Radomes and Janet (55,103) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
I'm seeing Janet in Vancouver. I can't wait. We're sitting row 23 on the floor. Seeing her in Hawaii would be fantastic. I've been so incredibly blessed for concerts this year, I've christened it my "Year of Legends".
1. Mariah in Vegas
2. Tony Bennet and Lady Gaga in Vancouver
3. Shania Twain in Vancouver
4. Janet Jackson in Vancouver
Also I saw Katy Perry this year, but not sure if she's of "legend" status or not yet haha.

Infinity promo (55,099) by Lee TS from USA
Yay proud to report Shazam is doing some Mariah promo. While waiting to watch Ted 2 at the moment, Mariah has already appeared twice during the commercials. They're like 10 second spot promos playing the Infinity video brought to you by Shazam and Caesars. Ok they just played her again, haha.

Video: Whitney puts Wendy Williams in her place (55,095) by Ardis Logic from Earth
I miss Whitney so much. My heart breaks for her poor daughter. Sending lots of love to her right now. Anyways. I found this awesome video of the fierce Whitney. She was such a bad ass woman. She put Wendy right in her place. I wonder if MC will ever get that chance. In this "freaking classic" video, Wendy asks Whitney about her and Bobby having sex. Wendy asks her "I bet you all have wild circus sex don't you?" and Whitney responds, "Wendy, don't make me meet you outside. Come on now, you getting too deep. You could picture it couldn't you, you nasty bitch." She was so bad ass. RIP Miss Whitney you are missed.

BBMAs (55,094) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I was watching the BBMAs performance of Mariah again, and I have to say that now I think it was actually much better than what I thought when I first saw it. I mean I never thought it was really bad. In fact I was happy that she pulled it off despite being somewhat visibly nervous. She did hold back on some notes, which she later let out in the Kimmel performance (the "I had a vision of love" growl) and then the Kelly and Michael performance (where she was rolling out one whistle after another and making it look so effortless). Anyways back to the BBMAs, at first I felt that the transition from VOL to "Infinity" was a little abrupt, but after watching it a few times now, I think it's not half as bad. Overall, after re-watching that performance several times, I now feel that it was a pretty good performance and she looked so beautiful and adorable. That dress looked great on her, I am glad she changed into it because I wasn't really feeling the black outfit she wore on the red carpet. Too much boobs and the sheer panels were not giving a flattering illusion. "Infinity" is definitely a good song for live performances. It sounds much more grand. I think a lot of people started liking the song after they heard it live, that's why the song kept shooting up the charts every time she had a live performance.

I have to give it to you, you've done a tremendous job cleaning that initial post up. Cheers. Toast. Bravo. To you dahling, but I still stand by my thoughts on the way you came across the first time. You were trying it with that post girl. Lol. I totally disagree with the "Mariah getting what she deserved" comment though, she didn't deserve to be put in the predicament period. It was a very grimy move on the producers part. I'm sure they had every intention of "Nicki outshining Mariah" (as you put it). Nicki was casted to be the younger, fun, flamboyant, eccentric, crazy wildcard judge (for gimmick reasons) and Mariah was to be the creditable judge. This became a problem because then it starts to be about comparing the female judges ("Nicki's fun, Mariah is boring and serious") when it's supposed to be about the contestants. It makes sense for Mariah to not be here for that. Besides what diva (or person for that matter) enjoys being upstaged? It was cute for Nicki to acknowledge Mariah's success and influence (Mariah showed Nicki the same love and told her she will "go far"), but it doesn't excuse her blowing the "feud" way out of proportion. Nicki is a shady heifer too (don't get it twisted), all she had to do was throw it back at Mariah while still keeping it cute and Im sure it would've blown over better and they could've made up and "complemented each others judging style how Jesus would've loved".

JD (55,091) by B from USA
Could someone please share a link to the JD interview that is being discussed? The only thing I was able to find was the interview in which he said MC doesn't take her career as seriously as she should. I did read that he lost his Atlanta mansion. Guess that's what happens when you bite the hand that feeds you.

Bad blood: American idiots edition (55,090) by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End
JLo's infiltration of the American Idol brand is the reason (a very sensible one considering one pilfered their entire music career from the other) Mariah insisted on a no other female 3 person panel and the producers underhandedly promised her exactly that, until she signed their shady contract. You really think JLo wouldn't have loved to play Nicki's part? It would've been Emmy worthy. Randy was a given and they were cool beans and always had been. And contrary to what The Vendetta likes to falsely perpetuate Mariah's cool with 99% of everyone she's ever met. Be it casual fans, lambs, ex-writing partners, collaborators, industry people most don't know by name as well as her many followers but most notably, her peers and contemporaries all love her. Mariah is a very likeable person. The activity and history of this board is proof of that (btw, thanks for the assist Web Eric ). My point is, that M's very aware of her public image and the machinations behind it. Obviously she doesn't know the minutiae of every single negativity but I digress. So MC detonates the JLo grenade only to find herself on a 4 person panel with an "artist" who'd made it clear beyond windex that she wouldn't be supporting UOMF during the video shoot no less. Ask B. Scott. Something the AI producers had years to sniff out. Word gets around. Nicki Minaj was their Plan B. itch from inception. They, including JLo and TM, played her. It's not complicated. Now AI is cancelled yet it's Mariah's fault?

