The difference (53,282) by David F from Mexico Mariah makes a big difference among new want to be singers, she made her albums and her singing style very difficult to be surpassed, her writing is genius, nobody writes like her, God save her good spirit forever, JLo is all about dance and weak ballads, remember she stole a lot from Janet Jackson, and could not save American Idol since she is not a real singer how funny, but they kept her, it's their fault next time bring real singers, Britney wanted to be the white Janet, only those fools follow them, now Beyonce forced herself to marry that ugly Jay so she could keep relevant when there's thousands of hot men, but that's the price she has to pay, Mariah is singing all in your face and it's hard to understand since you all want perfection, go see the dance routines that they have to offer you, no soul and realness until you get the message, Celine like Mariah and Gloria were made to last forever their songs make sense, they come from their own talent. If I were Mariah I would be happy with the quality of my fans rather than quantity. Kind of like, I rather have a very small amount of "real" true, loyal, loving friends, than have millions of fake friends that talk shit about you behind your back. It's all good. Infinity (53,273) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Deedre, that is exactly the kind of take on this single that scares me. Infinity is and was meant to be the single to get Mariah back on the charts. Now if it'll fizzle because they couldn't get more promo in place due to the residency and the fact that the MV is still not out, does not turn it into yet another buzz single. The video for it is not just concert footage. I have listed on a previous post that so far we saw 6 different scenes from the video, only 1 of which is the concert footage. The rest are all shot for a supposed storyline. To think that letting another single fall off the face of the earth won't do anything to Mariah is a very wrong idea. Every little flaw of MC is blown out of proportions. People are still going on and on about how her last hit was in 2009 with Obsessed (yes they forgot about #Beautiful already). They still talk about how MC's career has fallen since E=MC2. So I do not agree that yet another "buzz single" which will be forgotten is no threat for MC. I really hope the label doesn't think that. Infinity (53,272) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada I feel Infinity is doing what it was intended to do which is promote the residency. It's not a single in the way "Fantasy" or "#Beautiful" were. I mean, the video is concert footage. Even with the positive push from Sony. (Which was great to see. What artist shouldn't be backed with positivity from the label representing them?) Sure, it would be nice if Infinity charted in the top 20, but if it doesn't, Mariah will be fine. The move to Sony and the residency have already brought so many positive elements together. As for JLo if she's doing a residency, fine. Mariah is Mariah, Britney is Britney and JLo is JLo. No I know she isn't really known for her dances and neither am I asking her to pull a Beyonce. Infact I am asking for typical Mariah dances. I was watching Honey and Heartbreaker. She looks so cute with the simple dance moves. I want dance-Riah back. "Gimme your love". Also, unrelated, but just want to clarify, no one is scared of JLo overshadowing Mariah, my point of bringing up the JLo issue was solely that JLo can do the same things as Mariah and people will always shower her with positivity while MC will always be looked at negatively. #1 to Infinity booklet (53,268) by Tiina from Finland Just saw some pictures of the booklet and on top of a beautiful dedication from Mariah to all the lambs it is filled with gorgeous rare pictures of her from over the years that are minimally if at all photoshopped. Infinity? (53,267) by Marcus from Brazil For those who think that magically a video is going to make "Infinity" happen, it's not going to happen. Based on the fact that as of now "Infinity" is 834 on iTunes, streaming of the lyric video is minimal, and it is not being played on the radio. Unless Mariah comes up with some great remixes and a Michael Jackson type of video in terms of production, I would suggest those hopeful to keep your faith of Mariah's next project and her residency in Vegas. Vegas residency (53,264) by Lee TS from USA About Mariah's residency feeling temporary. If you check out Caesar's website Celine is filling up a lot of dates and her sales seems impressive. Her expensive $500 and $250 seats are sold out for her opening night. Besides that one NY Times article there's never been a confirmation for more Mariah dates than the ones announced. I don't know, it feels very much like a test run and filling in for Celine-while-she-is-gone type of thing. It also feels a bit rushed when she announces a residency in January for a May opening night whereas JLo starts hers early 2016. Now Vegas is all divas galore, divas for everyone haha. I would die if Mariah did a Madonna/Lady Gaga/Katy Perry pic with Celine, Britney, and JLo just for laughs. But we know that will never happen since she doesn't know any of them, the shade of it all. I just want to see Mariah in good voice and good body. The only good thing that came out of Idol was that she looked flawless. I hope Brett can live up to his collaborations with M for Infinity and maybe not so much input from M, sorry but have you seen YME. And I hope she kills and slays the upcoming performances. Mariah being snubbed? / my theory (53,262) by Ardis Logic from Earth In my opinion, the reason why Mariah is possibly being snubbed, is because she has "pissed off" certain powerful people in the industry. Sometimes it seems like there is this grey cloud of bad luck over her projects. Like when she was accused of "going crazy" on TRL just because she took off her t-shirt and gave out ice cream. Then when Glitter was released on 9/11. Also, some people in the industry have agreed to do certain things or "made sacrifices" to get where they are now. Maybe Mariah knows that there are things that she could do like this but would rather not get involved with. I believe that there is a lot of control over the media. If they want to pump up someone's image, or destroy someone's image "they" can easily do it very quickly. (Wednesday 13 May 2015; 22:46)

I like to watch Clevver's DHR and Mariah never gets any love there and I think because they're so far up Ariana's you know what. Every little thing Ariana does gets reported and because Mariah's her sworn enemy she gets snubbed. Ok maybe that is a little bit exaggerated. Clevver tends to focus on Young Hollywood and their demo audience are like 12 year olds. But I would think when Mariah had her over the top welcome rollout in Vegas that it'll at least get a mention. Besides that the only time I had a problem with Clevver was when one of the girls referred Miley as "MC" and I was like, "Seriously?" I was listening to Billboard's podcast and it's interesting if you're a chart freak. They had like a special podcast dedicated to Britney's PG and she was getting so much love. They mentioned she was forecast to debut with 100k in sales and that's considered a bit on the low side. Sigh, I would be ecstatic if Mariah did those kind of numbers. I hope Infinity is a sleeper hit. Now JLo, there's nothing to say but the woman is winning. Can't really hate on that but congratulate her, she's doing her thing. She's been in talks with Vegas for awhile and even did a NYE performance at Caesar's. So I doubt she's hardly "copying" in how low she can go. There were rumors of her doing Vegas way before M ever considered a residency, that's the tea. And I feel M's residency is very temporary especially since Celine announced her return. Two disappointing things (53,258) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter 1) Britney's single was released just last week and the video is already out. No matter how crappy the song is, it is already being labelled the "song of the summer". I am not really worried about Britney's song, what upsets me is that her single release was planned nicely. The video has the right amount of weird things in it which will make casual listeners stop by and watch it. 2) JLo's Vegas residency has been announced and her promo is much better than Mariah's. Now don't get me wrong, Mariah is doing really well considering last year's disaster, but to think this woman who sings about her butt is getting so much more coverage that a woman who has the voice of an angel is annoying to say the least. Jlo's residency announcement is immediately met with positive reactions while when MC announced hers, she was being doubted and her show was predicted to be a flop. I don't consider either of them being a threat to Mariah but it irks me when crappy "artists" are treated above Mariah. This channel "Clevver News" on YT, cover all the latest Hollywood news, they are always talking about everyone including Madonna and JLo, but MC is never mentioned. Even JLo's residency has been talked about. I don't understand why people always snub Mariah. (Wednesday 13 May 2015; 19:49)
