what can I say. Overall for me though the lull in her catalogue is her output with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, which is interesting because I love all (caps) their work with Janet miss Jackson if you're nasty. Especially The Velvet Rope, a masterpiece imo.
*Never too Far - I've mentioned this before and I know some people adore it. Something about it just seems fake and forced to me. And cheesy. Sorry but jmo. The opposite of Lead The Way, which kills me every time.
*X-Girlfriend - Eh and blah. Cookie cutter.
*Auld Lang Syne - I just kind of can't stand that song in general.
*Not a fan of random tracks Imperfect and Bring It On Home. I'll let 100% slide this time. To me they weren't on an album for a reason. A few I initially thought would be on here were Through The Rain (Remix) with Joe and that hater, but I listened to it and it's not bad. Reflections (Care Enough) sometimes annoys me, I think mostly that line about being aborted that's just kind of awkward, but overall it is sung very nicely. And Can't Take That Away I had to relisten to again, but really how can I hate on that message. Quite frankly that song is still pertinent as we speak from all the haterade she receives on a daily 16 years later from friends and foes and allegedly even family now, as well as some shady fans that lurk on this board sometimes too. Love you.

Forever (54,172) by ktktkt from Philippines
I can't believe someone will dislike it. Anyway this song is my favorite from Mariah as it reminds me of her glory days in Daydream tour especially the live version in Rotterdam. Whenever she had a bad performance, I watch her singing Forever live to remind me how I become a fan. This song just had a lot of great vocal moments attached to it. So there.

Worst songs (54,171) by Bill from the UK
1. Boy (I Need You) - I didn't like the Cam'Ron song and this was a rehash of it. Don't really rate Cam'Ron much either, and I think Mariah's vocal is, for the first time ever, somewhat uninspired.
2. Didn't Mean to Turn You On - Again, never a big fan of the original. I get it is supposed to be a homage to the time period but all those 80s sound effects throughout grate on me.
3. Against All Odds - Mariah only version is fine but the Westlife version is beyond reproach. A calculated move to score a hit, and Mariah's vocals just highlight how untalented those boys are.
4. Did I Do That - Softening to this one over time. The lyrics are great, I think it's the jarring "Ain't My Fault" sample that gets to me.
5. I'm That Chick - I love MJ, love Mariah, how I didn't love this baffles me still. I think the lyrics are a bit questionable.
RJJ12, I can't believe this but in my youth (10 years old), I always used to skip Vanishing and AYNAF from their respective albums. Those songs are now my favourites from their albums and my go to tracks from those eras. Sometimes I spend a whole day with just one of them on repeat. Tastes change with time I guess.

Infinity video/s? (54,170) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
Okay, I had high hopes for this one, and although I was more than a bit let down, I think it's a smart promotional strategy. It's practically an ad for her residency, and although its semblance of a storyline is under-baked and quite the mess, she still looks mighty fine. Weren't there rumors of her shooting two videos for the song, though? Like probably where the first leaked teaser (Mariah in her boudoir) came from?

Morgans interview (54,169) by Liz Archer from Sweden
Of course we have no way of knowing if this is true. But I am concerned. It seem to me that Morgan is actually really worried about his sister. Mariah is very isolated. I have been worried about the people around her may not be good for her for a long time and if she really does isolate herself from her family or anyone that wants her good. That is something to be very worried about.

If you run you mouth in an interview, I will hunt you down (54,168) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Yes, I intentionally changed the lyrics. Anyways I really feel bad for Mariah. 3-4 blasts in less than 2 weeks. It's gotta take a toll. Surprised Allison hasn't popped up yet. If Morgan did say those things, or even half of it, Mariah should really hunt him down. I don't care what he thought, but to publicly call out your sister on what I believe are false accusations and making morbid predictions about her death is beyond wrong. She has kids now, I don't believe she'd jeopardize her life and not care about her kids. Plus in the interviews she did a while back, both print and Vegas arrival ones, she sounded positive about future and she sounded like she is in a good place. Morgan dahlin' your story is a year late, bye Felicia. Ain't no being friends.

Mariah doesn't take her drugs and alcohol seriously sometimes (54,167) by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End
If anything, she should be drinking more. These sips and splashes are so MOR and why not try opium for a change? Mariah's writing would surely benefit greatly from it too and then maybe finally she could actually claim she's a singer songwriter with a straight face. All true artists must suffer beyond life's usual strife and also actively cultivate substance abuse issues. Take up smoking again will you? At least give it a good old college try before you quit again. Winners struck with it you know? I mean, those humidifiers she sleeps with and decks her dressing room with should be spraying alcohol into the air constantly so she never has to deal with any sober moments at all. It's anecdotally proven to be creatively conducive by many rockstars. What about an IV drip for effeciancy? We need to think outside of the Music Box because she's such an amateur sometimes, it is embarrassing how lightly she takes drugs and alcohol. It's almost like she's not an alcoholic, drug addict or even smoker. How can she expect to get respect for her artistry if she's just some regular moderate drinker on the low?

Tamia Stuck With Me / new album suggestion (54,165) by 123 from USA
Mariah, I need you to listen to this song asap. It's the kind of direction you should go in. It's contemporary R&B without the risk of sounding dated in a few years. Great lyrics, melody, production, and vocals. The vocals can be strong without having to go into unrealistic heights. I need a song like this on the new album. Tell me what you think?

Mariah's brother, Morgan (54,163) by Nathan from USA
I find it truly disturbing that Morgan is selling out his sister. Very disappointing. I don't like any of what he said and I'll leave it at that.