MC (55,089) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I wonder when that HB shoot is coming out. If Stella got Mariah on that deal, Mariah should keep Stella forever because even when she was was with Andre Leon and Benny Medina, Mariah never got to be the cover girl for HB, Vogue and Vanity Fair and I failed to comprehend why since 2005-2008 Mariah was on fire both success and glamour wise. I still don't know if the HB thing is for real or she just had a shoot with the people involved with HB for her own project. Either ways, I want to know what went down. Plus Mariah why do you hang out with Balmain's designer and yet don't give me a single Balmain moment? Get it together woman. I root for Edgy-Riah. Last but not the least, fingers crossed for Mariah to drop that hideous Alaia dress which looks like a fish is swallowing her. The collar and scaly fish tail mess. Replace that permanently with the BBMAs stage outfit.

Mirage (55,088) by JAXGH from United States
You’re clearly overacting. “Are you a perfect saint yourself?” Lmao. Guess what? None of those artists are real Christians. Mariah freaking Carey is the only one who genuinely put her love of God through her music. She even said it herself (with 18 #1). She is a true testament that nothing is possible with the Lord. Heck her first single was her offering to God. Why do you think she’s the most successful? Rihanna, Nicki Minaj and Eminem are gimmick artists. Don’t you ever compare. That wasn’t my logic either. My main point was the devil will go after truly talented influential artists and tear them apart (i.e. Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson). I did not say Mariah Carey is evil. I said the devil always would do something to mess up artists used by God. It’s evident in her love and professional life. After she reached success and happiness, evil got Nick, the foundation ended. Satan succeeded on ending the union. The whole entire world judges Mariah Carey so you don’t have to be so uptight about it. What you do is pray, keep praying for her. Nicki Minaj didn’t make it hard. Mariah made it hard. Nicki Minaj always acknowledged Mariah’s legendary status and gave her love, even when the fight broke out. She kept it real. Her feelings really was hurt. The truth is Nicki outshined Mariah. Mariah didn’t like it, threw shots, got what she deserved right back, held a grudge and it went on the whole season. Point dot dot. Nonetheless it’s over so let’s move on and hope the best for her.

Snubs (55,087) by darrian liu from taiwan
When I first became a lamb, I thought that Mariah had at least 10 Grammys because the first albums I really listened through were Daydream and Butterfly (consecutive musical masterpieces). Each could frickin vacuum the Grammys like nothing. The debut album, Music Box and TEOM could sweep the Grammys pretty easily as well. Imagine how surprised I am that she only had 5. Beyonce, an artist who had less cultural and musical impact (a good artist nonetheless), won 4 times more than Mariah. I really don't understand. Why would they snub such an artist like that?

Wendy, you were much better off when you didn't speak (55,085) by Anonymous from
Everytime Wendy speaks, I hear Mariah in my mind singing "Conversation so painfully weak, you were much better off when you didn't speak." Also, nobody cares when the tears of a clown fall down. Who cares when Wendy cries?

AI (55,084) by Licia from USA
The only thing I didn't understand about the AI situation is why it mattered to Mariah that another female was on the panel. Even when there was a rumor that there was going to be a fourth judge Mariah tried to recruit a male (Lenny Kravitz). I just never got it. The whole situation was stupid and never should have happened anyway.

Beautiful music (55,083) by Bill from the UK
So there I was driving along listening to MC on my iPod, which plugs into my car stereo. All of a sudden I have to do an emergency stop, and the iPod lead connecting it to the stereo loosened slightly. MC's vocals then disappear and I'm left with just the instrumentals and background vocals to the songs. I'm playing the Daydream album and, my God, it was an experience. There were harmonies and background vocals I never even realised until that moment. UTS, I Am Free, ABMB, Melt Away all have so, so much going on in the background it was unbelievable. And for those songs with no backing vocals, I never noticed how beautiful the music was. The strings in the final chorus of When I Saw You are overwhelming as they crescendo up. I then managed to listen to the Emotions album as well. The backing vocals were astonishing on And You Don't Remember and You're So Cold, and did you know that The Wind has wind softly blowing throughout and not just the beginning and end? Also, the bass and drums didn't come through on the Emotions album, I never knew what a talent David Cole was at the piano until it was brought into the foreground like that. Unfortunately it then went back to normal afterwards but what an experience.

