Mariah's FB, Licia (40,759) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Wow so MC now has 17 million followers on FB. I am happy to see that it increased from 14 million to 17 million in less than 2 months! (I know I am being stupid and/or silly, but hey it excites me to see more people joining her fandom.) Licia you are right, I posted the same message a while back, where on earth is the video? I really want to see it. She had an accident and yet went to shoot the rest and then why drop it? The Jeezy remix was the only one I liked so I wanted to see what kind of video they came up with.

Beautiful remix video (40,754) by Licia from USA
I still want to see this remix video. Of all the versions of the song this one with Jeezy is the best imo. It's my favorite. I hope that eventually she will show it. I mean she damn near killed herself to make it and she took that broken body back in to finish it. It would be a shame to have done all that work and it never sees the light of day. I didn't have an issue with the original video, but this remix video looked very promising.

I think he was just joking because he couldn't figure out what she did. I could be wrong so don't quote me on that. Lol.

Edward (40,752) by Stephen from London, United Kingdom
Hey Edward, you should organise a US/NYC gathering, preferably in the first week of June, when I'll be in NYC haha! I'm joking btw, obviously, that's up to someone with the time on their hands to agree to organise. I have to say, I've never been to a Mariah fan gathering, and I'm looking forward to the UK event. When I went to Vegas in 2009 to see Mariah, I was too busy shopping and partying lol.

New era worries (40,751) by MissunderstoodAngel from United states
Hey lambs. I don't know guys, I'm a bit worried about this era. Mariah has been very careless and sloppy. Her cancellations are a key indicator that this in another Memoirs path. Not to mention her image and physique has been an absolute hot mess. The last good commercial album. She need that formula. Not neccessarily the same direction of music, but the same effort. With the Emancipation, the lyrics were great, the songs were great, the videos were great, her voice was great, her image was great. Mariah needs to try. She needs to understand that it's not like before, when anything she put out went #1. This time around she actually has to be crafty and try.

E=MC2 (40,750) by Will from Australia
I agree with you John, that's one of my favourite albums too with Daydream. I'm also a massive fan of Memoirs but that has developed with time whereas I liked Charmbraclet originally but don't tend to listen to any tracks from it anymore, same with Rainbow and Glitter. I think Side Effects would've been a great single too, they really missed a step with that album but did she have her miscarriage during that time? Super excited for the new album.

RJJ12 / Edward (40,749) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
RJJ12, yes hopefully they will come up with a good video. I still didn't see the videos I told you about and I am not sure if Indrani was involved, but for Mariah's sake, I really hope she takes note from her videos from Butterfly and TEOM. You are totally right about Beautiful, the song was great but the video was horrible, sitting on a bike touching herself wearing that awful outfit. The second video of Beautiful (the explicit version where there is just one scene throughout, and she's dancing in that yellow dress for like 4 minutes) was so pointless, i don't even know why they released it. The Roof was great too, simple and classy. So is Breakdown. Edward, I was going to write this before but I forgot, you are right about how Mariah should be completely ready with videos and remixes and promotion strategies in mind. Unlike last time where she kept releasing remixes for Beautiful for 1 whole week for almost no good reason, it really did nothing much for the song, and only the Jeezy remix was good. I am glad she is already shooting the video, hopefully she will learn from her mistake and make this year completely about her (like 2005).

Lee Daniels on Arsenio show (40,747) by Manny from U.S.
Have you guys seen this clip? Lee Daniels tells Arsenio that Mariah got some surgery on her cheeks. Mariah has denied rumors of surgery (Sharon Osbourne AMA comment). I wonder if Mariah would be upset at Lee for saying this. They are good friends. Just a thought. I know it seems irrelevant to talk about this, but I have noticed Mariah looked different than when she started her career. I love her anyway.

