Frustration waiting (40,877) by Me. I am Carly from USA
I have been frustrated with the wait as most of you have, so I went back and was looking at all kinds of old albums songs ect.ect. And there is just no way to deny that this woman is magical, so I am certain the new album will be amazing. We get frustrated because we know what she can do and it is so hard to wait for it. Mariah always surprises us and she will again.

Can I borrow the delete button for one day? Please? I promise I won't be a douche bag with it. All of the new features are great by the way.

There is a delete button, but it is only visible for me. That way I can delete all messages with spam or messages which are very mean towards Mariah (or don't follow my rules).

Valentine's Day (40,874) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Rashidi, I think what you heard is the offer Mariah gave for charity. She urged fans to donate to a particular charity event and a winner will be chosen, who'll be flown to New York to Mariah's apartment (along with a loved one) and she'll sing some of their (the fan's) favorite songs one to one as a thank you for helping her raise money. Which is quite a sweet and generous thing for her to do. Other than that, the only other thing set for 14th February is her single release.

Thank you for your continued devotion to this site. The like/dislike feature is a great addition. Perhaps going forward you could work on a delete button for certain posts from certain people? That's a joke lol, or is it?

Valentine's Unplugged (40,872) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia
I believe I read somewhere that Mariah would do a special concert for fans somewhere during the Valentine's Day. My suggestion is that Mariah could do another unplugged concert, maybe around 7 or 8 songs in the setlist, and even perform the new single. Who knows, maybe Mariah could sing When I Saw You or even All I've Ever Wanted on that concert.

Random epiphany (40,871) by RadChad from United States
I'm listening to my MP3 player at work at the moment and the live version of Marvin Gaye's "Distant Lover" comes on and I think wow how great would it be for Mariah Carey to cover this song. I would love to hear her dig deep and sang with this much soul. Then to confirm this epiphany "Butterfly"comes on right aftwards. I hope this was a sign. Just a random wish.

The Tonight Show performance of WBT (40,870) by Eternal from Italy

This video disappeared for a few years due to copyright reasons but it's back at last! I thought her voice sounded really full and powerful here and it was just one of the many times in 2005 when her vocals were really on point. Her performance on BET Blueprint will always be the best for me though.

Isaac / RJJ (40,869) by Licia from USA
Isaac, half the people on this message board probably have Twitter accounts and they probably already know what I know. I didn't spoil anything, that DJ did. RJJ, you are definitely a genius. Although Drake is tamer than most rappers, he can be just explicit. Depends on the type of song and what direction they would go in. I agree that he should not have leaked the title, but I would be more upset if he had leaked the song. That's more of an issue than leaking the title in my eyes.

Isaac Ortez / Obsessed Mariah's worst song? (40,868) by Sunshine Divalamb from Germany
I'm not sure if I understand you correctly "Obsessed" is one of her worst songs? It debuted at number 11 and was Mariah highest debut in over a decade. This song was in the top 40 for 20 weeks, longer than her number 1 smash hit "We Belong Together". It may be your personal opinion that it's her worst song but it's not a fact. And fyi, I love "Obsessed" and play it regularly, so I couldn't disagree more with what you are saying.

Jeremy Carey (40,867) by Sunshine Divalamb from Germany
There is no single promotion because she didn't release a single yet. Yes she can give us a teaser or a picture but this isn't a must nor is it a guarantee that if she does it will be more of a success. Even with pre-promotion a teaser etc. it can backfire. Sometimes it's better to wait and see before we already say they are doing it wrong. This isn't Mariah's best era let's be honest here. It has been a mess, but I also think we should let go of what went wrong and focus on the things ahead. Repeating the negative will not make it positive.

B (40,864) by Isaac from USA
Well she didn't do it with the song "Obsessed". And I doubt there are any guys who play that one. I love Mariah but that's probably her worst single ever. So this new one should be a lot better.

Bad reviews (40,863) by Lamb_O_Chop from Australia
Those reviews for Charmbracelet were bogus IMO. Just because she chose to use her softer register on that album didn't mean her voice was gone. She's always used her airy voice here and there (Can't Let Go, So Blessed, Looking In, a great portion of Butterfly, Bliss, etc). It actually takes vocal skills to sing like that whether folks love it or hate it. Her upper register and belting voice sound very healthy and full on that album (Through The Rain, Saving Grace, Subtle Invitation, even Clown had a pow vocal climax), but to each its own. If it inspired Mimi to comeback swinging then I'm not mad. Note: Mariah's vocals has always been criticize whether they said she was over singing or undersinging. I vaguely remember one Music Review review saying she sounds like "Aretha Franklin through a strain microphone (or speaker)" and that album sold over 30 million. So like seriously what are you gonna do? She'll always be criticized no matter what.