Lastly (54,162) by Mara from United States
On a not so serious note, I absolutely loved the buzzfeed questions and one particular answer she gave. I'll quote: 5. Is there an artist that you'd like to collaborate with whom you haven't worked with yet? "I want to collaborate with me 'cause I've done so many collaborations that after a certain point unless you're really working with a certain caliber of an artist, there's no point to collaborate. It just becomes, 'Oh, let's throw these two people together', and that's what I feel is wrong with some of the collaborations that happen today and, dare I say, I helped paved the way for some of these little collaborations that happened today." Finally she is stating the obvious and claiming some credit where it is damn well deserved. Looking at you Katy P, Taylor etc.

Morgan (54,160) by Mara from United States
I read the quotes supposedly from him and as a fan that feels more like a long lost sister of MC, I am concerned. I know everyone says it's a tabloid and what not, but what if, just what if he went all the other routes and got absolutely no place reaching his sister. I know it's wrong but maybe it is tough love? I don't know, maybe not. But we do know she likes her splashes, they even make their presence in the new video. Maybe it's all nothing, I like a splash or two myself and I can't imagine if I lived in the public eye and it was documented every time I did indulge. But I do agree that it is time for Mariah to do a serious tell all type of interview with either Oprah or Diane or bring Barbara back for it. I feel it is imperative for her to do this at this stage. The public has so many misconceptions on Mariah Carey and only know and perceive her as a looney demanding over the top diva. I hate that people don't get that she plays it up, but I feel she needs to remove the gloves, show the world another side and do some damage control. Sometimes even though we don't want, we have to go where we don't want to, if that makes any sense. She is a public figure and people are making assumptions of their own and now her children come into play. I hope if she does not do a tell all interview, that the rumors about a behind the scenes documentary are true at least, and show her in a different light. People need to see another side to Mariah. MC's a very deep soul who most of the time hides behind this diva act. I wish people knew the other side we all know as her closest fans. Even with the behind the scenes rants and whatnot on her #1's she makes them mostly about her image and looks while filmed, instead of the song and the impact it made or the process of writing it. I guess that is the reason for the rants or whatever. I just feel as fans of her, we want to protect her legacy and her as a person. Does anyone know if Patricia has been to Vegas at all? It seems like while Mariah was with Nick, she was closer to his mom than her own. I feel there is a lot about Mariah she keeps very private and rightfully so, but as fans we can be concerned. We are her family. Sorry for the rant, just want Mariah the person, to be alright.

Forever (54,157) by Ardis Logic from Earth
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but to say that "Forever" is "yawn" just blows my mind. I love that song. It's beautiful. It's an instant classic. One day after we are all long gone someone is probably going to do a cover of that song and get a #1 hit.

My top 3 least favorite songs by MC (54,156) by Ardis Logic from Earth
*H.A.T.E.U. - I know that MC says this is an acronym that stands for having a typical emotional upset. However, this has to be the "most negative song" Mariah has ever written. Hating someone is very damaging to one's self. It's best to just forgive that person and yourself, and release it with love into the universe. Learn from the mistakes of the relationship and try to move on without having hate in your heart. Hating someone does nothing to that person that you are angry with, but it does major damage to one's soul. So that's mostly why I don't like it.
*Money - Mostly that horn that is littered over most of the entire track just ruins the song for me. If there was a way to take off the horn the song would be a little more tolerable.
*If We - Why I never listen to this song? Ja Rule, uh I just can not stand this dude's voice. Now if she could replace Ja Rule with someone else then the song would be better in my opinion.

Last Night A DJ Saved My Life (54,155) by Ardis Logic from Earth
I have a love/hate feeling for this song. The video is hot. Fabalous was good, but I feel like there was too much lyrical freedom given to Busta. "Shake that shit and just bounce around." Uh what, is this a strip club song now? If she would have not put Busta in it, would have been much better. But I don't dislike it enough to put it on my list of "Top worst MC songs".

Songs I hated that I now love/like (54,153) by 123 from USA
Can we start a new topic, I believe we have already done the "songs I dislike" list? To stray away from the negativity of songs I hate, how about songs I hated that I now love and the reasons why. I'll start off with one:
The Roof: I feel my hands burning for even typing this. This is my all time favorite Mariah song, but when it was released, I couldn't get into it. And I never hated it but it just didn't appeal to me. Fast forward 2006 when YouTube was birthed I saw a Lamb's video and the song was used to illustrate it. The lyrics came alive and I became obsessed with the brilliance of it. The moodiness, the yearning, and the running to nostalgia to get away from your present day life. I could go on.
Did I Do That?: When I first heard this song, I thought it was the worst song she ever created, a rush job, album filler. At some point I was reading the lyrics in the booklet out of curiosity to what she was even saying in the song, as I didn't pay too much attention due to the fact that I couldn't get past the jarring noise emanating from my speaker. Wait a minute, did she just say "conversations painfully weak, you were much better off when you didn't speak". That so clever and underhanded. Mariah's first diss song?
You Had Your Chance: I just hated her vocal on this at first, too much whispering, and wrong sample choice. When Dr Dre's previous is so prominent, that you can't hear it as anything else, much less a Mariah Carey love song. Years and a few broken hearts later, I went through a similar situation as described in this song. Someone I once couldn't live without reemerged in my life and I didn't feel a thing for them at all. And they were interested. Sorry, you had your chance. The hook was so well written and cleverly sung to flow nicely. "And now you want me back again, after my heartache and suffering, I was your fool, but that's all in the past. So sorry boy, but you had your chance."