Mimi L / Enwar00 / Clueey23 / Austin (40,746) by 123 from USA
Mimi L. from Bangladesh, I checked out the videos. They were ok, nothing remarkable, but if they are filming in the jungle in Puerto Rico, who knows what it might look like. I agree with your video choices/examples of her looking sexy (without trying to hard) yet classy. I hated how she portrayed herself in the Beautiful video. Too extra. I also loved how she appeared in The Roof video. She seemed to just be herself reminiscing about a past love. Enwar00, I love Wisegirls. Glitter was horrible and her acting was bad, but she totally redeemed herself in Wisegirls. She stole every scene and portrayed an actual character and the movie was really good. She needs more roles where she plays a character completely different from her actual persona. Clueey23, E=MC2 was a solid album full of singles. I wished she would have released I Stay In Love as the second single. It would have went #1 with promo. Everyone that hears it is like, what album was that on? As soon as the album dropped she disappeared and didn’t re-emerge until July but by then, no one cared and the momentum was lost. I never cared too much for Migrate but a lot of non-fans love it. When I play it they are like, that’s hot, who sings this? That’s a hit. Why didn’t she release it? Austin, I believe you are spot on as to the duets on the album.

Album title (40,745) by Austin from USA
I agree, Mariah should drop the album title, "The art of letting go". Too much bad press associated with the shenanigans of delaying last years album release. However, I hope the song "The art of letting go" makes it onto the album. It's a great song. I hope there are more songs on the album than the usual 14 or so. If she is truly remaking "Lullaby of birdland" I'm super excited. Mariah has always dabbled in jazz music and this is a classic song. I can't wait for the day she releases a straight jazz album. Usher has great vocals and I wouldn't mind hearing another duet between the two. I'm so excited about the new album, I've always considered her album releases as events! I hope she starts teasing us soon with news.

Clueey23 / Chris / new era (40,744) by John from USA
Welcome Chris! I'm glad to see a relatively young Mariah fan on here. And clueey23, I agre with everything you said. I still get angry just thinking about how badly the E=MC2 era was handled. Radio was behind her (after TEOM), she looked the best she had since Butterfly, and that album had so many singles. Migrate was a no brainer, and after Touch My Body, it would have been the perfect summer jam. E=MC2 is actually my favorite album after Daydream (which is perfection). Anyhow, I'm very excited for this new era. I have a feeling that Mariah herself is really in it this time. I feel like she knows she needs a hit radio single. At this point, I'll be happy with a top 10 like Obsessed, but a number 1, well, if she gets another number 1, I will run down my block naked. Lol please get out there and promote like hell Mimi. I know you can do still this.

Hello everyone. My name's Chris, I'm 18, I'm from New York and I'm a huge fan of Mariah Carey. I grew up listening to her music and she's one of my favorite singers of all time. My favorite Mariah Carey albums are Daydream and Music Box. They're both such amazing albums. I also like Lady GaGa, Christina Aguilera, Beyonce and a lot of other singers. I'm so excited for some new music and I can't wait for the queen of pop to come back and slay us all. I'm looking forward to meeting lambs from all over the world on here and I can't wait for some new music from Mariah Carey.

New album title (40,741) by Lamb_O_Chop from Australia
I thought TAOLG was a brilliant album title, but I must agree that it has to go now darlings, only because its been too long. "Mariah" would've been a good album title, but God forbid folks think she's copying Beyonce. So I say it should just be the title of the best song of the album and hopefully it's a title that sums up everything well.

#Beautiful (40,740) by B from USA
I hope it makes the new album along with Jezzy remix. The new title should be Mariah. No TAOLG or Triumphant.

Duets / number of songs (40,739) by clueey23 from USA
The only duets I can think about are Stevie Wonder and Maxwell. They are two of my favorite male vocalist besides Luther Vandross and Brian McKnight. It's random, but I also like Eddie Kendricks from The Temptations. Lol. Justin Timberlake and Usher would bring in the numbers though. I think "How Much" is so underrated, and if that song had been a single back then, it would've been #1. MC and Usher sound great together. It would be interesting to hear MC and MJB on a track. I was also thinking about how many tracks this album is going to have. I would love 18. It's been soo many years since a regular studio album, I would actually love a trilogy, like The Weeknd. Can we just get 3 albums with 10 songs on each album? Lol.