If you grab on, you better hold on (55,082) by Alexis Morell Carrington Colby Dexter Rowan from USA
That feud wasn't fake. It may have been spun by Fox and AI to boost ratings, but the acrimony was real. Fox just used what the women gave. Publicly I defend Mariah in the feud, but honestly she was dead ass wrong. Yes, Mariah is a legend, the biggest selling this, most #1s that, but if she had a nasty attitude and kept throwing shots at me, I can't promise that I wouldn't cuss her ass out, too. Nicki came back at Mariah, and Mariah couldn't take it. Mariah is passive-aggressive, not outright aggressive, and the quickest way to shut down a passive-aggressive person is to confront them. Mariah was in the wrong, plain and simple. Whitney was confident in herself, Celine is confident in herself, Madonna is up her own ass, Janet is confident in herself. Mariah. The whole thing reminded me of Alexis and Krystal on "Dynasty". Alexis had a slick mouth and could read for filth, Krystle didn't have a slick mouth piece, but she had hands, so when it was time to confront Alexis' smart mouth, Krystle beat her ass in a catfight because Alexis couldn't fight to save her life.

Cut Wendy some slacks people, a lot of take offs and landings in her airport (55,081) by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End
Honestly, some of you guys need to chill on Wendy. She is clearly troubled and using her show as a means to work through her personal issues. It happens to the worst of us. And I'm not just saying that to be shady, I felt I had to clarify as that is usually my natural inclination but she's been spilling her own tea for years: "Friends in my head", "In my mind XYZ", real world earth population ca 7 billion a.k.a. you, me and everyone inside Wendy's dome? Really, she's not that monumentally different from half the current posters on this board. I wouldn't be surprised, if? Let me count the ways;
1. Bitching about Mariah's professional/personal involvement with a successful billionaire who just so happens to have a jigsaw social/family life and friendly exes. Bitter much, bitch?
2. Improvising and acting out drama can be very healing, when it actually involves you and not someone you don't even RT on Twitter. But anyone with 20 minutes to chill could've told her MC and JP met in Aspen 2013 when Dembabies were but a Morsel and a Mouthful. For all we know, JP was St Nick that year (inside joke). I guess Santa grants his own wishes occasionally.
3. A woman who relies, heavily, on trade trix, smoke and mirrors to pull off her look does not have the dressing room big enough to be looking down on a man who is still taller than her even if she wore 5 inch heels and a bouffant wig. Face it: Virgin Mariah is hot commodity no matter what because her best features are found in her.

AI feud: my take (55,079) by Lamb_O_Chop from Australia
Was Mariah a little salty/resentful about the way AI swindled her into signing on? Yes ofcourse, who wouldn't be? It's the principal of the matter and she deserved the same curiosity (or more) that they gave J.Lo as being guaranteed as the only female judge. I don't think it's really about her not being able to deal with working with other female artists (another myth), but it's more about her always getting the short end of the stick in this industry (the Grammies snubs, not being recognized as a songwriter/musical genius, the whole mocking of the Glitter/breakdown moment etc). Why can't people ever do right by her is my question? Anywho I do think a small part of her felt that as a friend Nicki should've turned down the AI gig off the mere fact that the producers we're purposely trying it/stirring the pot, but Nicki fell into it. I believe she was a little disappointed in that and also in the fact that the producers where trying to make the show all Nicki, using her as a gimmick (as if Mariah wasn't enough to carry the season) instead of it being all about the contestants. Mariah and Nicki both cracked on each other during the beginning of the show, it was actually funny and entertaining at first. Even Nicki admitted on Jay Leno that at first they were just joking/having fun and then things took a catty turn. Also Nicki admitted on Ellen that prior to she heard the rumors that MC didn't want her there, so she went into defense mode and purposely did things to bother/annoy Mariah. So my take is it started out as them harmlessly joking with each other (possibly mocking the feud), then things took an ugly turn when Nicki starting taking things to heart. I remember the episode when they showed a montage of them not getting along after Nicki kept snapping on Mariah and Mariah said "You need to develop tougher skin, it's just jokes relax, it's not that deep" etc. Now I know we all will always have different opinions/takes on this topic, but mine is I honestly think Mimi was being playful and it went all wrong.

Wendy Williams (55,076) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
That woman has a mentality where she thinks that a woman only dates other men just to make her ex jealous. As if it's high school and also she can't seem to wrap her head around the idea that an independent woman may take up projects solely for her own gain (financial or emotional) and not just to show her ex that she is still relevant. I say this because Wendy went on and on about how Mariah should stop cancelling shows and get back on stage (during her Vegas shows) and show Nick how good she is. Why would Mariah need to do anything to show off to Nick? Nick is not dumb enough to think Mariah is going to be jobless and we don't know what his thoughts on James are. Wendy will go on and on about how Nick must be happy that Mariah is occupied elsewhere. Like seriously Wendy why don't you just stick to reporting what's in the headlines instead of spending 10 minutes making up stories in your head. This is why TMZ is better (even though they too trash Mariah sometimes), they just report the story and then done, Wendy will take her sweet time making up elaborate stories and then have the audacity to pass it off like those are solid facts. The woman thinks/daydreams/fantasizes way too much about other people's lives and she is the one with the ticky ticky boom boom. Plus I rolled my eyes at her when she said she can't picture Mariah having sex, like Wendy too much info, we don't need to know that you sit in a dark room trying to conjure up a sex dream about Mariah.
