3 versions, keep the bonus tracks coming (43,423) by Trish from USA
K, so far I have 3 versions of the album to buy, all with different art work and slightly different bonus tracks. As a collector, I'm loving it. After what she said on Letterman about hearing the album as a whole, I'm wondering if she's going to debut any songs on the upcoming morning concert?

Respect for Mariah (43,422) by Marissa from USA
I agree that Mariah deserves more respect, but I think the main reason people don't respect her as much as they should is because of her refusal to acknowledge her age/be age-appropriate. It's hard for the general public to respect a 44 year old woman who constantly claims that she's "eternally 12" and is dead serious about it. She's also had a reputation for being wacky and unconventional (lighting obsessions, Hello Kitty bathroom, marrying Nick Cannon, the obsession with butterflies, etc.) and people have a lower tolerance for that as a person gets older. When you see Patti, Tina and Aretha getting the respect they deserve, a part of it is because they have accepted their age, aren't doing the same things they were doing in their 20s and still can rest assured that they can slay. I'm not trying to tell Mariah how to live, but I definitely think that if she stopped wearing revealing clothes practically every time she steps out, dropped the constant diva act and acknowledged her age she would start getting her due respect from the general public.

Japanese cover (43,421) by Anonymous from
The Japanese cover is the best cover so far in years. That's a real cover. I like the background, the pose is elegant. I like it. Lucky Japanese fans.

Why? (43,420) by Anonymous from
To say that Mariah's face (in the interview with David Letterman) looks rare like [censored] isn't a mean thing. That's what a lot of people think and that she needs to [censored] (and I did it with sense of humor and added funy icons). We all know that she gains and looses weight frequenly and it's ok because she looks like a normal person, but her face surprised me. Now, it's a mean thing that the webmaster judge my comment saying he never read that kind of mean messages from a fan and not publishing all what I expressed. Some of you take it so seriously and in a sensitive way a comment that is not about praising Mariah. I was honest and if I think that I would say even if I get censored again with this message.

Japan cover (43,419) by David from Australia
The Japan cover is amazing. So reminiscent of Charmbracelet, an album I absolutely love. Put the two covers side by side and they're so similar.

Fav videos and worst (43,418) by Darryle from USA
1. Through the rain - The story line is great and Mariah looks good.
2. The roof - Beautiful video, really matches the song. I love when she's in the limo with her hair wet.
3. Honey - Mariah looks amazing. It's got a great concept and overall just a fun video.
Worst
1.H.a.t.e.u. - Boring just her on a beach and the crying was a bit over the top.
2. Get your number - Everything just looks cheap and plastic.
That's it, I don't dislike any videos enough for them to be on this list.

Japanese cover (43,417) by Darryle from USA
I like the cover for the Japan release. Mariah looks natural and not photoshopped unlike the other one, plus I like her hair color. The smile is like the one from Charmbracelet but it's forgivable because of how awesome the rest of the cover looks. It definitely should have been the US cover.

Live performance (43,416) by Lee from UK

For some reason I thought Mariah's trick of performing a song 3 times and then pasting the best bits together was a recent phenomenon. This video from the Charmbracelet era shows it something Mariah has done for a while now. From about 3:20 onwards, Mariah's use of the microphone stand varies. In some shots she is using it and in other shots she is not. It keeps alternating back and forth.

Help promote (43,415) by T from USA
Make sure all you lambs change your Facebook and Twitter statuses on May 27th. Help Mariah get the word out. If the material is good and people hear it then the album might have legs of its own.

Mariah's fingers / IDJ (43,412) by T from USA
I don't see anything wrong with Mariah's fingers. She has all the use of them as we see when she waves goodbye on David Letterman. She's just being eccentric. And I don't think she's leaving any songs off that are better for a future album. These song titles are the one's we've been hearing for years (except Save The Day). She's been tinkering with them and she added a few more but I do not think she has anything hidden for the next release. These are the songs she's been working on. And if she's saving anything it's a song called "Kick Rocks" from the E=MC2 era.

Shedding singles and R-E-S-P-E-C-T (43,411) by nikki from usa
Just viewing this from another angle. People are right when they say MC doesn't get much respect when she should. I'll come from the POV that MC is a smart business woman. She's been making songs for the past 4 years, so it makes sense that some songs will no longer be "fresh" or no longer go with the creative concept of the album. Some songs are vaulted while others she's proud of and wants the fans to hear she's been releasing. This way she get feedback from the fans and decides if any of her fresher material that sounds similar will make the album cut or not. She came out with guns blazing with #B and her label didn't do anything. So she's shedding singles and making the label money. Between platinum selling #B in the US alone plus reaching #1 on iTunes in 30 countries and 3 other single releases with hit remixes, I think it's safe to say MC has made around 2 million in overall sales for the label at this point. Singles don't guarantee hit albums anymore. Pharrell's Happy is a huge hit, but his album bombed. She wants this album to be seen as a whole and she's set to promote it by singing it live in concert. Perhaps the sales from "single shedding" was a way to get no longer invested IDJ off her back so she could record the kind of album she wants to.