"The Art of Letting Go" (40,737) by clueey23 from USA
I love the album title "The Art of Letting Go". I honestly don't think "Triumphant" is going to be apart of this project. And I wish people wouldn't act like the song "The Art of Letting Go" was a commercial single. It was more like a promo for the album. "#Beautiful" was a commercial single and got such treatment. Only a few weeks left until a new commercial single, I can't wait! I agree with Edward, that everything should be ready to go. I don't want to wait a month for a video. And I really hope that radio supports this project to the fullest. I also hope and pray that the album is critically acclaimed as well as commercially successful. I think it would be cool if MC did some type of tv special on one of those music channels or Bravo. Also, an interview with Oprah's "Next Chapter". And of course all of the day and night tv programming on ABC, CBS, and NBC. But most of all, I don't want a "Bye Bye" after a "Touch My Body". Seriously, still wondering how "Migrate" slipped through the cracks. Every time I hear it, I have my own video concept in my head. Lol. What do you guys think about a Wendy Williams interview? I think it would make for great tv.

The Art Of Letting Go (40,736) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I agree, she should change the album name to something more positive for a new beginning, start completely afresh and slay it. Although I loved both Triumphant and Beautiful, I would be fine if she just leaves all those behind and only include new materials in this album, with the Valentine's day single being considered the first official single. Her videos should be more well thought and classy (no more H.A.T.E.U repeats). Sexy is fine, but not trying too hard! (It's Like That, Honey, WBT were so sexy and yet classy.) And the Whitney cover, if true, should be an album cut, not a single, at the very least not the lead single. Lead should be a Mariah original, possibly something upbeat to get the party started (like she described It's Like That). I know a lot of fans are just fine with Mariah releasing new material, and they don't care about chart success. As much as I am dying to hear some new MC originals, I want Mariah to bring her A game! She should take inspiration from how hard she worked to promote TEOM and apply the same strategy for this album. With all the nonsensical music that people release nowadays and get number 1s with, I want Mariah to shut them all up and show them how it's done. She might not be at her vocal best (one can't blame her, the lady has been putting her vocal chords through hell for years), but she still is and will be one of the best singers in the world. I really want Mariah to take over the charts and have all the attention back on her.

Stephen from London (40,734) by Jeremey Carey from United States
I actually think the title "The emancipation of letting go of Mimi" would be an awesome title for a goodbye album, which I think Mariah should totally consider after this new album TAOLG is released with powerful songs and killer vocals and consistent performances. Then she should leave on a high note. I think it would be awesome if this album has a triple threat of singles like "The emancipation of Mimi". As much as I love Mimi, I think she should focus on her and her family. She is getting older. Plus I want her to be remembered for good things, if she stays out when she gets older her vocal condition will worsen and rest may not help her sound as amazing as she did in Australia last year. And it would be wonderful if she did duets on other relevant people's albums and little performances like the Jimmy Fallon thing she did with just the piano and a few fans. And she could continue to perform Christmas gigs. But I'll love her even if she continues to perform well into her 60s.

Delusional (40,733) by CMC from NY,NY
Edward and Stephan, I'm glad to see other lambs are on the same page as far as the tired TAOLG album title. And yes it is linked with failure at this point. Edward, I 100% agree, promotion videos released promptly and remixes ready to go have to be on point. There's no room for error at this point. Isaac, just because Mariah thinks something up and creates it doesn't make it genius. We all love Mariah in our own way. I'm a fan since her debut at 5 years old. But darling, in my opinion, and the mass of most lambs I'm sure agree, Triumphant was definitely not the comeback first single we were all hoping for. Let's not forget which was originally the lead single off "this" new era. It's all in the past, I'm tired of it. I loved Beautiful but I want all that left in last year for sure. Yes a new album title is a must! Something referencing letting go sounds smart.

Christopher NY, NY (40,732) by Tarraga from New York City
Hi Christopher. I live in NYC too and I have been a member of this board for a while. I don't know any Mariah fan in NYC. I would like to do what our fellow UK lambs are trying to do, a get together to enjoy Mariah's music. I am always afraid of talking about my idol with other people because they get really nasty when I talk about her. NYC lambs, let's get together. Here is my email, dlptarraga@yahoo.com.