Leak (40,862) by 123 from USA
I think it is unfortunate that someone would leak information about someone else’s hard work. One way to piss Mariah off is to beat her to the punch about releasing information about her own work. Especially since she has had her ideas stolen before and released before she could by powers that be who had access to her work. Loverboy anyone? Fans need to remember that. To have your idea stolen and watch it go number 1 has got to be one of the worst things to happen in her professional career. A lot of folk in the entertainment industry usually get advanced copies/information about upcoming projects but it is a rule among the industry to keep your mouth shut. I want to know as much as the next fan but it does Mariah no favors to press someone on social media about information they may be privy to. Fasten your seatbelts lamily, this era is going to be a bumpy ride.

Licia (40,861) by 123 from USA
Licia, because I’m a genius, naw just kidding. The song popped into my head right before Triumphant came out when Mariah did that big conference call with a lot of radio people. My friend works in radio and was on the call and he told me that some people had asked her who she would like to work with. She replied that she had some ideas but didn’t want to reveal them since her ideas happen to get stolen a lot. Lol. I’ve always loved that song and is was like, a sleeper hit. Once I heard the disappointing Triumphant, I thought, why didn’t they just take an old hit and re-write it? It would be perfect for Mariah to re-write it and get a hot up and coming rapper on it. I never thought about Kendrick Lamar on that song before, but now that I close my eyes and imagine it in my head, his tone would be interesting on that song along with whatever clever rap he would come up with. Usually when rappers are featured on an r&b song they have a vulgar verse so I figured that Drake would be a better choice. I don’t want Mariah release any news before the 14th. I would rathersee she drops the song and then bombard the media/social networks with bits and pieces of info afterwards. If she drops the song the first week and then drops the video the second week and follow up with performances each week afterwards, she could shoot the song to number once with purchases and video streams. It is all a calculated/timed numbers game, if Miley can do it with Wrecking Ball, Mariah can too.

Say it's true? Why would you put down spoilers and ruin it for everyone? Hopefully it's all fake. Or some rumor to throw people off?

Mariah (40,857) by B from USA
Mariah read the reviews of Charmbracelet and after reading that her voice sounded thin, airy, and in tatters. She came back singing her heart out and released We Belong Together, the song of the decade. A song she sang from her soul. She knows how to write a hit song and produce it by herself. She knows her status, her legend, her legacy, her talent, and her voice. She'll deliver. Queen MC, I'm a lamb always.

Name of new single (40,853) by Licia from USA
Some DJ on Twitter told the fans the name of the single and he erased the tweets, but it was too late. The Mariah mafia caught on. Lol. Mariah will not be pleased especially if she was trying to do a big reveal. Apparently the song is callled Get You Off my Mind.

Jeremey Carey / promotion (40,852) by Edward from USA
Jeremey Carey, I wouldn't be too worried, since many pieces of news have been surfacing about Mariah building up to the Valentine's Day release. We now at least know the name of a track "Dedication" from the new album, Darhyl "DJ" Camper and Wale have obviously given the ok to drop some hints about their collaborations with her. I don't think this is a coincidence, I think it is a way to draw people's attention. The fact that Mariah already has a single ready, and maybe a video filmed, makes me happy. I don't like when she rushes things. I think she'll get it right this time. I just hope radio and people in general connect to the new single. Some not too good things have happened to Mariah in the past few months, but she knows how to use adversity as inspiration for her music. I have a good feeling about this one.

Change of album title (40,851) by Will from England
I know this has been beaten to death already, but I just wanted to throw in my quick two cents. I do find it slightly amusing how some lambs think that by simply changing the name of the album that all the delays, single releases, dodgy performances etc. will simply be erased be detached from the album, simply because it has a different name. Mariah could name it "Dem Babies Chemically Toxic Farts" and it still would be tagged with the dodgy promo and singles that it has had over the past two years. I, personally, think she should keep #Beautiful and TAOLG on the album. Both are perfectly good songs. And as for the whole Nas collab thing, I'm not that familiar with his a lot of his work (I know he worked on the TGIFY remix and that was good), but as long as the song(s) is/are good, then I will take anything at this point.

Rose McGowan (40,847) by B from USA
What was your and your husband's first dance? Busta Rhymes and Mariah Carey, "I Know What You Want". I've always loved Rose. But this makes me love her even more! Jawbreaker is one of all time favorite movies and I own every season of Charmed and watch it everyday. Sarah Michelle Gellar's (who starred as Buffy Summers on Buffy The Vampire Slayer) favorite singer is Mariah. That's right, Buffy is a lamb!

Promotion (40,844) by Jeremey Carey from United States
Am I the only worried lamb about this new singles promotion. 15 more days and no tweet or picture/artwork or even a simple paragraph explaining who she worked with for it. No interviews. I know she was busy filming the music video and all, but can we get a behind the scenes picture? The official Mariah Carey website hasn't even been changed, when "The art of letting go" was being promoted they gave the website a countdown layout with the artwork. And several interviews. With Beautiful we had a 30 second clip of the music video and her laughing with the guitar. And with "The art of letting go" we saw her behind the scenes in the studio. I'm just worried that they are already starting this new single in a lack of pre-promotion. Mariah must have faith in this single, it must be a killer because if they wait for its release date to promote it... Well we'll see what happens I suppose.