Japanese album cover (43,409) by PJW from The U.K.
I could give it a miss, personally. What on earth have they done to her left arm? She's must've grown a second elbow.

Re: Will, Danny and Edward (43,408) by Isabelle from USA
Virgin EMI is Mariah's distributor in England and Def Jam is her new label and will distribute her new album in the US and she is no longer with Island due to the disbandment of IDJ. Mariah mentioned that she wears the glove to remind her about her rehabtation for her hand. Some people are assuming that she may have two fingers that still not functioning properly so she disguises it. Her recent weight gain may be caused by steroids injections that she may be getting due to nerve damage that she still has.

I watched a little part of the interview with David Letterman and man... [Webmaster: The rest of this message is censored. Wow, I've never seen a fan write so mean about Mariah. I had to censor about 90% of this message.]

MJ look a like (43,406) by Danny Braden from Uk
Why does Mariah remind me of Michael Jackson in the recent Japanese album cover? I don't think it helps with that one glove. My mum keeps asking me why she is still wearing it.

Edward (43,405) by Mara from United States
You could be 100% right about that. She just wants her obligation done with IDJ. It really does seem that way with the way everything has gone including the promotion and interviews. I really doubt there will be a new single before the Today show. It just doesn't look like that is going to happen. Anyhow, hope there is a digital release sooner than 5/27. Dying to hear One More Try.

One More Try (43,404) by TR from USA
I'm crazy excited and nervous at the same time for the George Michael cover, and I'm hoping she doesn't go overboard with any background vocals. It would be beyond amazing if Walter co-produced this with her (aren't they re-teaming?), and they at least partially used an orchestral arrangement, and she isn't whispering and cooing all over the place. This song doesn't need incessant high notes, or flourishes, or layering. It's going to take a massive amount of soul to bring this anywhere close to where George had it. Of course, I wouldn't trust anyone else but her to do this song justice. (Remember back in the late 90s when that girl group Divine remade it? No one else does, either.) But basically, it would be perfection if this carries the same quality production as how she and Walter handled "All Cried Out" for Allure. Fingers crossed, and I'll try my best to lower my expectations a bit haha. If she'd done this during the pre-Butterfly era, #1 with a bullet no doubt. Now... ehhhh. Excited regardless. And 6:21 gives me hope that she's not rushing through it breathlessly (TAOLG), but nurtures those incredible lyrics with heartbreaking, haunting chest vocals (think Petals). Give me Without You/Open Arms/Beautiful Ones even Bringing On The Heartbreak-style on this. It could be a single for sure, and bring George on tour to turn out a surprise duet.

Hope for the best (43,402) by George Golden from UK
Why is the Japanese album cover so much better than the other two? Who makes these choices? It should have been the original cover or even the Billboard cover pic should have been perfect. Oh why does everything this era seem so amateur? I hope the album debuts at number one, please we can't afford to have anything less than a number one album. The funny thing is that there sure will be better songs on there than what we have gotten so far. Single choices are a big problem with Mariah. Oh well lets hope for the best.

Virgin EMI (43,401) by Will from England
Sorry if this has already been talked about, but I was just reading the Wonderland magazine and it says that the album is going to be released through "Virgin EMI". I assume this is a mistake, just like the "Always Mine (Eternal)" gaff that they put in there.

Re. market (43,400) by THE TRUTH from USA
Daryll, you said it perfectly. Common sense marketing, look at who actually listens to and buys your music and target them. You also have to grow up with your fanbase, not abandon them in an attempt to chase and secure a youth market that could care less about the hits you had twenty years ago. Yes she could absolutely own the AC market for half the money she and her team spend chasing nonsense like the Rick Ross Record.

Isabelle (43,399) by Will from England
It's funny you should mention that remix. I think it was yesterday, Mariah (or someone from her team) tweeted out that there was a new #Beautiful remix on her SoundCloud page. From my notification, it's called the "Sidney Samson Dance Remix". However, the tweet was quickly deleted. I also checked her SoundCloud page but there was nothing there. But, I still got the notification about the tweet on my phone and took a screenshot just in case.

This is an "F You IDJ" album (43,398) by Edward from USA
When I saw Mariah on Letterman, I was very surprised at the fact that she has gained so much weight her face looked like a full moon. I don't expect Mariah to be going out of her way to promote this album or any single whatsoever, other than the required promotion she's supposed to do according to her contract. It is evident Mariah wants to get away from this label, they have creative differences. She says one thing, they say something else, then Mariah retaliates by acting a certain way, and they do the same. This might turn out to be a good album as a whole, but I don't think Mariah put the best of what she has recorded in this album. After this album, we should expect another album shortly after. She just wants this album to be out and be done with it and them. She's definitely conveying a message on this album, and that's all she wants. This won't be TEOM or E=MC2 type of promotion. Rihanna just like many others have jumped ship from IDJ, Mariah is still tied to them with this album, and hopefully this nightmare would be over soon.

Stop assuming things about Mariah and Nick (43,397) by Joyce from USA
What I think is funny, is how others get bent out of shape when you have an opinion or thoughts that they don’t agree with and tell you to stop it. Really, it’s that strange sense of entitlement and authoritative tone that seems over the top.
